#star answers#this isn't a full breakdown of all their interactions#but I wanted to examine specifically how Hoyo queer-codes their modern male characters#and how they pushed their own boundaries by A LOT with 3.1 and#Phaidei#like it's not even a competition guys#it's a bit of an unfair situation because Haikaveh has been around for so long#and Star Rail's story moves on from individual characters faster than Genshin's does#but I would argue that Phaidei is already#to a certain extent#past Haikaveh in terms of “legitimacy”#because the devs made some choices with Phaidei that they've literally never made before#so I'm going to talk about that!#just need a bit more time to write it all up!
