Voiceplay Visuals: Drunken Sailor

Man I've been waiting to get to this one!

Drunken Sailor was uploaded on the 12th of August, 2023, and like the other pirate-themed video Voiceplay did akmost two years prior, it features Jose Rosario Jr! It also features Matthew Buckner (aka "Bucky") in an acting role, as the "drunken sailor" that Voiceplay sing about. "Bucky" used to be a vocalist in "4:2:Five" for a while (iirc), and he's good friends with Geoff, and even helped with the choreography for Geoff's Monster Mash video! Just like Hoist The Colours, both the arrangement and video were done by Geoff (who also wrote an original bridge for the song! (genius that he is)), and he also co-directed the video (with Tony), and worked together with Eli on lighting design. This might be one of those posts where I get close to the picture-upload-maximum and have to start counting them just in case, but still, it would be for good reason! So let's go!

I'm not sure if any of the group are wearing any of the same clothing pieces they wore in Hoist The Colours (I did a brief bit of visual comparison), but Jose, acting as the captain of this "ragtag motley crew" once more, is pretty close.

Also, Geoff is going with the bare-shoulders look again (we always stan), but so is Cesar! (Good For Him)

Voiceplay said in the comments (in a reply to someone) that "there were a few different takes of this shot, and this was the one where it looked the MOST like Layne was gonna burst into flame." I think they nailed it 😝😁

Firstly, it sounds at least like Cesar is singing "hosepipe bottom", but the original line is "hosepipe on him". And despite what Cesar is implying with the wooden toilet seat, the line has nothing to do with toilets or bathrooms. A "scupper" is "an opening in the side walls of a vessel or an open-air structure, which allows water to drain instead of pooling" (according to Wikipedia). Ships have scuppers at deck-level, to allow for rainwater and/or seawater to drain off. So basically the line about "stick him in the scupper with a hosepipe on him" is about spraying the drunken sailor in question with a hose[pipe] (to try to sober him up with a dousing of cold water), in a part of the ship where the water can easily drain away afterwards.

Yes, that doll is definitely creepy, and I have no clue where Geoff got it from or what gave him the idea, but, according to Geoff in the comments section (comment from Voiceplay's channel, but it was almost definitely him who wrote it): "Her name is Clara and SHE HAS FEELINGS!" 😅

Also, the line "put him in the bed with the captain's daughter" probably isn't actually meant to be taken literally either. The main consensus that I've seen online is that "the captain's daughter" actually referred to a cat-'o'-nine-tails whip. (Not talking about the vocals or arrangement, I'm talking about song background/context! Which I've done before!)

This cover is utterly fantastic - all the silliness of "Classic Voiceplay", with the serious skills and high-quality video production of "Modern Voiceplay"! The video is hilarious, the cover is ridiculously creative, and really it just highlights all of the things to love about each person in the video, visually/performance-wise and vocally!

Not many Voiceplay videos left for me to make posts about now, but there are certainly still ridiculously-amazing things to come, so stay tuned!

Can't understand how chengcheng fans has always been the first who started to disgust people and start a war in the fandom.

Let me tell you a story. In China itself, modao once was a peaceful fandom on Lofter or Weibo during 2016-18, because the fans are all coming from reading the novel. At most they like the friendship of young Shuangjie but not UwU-ing so bad while scolding WangXian.

It was Not until late 2018-19 when donghua and CQL came out. A lot of JC stans spread like moss, either baby-ing JC or breaking WangXian by saying ChengXian originally is the official pair but because LWJ got popular mxtx give it to him (simply daydreaming😒 Even before writing, mxtx has said she first constructed what kind of protagonist she'd write and what kind of Husband he'd get thus WangXian are canon even before the making of MDZS).

At first the pairing of JC with LXC originally came due to the coincidence of Shuangjie and Shuangbi, but afterward, they literally recruit almost every character in MDZS to love their chengcheng. Such as ChengNing, ChengQing, ChengJingyi, RuohanCheng, ChengYao, SangCheng, even incest ChengYanli! etc, because chengcheng is pitiful being alone and he needs much love, lol. And finally, they simply insult both WangXian for betraying JC for love, or wen sibling for whatever sin they said to be guilty of, insulting Jin Guangyao for the third party between XiCheng (almost every XiCheng fanfic must hate and step on JGY to dregs to make JC look so much better, which is funny because XiYao is kinda popular in China much earlier, so this is a tense war, poor Xichen though🤣).

The even funnier thing is that they started to protest "why can't official pairing be broken?". In China, fans are pretty strict to official pairing (even the role of top/bottom, so this is really getting on a lot of people's nerves). If previously they robbed WWX and hate LWJ, now they started to rob LWJ and hate WWX. Yes. They think why did WWX get all the best thing? Why can't LWJ love and pamper their chengcheng? (Oh they already forgot about pairing LXC with JC in order to pamper him in the early days, can't get enough and want more).

There is even a party of DuWei or HeiMXTX(smth like antiwwx and antimxtx here), distorting canon facts (practically the so called canon they say is by ignoring 80℅ of facts itself), distorting every good intention of WWX into sinful and wrong things, even stepping on mxtx and slander her for neglecting her character just to make way for wangxian. The funny thing is that not even JGY Stan are as hardworking as them in slandering WWX and mxtx, when JGY literally got butchered in the end compared to the alive and kicking JC.

Naturally, WangXian fans get disgusted so bad they retaliated hard😂 around 2019 and intensified around 2020-21 (now the fandom has cooled down a bit). All kinds of meta and fanfic to slap awake those daydreaming ChengDu (literally mean Poisonous Cheng) are made. We can find tens of thousands articles (there are different tags, so rounding them up, it is more than 100k articles) has been written to refute the weird logic-brainwashing from JC stans on Lofter or Weibo.

This. At this point, came another problem.

Some of them simply hated JC but think that JFM and JYL are good people (which I also think so, they are just simply normal people who treat WWX just like how normal people in their shoes would be, without particular malice or hidden conspiracy). Some of them got angry for ChengDu remarks who said WWX owe YMJ for life, so they feel disdain even to JFM and JYL because those 2's kindness arent so great, if they were replaced by someone else WWX could even be treated better, yet why did it got said WWX owe them so much? Small portion of them even turn to dislike JYL so bad for being an ignorant and almost love brain Mary Sue girl, in retaliation of ChengDu who practically insult all kind of shits about WWX and Wen Qing while putting the saint family YunmengJiang onto the pedestal (including JYL), lol.

Anyway, there are all kind of different sides even for those who hated JC and his poisonous fanatic. But each one of them came due to JC Stan brainless remarks in the first place, lmao.

But what I want to say is, no matter what country, no matter what fandom, whether local or international, why is it always those JC stan who started to first disgust people and provoking a fight? Like, is this really hereditary? Those who worshipped JC are destined to distort the canon facts, refuse to accept reality, must insult and slander other characters to whitewash their own idol?

That has always been a mystery to me🙃

I think my largest frustration with the English side of the base is, that I never had to defend the fact that the Ancestral Hall fight, was never in the wrong for Wangxian and Wen Ning when it came to Chinese fans. This is completely on the side of mostly American fans.

I remember the mess of Jiang Cheng fans while the novel was being written only to have been replaced by nastier Xue Yang fans that were the ones to chase MXTX finally off of weibo, which is honestly as notoriously gross to creators as twitter is on the western side of things. It stopped once they didn't get what they wanted, and at least JC stans there stay in their corner because they know they will be mocked to hell and back for claiming distorted canon is actually true (trust me bro).

I can very much deal with Chinese mainland and Taiwan fans as they are well aware what fanon and canon separation is. What I am shocked about is how heavily I still get insulting anons and slurs from his base specifically that do only speak English and use some distorted meta that argues about "cultural sensitivity" yet they don't have anything other than some weak argument about their own personal life as proof of it all to try to shut me down when I speak about the abuse Wei Wuxian did face from Jiang Cheng's actions.

I don't mind fanon, I ship Xicheng as I have said multiple times. I can deal with a softer Jiang Cheng as long as there is acknowledgment of his past actions being shit and him having to work damn hard to be a better person for the people he supposedly loves so much. Yet I am still being told "personal experience is always different so that means this behavior from him is actually okay", when no, because the author of the work makes it textually aware that it is not at all ever meant to be a reason to take Jiang Cheng's side. Just because you, personally, relate to a character does not mean the text of them being meant as an antagonist changes suddenly. Your unhappiness of that does not change the story that is shown and what we are meant to generally pull from each of his interactions with Wei Wuxian.

I am tired of being told to accept that people want to make a hateful homophobic, selfish rich man, as something else and demanded to accept that people want to project that instead of what he is. I don't need to accept that because my rejection of that "hurt feelings." I am not here to say all interpretations are valid, because it is not truthful to the story text or the author's further clarifications of how she meant for him to be perceived.

Marvel Infinity Comics Love Unlimited #44 Review

*Spoilers*

The issue starts with Gwen getting a new costume and talking about Jean/Scott/Wolverine/Emma love quad…

Gwen talks about the Wither and Elixir rivalry and describes Elixir as the “good boy” (REALLY??! That’s like saying Hellion and Rockslide are “good boys” 😂🤣)

Gwen mentions Elixir’s history of being part of the Reavers and uses that to her advantage by telling Josh that she’s having trouble controlling her powers and needs his support…

As Gwen puts her plan in motion and the guys fall for her, she begins to feel guilty….

Wither finds out what happens from Eyeboy, who saw Gwen with both Elixir and Wither…

Apparently Elixir and Wither are friends now?? (They were NEVER close even BEFORE the Laurie drama…so this feels kind of out of the blue…)

Instead of them fighting…they hug it out and Gwen feels even worse, admitting that she’s glad their still friends and that she didn’t really have feelings for either of them…

(The “girl who can warp reality” line is a bit strange…since while Laurie COULD manipulate people emotionally…it’s a very DIFFERENT power set from Gwens??)

While Gwen is contemplating all of this, a goo monster nearly attacks her but she’s saved by Julie Power.

Julie compliments Gwens hair and the issue ends with Gwen realizing she has a crush on Julie.

It’s disappointing…because #43 was super fun and this is…not as great…

Besides some weird canon issues…like the Laurie comment….it just felt… kind of cliche?

I often wished we got more development in this issue… but I realize the writer only had so much time (when did Elixir and Wither become friends? What caused this to happen? Does this mean neither of them are with Laurie??) 

But I think the BIGGEST disappointment was instead of Gwen realizing that she maybe doesn’t NEED relationships to stay relevant (god KNOWS X-23 fans WISH Laura would stop being shoved into bad relationships!)… the writer instead goes for a ham fisted LGBTQIA+ relationship, that feels a bit like a stereotype on bi-women?? 

Having a bi-woman represented as possibly ruining a friendship for essentially…clout…isn’t GREAT, especially when you consider HOW MANY BI-CHARACTERS are represented as morally dubious or evil 😬

I agree with most people’s comments on Twitter- if you were going to go with the twist of Gwen falling for a woman…wouldn’t Wallflower, the original STARTER of the Wither/Elixir drama, have been funnier than randomly throwing Julie in??

Still- it was great to see both characters and considering how little page time we get of the NXM…this WAS kind of a fun little treat! (I rescind this being SMaTXM tier levels however!)

Also Elixir and Wither look pretty amazing in the art! (The “pretty boy” look really works for both of them😂)

A random information while reading your answer to the post saying Rhaenyra is a bloodthirsty tyrant. I find funny to say that a lot of king fell in the 1700' because of their greed because, one of the most famous example of monarchy failing in this period, the French one, did not begin because of the king's greed per se. It began because the king wanted to tax the nobility. Of course the latter reacted badly and manipulate the population to confront the king and make it stop. Of course it backfired on them at some point but... it was not really the king's greed and disregard for the folk that lead to the revolution. More of the nobles' greed. And well, Martin did not take the french example for his story but the greens would make fine french nobility.

In the case of the French Revolution, the King was the LEAST to blame for all this mess. French people may disagree with me, but I've read a ton of stuff on the French Revolution and I don't really care. That's facts. The King wanted to reform the Monarchy actually (by taxing the nobility as you say). He tried. Maybe he didn't try hard enough but he did try. The system was much bigger than him. It's the nobility, (the other Aristocrats) along with the church that are to blame for what happened. They caused the fall of French monarchy. Not the King. The English nobility for example was smarter, knew how to reform itself, they understood that their aristocratic titles cannot get them very far, they had to make alliances with the bourgeoisie, they had to acknowledge the power of money and not just the power of blood. So they avoided getting their head chopped off basically (not all of them).

It is extremely simplistic and oh so american to think that monarchs have this inherent vice by definition and that any non-feudal system is fundamentally better. It's better in some aspects bro. Some. Current "democracies" are still characterised by a very strict hierarchy and very solid inequalities (capitalism hello), it's just that money has replaced origin. That's cool, it's a progress, but it shouldn't be venerated so much and the old system shouldn't be demonized that much. It depends on what we're talking about in every case. You need to be more specific. Of course you cannot be specific when you want to cherry-pick certain historical examples, misinterpret them and then project them to a fictional story that has absolutely no relation to them.

Elora: Before you get to the castle dungeon, Spyro, I thought you might want to know how Ripto and his monsters arrived in Avalar. You see, last week in the Winter Tundra, the Professor was working on some new Super Portal technology…

This flashback sequence was a very entertaining cutscene. I just love the improvements in the Reignited Trilogy where they had fixed Crush and Gulp both falling atop of Ripto when it was originally just Gulp in the original PS1 despite the following quote, “Get off me! Get off me, you USELESS BUFFOONS!”

Not to mention we also see how the Professor had broken his glasses when Ripto in he remastering and grabbed him by the front of his lab coat while sniffing around for dragons, and then callously shuffled the poor Professor back, thus making him accidentally breaking his glasses.

It’s also funnier when they had Crush bashing his fist on the Super Portal rather than standing cluelessly in front of it while figuring out what he had to do. Yeah, nice going ordering him to go back home to pack your bags when deciding to move in, Ripto. 😒

I also love how they had made each fairy in the cutscene much more different in the remaster rather than making them each a recolour of Zoe’s character model like in the original game. While it was funny how Ripto was clinging onto one of the Orbs while the fairy comically carries him off through the gateway leading outside of the castle while he was threatening her, it was very commendable of the fairy to be strong to carry both her Orb and Ripto, who was clinging onto it with just one hand into the air in the remake was an impressive feat.

Many kudos to the all the amazing people for putting into a lot of effort in making the cutscenes in the Reignited Trilogy even more expressive and fun for all the fans, including myself. ☺️

16. How did your character react to the way their enemies (like Kia and Zinyak) reminded them of their past failures? Did their accusations bother them?

She's fucking Catholic 🤣

OK not "she's", more "she was raised" but it was funnier phrasing it that way. Point is, she gets extremely guilty when certain things are brought up. Having said that, I think it does depend what they decide to pick at because she has a skewed morality that never truly leaves her.

I feel like there are so many layers to Casey where it's like... it seems like she cares about very little on the surface, and under that is a layer of guilt that can be triggered with the slightest accusation, then under that is a layer that only really cares about the deaths of her friends and any innocent bystanders, and then deep, deep down... I think at first there wasn't anything beneath that. But eventually this deeper level of introspection kicks in that makes her... not so fond of killing anymore and thinks she deserves to be punished for all of it by that point.

I've not really talked about this before but I do think she had a slight breakdown when presented with the kill yourself/rescue Matt options. Not so much because of the choice itself but because of the screens everywhere. Like with the whole not in touch with her emotions thing she'd just kind of held it all together through the earth blowing up and you know how she kind of loses her composure at relatable movies/TV shows? I think that managed to awaken that, but ten times worse because this was the real deal. Another thing that deserves its own post some time, really.

I don't think she paused with the actual decision too long though. She didn't remotely trust Zinyak saying he'd free everyone if she killed herself. If she did... I think whatever part of her chose to climb aboard the fucking nuke 5 years previously might have activated. But she trusts her own dedication to her friends more than anyone else's. Besides, Casey isn't really ever truly suicidal. She doesn't really believe she deserves death. She believes she deserves pain, both emotional and physical.

I do think it was a good job that the choice was between death and Matt. Not for shippy reasons (although... *silenced with duct tape*) or even because she'd made that promise to protect him, because that wasn't the case in the original timeline. But because he was one of the first areas where she felt she'd made a good choice, a step away from the instinct to follow her anger. Then that led into saving Shaundi and Viola rather than go after Killbane, acting selflessly when it came to the nuke, showing some mercy against the Washington gangs, and a general restraint from killing during her Presidency. Like obviously that was by far from the first good decision she made so I don't want to overplay it, but it played out that chain of memories in her head and reminded her that whatever Zinyak was saying, she had changed and grown as a person.

28. What does being a Saint mean to your character? Does that definition ever change for them during the series?

I always try and think about the fact that Casey was so young when she joined the Saints and how that shaped her view of the world. For Casey, being a Saint and friendship are just inexorably linked. Everything she practices across one spreads to the other; loyalty, protection, self-sacrifice.

I don't feel like that stuff ever truly changes, even as the nature of the Saints does as they find fame and so on. At times she does prioritise her own money and power and so on, but she sees that as something the Saints are doing rather than the nature of what they are. I think if she were to truly lose or alienate all her friends, she wouldn't feel like a Saint anymore. Luckily it doesn't ever get to that point.

38. Which restaurants in Stilwater did your character visit a lot? What did they usually order? I mean Freckle Bitch's is too obvious, right? But her favourite burger, her favourite lunch in fact, is honestly The Fist, only with bacon(it's colloquially known and ordered as "The Greased Up Fist"). She's also very partial to a boston creme donut and an iced caramel latte from Apollos too though(she usually grabs some donut holes to take with her too)! Cup'o Java has  better coffee objectively speaking if she's in the mood to chill somewhere for a while but Apollos is quicker and everywhere so she's more likely to grab something there.

Biscuits & Buns is usually her favourite for a proper sit down breakfast, but once a year, when Stacked has all you can eat she's there the entire month.

For dinner, she is rather partial to That Pasta Place, especially their chicken alfredo, but more than anything she frequents The Steakout, which is that restaurant she worked at in the few months between dropping out of high school and joining the Saints. That one manager who was really nice to her and got her moved from waiting tables to dishes (when she realised Casey's struggle with the former and speed with the latter) became the owner, so she tries to support the place whenever possible. They do her off-menu order which is a medium-rare ribeye with fries, broccoli and a TON of macaroni and cheese.

She insists on paying no matter how big the Saints get but after the bill is paid, there's always a little white polystyrene box brought out for the boss to take home, with "For *****" written on the box, since you know the owner is one of those people who knew her so long ago she actually knows her name. Inside, just like there every time that manager handed her an identical box at the end of every shift they worked together, is a piece of lemon meringue pie.

Side chick - Mason Mount

"So, now that I'm on TikTok, and since everyone has been asking to see more of my girlfriend, Y/N, let's start a prank war! Send me your suggestions!" Mason said, talking into his camera, filming an Instagram story. He had already blocked Y/N from seeing it and was raring to get filming his first prank.

"Lyric prank? No, too 2015. Fake cupcake prank? I'm not that mean. Walk into the room naked? That will end up not being PG," Mason says, scrolling through all the prank ideas.

"Facetime prank?" Mason hums, finally finding a suggestion he likes the sound of. He knows Y/N is the jealous type and her reaction to other girls flirting with him is always either cute or hot. So, it was decided, facetime prank it is.

The phone was set up behind a lamp, the record button pressed, the starting timer giving Mason just enough to time to get ready. He was sat on his and Y/N's shared bed in the England camp, eagerly awaiting his girlfriend's reaction. Mason's phone started to 'ring' next to him as he rushed to pick the facetime call up.

"Hey, baby. Is your girlfriend still there or can I come 'round?" The pre-generated voice says, loud enough for Y/N to hear it from the en-suite bathroom. Mason almost breaks character as he sees Y/n's head pop around the bathroom doorframe.

"Excuse me? What the fuck was that?" she asks, voice getting high-pitched.

"Nothing, baby, I promise," Mason assures, opening his arms to welcome Y/N in for a hug. She cautiously approaches him, but upon getting closer, she throws himself into his arms. He grunts at the impact before smiling down at her.

"If that's some side chick of yours, can I talk to her,"

"Why? And why would I have a side chick?"

"Well, I just want to warn her off before she's in too deep," Y/N smirks.

Mason projected the TikTok up onto a screen in one of the rooms in the England Camp, wanting to get his teammates reactions to the video. And watching it back was even funnier than when the pranked was originally played. Mason had pulled his body into Ben's by his T-shirt in a fit of laughter.

Well, it was safe to say that that TikTok blew up, just as the prank had blown up in Mason's own face. The comments were filled with laughing emojis and talk of how funny the initial reaction had been from Y/N.

Voiceplay Visuals: We Don't Talk About Bruno

("You're gonna show/talk about That Moment, right?" Yes of course I will be showing/talking about That Moment; who do you take me for? 😝)

This video was uploaded on the 26th of February, 2022, it features Ashley Diane (in her second full-length collaboration with Voiceplay), and it is of course a cover of the ridiculously-popular song We Don't Talk About Bruno, from the very-popular Disney movie Encanto (which I have seen 2 or 3 times, including in cinemas, but I'm also very familiar with the movie soundtrack, because it's amazing). To cover such a popular song (let alone acapella-style) can be a challenging task, because obviously there'll be a lot of people who'll already know the original song quite well and who will be prepared to make comparisons, but this is Voiceplay we're talking about! They're not called "the theatre kids of acapella" for nothing, and Disney covers is one of the things they do best (and the video currently sits at a very impressive 5.6 million views on Youtube! (EDIT: as of the 13th of March, it's now 5.7 million!))

So of course I have a lot to talk about with this one, so let's get into it!

Layne was in charge of the video, arrangement, and direction for this one, and he and Tony worked together on set design and costuming. Needless to say, Layne and Tony did an amazing job (and yes, this was of course filmed at Pattycake Productions Studio, which Layne and Tony own and run together)

As for the costuming/characters: Cesar is playing Felix (is it perfect casting, or is Cesar just amazing at slipping into basically any role he's given? You decide), Ashley plays triple roles of Pepa, Isabela, and Mirabel, Eli is maybe Agustin (Agustin doesn't have a lead singing part in the song but the outfit is close enough), Layne is Dolores, and Geoff is either Camilo, Bruno, or both (Camilo pretending to be Bruno perhaps, like in the original scene in the movie?)

If we don't count Jingle Bell Rock (where Eli was wearing glasses while dressed as "Sandy Claws", then I'm fairly certain this is the last/most recent time that Eli has actually worn glasses for a Voiceplay video? And perhaps the only time he's worn them since growing out his facial hair.

Also I'm pretty sure I heard from someone that Geoff's "ruana" (google it) is in fact just a regular blanket/piece of fabric draped (possibly secured/pinned) over his shoulders (it's kind of a Look though ngl)

Not even 30 seconds in and I already stumbled upon a way-funnier-than-expected screencap 🤣

Basically, Cesar 100% understood the assignment as Felix, totally hammed it up, and it's highly entertaining 😁

(Also I swear Geoff did a very miniscule eyeroll here? Amazing, love him)

I know I'm not meant to be talking about vocals in these posts (per my own rules), but I have to give a big shoutout to Layne, who freaking killed it with Dolores's solo part, and it's always so lovely to hear him actually getting a vocal part in a song, as amazing as he is at vocal percussion 💜

Cesar continuing to do The Most (affectionate), and also it's kinda sweet how Geoff is looking at Layne here imo <3 (and also it kinda fits with how the characters they're playing, Camilo (probably) and Dolores are siblings!)

"Grappling with prophecies they couldn't understand." "Do you understand?"

(If you're rewatching a Voiceplay video, try shifting your focus to someone other than whoever you typically focus on for a certain part of the song! It will probably be worth it!)

Trust Geoff to get a dark/spooky section of the song! Voiceplay is nothing if not consistent 😝 (well, sometimes, in regards to some things 😂)

I was trying to get a good screencap of Cesar and Ashley on the "we! don't! talk about Bruno!" line, but eh, couldn't get a decent one.

(Oh btw obligatory kudos to Eli for lighting design!)

Also pay attention to Geoff during this line (before it cuts to a closeup of Ashley) - I love his little shoulder shimmy to the more-uptempo beat!)

(Rip Eli, but there was no way anybody else was singing that line - it was practically made for him! 😆) (Also love Ashley touching his head in comfort/sympathy 😄)

(Yes yes of course Ashley is very pretty and I love the petals and the slow-mo on her, now CUE!)

"He told me that my power would grow, like the grapes that thrive on the viiiine"

Yep, that still continues to be up there as one of the most bonkers-ridiculous moments in a Voiceplay video ever. 🤣 (Also if it weren't hilarious enough, check out Ashley's Offended(tm) face in the first and second pictures above, and Layne's Extremely Concerned face in the second picture! ("uhh, Geoff. something you wanna tell me, dude?"))

I'm a little fuzzy on specifics, but apparently the idea for this moment came about when Voiceplay was acquiring clothing for everyone, and Ashley's outfit arrived in two different sizes (just in case one might fit better than the other). Turns out one of the copies of the outfit was a perfect fit for Geoff, and one thing led to another, and we ended up with Aspiring Disney Princess Geoff that you see in the images above 😄😋)

(When I said "don't just get you a man who can do both, get yourself a man that can do everything" back in my Frozen 2 Medley post, I meant it!!!)

(Oh and this section really was slowed down in post-production in order to make the petals (and hair flips!) look nice, and so both Ashley and Geoff were having to sing/lip-sync to sped up versions of their vocal lines!)

I somehow didn't pick up on this till a commenter pointed it out, but Layne copies Geoff's "spooky finger wiggles" movement! It's got Younger Sibling vibes ngl (though Dolores is actually older than Camillo iirc, and I'm an only child anyway so idk)

Ashley and Cesar were both great in this video, really seemed to play off each other quite a bit!

Man, what a video. Amazing to watch, and also a really great to watch other people react to, for multiple reasons! 😁

There's not much for me to say that I haven't already said about Voiceplay before, but I will say that if you liked this one, go watch their Mini for Surface Pressure if you haven't already! It was filmed during the same shoot as this one (same set, same clothes), and uploaded a few days prior. It's only a short video, sure, but it's still very much worth a watch.

Idk why so many people call Zach a cinnamon bun or whatever Jeff Atkins is the only cinnamon bun Zach Dempsey is not a sweet guy he thinks he’s better than everyone like he’s a saint, I’ve never been a fan of Zach remember what he said to Charlie about Monty? “You’re really gonna take advice from someone who buys their clothes at Target” something like that… I absolutely hated him after I heard that as childish as that sounds 🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean that is a disgusting comment to make he sounded like an absolute brat not everyone can afford to wear freakin’ Adidas every single day and drive a flashy car I mean wtf ??!!! Sorry obviously I still get riled up when I think about it lol 🙈 but I’m sensitive about Monty ☺️❤️

I don't mean to offend Zach fans and even though as much I like him and Alex, I have to agree with you, anon. I kind of feel the same way about Zach. Like he acts as if he hasn't done anything that's off for me. I don't mean to like *insert* my fic, but I kinda write Zach this way like acting all leader/know it all. lol just cause he gives such vibes in the show (but in somewhat a kinder way which still can throw one off). 🙈 But I don't hate him, more of indifference. (thanks to his scenes with Alex, gives me some care about him) sksjjshdjs BUT the one that really throws me off about him is at season 4, where he and Alex keeps smashing windows and stuff at school. Like, he asked Alex something like this "Why are you here with me? You should be with Charlie?" Like DUDE, are you dense? Alex cares about you more than he does for Charlie. That whole scene was completely OFF! And Alex is just "okay." and he runs away easily to Charlie. I love ChaLex but it just seem like Alex can't make a choice of his own. Or maybe that's just what happens when the person you like says something, and you're just foolish to follow. idk! I never understood that scene. ¯\_ʘ‿ʘ_/¯ Or maybe Alex is like "yeah, Charlie is way better than you." then runs away. Also, if I'm Alex in that scene, and then Zach tells that to me after we smashed things, I'd be like "what's the connection about me accompanying you to do this sh*tty thing with how I feel about Charlie?" sorry, that's just my take on and I know we all have different POVs about this.

Anyway, I remember that scene where Zach says that about Monty. Again, apologies, but I kinda find that scene funny. cause it's so SAVAGE! but I get you, Zach should know Monty doesn't live the same life as him. And WHAT'S MAKES THAT SCENE FUNNIER is that's where Monty says the line about Alex being a Homo and whatever after Alex points a knife at him, and then Zach jumps in telling Charlie not to believe him (the stuff he said about Alex) and I admit, what Monty said there is pretty offensive aside from his assumption (or his gaydar telling him) of Alex being a homo! BUT GUESS WHAT HAPPENED, ZACH? ALEX kissed you! 🤣🤣🤣 So, I guess you should've listened to Monty's Walmart sense. I think he says Walmart, not Target? idk. That's what he said in English.

Although, anyway, we don't mean to make a war between Monty and Zach cause most people will say that Monty (which we all know) is obviously wayyyy worse than Zachy! And sure, I have to agree. But each characters in 13 reason why were given some flaws, which I actually like cause it makes each of them more real and human. We all have flaws and we sometimes or mostly becomes unaware of how we act towards people too that maybe throws some people off about us, and only because that's just who we are.

Yes anon, we all have to agree that Jeff Atkins is the only cinnamon bun, but I guess if he wasn't killed off way too early, which is maybe what happened originally in the book, Jeff would do something disappointing too, cause that's just how writers in the series does it: "Let's do each of them dirtyyyy!!!! AND YES KILL THEM OFF after they show redemption!" which gives me love-hate relationship about this damned show! ತ_ʖತ
