for no apparent reason, steps away from sleep, my brain hit me with a ‘hey, remember that fantasy world you started building years ago and then did nothing with? you remember that???’

partially? bits and pieces. because i don’t write things down. why are you bringing it up now, brain?

#though ‘building’ is a very generous term #it started with your bog standard d&d style fantasy conventions #because i am horrendously unoriginal #and then i did things that made me lol #like….idk. is it even worth talking about it?#maybe i should. just to have the info somewhere?#i even started writing an interactive fiction game set in the world lol #years ago….#i might still have it somewhere #but like. for example. pirates have no need to be sea faring #because the sea has dried up (a lil jokey joke on part of the bbeg)#(i dont think i ever thought about whether the sea drying up would affect the climate. i think i just handwaved it with ~magic~ lol)#there *is* a lake they call an ocean that’s big enough for pirates to sail and stuff #but the majority of the pirates make their money like…illegally recording famous bard performances #and by illegally copying tomes and things #like. p….pirating… music…#that was the ‘strength’ class in the lil game i was making because #it’s still a dangerous profession. and they still do normal pirating stuff just…not so much on the sea #and the ‘magician’ class was actually your rogue class #it’s a bit convoluted but the whole gag behind the magician class can be traced back to GOB from arrested development #and the player magician would’ve been kicked from the guild of magician for (allegedly) revealing guild secrets #stupid shit like that #idk #to the void with love
