#the tags are so good and articulate better than I could so here they are#prev ->#Jake never had to he his father. but he was his Olo'ekytan. his chief.#he was supposed fo be his protector. to take care of him. to lead and guide him.#and he failed.#it was his duty. he life's purpose as an Olo'ekytan. to protect his most vulnerable.#and he didn't. he failed. again and again. he let Spider get hurt again and again and again.#he let him be neglected. he tried to abandon him again and again. until he actually got to do so.#he let him be a stray#and I have a lot of feelings about Jake as Olo'ekytan and how good of one he was. and they're not positive thoughts#I think in the moments it truly mattered.
