#it's one in the morning#anyways time for some FUN FACTS THAT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH:#the han river is approximately half a mile wide and 8 feet deep#after massive and rapid industrialization it became very polluted but thanks to a clean-up effort that began in 1982 prior to the 1988 Seoul#— olympics it is now home to many fishes and waterfowl#it used to freeze over regularly in winter to a depth of 30-50 cm for an average of 80 days but due to climate change this is much rarer#and much thinner ice at a depth of 5-10 cm for ~14 days with 2021 being the first freeze in 2 years#meanwhile the congo is the deepest river in the world at ~720 feet; a depth that light cannot penetrate#the deepest river in the U.S. is the hudson river at a grand 202-ish feet while the chicago river's deepest point clocks around 85 feet#a boat only requires about 3 feet to float functionally in a body of water#a motorized yacht can use 1-4 ft#cruise ships tend to need a depth of 25-50 feet while smaller cargo ships only need 20 and larger cargo ships need 30+#is ANY of this information going to help me draw hundreds of pebbles??? no!!#is it going to help me draw shoulders and torsos and arms??#also no#Cheese's personal molasses#(disclaimer: I may have misread some figures while speed reading so take all of this with a grain of salt)#(this is more to emphasize the allure of rabbit holes when you're meant ot be doing something else)
