I just want to have a conversation with someone who's old enough to have seen his films. I just bet that Nick Valentine has opinions. I bet some of the Big MT brains were fans. Some of the Underworld ghouls might still have holo-videos tucked away. Dean Domino absolutely must have known him at one point if Vera Keyes was in one of Cooper's films. Yandere! Tails Nine Concept

Pairing: Platonic/Romantic

Honestly, those who have seen Season 3 of Sonic Prime already know that Nine is capable of some... yandere tendencies in canon?

For most of his life he's been isolated as his universe didn't have a Sonic.

He was bullied, an outcast, which made him bitter and cynical.

He usually avoids physical contact and can come off as aggressive towards others.

He's selfish, but gradually opens up once he has friends.

He has some empathy and is brave, but he can be sadistic and smug.

He wants to be listened to, if his obsessions listens to him then he quickly becomes attached.

I like to imagine that you met Nine with Sonic.

But it honestly doesn't matter as for this general concept I plan on just focusing on behavior unlike the last one.

Nine, despite being similar to Tails, is not the same behavior-wise.

He's more isolated, selfish, and volatile than normal Tails.

Especially during Season 3.

In fact, that whole create a new world together thing?

He'd definitely drag you into it at the peak of his obsession.

Nine seems like he'd have a moderate obsession growth.

At first he's slow because he doesn't really trust others due to his past.

He has trouble putting full trust in someone, including his obsession at first.

He's scared to get attached and too close with someone.

However, over time as you show he can trust you by trying to be his friend, he begins to open up more.

It seems like his obsession would start slow, but then increase the longer he knows you.

That and I imagine he gets more unhinged as time goes on.

When Nine trusts you, he imagines a similar fantasy as he had with Sonic in the show.

He wants to make a new world, away from everyone, where you two can be happy.

He wants to include Sonic in that plan too, but that changes the moment Sonic wants to bring back Green Hill instead.

Nine is delusional, even when Sonic betrays his trust... he makes sure you don't so he can keep you with him in his new world.

While he isn't too similar to Tails, he would still put trackers on your and use robots to hunt you down.

Not like you can escape The Grim on your own, you'd need someone like Sonic to help you.

Nine won't let you near such a traitor.

Nine rarely even take his eyes off you.

Even if you did somehow leave, he has trackers on you.

A bot of his will just come and pick you up again.

Punishment is most likely something like restraining you in a cage or something, he doesn't want to hurt you physically.

Others, however? Well... that's fair game.

He normally isn't one for physical affection, but the longer he knows you... you become the one exception even if he is awkward at first.

Nine wouldn't hesitate to eliminate anyone who dares try to take you away from The Grim.

He's trying his best to make this all to your liking, he isn't going to have others ruin this.

So, yeah... unlike Tails, Nine is fine with committing murder if it comes to it.

Anything to keep you, his only companion now.

Even Sonic, the traitor, will pay for trying to take you away and his betrayal.

Don't cry if that's what it comes to... you're in a much better place with Nine now.

Nine is clingy as he doesn't want to lose his only loved one.

He does everything he can to appease you and make you stay/love him.

Although there's times he gets frustrated and lashes out.

He usually apologizes right after.

In his eyes, he knows you two can be happy with one another if he can just stabilize the Prism.

You may be unhappy... which makes him feel guilty... but he tries to ignore such weak feelings.

You will learn to be happy with him here, you don't need Sonic.

He hates it when you squirm in his hugs or fight with him.

But he's slowly teaching himself to be patient.

Eventually you'll break and learn he can make you happy...

Even if he has to force things a bit using the Prism... he'll have you for himself eventually.

"You are not going to leave me for Sonic, I can make you HAPPY! You're staying right here in The Grim... like it or not!"

I would recommend reading this interaction beforehand, as that previous post leads into Rollo first meeting Ortho and gives more context for how these headcanons start off.

A Big Ignihyde Welcome to Rollo!

Unlike the other dorm leaders thus far, Idia has yet to extend Rollo an invitation to Ignihyde. It leaves Rollo with no choice but to confront the boy himself. (The sooner he gets these courtesy calls over with, the sooner he can be on his way out of this hellhole.)

Tracking Idia down proves to be a more difficult task than Rollo initially thought it would be. Idia’s rarely seen in public, nor does he allow others into his room. On those few occasions where Rollo makes a beeline for his floating tablet, Idia automatically mutes him and directs the tablet to retreat!!

It’s only through a chance encounter with Ortho that Rollo learns of loopholes in Idia’s schedule: he’s always physically present on exam days and Board Game Club meetings. This leads to Rollo insisting that he will join Ortho to “pick up” his brother from that day’s meeting. His real goal? To chew Idia out for all the trouble he has caused both him and his innocent little brother!

When Rollo shows up at the Board Game Club’s base, Idia stands up so abruptly that he sends a board and its pieces scattering across the floor. Thrusting a pale, shaking finger at the doorway, he manages to stutter out, "R-R-ROLLO-SHI?!?! Wh-What are you doing here?!"

"He told me he was looking forward to speaking with you, Nii-san! I brought him with me so you two could spend some quality time together," Ortho reports cheerily. He glances at their guest with a smile. "Hehe, so that’s your name?"

Their guest stiffens for a second--and Idia braces himself, expecting a tirade--but to his shock, Rollo instead gives a small smile. "That is correct. As you can see, your brother and I are already... acquainted with one another." Idia's eyes bulge, his jaw dropping. "Wh-Who are you and what have you done with the real Rollo-shi?! He’s way too introverted and rage-filled to want to associate with…”

Before Idia can finish his statement, Rollo yanks him (“Excuse us,” to Ortho) into an isolated corner of the emptying classroom. With a harsh glare, he launches into a lecture about “how dare he leave his brother unsupervised” and “isn’t he aware of the sorts of hooligans that run rampant around campus” and “what if he were to be hurt due to your negligence”.

Idia shrinks further and further into himself as Rollo'a anger builds. He passes a helpless look at Ortho in the doorway, who just smiles and waves back. W-Why is Ortho endorsing this?! Idia's gaze flickers back to Rollo, whose face is contorting as he continues to chide him. Ortho, Rollo, Ortho, Rollo...

A realization sinks in, and a grin slowly forms on Idia's mouth. His confidence returns to him. “Hihihihi! I get it now. You’re big mad and flying off the handle 'cuz you can with me. You can't do the same with Ortho. You don't want to show this side of yourself to him. That's it, isn't it? He reminds you of..."

Rollo's eyes are dark and filled with a silent sorrow. It mixes with his anger, creating a far deadlier concoction. "You have no right to speak of him!!" he hisses.

"Heh. I'm right," Idia says smugly. "... Don't blow a fuse. I don't care about your family affairs or your past or whatever. Just don't butt into mine. And if this is about doxxing you to Ortho, I haven't." Rollo's eyes narrow in skepticism. "LMAO, not for your sake," Idia clarifies, jerking his chin at Ortho. "For his. He'd never stop worrying about me if I dropped the bomb about your inner chunnibyou.”

"You're lucky you even still have a brother to…" Rollo's words catch in his throat, and he forces them back down. "You have no clue how lucky you truly are, Shroud-kun."

"Weird, cuz I don't feel very lucky with you breathing down my neck. What'd I do to earn your ire, huh?"

“Stop!” Ortho declares, suddenly popping up between the two older boys. He glances eagerly between Idia and Rollo. “Did you two have fun catching up? We should head back to Ignihyde to hang-out now~"

"Huh?!" The third years are not happy with this arrangement—but with Ortho grinning at them like that, shooting off all kinds of ideas for what they can do together, neither of them can say "no" either.

Entering Ignihyde, Rollo is automatically put off by the cold, sterile environment of it. Lights and screens blip everywhere, everything is straight and geometric, metal and circuits. They’ve embraced the technology of the modern era, he laments. No respect for tradition whatsoever.

They stop by Ortho’s room first upon his insistence (he wanted to pick up a game or two to bring along to his big bro’s place!). The young boy flings the doors open, revealing pristine living quarters. Rollo is very impressed, even going so far as to give Ortho a stiff pat on the head for his efforts at staying meticulous.

E-Eh? I’m not dreaming this, am I? Idia’s heads practically bulge out of his skull. Rollo-shi seriously smiled and showed some sort of affection to someone else?! What’s with this absurd gap moe? C-Could it be that… n-not even Rollo-shi can withstand Ortho’s cutness…? W2G Ortho!! Your power levels are unrivaled!!!

Out of the corner of his eye, Rollo spots a few wooden figurines lined up on a shelf. There’s no mistaking it; those are the souvenirs Idia brought back for Ortho from the City of Flowers. For some reason, seeing them makes his heart palpitate uncomfortably.

Even stranger, there are odd tubes and wires in plain sight. Rollo wonders what they’re for—and his thoughts go to Ortho and his strangely metallic body, the lights on him that flash. His strange way of talking, the inhuman nature of him. Why does he appear this way? Rollo wants to know, but he thinks it rude to ask directly of the boy, so he has to default to pouncing in a moment alone with Idia.

Ortho retrieves a copy of the game he wanted (though he hides it from Rollo’s view). Off to Idia’s room they go!! (Idia nervously bites his nails at the prospect of allowing Rollo inside his mancave; Rollo snippily reminds Idia to trim his nails like a normal person would.)

Idia nervously pushes the door to his room open (every second of it seems to drag on, only prolonging his suffering). Rollo stares at what unfolds before him: cardboard boxes with games spilling out, an unmade bed, books and cables littering the floor… His expression crumples as if to say, Damn, bitch. You live like this? but Rollo (generously) only presses his mouth into a thin line.

He instantly tries to go about cleaning Idia’s mess (while simultaneously chewing him out for it). Idia trails after Rollo while wailing about the disruption of his “organized chaos”. (“Noooo, not my mint condition signed copy of the Sled Over Heels manga anthology!!” and, “Don’t touch that!! It’s a super exclusive one-of-a-kind Premo! T-shirt I pulled in a lotto…!”)

Rollo finds a pair of headphones with… cat ears… on them. “What is the purpose of this?” he asks of Idia, who looks absolutely mortified. (“I-It’s for the kawaii aesthetic! You wouldn’t get it…” ) “I don’t see the point of it. Felines are vermin all the same.”

Well, that sets Idia off. They get into an argument about the pros and cons of cats

Idia rushes to grab his most obscene materials snd hurriedly shoves them under his bed. Rollo obviously notices, but makes no effort to tear them away from Idia (in case poor Ortho is exposed to a glimpse of those lascivious materials). Instead he settles for chastising Idia again for his “impure” tastes.

Once everything has been (sort of) tidied up, Idia is nudged to offer their guest food! … But all that’s available are candies, Doritos chips, Mountain Dew soda, and energy drinks. (There’s also instant ramen, but they’d have to boil water for it.) Rollo wrinkles his nose and starts to criticize Idia’s diet. “L-Like yours is any better!” Idia retorts. “All you do is inhale croissants and grapes like a madman! That’s hardly a balanced build!”

Rollo sits by kneeling on the floor, which makes Idia’s skin crawl. “It feels like you’re going to start praying for the power of God and anime to be on your side,” he grumbles.

They attempt to play various card and tabletop games, with Ortho as their audience (if he were to play, he says, it would be unfair to them both). As Idia keeps sweeping Rollo and (loudly) gloating about his wins, the tension in the room builds. Rollo doesn’t care about wins or losses, but Idia’s attitude is most certainly rubbing him the wrong way. Ortho cheers both of them on regardless!

Ortho pulls put the game he had retrieved from his room: it’s a copy of Star Rogue! “It’s a classic. Nii-san and I used to play it all the time. I think you’ll like it too.” He pops it in and hands the controller to Rollo, then the other to his brother. Enter the second round of Rollo being obliterated 💀

… Rollo begrudgingly finds that it feels therapeutic to button mash to shoot down the final boss. (He pictures it as his mortal enemy, Malleus Draconia, and relishes in its fiery end as the boss disappears into a starry void.)

When the games become old, Ortho suggests a movie! He happily shares about his experiences in the Film Research Club—how he provided the special effects for their last production, and how he played the part of the villain in the one before that. It’s been a great help with understanding the full scope of human emotion, so maybe watching a film together can help them all come together as friends!

There’s a bit of squabbling over what they’ll watch. Idia wants to check out the live action adaptation of Two Piece, a swashbuckling high-seas adventure based on a popular manga series—and if Rollo has to choose something to watch with Idia, it would be a documentary to hopefully instill some sense of culture in the heathen.

In the end, they let Ortho make the decision (since it’s clear they can’t agree to anything). He picks out a horror movie—because, according to him, his data says that humans easily confuse high adrenaline feelings with like fear and intimacy! It’s the most effective way to get his big bro and Rollo to be besties!

Idia tries to enjoy the movie but it keeps being undercut every five minutes with Rollo griping about how “unrealistic” certain details are or complaining about how they probably used magic (ick) to achieve some special effects. “You’re ruining the suspension of disbelief!!” Idia hisses at him.

Whenever there’s a terrifying moment, Idia has a habit of screaming and clinging to whatever’s closest to him. That, unfortunately, is Rollo today. He tries to counter by shoving Idia off, but the nerd’s grip is surprisingly iron clad when reinforced by fear.

When the movie is over with, Ortho excitedly asks what their thoughts on it were. (He loves leading the film analysis talks in Film Research Club!) Idia starts to mumble something, but Rollo speaks over him to express that he thinks it was “an affront to nature” for the mad scientist in the movie to have robbed graves to reanimate his son. “He just couldn’t let the dead rest in peace, could he…? No, he went and selfishly desecrated the memories of a boy long since passed. How despicable!!”

Idia falls suspiciously silent at the comment. “… M-Maybe… he just really missed him,” Idia tries. “and that’s the scientist’s way of grieving and coping with the circumstances. He did what he could to bring his son back.”

“He trifled with something he could not understand. A man so arrogant as to play God,” Rollo spat. “His son is dead. Gone forever. To attempt to revive him, to try and turn back the clock…! It is utterly futile, and it has resulted in an abomination walking upon the earth, trapped between life and death with no end in sight!”

“Th-That’s not…! Who are YOU to act all high and mighty? Missing a loved one so much you’d do anything in your power to bring them back… I-It’s no different than pulling some end-of-the-world level bullcrap in their name!”

“EXCUSE ME?! You take back those words this instant!!” (“Make me!!”) Both boys are shouting now, each fiercely defending their own stance. Neither of them even pay attention to Ortho, who’s trying desperately to calm them both down. Their feelings are far too hot, too frenzied.

Rollo has never seen Idia show this much gall—not since that night atop the bell tower, not since Idia had spouted off all those accusations, lamenting that they were one and the same. It’s almost as though…

“Say whatever you want about me, but leave Ortho out of this!!”

At Idia’s exclamation, everything clicks into place. A deceased younger brother, the sorrow Idia had shed, the claim of their similarities, Ortho’s robotic form… Oh, god. Horror seizes Rollo’s heart, and he feels sick to his stomach. “You…!! What have you done…?”

Hot anger erupts like a plume of lava. Rollo, shaking like a madman and his expression grave, clutches onto Idia’s shoulders and vigorously shakes him. If looks could kill, Idia would already be a corpse by now. He’s frozen with fear and terror, unable to so much as summon any magic to fend Rollo off. The other boy is shouting in his face, spit flecking Idia. “What have you done, Shroud-kun?!”

BZZZT!! A strange sound suddenly fires off, and the air is warm and filled with the smell of smoke. Rollo and Idia slowly turn their heads—there’s Ortho, looking none too pleased. In the wall just a little above both third years’ heads is a hole, courtesy of a certain robot’s laser beam.

“… That was a warning shot,” Ortho says, glaring intensely at their guest. The scornful look breaks Rollo’s heart—the look of a betrayed brother. The accusatory words Idia uttered to him on that fateful night resound like haunting bells in his kind: “Do you think your brother would want this? Do you think he would be happy knowing you’ve done all of this in his name?”

Rollo releases Idia, who scrambles over to his younger sibling with a squeak of relief. “O-Ortho, you’re my savior!!” he happily sobs. But the robot isn’t looking at Idia.

“Rollo Flamme-san,” Ortho says in a resolute tone, “I definitely won’t forgive you if you hurt my brother!”

“Your brother?” Rollo can’t help but scoff. “That man? Don’t make me laugh. He’s nothing of the sort. He is a usurper, having dredged you up from the Underworld and stuffed your soul into an unrecognizable body…!!”

“He is my brother, and I’m his brother. We know each other. We care for each other. That’s enough for us.” Rollo’s brow furrows at the response given to him, spoken as if it were so easily the truth. His will cracks, his shoulders slump. Again, he has lost to a NRC student. Again, he’s defeated. Again, he has nothing left.

A new heat rises up, this time to his eyes. He hangs his head, furiously swiping away at his traitorous sockets. How dare they—how dare they decide to have a moment of weakness now! “Rollo-shi…” Idia awkwardly starts, but Rollo snaps at him. “Shut up, shut up! I don’t want your pity!!” (Idia was actually going to say something trolly and insensitive, so maybe it was for the best that he didn’t continue.)

An uncomfortable silence falls upon the room. Silent tears dribble down Rollo’s face. He wipes them away, but new leaks spring up to replace them. So many emotions be has repressed are coming out in full force. He’s lost control of himself, bringing on a new wave of shame.

Rollo composes himself as best he can (which isn’t a lot) and forces out something resembling calm. “… I will see myself out now. I apologize for exposing you to my unseemly display.” He isn’t even able to take a single step before he is stopped.

“Rollo Flamme-san!” Ortho calls out. Rollo looks back at the boy who is no longer mad. “I think… I understand what you must be feeling. You’re scared and angry and full of guilt. I know because nii-san and I have felt the same before. We wanted to tear the world down and rebuild it into a new, shiny utopia. That was your dream too, wasn’t it? For us, a world where we can be heroes. For you, a world where you and your brother can be at peace. Grief can drive mourners to do unbelievable things. That’s why I exist—and that’s why it’s not too late for you to restart. I think your brother would agree with me.”

Rollo looks entirely taken aback by the young boy’s speech. Even Idia is flabbergasted by what he’s saying. “O-Ortho?! What are you saying… How do you know about all of that?!”

“Huh? I didn’t tell you? I heard about it from Deuce Spade-san, Epel Felmier-san, and Sebek Zigvolt-san!” (Of course it was from the blabbermouth first year normies! Idia cringes.) As it turns out, Ortho knew all along but made the conscious choice to not let on until now.

“But then why keep up the charade?” Rollo demands, confused. To that, Ortho replies, “I thought it would be more difficult to forgive and to give you a second chance if that information was at the forefront of my memory banks.”

“Second chance…? You would grant that to a person who has knowingly attempted to backstab your beloved brother multiple times? Feh, you’re naive, Ortho-kun. Far too naive. Your ‘brother’ should have built you with more skepticism in your programming. Some nasty misfit might come along and commit an atrocity right under your nose, then take advantage of your innocence to get away with the crime.”

The boy shakes his head. “… That’s not true. I’ve run the numbers. There is a non-zero chance that you can change, Rollo Flamme-san. Nii-san could turn his 0.01% to 100%. He returned from the brink of despair. I know you could too.”

Ortho’s words strike him. It’s as though Rollo himself is the body of a great bell, and Ortho, the clapper rattling against him, producing a great, full-bodied sound resonating within him. Hope chases away the darkness clouding his heart, drying his tears.

Idia, Rollo realizes, truly is very lucky to have someone like Ortho by his side. Rollo lets out a bitter chuckle. “… Hmph, what childish, comforting sentiments. It must be nice to see the world in such a way.”

He feels like he should be mad. He wants to be mad. But he can’t be, not at Ortho. Ortho, who now looks at Rollo with such sad eyes, so big and shiny they almost seem wet with tears—how can a robot have such a heart, such a very human soul?

“Shroud-kun!!” Rollo barks, making Idia jump. “You had better appreciate and cherish him. Do you understand me? The instant I catch wind of you mistreating Ortho-kun… There will be dire consequences in store for you.”

“H-Huh?! Where’s this protectiveness for Ortho suddenly coming from?! He’s MY little brother, so back off! Find your own party members!!”

“It only makes sense to remove a child in a toxic environment and replace them in a far better one. I’ve witnessed the perverse content and entertainment you consume. It’s no sort of example to be setting for the youth.”

“Dude, are you seriously shaming me for my interests? I won’t stand for it!! Hell hath no wrath like an otaku scorned! I’m so gonna defend my waifus to the bitter end!!”

“Hehe!l Ortho giggles to himself. “It looks like Rollo Flamme-san and nii-san are getting along after all.”

I noticed almost all of our feral! Readers are based on predator animals. Bats, cats, and bears (oh my), so why not a Reader who's a prey animal?

Like Goat! Reader.

They got those classic faun style bottom half with hooves, fur, and tail, rectangle pupils that are just a bit unnerving, and even little curling horns coming out of their head!

They eat like a goat, too. They got a preference for greens, grains, and goat milk based dairy, but they'll eat just about anything. This includes things that aren't food like cans, much to everyone's concern.

Their mutation is a good bit easier to hide than Kurt's without an image-inducer. Beanie for the horns, glasses, or contacts for the eyes, and big baggy pants for their legs and hooves. They went as Mr.Tummus one year for Halloween, and the English lit teacher gave them extra credit for their "exceptionally crafted literature inspired costume." (They just wore a red scarf.)

Reader ain't no slouch in the physical department just cause they are prey either. They run just as fast as the other ferals, and those horns aren't just for show! They got a headbutt that can break bones and a tackle that can knock Piotr off his feet. The school's football couch has been hounding them to join since they knocked Duncan on his back during PE back in freshman year.

Like all goats, their horns fall off in the winter and regrow in the spring. It's considered a right of passage in the mansion for someone new to freak out their first winter cause Reader came into the kitchen with blood trickling down their forehead and their horns gone. Don't worry, Hank bandages them up every year. Logan hangs up their old horns in a hallway like trophies. Visitors think he's into hunting or something, but no, he's just keeping track of his kid's growth.

Their tongue is extra long too! So sometimes they just let it flop out of the side of their mouth . The yans think this is adorable and take pictures whenever they can.

They can walk on any wall that isn't a perfect 90 degrees, which looks really weird from an outside perspective.

Their hooves and horns need a little extra care. Conditioning and polishing and cleaning. So the yans are sooo nice to help them with all that! Hope they aren't too much trouble, they would hate to be a bother.

On occasion, they bleat just like a goat. It happens mostly when they r asleep or if you startle them. Scaring them isn't recommended to hear it, however, cause their legs lock up afterwards and they fall over. Kurt has done this hundreds of times and feels awful each time.

They still got instincts like the other ferals. They'll huddle together for warmth, rub their scent in everything, and make a "nest" in their room. The more prey ones are a natural aversion to danger. If they aren't on a mission, they are running away from the scary stuff. They are on constant high alert, an ear always open for potential threats.

Obviously, their favorite game is Goat Simulator.

Their horns are curled and have weight to them, and they can ram someone down or stomp stomp with their hooves, they can even scale brick walls, rock walls, or any surface that isn't 90 degrees! They can eat almost anything (except Kitty's cooking, that didn't pass over well). They can charge and run fast, they can pull a lot of weight, and they're cute and awesome to boot!

They bleat in their sleep, when they're scared, and when they're happy! All of the yans want to hear it, and do everything they can to do so. If someone scares Reader at school or tries to bully them, the teens are all stepping in, especially Kurt, Scott, Todd, amd Evan, who don't like their friend being picked on for anything, and don't want them to get hurt. The teens and adults like helping Reader but their horns and polish them and keep them clean, they don't mind helping Reader with their hooves if a rock or nail gets in them, and Logan hangs their horns up and is very proud of how big they get each season.

Reader is friendly, laid-back, energetic when it comes to food and running around, and they like climbing everything. No one messes with the younger teens, or Reader runs them down. Duncan better step off, or Reader will headbutt him hard enough he sees stars! If the teens need help with cooking, Reader offers assistance. If anyone worries about their appearance, Reader will try to cheer them up.

And yes, Reader was rewarded for their Mr. Tumnus costume (which was just them in a red scarf and carrying a pan flute). No one can really top them when it comes to costumes. Except they always dress as a goat...

(They wear babbgy pants, boots, a beanie with pins or that are colorful, they like sweaters and sweatshirts, and they like wearing bracelets, especially cool or cute ones)

mhin may not like big, loud festivals, but i think they'd enjoy celebrating things with you alone ^^ maybe eating their favourite dish (tang yuan?)....it'd mean a lot to have someone to share with again

also!! having it for the first time and them mentioning their family and the last time they had it with people... the intimacy of it all...

mhin's wary and off-put by being spoiled, but if you're stubborn enough, you'll find them using whatever you got pretty regularly. for example they'll tell you they don't Need a new softer comfier blanket, theirs is Fine, but then the one you buy is the only one they ever want to use. they will pretend like it isn't a big deal if you try to tease them about it

they don't like reading things online and would rather have a physical book. not that i'm projecting or anything of course. they take care of them too and don't lend them to just anybody

i think mhin has actual bookmarks, or would at least like them. they might also use a receipt to mark their page but won't fold the corners...

they always put books back where they found them at the library/book store. if they find one in the wrong section, they'll put it in the right place themself

they can get upset, but don't cry super easily, but that's mostly because they've gotten used to suppressing their emotions. they do their best to channel it into anger instead

mhin isolating themself when they're upset,, conflicted over wanting to be happy and letting themself drown in the sadness. but in the end they hope and survive and will continue to do so

hmm... keeps information of their family and history close to them, but at some point i do think they'd (bittersweetly) share stories with quiet fondness

mhin seems like a silver jewelry kind of person but i just think they'd look really nice with gold earrings while pushing their hair behind their ear...

mhin is one of the top LI's for me when it comes to scenes of like, fixing their collar/clothes. the intimacy of them clasping your necklace, the tension and bated breath because you've never been this close. the surprise on their face when you reach to fix their hood etc.

they enjoy sneaking up on you. they end up in some corner of the room and while you're scanning the crowd to look for them, they suddenly speak from behind you. there's a hint of an amused smile when you jump

So sneaking up on her is very difficult.

But, that doesn't mean you can't try.

She even welcomes it.

It's a chance to hone and improve her skills.

Yes, she's powerful now. But you can never truly stop learning.

And, if you do manage to sneak up on her, expect to be praised.

And then question.

Thoroughly.

"What technique did you use?"

"Did you use tools?"

"Was there another party involved?"

"Were you distracting me with something?"

Like a full-on interrogation.

She'll also probably be taking notes.

Physical notes.

Don't take it as her being irritated.

Take it as her wanting to better herself.

She may have other reasons, other motivations for being great at sneaking around.

But, most of it is because she wants to protect you.

I’ve been a little more hesitant to tackle the Hunters, (aside from Ithaqua) just because I’ve been unsure how much to lean into them being the “villains” of the manor. And honestly I’m still a little wishy-washy about their characterizations…but anyway, I’m gonna give it a go with Antonio here (because I’ve got requests for him ;) ) and you guys please feel free to tell me if it feels off.

-Antonio is, first and foremost, depressed. And all his coping mechanisms are self-destructive. When life got hard, he turned to alcohol, and then later to gambling. And then, you know, to making a deal with the devil or something. The combination of those broke his wallet, his love, and then his spirit. His fuse is shorter now as a result, but instead of blowing up he moreso just…deflates.

-Despite being a Hunter, a “bad guy,” he’s probably better now than he was before. The biggest issue now is really the whole possession thing. He’s not exactly what you’d call “in control” of his body a good chunk of the time. Exactly when he’s going to lose control is generally unpredictable, aside from feeling like an invisible string of hair has coiled around his wrists shortly before. It happens a lot in matches, where he’s otherwise hesitant to be all that brutal, as well as when his mood gets low enough like above. But when he is in control, history has made Antionio milder than he was before his initial spiral.

-He still really likes his alcohol, but he’s better about taking it in moderation now. The other Hunters help to keep him in check about this as well, if not because they care about him then because he makes for an annoying, hot-headed drunk. He tends to pick fights when he’s really wasted and why would they want to deal with that?

-Gambling is also still problem for him, but since money doesn’t matter in the manors it’s both less concerning and less thrilling. He and some of the other Hunters place bets on matches, staking things like higher-end foods and favors to one another. He’s often requested to play specific pieces of music for people when he loses—particularly ones he dislikes.

-Because of the greedy imprisonment he suffered, Antonio dislikes spending long periods indoors, and especially in his room. He spends as much time outside as possible, enjoying the garden flowers and a cool breeze. On full moons, when there’s nothing planned, he usually goes wandering about to try and find any survivors doing the same. He enjoys the fresh company, for the most part, and even considers some of them friends.

-Antonio is among the most displeased of the Hunters, regarding the set-up for matches. Despite his history as a violent drunk, he takes no pleasure in hurting people, and he’s bitter about possibly having to be “evil” for the rest of eternity. The fact that some of the survivors don’t hold the matches against him is a balm to his aching soul.

-While the violin is his instrument and weapon of choice, Antonio enjoys all of the arts. Any kind of music, visual, or performance. He understands the importance of self-expression, and loves to see people give themselves to it in earnest. What he dislikes are frauds. People who use art just to make a buck.

-The best love languages for Antonio are Quality Time and Acts of Service. He finds it incredibly sweet when others anticipate some of his needs and complete tasks for him in case his arms are taken and he’s unable to do them himself later. He also just enjoys spending time around his loved ones, it reminds him that he’s not some irredeemable monster. He prefers to show his love through Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch, often giving people sweet pet names and touching their arms.

-His hair is stronger than the game suggests. He can easily carry large items, other people, and even lift himself with it. He can hoist himself up to a second-story floor with relative ease, though being lifted by your scalp isn't exactly the most comfortable sensation, so he tries to avoid it.

Clive/Gav headcanons/rambles/???

remembering i can post whatever i want once again so i'm posting some clive/gav headcanons since i was talking to a friend about our desires for character study slowburn but also our lamentations that we are not fic writers. and how barely anybody else is talking about this ship. so here's the compiled thoughts i've had. (there's more of them than i thought)

It's very 'Gav falls first, Clive falls harder'. Gav's got eyes, he see's what we all see and as he sees the kind of man Clive is and he's gonna fall deeper. and he also may think he's out of Clive's league. - Clive's got enough self resentment that he isn't even sure he's allowed to love again. the subject of 'loving somebody' is likely barely on the table in his mind yet after 13 years of spite and revenge, he still needs to catch up. Jill may put it on the table as it was maybe something they once felt, or something they were once expected to have; but they're different people now, trying to find themselves in their new space to do so. And during that time Gav is waiting for that 'will they wont they' to unfold.

Clive has spent a lot of time having to be physically violent against his will, so i think he enjoys getting to actually touch people affectionately for once - which we see for ourselves flusters Gav. as Gav grows accustomed to and even reciprocating of it (Gav having his growing crush and deciding to take what he can get) Clive's very glad with how comfortable he can be around Gav without consciously thinking too hard about it. along with how much i think Clive respects and admires Gav for everything he does, he's glad to continue being physically affectionate to show his appreciation.

Clive reflects on how for 13 years he had nothing to sincerely smile for while stuck as a hateful miserable soldier, and even before then under his mother they were few and far between. and as he's finding his footing for the first time in forever this funny breath of fresh air comes along and suddenly he's smiling. often even. And he can't even remember the last time his smile felt real. The last time he laughed so hard, eventually to the point where it's hard enough to make his chest hurt. that he doesn't quite feel like he's drowning.

he tries not to think too hard when Gav gets either giddy or flustered when he's praised lest the word "cute" fill his head. How he thinks Gav deserves all those kind words every time.

He and Gav have had their quiet moments over the years of the timeskip, and maybe somewhere earlier in the timeline than what happens in the game before joshua's returned, Gav's brings up earlier; "i never got to be a big brother" - losing his family in one night - and instead him relating to Clive on the feeling of failing to protect and save a younger sibling. in that vulnerable moment maybe Gav musters up asking 'was being a big brother nice? atleast for a little while?'. and they can mourn together the lost chances, pressure, and pride.

Along the way Clive picks up that Gav's jokes are how he gets by with the darker thoughts, the self doubts, the feeling of not being enough. and he comes to appreciate the Gav that isn't just trying to make him laugh or ease up, the Gav that is also struggling, that makes reminding him he's special continue to mean more to him. when he wants to be the one that also makes Gav smile and laugh and be happy to be alive in return

Gav's a man who's never been good at fancy words, and suddenly he wants to be a poet because he needs a way to describe the feelings he has. As he lets Clive see all his doubts and flaws but never being shamed for it, continuing to be treated by Clive's kindness, he cherishes feeling legitimately seen and cared for despite his weakness. and he feels like the most honoured man alive whenever Clive confides his struggles in him more and more too

everybody has been watching these two insufferably pine, Gav being more self aware and self concious, while Clive not even figuring out his own feelings yet for so long doesn't realize that he's obvious to everyone else :)

When Clive finally puts all the points together, being struck with the realization he's in love. the subsequent question "oh fuck is that allowed", and is laying in that bed hands in his hair staring wide eyed at the ceiling utterly stricken. But Clive, always the driven man, will eventually resolve to let Gav know, because he thinks Gav deserves that much. to let him know how grateful he is to know how to love someone - him - like this.

This is my 2nd request ever, and you handled my 1st request beautifully, so i thought that perhaps i would request again?

Recently, i was randomly hard-blocked on Tumblr by a (now former) mutual.. and also got randomly cut off by some friends irl too ...

To this day i have not the faintest idea what i did wrong and don't even have the capacity to ask any of them.. it makes me incredibly sad/disheartened to loose them, especially since i don't know/understand if/what i did anything wrong..

I'm really sorry to read that. It's hard to lose friends, especially when you don't really know why or what's going on. The only way to find out would be asking them about it. But you mentioned you don't feel up to ask them yourself. Maybe you have someone, a friend, who'd be willing to do that for you? Sometimes you can't change peoples minds, and you don't have to. Real friends don't just leave you behind without telling you what bothered them. Real friends communicate and try to fix things and don't just leave or ignore. Hold on to the real ones and let the ones who want to go just go. I know it feels devastating, but you don't need people like this in your life. If they just show you the cold shoulder without voicing what's the deal, they are not willing to really make an effort for this friendship, so why should you run after them? Invest your energy in your real friends.

And friends who need some time to themselves for personal reasons usually at least tell you that they need to retreat for a while, at least in my experience (I do that sometimes when I need to charge up my mental batteries). Cutting someone off without at least addressing them once about the reason is Kindergarten or headless teenager behavior at best. People who really care/cared, don't just vanish out of your life quietly.

That's probably not making you feel much better, but what I'm trying to say is, that you should focus on yourself a bit more and those who deserve your friendship. Don't cry over undeserving idiots. Easier said than done, I know. It'll take time, like everything emotionally heavy does, but you'll feel better at some point when you manage to sort out your priorities. And Drama queens who cut you off on purpose, to make you run after them, are even worse. Those are energy vampires, don't play that game with them, you will always be at the exhausted, losing end.

But, I'm still here, not exactly a close friend, but a mutual I guess. I hear you and even though I can't do much for you right now, I can send you a hug and write something for you 🤗

Hunter

He is organizing and sorting a few things for the next mission when he talks to you and asks what is bothering you. Your revelation makes him wonder.

"And they didn't say anything? Didn't say why?

You shake your head sadly.

Hunter puts down the datapad on which he's just checked an inventory list and turns to face you fully.

"Then they're not friends either"

You frown and look at him questioningly.

Gently but firmly, he says, "Friends don't just turn their backs on you without comment. Someone who doesn't even expend enough energy to tell you what might be bothering them didn't really care much about this friendship or you in the first place."

You wrap your arms around your body, really not feeling much better now.

Hunter comes closer and takes off a glove and gently strokes your cheek.

"I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear. What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't have to chase after these people. Focus on your real friends, the ones you can always count on. Me, for example," he says with a smile, "Or my brothers. We would never abandon you".

"It just bugs me that I don't know what's going on," you say dejectedly, leaning your head against his chest.

Hunter puts an arm around your shoulders and continues to stroke your cheek with one hand.

"I know, that would keep me busy too. But all I can tell you is focus on other things, other, real friends, important things in your life. If you want I can ask them if you tell me who it is, but I can guarantee you, no matter how it turns out, friends like that will always let you down, again and again"

You sigh wistfully.

"You are a great person, a great friend and partner, don't worry, there will always be someone who appreciates that, one way or another"

Echo

He looks at you worriedly, a depressed expression on his face. Echo can't quite understand why anyone would act this way toward you.

"Maybe they just need some time to themselves?" he asks cautiously.

"All three of them?" you say doubtfully.

Echo sits down next to you in the grass in the shade where the found you and moves a little closer.

He says thoughtfully, "Real friends talk to each other, they say what's going on and don't just take off. Maybe they weren't as good friends as you thought."

"Maybe," you say quietly.

Echo puts an arm around you, and you automatically lean against him, seeking warmth and comfort from his body.

"You're never all alone, Mesh'la. I'm here, my brothers are here, and Omega adores you. You have a family here with us that you can always count on, at all times."

You smile. The loss of your friends hurts, especially that you don't know why. But the thought and feeling of having Echo by your side gives you a sense of security, the impression that everything is actually okay.

"I love you, Echo, what would I do without you?"

Echo gently hugs you and says, "Don't worry about that, you won't get rid of me that easily".

Wrecker

He looks at you in confusion.

"Why would they do that? Friends don't do that"

With a helpless sigh, you look up at your gentle giant.

"Maybe I've upset them?"

Wrecker frowns critically, takes your hand and pulls you with him to the open ramp where he sits down on it and pulls you onto his lap.

Gently putting both arms around you, he says, "Even if that were true, which I kind of can't imagine, then you bring up something like that. Problems that you ignore or eat into yourself only become bigger and bigger problems. If they're really upset about you, then they need to tell you, have a conversation. To just ignore you or shut you out is pretty childish."

You lean against him, resting your head on his shoulder.

"It just feels so weird, so heavy and devastating".

Wrecker strokes your back and pulls his arms, gently, a little tighter around you.

"Don't be sad Cyar'ika, you still have us after all, and that won't change. I love you"

"You are so sweet, Wrecker" you say softly with a small smile.

He chuckles, "I know, I'm great, aren't I?"

"Indeed," you say with a soft laugh, "I love you too."

Tech

He listened to you carefully. When you finish your sentence, Tech puts the datapad aside and looks at you thoughtfully.

"Why would a friend turn his back on you without justification?"

You shrug your shoulders helplessly.

"That's just what's bothering me. Did I upset them, perhaps?"

"Come here, my love," Tech taps the seat next to him invitingly for you to join him before he says, "Well, I think that's unlikely, but it's still possible. However, it still wouldn't justify a lack of explanation about the situation."

You look at him for help.

"What would you do, Tech?"

He blinks, then says, "You know me, I wouldn't dwell on it for long. Even if I had negative feelings about it, I would go on my way and do what needs to be done."

"But what if it was Hunter and Wrecker?"

Tech sighs, "Well, we had something similar with Crosshair, however he gave us some sort of explanation. I don't know, honestly, I don't think there could be a fault line between us that isn't addressed. Especially Hunter would be looking for a dialogue to clear things up, and Wrecker probably would too."

He looks at you, trying to read your face.

After a pause, he says, "Well, in my estimation, these friends aren't worth your concern or friendship. If they don't feel the need to communicate with you about any problems that may exist, then they are obviously not willing to put any particular effort into this relationship. So my conclusion would be, if you are not worth their effort, then you should do the same the other way around and save your energy for more important things and people that are worth yours. Time for new priorities. If it helps you, I could work out a plan with you to help you redirect your energies and reorganize. It may be a good therapeutic distraction."

You smile at him.

"My beloved genius, I would greatly appreciate your help, yes."

Crosshair

He frowns.

"Well, I guess they're idiots," he says dryly, "You know I don't like most of your friends anyway."

Crosshair doesn't like to share your attention, that's the main reason. He tolerates your friends for your sake, but he'd much rather have you to himself. However, he would never go so far as to try to separate you from your friends.

When he sees the sad look on your face, he says, "If they just cut all the lines without telling you why, then they weren't friends either. You don't turn your back on a friend for no reason, and even if there is a reason, at least you talk about it, and then you decide whether to go your separate ways."

"Is that so?" asks Echo dryly from the background.

"Quiet back there," Crosshair grumbles, "You knew why we parted ways, I never made a secret of why I left."

"True."

Crosshair looks at you again and says, "People who really care about you don't turn their backs on you without comment, no matter how much your opinions may differ. What happens after a clarifying conversation is another story"

"Sometimes an ugly one," Echo mutters.

Crosshair snorts, "Would you please stay out of this".

You look from one to the other, finally looking up at Crosshair and asking, "What do you think I should do?"

"Keep going. Don't run after them, focus on yourself and the people who are really there for you," he lifts your chin slightly with his long fingers, "Like me for example."

Wolffe

He puts down the box he just took off his speeder, takes off his helmet and tucks it under his arm. He looks at you with a furrowed brow.

"Well, I guess they're not really friends, then."

"What do you mean?"

Wolffe looks at you urgently, "Someone who really cares doesn't turn their back on you without comment. Simple as that."

You wrap your arms around your body.

"I guess they don't care about me then."

Wolffe sighs, lifting your chin with his fingers and seeking eye contact.

"I care about you, a lot. I'm certainly not the only one"

You look up at him, swallowing and blinking back tears.

"It's just so scary. It feels like at some point everyone could suddenly be gone and then I'm alone"

Wolffe puts his helmet on the speeder, then puts both hands on your shoulder left and right.

"Cyare, you're not alone, you won't be alone. It may feel scary and defeating now, but you'll get over it. You will see and learn in time who your real friends are, what really matters and what your priorities should be"

"You won't abandon me, right?"

Wolffe gently kisses your forehead and says, "Never."

Rex

Rex looks at you in surprise. He expected everything possible, but not really.

"Do I know these friends?"

"No not really"

He shrugs and says, "Well, I don't really know what to tell you. In my experience, friendships are never one sided, at least they shouldn't be. You invest quite a lot of energy in these contacts and suddenly nothing comes back? Mesh'la, it sounds like you were used and… well, don't need you anymore. That doesn't have much to do with friendship, though."

Startled, you sit down on a bench nearby. Rex follows you. He looks at you meekly and says, "Sorry, you probably didn't want to hear that."

You sigh softly and say, "Maybe. But maybe I needed to hear it."

Rex shrugs and says quietly, "Maybe I'm wrong too, Mesh'la, but you should focus on yourself for now and be careful in case they contact you again. You can't let them hurt you."

He sits down next to you and says with a gentle smile, "In any case, you have me, I won't let you down."

His hand clasps yours with gentle pressure.

When you look up at his face, he gives you an encouraging look with that mischievous, yet soft and warm smile of his.

"I got you, Mesh'la, always"

Little random game: name the eps you most hate and most love of each miraculous season and explain why

Hmm, there's not many episodes I'd say I hate, but my favorites and least favorites of each season are as follows:

Season 1:

Favorite: Origins -I don't care if this is technically two episodes, I loved seeing the origins of how the children met and how everything went down. The beginning of LadyNoir and oh my gosh we got such good LadyNoir moments here.

Least Favorite: Reflekta -Honestly looking through season 1 there really isn't any that stands out as a least favorite for me. So I chose Reflekta solely because this episode is the start of the curse of the many Reflekta akumatizations to come. xD

Season 2:

Favorite: Heroes' Day -I had to put this one as my favorite just on the premise that I feel that Heroes' Day is the best final/two parter we've had in the entire series. I loved everyone's role in these episodes, and of course we get to see Nathalie being an absolute queen as well.

Least Favorite: Frozer -Eh. Just an episode that's never stood out to me. Forgettable in the long run.

Season 3:

Favorite: Chat Blanc -Favorite episode of the season? More like my favorite episode ever! The angst. The feels. Chat Blanc's hurt and rage. Chat Blanc's design. It's all so beautiful the only change I'd make is making it a two parter and maybe adding a LadyBlanc kiss. But those changes aren't even needed because it's wonderful as is. 11/10. -Gamer 2.0, Oblivio, and Reflekdoll are honorable mentions. For the adorable LadyNoir moments, adorable Lovesquare moments via memory loss, and kwami swap! Season 3 is probably my favorite season overall.

Least Favorite: Christmaster -Just another episode that's never stood out to me. Plot wise it felt mid, and I can't see myself going back to rewatch it or basing a fic on it. Or including it in a fic. -Honorable mention of Miracle Queen though, as this used to be my least favorite of the season. I was really on board for a Chloe redemption when season three ended so this episode kind of stung (hehe) then, but nowadays I don't have the same issues with it.

Season 4:

Favorite: Qilin Least Favorite: Qilin

-Ha! Didn't see this coming, did you? I love love loved so much of Qilin. I loved the themes it addresses, Marinette and Sabine's relationship, the design of the akuma, it was all so good... until the very end!! They let Marinette take the blame when the real problem was racism?? I hate you ticket dude. And also bus driver dude you saw Sabine with her tickets and she literally gave you baked goods and you said nothing when she was taken away? Why???

And if you don't accept one episode being both the favorite and least favorite, then here are my thoughts on other episodes of the season: -I love the setup of Truth and Lies and would love more episodes focusing solely on Adrien. -Guiltrip when Chat Noir almost Catalcysms himself hurts me on a physical level someone give Adrien a hug. -I will forever live for the Plagg and Adrien moments in Kuro Neko.

Season 5:

Favorite: Evolution -Season 5 has a lot of plot-heavy focused episodes, which I always love to get. We got canon Adrinette, Gabriel getting Cataclysmed, awesome lore... but in the end I still think it's this first episode that's my favorite. I loved the action, how it picks right up at the end of season four, and also Rabbit Noir had such an awesome design too. I liked seeing Master Fu again, and the role Alix got to play. Gabriel got his good Monarch design with the stained glass look. Also timetravel can be tricky to write, and they pulled it off well.

Least Favorite: Action -After a whole season of the most plot-heavy episodes yet with a lot happening emotionally... Action has very little action is the way of plot or even as good “filler”.

Specials:

Favorite: Miraculous Paris -Gah honestly I think this is one of the very best episodes in all the show. Fantastic writing, great characterization, a fun adventure and seeing the alternate universe was fascinating. I love Shadybug and Claw Noir. Hesperia was awesome (I refuse to call him Betterfly). I have so many questions about the other world and who the Supreme is. Gabriel singing the intro. I could go on all day.

Least Favorite: ...idk -I mean there's only three specials thus far, and honestly I can't rank the Shanghai or the New York special as the lowest.

Movies: -Jk we only have one. xD But with how movie one ended with Nathalie I'm excited to see what they might do with this universe in the future.

From that moment on, Garreth becomes (sometimes embarrassingly) outspoken of his love for her.

Valentine's POV: The moment she knew she had feelings for him was when she was caught off guard that Garreth was actually a good listener. Yes, he's always goofy and all that. But at that very moment, when she was hurt both physically and emotionally. She didn't expect that Garreth would be there to help her heal.

This one came from watching Dark Revival quite a bit while imagining Ericka, Mavis, and Audrey exploring around in there in WIR-Verse amd wondering what would happen if Mavis and Ericka came along Slicer's crate. Somewhat inspired by posts from @twinklecupcake and @humanityinahandbag

Audrey tries to warn them not to let Slicer out of her box, and Ericka strongly agrees. But the naieve and curious Mavis merely sees a small monster trapped in a box by cruel and fearful humans and convinces Ericka to help let her out against the others' better judgement.

The thing about Slicer (otherwise known as "Carley") is: once let out the box, she follows those who released her around the game, appearing out of nowhere with a scream and attacking before disappearing just as quickly, leaving only creepy giggling and possible bleeding cuts behind. Ontop of this: While she can't KILL you, she CAN get you to one hit point from death. And YOU can't kill HER, either.

Normally, Ericka can handle any terror The Cycle can dish out, but...she's not good with Screamers like Slicer. Eventually, things get too much. She screams and freezes up in full-blown sensory overload and a panic attack, leaving the younger girls to protect and help their older friend and usual protector.

Now, Mavis hasn't seen many panic attacks aside from possibly her father's (and he'd probably try and do those where Mavis couldn't see.) So she's not sure what's happening to her mother and worried it might be something like a heart attack or stroke. But Audrey...she knows all TOO well what's happening. Not only has she seen and helped the others through panic attacks...

She's had plenty of her OWN.

So, while Mavis physically comforts her, (Audrey isn't as physically affectionate as Mavis or Ericka...especially not after what happened with Wilson or Bendy. Plus, touching Alice or Bendy in this state sometimes makes things worse.) Audrey tries to talk her down and tell her she's safe now. Of course, Ericka is worried about seeming weak, ESPECIALLY in front of those she's supposed to he protecting. She's supposed to be BETTER than that, she's a Van Helsing, for Pete's sake! And she shouldn't be scared of monsters NOW, anyway! Didn't she learn monsters AREN'T dangerous animals!? But Audrey sees fear as a sign you're alive and shows how strong you truly are. Mavis also bonds closer with her ink-stained friend after their fight and with Audrey helping her mother.

Don't worry, everyone's fine. Mavis learned her lesson about messing with strange boxes and listening to others, Audrey made sure got Ericka home fine (Though the conversation with Drac later was...interesting to say the least.) And Audrey just needs a snack or a good banishment zap to be good as new.

Note: Yes, I know "Shell-shock" isn't exactly the best term for panic, anxiety, or PTSD flare-ups. I picked that term because Audrey lives in the early 70s so it makes sense for her to use some outdated terminology. Especially since she does react and help appropriately. I also know freezing, shaking, sweating, crying, hyperventilating, and screaming/lashing out aren't the only symptoms of panic attacks, but Ericka's expressive as bleep so it makes sense for her to have a big reaction.

Audrey: Ugh, it's HER again!

Audrey: It's an attack. Just not a heart one. Slicer must have shell-shocked her. Luckily, that's pretty common around here. Ms. Van Helsing? I need you to breathe for me, ok? In and out. Slowly. That's it. Just focus on my voice, Mavis' touch, and breathing. I know, it's scary. But you're safe now.

Ericka, Perking up: R-Really? The...the screaming monster, they're...they're gone? And...and you don't hate me? For being so weak?

Audrey: Uhuh. Well, at least for now. And of COURSE not. I'd never blame ANYONE for being scared. **fidgets with her blackened hand** I get scared too. Sometimes. I even break down screaming and crying. Being scared doesn't make you weak. It makes you alive. Shows how strong you TRULY are.

Mavis: Aw...Thanks, Audrey... Wait, are YOU ok? You DID get get a bit cut up back there.

Fears:

So I think all of his fears are all based in things he can't fight with his strength and determination. That's why he's afraid of heights. I think he's also terrified of being caught out in the ocean. Both are kinda tied to the same thing on Kamino - falling off the platform and sent adrift in the sea - and both represent situations where he can't fight his way out.

At Peace:

He feels most at peace in the Marauder but not because of it, but because that's where he's had his best memories with his brothers.

WHEN they're all safe on Pabu, it'll definitely be Pabu. His favorite place will always be the heart of his home. For ultimate peace, it'll be sunset after a day of helping his community, belly full after a meal with his brothers, sister, and close friends, and if he's with someone, them in his arms as they watch the sun sink over the edge of the sea.

It almost looks like an explosion, but with none of the fear or adrenaline.

yeah I truly do wonder about it as well. And I could totally see that 'kendall is being logan-ified' thing as a reason, but I feel like there's something else to it as well. I mean, to be fair, Kendall and Shiv are both probably a bit more ruthless with each other than either of them is with Roman, for example, or Roman with them (shiv telling Logan to send Ken to prison, Shiv's letter, ken sabotaging shiv's speech, all the insults Kendall throws at her, especially in s3) while each of their fights with roman are, mostly, more like 'normal' sibling-fights, aka insults and/or physically fighting each other. which isn't to say they're not still fucked-up and hurtful, but I feel like the scale of the consequences is often bigger with ken and shiv's fights, as demonstrated perfectly in 4x8.

So I can see why people have stronger reactions to their 'fights'. I think what puzzles me though, is when people pick one of their sides and insist they're the 'better' one/ the other is the 'worse' one? without acknowledging that they're both continually pretty horrible to each other. Which isn't a kendall-and-shiv-specific problem but more of a thing that exists within discussions about any relationship and character on the show - the idea that there is always some 'better' person, whose actions can be excused because someone else's actions were worse. Which is not how anything works and also just not how this show is written.

I don't know. I also think, to get back to the ken and shiv discussion, something those one-sided arguments tend ignore is that they're actually pretty close, when they're not destroying each other's lives lol. They both defend the other person in fights (last episode's tom thing, but also in Austerlitz when shiv gets mad about Logan spreading rumors, or kendall about Logan yelling at her, etc), they both, consistently, are the first or only person the other turns to when they're in trouble / need support (Ken asking shiv to take care of him in 2x4, Shiv calling Ken to tell him Rhea fucked her over and to help him in 2x7 /2x8, etc) and they often enough cannot stay mad at the other person, no matter what they say (like how shiv is the first one to soften up and talk to Ken/forgive him after the bear hug thing, how he says to her he doesn't know if they come back from the letter but then pretty quickly jokes about it and seems to have forgiven her). Like, I guess, the way people simplify and remove all nuance from their relationship by picking sides and acting like any wrongdoing on either of their parts stems from them actually hating each other / being rivals / being plain ruthless and horrible people is incomprehensible to me. It's pretty clear to me that they're siblings who love each other but never learned how to do that without also fighting each other every step of the way, and being in constant competition, fueled by Logan pitting the kids against each other from a very young age. But, again, that whole mindset people have is not at all merely a shiv and kendall thing, and it stems from the same misunderstanding of the show that makes people watch it as a game of thrones-style fight for who gets to be CEO, instead of a show about a very complicated and broken family abusing their enormous amounts of influence and power in ways that have immensely destructive outcomes.

I have no idea if I'm allowed to post twice but I wanted to make sure it got posted on time so I did them with their main Li first instead of putting them all together. This is them with their non main Li's. So the ones I ship them with but not as much as their 'main' routes. Only two are missing and that's because for one reason or another I don't ship them. Meeting would be fun as Kyle is one of the few people who is not just shorter than Portia just above her shoulder. They would've quickly gotten along with Portia's high energy but friendly nature and Kyle's friendly nature and equally high energy.

Their relationship would be double trouble. Both of them getting into trouble both magical and not. Especially during Portia's upright with Kyle having experience even if forgotten from working on pirate ships so their relationship having a lot of travel would be nothing but positive for Kyle as he and Portia spend a lot of their time together joking and having fun. While also knowing when things get serious they can both focus and rely on eachother.

Muriel;

(Kyle;4'4/Muriel;6'10)

If Muriel is scared to hurt 'normal' sized person you can imagine how he feels meeting someone as small as Kyle. Kyle however is quick to pick up on the fact Muriel won't hurt him from the way Muriel holds himself to hide some of his height.

They would probably have a funny relationship, small more hyper one and the big monotone one. Their relationship would be quiet sweet with Kyle doing his best to show Muriel the fact he's allowed to want things and to enjoy things. Trying to show Muriel the nicer things to life without pressuring him to enjoy everything. As he just enjoys having Muriel around and doing stuff with him. For Muriel having someone sweet who doesn't mind quietness is nice even if Kyle's small height scares him.

Lucio;

I would not be surprised if Lucio's first reaction to Kyle is to try manipulate before quickly realizing that isn't going to work. Kyle would probably see Lucio as someone to be weary of but also curios in.

Overall their relationship would be more interesting with Kyle definitely being the moral compass and Lucio being the muscle. With that said Kyle would definitely also party with Lucio between jobs making sure not to spend all their money of course. Between jobs and travel is parties and not destructive fun.

Hunter;

Asra;

(Hunter;5'4/Asra;5'8)

I'm going to assume Hunter is the Mc for Asra. Meeting Asra would be able to see through Hunter as being more similar to the moon, using their loud party energy to hide something. Hunter would see Asra as almost proof for what their adoptive aunt was trying to teach them.

Their relationship is pretty calm, while at first Hunter isn't thrilled with physical affection over time and gentle touches they start to really enjoy soft cuddles in the morning and while drinking tea. Along with Asra helping them with their shorter temper, not that it stops them from playfully playing along with any flirt off or silly game Asra comes up. Especially having grown up around Muriel Asra knows just because they have a more stirn exterior it doesn't mean their above playing along occasionally, although it is much easier to get Hunter to play along then Muriel.

Lucio;

uh no, Lucio would've liked Hunter right away because assertive and loud remind you of someone? Hunter would've thought Lucio was slightly annoying due to his whining but intresting.

While Hunter has a better moral compass than Lucio they would still get into a lot of trouble together. Hunter not afraid of bar fights and letting Lucio beat up an asshole or two if they encounter any. Although Hunter usually tries to make sure Lucio is in the right so they don't get thrown out, might even get a free drink depending on what's happening and who their beating up. For the most part they take bounties and roam around. Similar to Hunter's entire teenager phase but this time with a lover.

Bluebell;

Nadia;

(Bluebell; 6'4/Nadia:5'10)

First meeting would be fun since Bluebell would be immediately intimidated by Nadia and reflectively try and avoid being her main focus. Nadia would probably pick up on that quickly seeing Bluebell as soft spoken and skittish. (lowkey have no idea how they would get into a relationship but if they did.)

Where with Kyle and Nadia it's easy to assume Nadia is taking full charge while Kyle is actually keeping close notes. With Bluebell and Nadia this is true. Bluebell is there to support Nadia and while having her there helps give them enough courage to be on stage their not about to say anything during debates and is more than happy to let Nadia look after that. However, that isn't to say that Bluebell let's Nadia do everything that isn't true while in public eye they don't say much in private they act both as a good ear for Nadia to bounce ideas with but also at reminding Nadia that she can't do everything alone and should ask people if she needs something. Also acts as a good reminder to take breaks since given the chance Bluebell would also work themselves into the gave trying to do everything. (less out of the need to do everything themselves and more out of the need to get everything done.)

Asra;

(Bluebell; 6'4/Asra; 5'8)

pretending either cannon is different or Bluebell isn't Mc they would probably meet Asra while borrowing (stealing) one of Lucio's animals to give it proper medical attention. Asra would probably think Bluebell is interesting and Bluebell would probably be scared Asra is actually a guard or worse someone in standing with Nadia/Lucio.

Cuddles, so many cuddles. With Asra being more introverted and Bluebell being shy I could see them traveling a fair bit even as the Mc it wouldn't take much to convince Bluebell to join them on a trip. Especially if it's somewhere with mythical animals, as Bluebell has a way with animals and Asra has a way with magic and animals. Overall their relationship would be gentle and sweet.

Julian;

(Bluebell; 6'4/Julian;6'4)

First meeting depending on if Bluebell was Mc or not. If Mc it would be them freaked out by Julian having broken in and Julian being too focused on finding Asra/getting answers/being dramatic to realize. Bluebell seeing him as loud and dramatic. If not Mc their first meeting would probably be Julian catching Bluebell borrowing (stealing) one of Lucio's animals so they can give it medical treatment. Having the exchange of 'I never saw you if you never saw me'

Relationship wise they're both workaholics by nature so they'd probably have to force eachother to take a break and sleep. With Julian being a dr and Bluebell having trained as a dr but now working as a vet they understand medical stuff a lot more than the average Mc. Julian is able to push Bluebell to be more sociable without the expectation for them to become extroverted like him and Bluebell reminds Julian that he's worth taking care of, even when he feels like he isn't. Aside from with Portia I could see them having one of the most domestic lifestyles. Bluebell getting home before Julian and making dinner, them cuddling and eating, them both doing some late work together and then each of them forcing the other to go to bed so they can wake up early the next day, have breakfast and go to work. With their days off being a mix of going to the rowdy raven and running around the streets having fun with each-other.

Portia;

(Bluebell; 6'4/Portia;5'1)

Their first meeting would be interesting with how shy Bluebell is in general. So I could see it going with Portia chatting with Bluebell and them listening closely and only occasionally replying. With Bluebell being amazed at how positive and bubble Portia is and Portia curious about what secrets they're hiding behind their quiet exterior.

They would actually have an interesting dynamic someone who sees themselves as the secondary character and someone who would love nothing else than to be the background character. Bluebell showing Portia that she is the main character in their mind brave, smart and kind and Portia showing Bluebell that even if they don't think their brave, bravery is different things to different people and just being there is brave.

Muriel;

(Bluebell;6'4/Muriel;6'10)

I actually have a meeting for them where Bluebell would be doing checks on the wildlife species, making sure local species are thriving. When Bluebell runs into Muriel while in the woods would notice Muriel's connection to nature and ask for help with it explain it's to help the forest. While sceptical Muriel would help and slowly realize that their just keeping numbers for local species and them explaining they do it twice every year to track them and eventually showing Muriel the data on how some species numbers were going down with migrations then up and how others stay stable year round.

Their relationship would slowly grow with Bluebell spending more time around the woods and Muriel slowly growing used to having Bluebell around. With Bluebell's and Muriel's quiet nature they wouldn't speak a lot but would grow more comfortable around each-other. With Bluebells magic being focused around healing would help Muriel relax a bit as it becomes clear Bluebell really isn't a fighter and can't fight, seeing their connection to animals and determination to help them as sweet. While Bluebell would try and show Muriel they deserve more while also letting him do what he wants with no expectation for him to become comfortable with humans. Rather showing their care through making him food and small items. A chunk of their relationship would be giving small gifts like food and small carvings and quiet time together sharing a deep interest in nature and protecting the forest.
