#it obviously doesn't help that jayin is treating her the same way she treats all her characters

Lydia's whole situation makes me a little nuts. Cause like, first off she's an absolute monster in multiple senses of the word. Then it turns out that the rest of her species is even worse than her, and the one time she actually showed that she was slightly not as bad as she could have been they banished her for it! And they couldn't just get rid of her and then never interact with her again noooo they have to show up and rub it in her face every chance they get.
And then she starts coming to life and finds out that none of that was even technically real! She's just the quickly outclassed season one villain of someone else's story! Not only that, she's a twisted, tasteless parody of her creator's One That Got Away that she made as some sort of shitty Power Move! How do you even respond to that? How long before you start questioning where the stupid petty writing ends and the real you begins? How long before you start questioning if there even is a "you" under all that shit?
How long before you stop being able to believe that you're even real at all?
And of course the one person who could possibly begin to understand the existential nightmare she's found herself in is Cosmos, who's tragic backstory is objectively and entirely written to be Lydia's fault. Going to her with...any of these issues would be awkward, tactless and inappropriate at best.
#smg4 ocs#character study#lydia the storyweaver#it obviously doesn't help that jayin is treating her the same way she treats all her characters#possibly worse since an alyssa-shaped punching bag is really just TOO tempting sometimes#especially since lydia's more like her inspiration than expected and keeps putting herself between jayin and the parody twins
