i feel like people who claim they are going to cling to covid guidelines for like Years are simply allowing their anxiety to cloud their view of the future because i refuse to believe anyone could actually want this forever. i think it's just too difficult to imagine it being over yet so people reflexively just say they wanna keep social distancing forever when in reality that would actually be hell
