I had like 150+ lps when I was a kid but I sold them shortly after my dad died cuz trauma response. A part of me regrets that is adult cuz I think I tried to grow up too soon.

I did get like $500 for them with all of the accessories and playhouse and stuff though. Anyways your blog lets me vicariously relive a good chunk of my childhood so thank you.

💖 Has your OC ever been in love, be it romantic or platonic or otherwise? Who with and did they ever express their feelings or keep it private? How long did these feelings persist / do they still feel this way?

She experiences platonic love fairly regularly, definitely a person who isn’t afraid to say they love their friends. She’s also fairly quick to adopt people as family. As for romantic love, only twice. The first time was with Coreene, the second time was Eriie. 

Things ended poorly with Coreene, during base game Mave had to suddenly bail on her friends, including Coreene who was her girlfriend at the time. Mave just ended things without much explanation, out of a sense that she was doing Coreene a favor by not dragging her into Elder Dragon shenanigans. Rightfully, Coreene did not appreciate this “favor”. It’s been long enough that any lingering romantic feelings have definitely faded away, if not turned a little sour. 

Eriie is Mave’s current girlfriend and they were pretty clueless that they were into each other for a while. Like, a looooong while. They were pining for each other during Zhaitan and didn’t make it official until after Kralkatorrik. The long delay was due to one of those, “don’t want to ruin our friendship” kind of things.

📙 What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun?

What things bore your OC to tears and they couldn’t care less about? Why?

Seeing that she was in the Priory, you’d think intellectual pursuits would interest her more but unless it’s something really spectacular she doesn’t care much for history or philosophy. She does like geography and landmarks though. History of a famous general? Boring! History of the keep the general operated out of? Now we’re talking! She’s much rather talk about a weird tree you saw down the road than whatever the mayor as done for the economy.

She’s also pretty hyped about the ocean and rocks. She’ll talk your ear off about her rock collection. If you ever want her to shut up and listen for once, just start talking about the ocean. You’ll have her complete attention. 

📀 How easy is it to shock your OC? To confuse them? To lie to them, to manipulate them? How are they with feelings of trust? Can your OC be trusted?

Not very easy to shock her. She used to be a little delinquent as a sapling, before getting pulled into Elder Dragon nonsense. She was used to slumming it with criminals and pirates, she would even sneak into Nightmare Court events just to covertly crash their parties. She’s not easily confused or manipulated either, she never actually bought what the Nightmare Court was selling and she held her ground against Mordremoth’s sway.

That’s being said, it’s not impossible to trick Mave. She’s not a distrusting person by default, she gives the benefit of the doubt and likes to help people if asked. She 100% thought she made a new friend in the Departing when she first met Joko. She was like, “Who put this poor pushy old man in this cage? I should help him!” Thankfully, others intervened before she could get too far down that avenue.

As for herself, she’s trustworthy to an extent. She’ll usually only let you down if she gets distracted or bored. She can flub her responsibilities simply because it just wasn’t the fun thing to do at the time. 

🍐 What is your OC’s mentality? Are they overall positive? Negative? A bit of both? Describe their thought patterns and reasoning behind their choice making!

She’s definitely an optimist! Or at least a “fake it ‘til you make it” sort. She tries very hard to bury or push aside negative thoughts/emotions. Which isn’t great, because they usually just fester somewhere out of sight until they’re ready to burst fourth again at the worst possible time. As for decision making, she has a bad habit of doing what sounds most fun instead of what’s most useful or necessary.

💧 What is the earliest memory your OC can recall? Do they know what their first words were or remember where they took their first steps? Do they have any mementos of their childhood they’ve kept such as a stuffed toy or tiny baby clothes?

Probably something from the Dream. She remembers never feeling alone in the Dream, it makes being outside the Dream kind of awful. I don’t think the Dream prepared her for how lonely being alive was actually gonna be. Her first words outside the Dream were, “Where is everyone?” Because she’d made friends in the Dream who hadn’t even woken up yet, most notably Devlyn and Quilan who wouldn’t wake up until later cycles.

As for mementos from her time as a sapling, not really. I don’t think being a sapling as the same sentimentality for her as being a child would. She looks back on it more as her young adult years than as a childhood.

Cloud watching, especially if a storm is coming! Snuggles! Early mornings, freakin’ dawn blooms.

The only thing she’d change is the scar around her neck from when Balthazar lobbed her head off lmao. She always keeps it covered with clothing, scarves, or jewelry. It makes her uncomfortable to think about. Dying sucked. And also fuck that guy! He shouldn’t get to leave a permanent mark!
