The Abyss as an area in hollow knight--with the black and white colour scheme, the general bleakness of the entire area, the empty yet oppressive atmosphere, and the lighthouse--reminds me of both of playdead’s games

#with lighthouse shining the beam of white light on the lake so u can swim across...i feel like playing limbo while swimming across #and then the blue lifeblood area has this ambient music identical to ones from either inside of limbo. or both #the 'u have discovered something magical/disturbing in this bleak world' music #or the 'u have entered a very difficult platforming area of the game. there r 87 ways u can die from ur way from point a to point b' music #it def sounds identical to the turbine tank section in 'inside' (a section i havent gotten to cause i still need to finish playing inside)#im going down the abyss one..last...time. to transform kingsoul into voidheart and THEN i will be ready for the final boss fight(s)#but not before i get my last soul vessel fragment and dliver the delicate flower--which i have broken twice already cause im an idiot #that area is so depressing. yet...i love #yolanda talks #i should probably put this under read more since i have been putting hk blogging under read mores lately #but whatever
