How Brianne operates as an Arasaka director with more benign tactics:

Brianne is a legacy hire, channeled into position after position since she started her Arasaka career. Her father is a big wig in Arasaka (COO of Arasaka Bank, ECC). Her uncle is the president of the London branch. Her position was assured and seemingly untouchable in her branch, especially if you didn’t want to provoke the ire of higher ups.

Her wealth bracket put her a step ahead with a top of the line education. Boarding schools, tutors, graduate school and securing several internships under her father before being contracted. She still worked her way up the corporate ladder as others, but with assurances in place it was a far easier stride.

She is a restless worker. First in the office, last to leave. She keeps her dept in order, makes other depts accountable for their actions (even Counterintel), delegates and defines what needs to be done and it’s gained her recognition and promotions.

Instead of threats, Brianne hands out favors. Brianne’s empathy contributes to this approach. Whenever Brianne discovers someone is needlessly struggling (during evaluations, for instance), she tries to help. Whether that is by pulling some internal strings, reworking evaluations to offset some flags and alleviate pressure, or tapping into her connections. But these favors are like cards. It might not have a price set on it, but they are dealt if her position is threatened.  

She collects dirt on everyone. She employs a fixer (and in 2077 hires mercs directly) to periodically supply her intel on other higher ups and their and her own immediate subordinates. Anyone who could prove the most threatening to her position. Anything valuable is kept on file to use as collateral if necessary for blackmail. She doesn’t make the first move, but she’s ready to counter theirs.

Knowing their secrets reminds her to keep her own life and relations bleach clean and limited so her competitors have nothing to use against her or twist. It really dictates her social life or lack there of. And the lack thereof also stems from the lack of free time a corpo actually has when considering long work hours, especially as a higher up (100+ a week).
