Katalin doesn't like that every time they have this conversation or something like it, her sister just brushes it off as though it means nothing. As though her hurt means nothing. It worries her because while Iszi is strong and beautiful and intelligent, she's also softer and quieter than Marika, more often relegated to the background where she gets overlooked more often than not.

"You're not supposed to hide it when it hurts," Kat frowns, her voice gentle in its admonishment. She's a bit hypocritical for saying so, considering she tries to keep her own hurts hidden away for the most part. The only reason she fails is because her emotions are normally written all over her face.

"I don't want you to hurt. Not for someone like them." It's meaner than something Kat would typically say, but she is still a Korvin and seeing tears in Iszi's eyes triggers something feral in her.

She has, but for some reason it feels weird to say it... wrong. As if she had no right to, even though she knows that's not particularly true, nor is it fair to even think such thing. So she just gives half a shrug and a shy smile, looking down at her hands like it's the most interesting thing in the world ( even if the person standing right beside her fills in that spot effortlessly ). " I guess ?... but it just... I mean... it wasn't my place to ask ?... and I just thought if you felt comfortable enough, then you'd talk about it, I just assumed it was because you seem pretty private and I don't know..." the pauses are awkward, but Iszi is awkward most of the time, so it shouldn't take kai by surprise too much, she guesses. " I know I don't like talking about my family or... i don't know, my mom's version of 'how to raise your child'... but uh... yeah?."

It's very rare for me to have time to draw full dragons illustrations, sadly, so I was super happy to get this request!! :D

Even though it took me a while to finish it because of personal stuffs, I had fun with this and I love the result a looot!!!

I recorded some shots of the process with my cellphone, I'll try to edit it in the following days (the files are too heavy LOL). I'll post the final video here and on my bsky once it's done!! :] (same name as here)
