was a little bit wine drunk at dinner with my parents and started talking about how much i fancy tobias menzies (would not have done that sober) and my insane mother goes ‘well you wouldn't be the first 22-year-old to get with an older man. and knowing you, i have to encourage any interest in ANY man so i say go for it!' as if it's like a feasible thing and i've been propositioned or something 😭😭 meanwhile my dad literally dropped his fork and put his head in his hands and my mum was then like 'what?? at least there's still some hope jamie will marry a man! i want grandchildren.' and i told her that was literally crazy and also never going to happen and also i would have significantly less respect for any man his age who would get with someone my age and she was just like 'well you never know... never say never....' anyway i can't quite articulate how deeply strange the tone of this conversation was. literally insane that my mum thinks i could pull him but i can't really complain about that (even though she is so completely wrong.)
