do you take mod suggestions? if not, ignore the rest of the ask. but if you do I heavily recommend you get the "Proper Shotguns" mod and the recent patch by FlamingLlama. it will make shotguns shoot a set of pellets instead of a single projectile, making militors much more reliable at dealing damage.
