This comprehensive guide will help you navigate the options and find the ideal GPS Tracker system In Gaya.
Understanding GPS Tracking Systems
What is a GPS Tracker?
A GPS tracker is a device that uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine and track its precise location. This data is then transmitted to a remote server or device via cellular or satellite networks. GPS trackers are used in a variety of applications, from vehicle tracking to personal safety and asset management.
How Do GPS Trackers Work?
GPS trackers receive signals from a network of satellites orbiting the Earth. These signals contain time and location data, which the tracker uses to calculate its exact position. The device then transmits this information to a central server, where it can be accessed through a web-based platform or a mobile app. This real-time data allows users to monitor the location and movement of the tracker.

Welcome to the Neighborhood

Do not read if noncon fics make you uncomfortable. Also not proofread and there is cursing.
"its a nice little neighborhood, isn't it sweetheart?"
your mom and dad step out, leading the way up the driveway to the old home. "it's in need of repairs and renovation, but that wont take too long."
your dad was a gifted contractor that knew his way around a tool belt. the man has built homes for all his life, seeing a project this minor was almost laughable to him. the eye catcher of the property was the heavily wooded surroundings, acres of it. "your mother and i saw this and we just fell in love. here, we can put a nice flower garden for you right here."
you look at the small patch of cleared space that was nicely located across the dining room. with only one neighbor in sight, the rest of the homes were behind the trees, leaving the property secluded with loads of privacy. "its nice." you spoke softly as you admire the entire landscape.
the house was the complete opposite from the land piece, to say the least. it was in dire need of renovation; no doubt your dad will have it good as new in no time.
"since we still have to move everything from the old house, you can stay here and continue to go to school as you housesit. your college is only five minutes away."
you looked confused for only a moment, but was reassured of the safety features in the property after expressing concern of staying back alone.
"the property line has a gate with a security system. the house has a separate alarm, just don't forget to set it."
that week, you and your parents bonded over take out and dining over cardboard boxes. it all seems rustic, but you enjoyed the closeness it brought you three.
......
"well be back in two days, call us if anything happens."
your parents make the long fourteen hour drive to continue the preparations of the old home. you felt a sense of liberation hit as you grew excited of having an entire home all to yourself, regardless that it was a total construction zone.
you spent majority of the day fixing up your floral garden, before calling it a night. with dirt smeared everywhere, you immediately ran the hot water in the shower, not taking a moment of thought to secure the system prior to undressing.
the water felt amazing, and you took your time to enjoy and savor it. lost in the sensation of the soft water drops pouring over your skin, a click of the door is followed by a smooth swing as someone enters the home, all without alerting you.
the intruder swiftly enters, and closes the door. he blends in the shadow and makes his way to the hall, taking his place to hide in the close across your room.
you dry yourself off while humming a tune. once you started to pat dry your hair, you realized...
"Shoot....i should have armed the system before my shower."
quickly, you leave your wet hair plastered onto your skin as you wrap the towel over your body. quickly, you head over ot the front door and enter the code on the security pad. a series of beeps is followed by the intercom system that tells you the system has been armed. in order to open the doors, the code must be added, sealing the protection knowing that whoever breaks in, cannot escape once the police arrives.
you go back to your room, completely unaware that a pair of sharp eyes admired you from a distance. the way your skin glistened from the water, while the strands of your hair surrounded your shoulders made him think of mermaids and sirens. you were so lovely in his eyes...too lovely. he had to have you.
you stood in the center of the bedroom, preparing to discard the towel and change, when suddenly the power goes out. "shit..."
you cling onto the towel as you look around for your phone. fortunately, the peering moonlight peeking through the window was bright enough to light the entire room with a soft glare, making it easy to find your device. "there you are...."
You pick it up and set the flashlight on.
Scanning the area, you hold the light steady as you make your way to the main breaker in the garage. Down the stairs you go, slowly tip toeing while clenching the towel to your chest. You reach the area of the living room; only a simple couch furnished the area as the rest of it remained in tatters and gutted for renovation prep.
A creaky snap coming from the staircase behind startles you, infiltrating a jagged sense of fear rushing through you. A frightening yelp escapes your lips and you drop the phone.
The screen faces down, leaving the light to glow the entire room. Despite the dim lighting present, you didn’t see anything that would have caused the noise. Your breath becomes shaky. As you bend your knees, lowering your weight to pick up your phone, another sound emerges, a footstep.
“Who’s there?!” You shout. Heart pounding through flesh and cartilage as you abandon the act of garnishing the phone. Leaving it behind, you step away until the back end of the couch blocks your path. “Get out…I’ve called the police.”
Steadying your voice, you attempt to instill a confident tone in hopes that the intruder would be fooled by your bluff.
Silence replaces the wooden squeaks of the floorboard, signifying that the uninvited visitor halted their impeding steps. You slowly turn, doing your best to clear the entire room using a combination of night vision and the dim light source twelve feet away. When suddenly:
“Did you now?”
A deep voice responds directly behind. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the only thing that challenged your fibbing words. A pair of strong hands reach around and harshly squeeze your waist, fingers crossing over your bellybutton. A large frame pushes against you from behind, and a pointed nose makes its way to the noon of your neck, shoving against your jawline while a pair of plush lips tenderly kisses the smooth canvas of skin under your chin. “Sooomethiiing tells me you d-i-d-n-t.”
He carries a rhythmic tone as he playfully sang the words to a nursery rhymed beat. It was similar to the singing games children would hum out while playing, in fact it reminded you of “London Bridge is Falling Down.”
It’s okay baby. I’m not mad at you for lying. It’s kind of cute.”
He antagonizes you with his hallow words as his hands drift upwards, smoothing over the curves of your breasts before gripping the edge of the towel. “No! Stop!” You yell upon feeling the fabric being pulled down, exposing your most vulnerable assets. Your hands shoot up, attempting to cover your breasts while cupping your womanhood. “Shh.” He hushes against your ear as he grabs on to both your wrists. “What are you covering up for? Nervous, baby?”
He kisses your ear and nibbles your lobe. You start to sob hysterically as the man remains hidden behind, his face unidentifiable. The only thing you had go off of was the smooth sound of his deep and alluring voice. Despite feeling uncomfortable and beyond scared, you couldn’t help but internally admit that a small piece of you melted each time he spoke.
“Please…d-don’t-“ your whimpering only fueled his desire. He wanted more.
“‘Don’t’ what? Tell me baby, what is you don’t want me to do?” He licks your neck, tracing the entire outline. “Is it this?”
He immediately follow up his act with a sickening tender kiss atop your collar bone. The warmth from his chin resting along the curve of your inner shoulder eased your discomfort, as much as you hated to acknowledge it. “What about this?” His fingers drag down, rubbing circles on your clit, stimulating regions of flesh that you never knew existed.
“Is it this, baby? Is this what you don’t want?” His lips latch onto your neck as his free hand pinches and plays with your nipple. “Or is it this?” His offensive fingers push your clit inwards and slide down, right inside your cavity with no preparation or warning. He thrusts them in and out a few times, forcing your muscles to secrete a natural lubricant that allowed him to go in and out faster…and faster.
“D-don’t! Stop! Please!”
Your whimpers inherit a subtle moaning sense as the feeling of his fingers violating your body. The stinging burn wears off and a foreign sensation takes place inside you. You melt begging for him to stop, only to hear him scoff handsomely as he notices you rocking your hips back and forth, yearning for him to go in deeper. You’re in disbelief and ashamed. How can your body respond this way when your heart and soul wants him to stop?
“You like that, baby?”
You moan out pitifully as your hands attempt to peel his fingers off, but you were too weak from the spectacle going down in between your legs. Your legs begin to shake as you barely pull his index off, only for him to chuckle against your cheek. “Yeah you do.”
He answers for you in a confident tone but not at all cocky. It was almost loving in the way he was serenading you. “Let’s see how good of a girl you are.”
Your eyes widen, a stark contrast from their squinting form since you were relishing the feeling of being penetrated and massaged from the inside. His sense of gentleness takes a sudden turn, and the fearful tremble returns upon feeling him push you forward, forcing you to bend over the couch. “Fucking perfect, aren’t you?” He breathes out as he grips the undercarriage of your rear end, and cups your breast while pushing himself in to you.
Your hair drapes over your cheeks while his rough hands explore your nude body. An attempt to retract your bent position is suddenly halted as he pushes you back down, gripping the side of your waist. “Tsk-tsk.”
He smacks his teeth as he reaches around your face, gently tapping the tip of your nose with his finger.
The sound of his belt unbuckling triggered you to sob hysterically once more. “Please don’t do this…I-I don’t want this. Please I’ll do anything.”
“Oh I know.” He lures out so sympathetically as he traced the tip of his shaft along your clit. “Believe me baby, I know you’ll do anything…and don’t worry, you will.”
A painful rage of heat and friction takes place as he squeezes himself inside. Your legs shake ferociously as he barely burrows the first inch or two in you. Your body grows limp and collapses against the couch from the pain, it weakened you. His hips push in while his hands lift you back up, forcing you to arch your back as he presses his palms down on your lower back. “Deep breath.” He says through heavy breathing. Pushing the extension of his length in, he goes in more, breaking you. “Almost there…fuck.” He gasps.
Your vaginal walls grow incredibly numb as a result of the shock, and you lay bent over whimpering in pain as his balls kisses your taint, indicating he made it all the way in, to your most dreadful horror.
He pauses for a second. There was no relief, even with him pulling out, the sting from the thought friction of his muscle rubbing outward was just as bad as him entering. With his bulging tip remaining inside, he takes secondary pause as he adjusts his grip around your hips. A punch makes impact inside your gut as he rams back in. It felt as if he went much deeper than before. You scream from the shock of the act occurring, not just from the pain. There was nothing slow about his rhythm, he fucked you relentlessly in a brutal manner, it was animalistic.
A handful of strokes in, and you started to feel different. The pain subsided as did the numbness. There was a new feeling that formulated inside your walls, a tingling sense that felt good. Too good.
Your body bounces forward as he repeats his thrusts, going in faster and harder each time. You bite your lip, trying your best to suppress the pleasurable moan lying dormant in your throat. Don’t let him know that you’re starting to enjoy this. Don’t let him find out. Don’t let him…
Your mouth drools as you absorb each thrust. A snowball effect takes place deep inside you. It was a tightening band of pressure that continuously grew, to the point where it was on the verge of exploding. It felt so good. It sounded so good. The way his thick and lengthy shaft re-enters. The quenching sounds of your fluids mixing together and being shoved inside as he pounds away, slamming the firm sacks and mashing them against your taint, damn near bruising it.
He digs his fingers into your skin and picks up the pace. A hand grips onto your pelvis, and that’s what did you in. “Oh God!”
Hearing your moan in ecstatic pleasure excited him, you could hear it through his voice under heavy and deep gasps. “Yeah? Does it feel good baby.”
A prolonged moan of “oooh” is drawn from you as he maintains his momentum. “Pretty girl loves to be fucked?”
You nod as you pant your moans out. His vigor was taking your breath away, and even though you felt it hard to breathe, it was the most powerful feeling you’ve ever felt; a burst of pleasure setting off like fireworks. Your toes curl in, and your fingers pinch the cushion as he went in deeper, harder, and faster.
“Gonna let me cum inside this sweet little body?”
Your mind pleaded ‘no’, but your body yearned for him to do his bidding.
“I’ll take that as a yes, my fucking girl.”
You yelp mon out a pitiful ‘no’ as a last attempt, knowing that it wasn’t going to change anything. The damage has already been done. He’s been thrusting for nearly an hour and was still going strong, stretching you open and ruining you for any future prospects of sexual mates.
“Make me cum baby…fuck!”
He clenches his jaw and leans forward, resting his forehead over on the back of your head as he commits slow and hard thrusts, aiming to go in as deep as possible. The warmth of his secreting strings staining your walls was all it took to snap that band, and a wave of intense orgasm rushes through your bloodstream and sends a tingling spark to your toes and fingertips. “Oh-oh my God!!”
You scream out each word, arching your back and lifting your rear end, allowing for his top to slide in deeper as he shoots out the remainder of his seed. “Fuck yeah baby, take it all inside.”
You gulp with an open mouth as you sing out a high pitched moan. Never have you felt something so strong and beautiful. Too bad it had to go down this manner, but right now you didn’t care. The way he gave you an aftermath of kisses, and rubbed his fingers against your skin, it was all so…
“Fucking beautiful.”
He compliments you as he admits a tender kiss to your cheek. “Next time, I’ll take you on a date and then fuck you—and take my time doing it.”
Another kiss lands on your neck. “I just couldn’t help myself tonight. I’ll make it up to you.”
He gently wraps the towel over your body before slyly waking out, not even fazed by the alarm going off as he nonchalantly walks through the front door. You rush over and enter the pin to cease the beeping, gaining the sight of his back. From that you could see, he was tall, and rather well built. You’re not entirely sure how you felt from the whole ordeal. A sense of chaos riddle through as you became torn from being forced into an act of intense sex, grew into enjoying it, and facing the risk of unwanted pregnancy as a reminder of him drops down your thigh. ‘Shit…what have I done?’
………..
A couple of weeks pass, and you never mentioned to anyone about the incident. How could you? It may have started against your will, but something about the pleasure he instilled was unforgettable and addicting. It haunted your dreams, to the point where you awoke to soaked panties and a throbbing pulse of yearning desire. You would think back to that night, thinking about how he fucked you so good. So-so good.
In a way, a part of you had wished you did get pregnant from it. But your rational and realistic sensibility caused you to take your allowance and purchase a Plan-B pill. It was the right thing to do, but God…was it so wrong to want a piece of him inside you?
“Sweetheart, come outside for a moment.”
You walk over to your father’s voice, and met with him outside the front door. “Yes, dad?”
“Sweetheart, this is our neighbor, he lives in the house right outside the fence line, across your flower garden.”
You look over and see the man your father presented. He has the most handsome face you’ve ever seen, and was of great masculine stature. He was dressed in business casual, and looked so damn good with his hands tucked into his slack pockets. He flashes a smile, flaring sharp canines that elude a strong sense of vampirism.
“This is Sunghoon, he graduated from college last year, the same one you’re going to now.”
Your father continues his presentation as you struggled to break your sights away. “It’s nice to meet you, my name is y/n.”
You shyly introduce yourself properly, extending a handshake. He gently takes your palm and shakes it, almost playfully. His thumb rubs the back of your hand as he gives his proper introduction. Your eyes shoot up and you nearly fall as you hear his voice. That voice you could never forget.
You faintly gasp as he smirks, giving you a wink and pulling you in slightly while your parents weren’t looking. Whispering, the warmth of his breath grazes your face—
“Miss me baby?”

Full Moon
Title: Full Moon
Summary: It's the reader's favorite time of year and the new guy at school asks to hang out with her.
Characters: Teen!Reader, Teen!Dean Winchester, young Sam Winchester
Word Count: 2,267

Author's Note: This story was originally posted by myself under the account Winchestersgirl92. It was published October, 2017.
“To the student or students who thought it would be funny to steal the distributor cap from my car, please return it now or you will be discovered and expelled,” the principal announces over the intercom system. You smile and shake your head as you pull your locker door open. It was your favorite time of year.
There was a crispness to the air outside and a beautiful golden and auburn tint to the leaves. Pumpkins, skeletons, and ghosts lined the houses in your neighborhood. Mischief was running rampant among your classmates and even a few of the teachers had gotten in on the fun. Today was Halloween.
The final bell had rung for the day and everyone was rushing to leave. You exchange your books, depositing most of them back into your locker. Only one teacher had been cruel enough to actually assign homework over the holiday weekend. You close your locker door and nearly jump out of your skin. The new guy was leaning against the locker next to yours, an almost irresistible smirk spread across his face.
“Can I help you?” You ask, crossing your arms over your chest. He and his brother had moved to your school about a week ago. You could tell automatically he was a “ladies man” but you hadn’t expected to be his first target.
“I’m Dean. You’re Y/N, right?” He asks. You nod your head once, catching a few jealous glares from the girls you had expected him to make his way through. You couldn’t deny he was attractive but you had no desire to become his first conquest at your school. “What are you doing tonight?”
“Straight to the chase, huh?” You ask. He shrugs his shoulders, that cocky smirk still plastered on his face. “I’m taking my little brother trick-or-treating.”
“What a coincidence, I’m taking my little brother out too. Maybe we could take them together,” he says. You let out a laugh and raise an eyebrow at him.
“Isn’t your brother a freshman?” You ask. He nods his head. “Isn’t he a little old to trick-or-treat?”
“Nah, Sammy loves it,” he says. You shake your head, smiling in disbelief. “We’re new to the area and I’m sure you know all the good spots. So, what do you say?” He asks. What do you say? He was pretty cute. And determined. With both your younger brothers with you, nothing could really happen so you couldn’t see the harm in it. You rip a piece of paper from your notebook and quickly jot down your address.
“For your brother’s sake,” you tell him, handing it over to him. “Be there at 5:00.” He smirks as he takes it then winks at you and walks away. You watch him go then shake your head as you turn the other way.
You get home that afternoon and immediately set about getting yourself ready. Your costume was simple, a long red skirt, a white sweater with a big R embroidered on it, a ponytail with a red bow, and some simple white tennis shoes. Your little brother had decided to be Dracula this year so you help him get ready. At 5:00 on the dot, your doorbell rings.
“Y/N!! Your friend from school is here,” your mother calls out to you. You smile at your little brother then bring him downstairs with you. Dean and his brother Sam are standing in the front foyer of your house, looking around in astonishment.
“Didn’t know you were rich,” Dean says. You roll your eyes then look at his brother. He’s wearing a white sheet with two holes cut out for eyes.
“What is that?” You ask, looking at Dean quickly. Dean looks at Sam then back at you and shrugs.
“A ghost?” He asks. You roll your eyes and reach to pull the sheet off of Sam.
“If you were going to force him to come, you could have at least bought him a better costume,” you tell him. Dean frowns and his eyes fall to the ground. The second the words are out of your mouth, you regret them. You’d heard that they were living in the old motel across town which obviously meant they didn’t have a lot of money. “I’m sorry.” Dean shakes his head and looks around your house again. “We’ve actually got some of my older brother’s old costumes down in the basement if you want to find something,” you tell Sam. He glances at Dean then shrugs his shoulders. “Come on.” You take Sam’s hand and pull him through the hall then down into the basement. You find the box and open it, allowing Sam to dig through. “I’m sorry he’s making you do this. We don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Sam shrugs, looking at an old Superman costume.
“I don’t mind. Never really got to do much trick-or-treating before,” he says. You frown, your heart breaking at his words. He glances over at you. “He’s been talking about you a lot.”
“What?” You ask, looking up at him. He shrugs, looking back into the box.
“Dean’s been talking about you. Since the day we started at school. He really likes you,” he says, smiling as he finds another costume. “Can I wear this one?” He asks, holding up a Ghostbusters uniform. You smile at him and nod before showing him the bathroom upstairs. Going back into the foyer, you find Dean standing with his arms crossed.
“Sam said he hasn’t done much trick-or-treating before?” You ask. Anger flashes through Dean’s eyes quickly.
“We don’t need your pity, Y/N,” he says. Your eyes widen and you shake your head.
“No, Dean!! That’s not what this is,” you start. “Okay, maybe a little for Sam but I would actually like to hang out with you tonight while we give Sam a pretty good Halloween. If you still want to.” You bite your lip. Something new crosses Dean’s face, something you said triggering different emotions. He nods and smiles a little. Sam comes down the hall and Dean’s eyes widen before he starts to laugh.
“A Ghostbuster, huh?” He asks. Sam smiles widely and nods. You look between them, missing the joke.
“Alright. Count Dracula, let’s roll,” you call out. Your brother comes running in from the kitchen, a second pillowcase in his hands. He hands it to Sam who looks down at it in amazement.
“We’re gonna get this much candy?” He asks. You laugh and nod.
“Definitely,” you tell him. His eyes light up before the four of you leave the house. Several other families are already out on your street, making their way house to house. Your brother immediately takes the lead, Sam following him closely. You and Dean hang back, awkwardly silent as you stop at the first house.
“So,” Dean says, looking around. He shoves his hands in his pockets then looks over your costume. “What are you?”
“Sandy from Grease,” you tell him, running your hands over the red skirt. You look back to find him smirking again.
“That mean you’re gonna turn into Bad Sandy halfway through the night?” He asks. You throw your head back laughing.
“In your dreams, Winchester,” you tell him before following your brothers to the next house.
“You can count on that,” Dean says. Your cheeks heat up as you stop, watching your brother and Sam run up the stairs of a house.
“So what brings you here?” You ask, looking at him. He shrugs, watching Sam.
“My dad’s job. We move around a lot. Probably won’t be here long,” he tells you. You can’t help the rush of sadness that fills you. Obviously, you didn’t know him well at this point – you barely knew him at all honestly – but you weren’t fond of the idea of him leaving so soon.
“That your way of telling me you aren’t looking for a girlfriend?” You ask, glancing at him. He laughs and shakes his head.
“Just a fact,” he says. You smile at his laughter, watching it shake his whole body.
“Well maybe this time you’ll be able to stay for a while,” you say. He smiles and reaches over, catching your hand in his own. You should probably protest, not wanting to give him the wrong idea, but you don’t mind.
“Maybe,” Dean says, stopping at the fence of another house.
The sun sets slowly, seeming to reflect the beautiful fall colors across the sky. Your little brother and Sam fill their pillowcases before you all make your way to the city park. The community festival is in full swing when you arrive. Your brother and Sam split off, finding people from school to hang out with. Dean points out a group of teenagers by the apple bobbing station. You shake your head and pull him to the far side of the park where it’s more secluded. His arm comes around your waist, holding you close to his side.
“Pretty crazy about the principal’s car, huh?” He asks. You laugh lightly and nod. “Think they’ll catch the guy that did it?” You shake your head and he looks down at you. “Why not?”
“Cause everyone assumes it’s a guy,” you say, smirking up at him. His eyes widen quickly.
“You??” He asks. You smile and shrug, looking out to find your brother. He’s running around chasing a friend dressed as Frankenstein. Dean smiles and shakes his head. “I think I love you,” he says. You laugh and look back at him. “Why’d you do it?”
“He didn’t let us dress up for Halloween today,” you say, shrugging again.
“You’re really into all this, aren’t you?” He asks. You nod, feeling his hand start to rub your side slowly.
“You get to be someone else,” you tell him. He snorts and you look up at him.
“Why would you want to be anyone else? You’ve got everything you could ever want,” He says in disbelief. You smile a little and lay your head against his shoulder.
“Money doesn’t mean everything is always sunshine and rainbows, Dean,” you say. He nods his head slowly.
“I guess not,” he says. You stay this way, his arm wrapped around you tight, for a few minutes. He presses a kiss to the top of you head. “We’ve got some admirers.” You look up and find the group from school watching the two of you closely. You roll your eyes and step out of his arm, taking his hand.
“Let’s give them something to talk about then,” you say, pulling on his hand. He smiles as you lead him away from the crowds of people to a secluded clearing behind some trees. You stop and look up at the sky. “A full moon on Halloween.”
“That’s gotta be a bad omen or something,” Dean says, shaking his head. You turn to face him and wrap your arms around his neck.
“Nah, it’s good luck,” you tell him. He raises an eyebrow, his arms snaking around your waist.
“Is it?” He asks. You smile and stand up, pressing your lips against his. It’s a timid kiss, your lips just barely grazing against his. “Guess it is,” he mumbles, nodding his head. You let out a giggle and look away.
“It’s getting late. I should get my brother home,” you tell him.
“Can I take you out tomorrow night?” He asks, his nose nuzzling your cheek. You look back at him and nod.
“Yes you can,” you tell him. He smiles and moves to kiss you again but you lean away from him, smirking. “Tomorrow night.” He laughs lightly and nods.
“Okay,” he says. You take his hand again and pull him back to the main area. The two of you find your brothers. A quick kiss to his cheek and Dean promises to pick you up at 6:00 the following night.
The next night you put on your favorite dress. You fix your hair and make-up perfectly. 6:00 comes and Dean doesn’t. You wait for nearly an hour before deciding to go over to the motel yourself. Leaving your car running, you step into the main office connected to the string of run down rooms.
“Can I help you?” The man at the counter asks, not looking up. You bite your lip slightly.
“I’m looking for a family. The Winchesters. A man and his two sons,” you tell him. He nods slightly, flipping the page of his newspaper.
“Checked out this morning. Seemed to be in a rush,” he says. You stare at him for a moment then nod. Dean said they wouldn’t be around long. You hadn’t expected them to vanish overnight though. The man glances up at you then sets his paper aside. “Are you Y/N by chance?”
“I – I am,” you tell him, cautiously. He pulls open a drawer and hands you a small yellow envelope.
“One of the boys left this in case you showed up,” he says. You frown and take it before leaving the office. You pull a note out and quickly read it.
Y/N,
I’m so sorry. Dad’s job. We had to leave. Hopefully we’ll see each other again. Until then, wear this for luck.
Dean
You empty the rest of the contents of the envelope into your hand. A delicate silver chain falls out. You look over the necklace and find a tiny full moon charm attached to it. Your finger runs over the charm before you quickly fasten it around your neck. A stray tear slides down your cheek and you wipe at it quickly. You look up at the sky and smile, the full moon shining down on you.

i don't particularly like to get political on here but man is terribly horrifically hard to be a school shooting survivor in this country. i found out about the new one because i logged into facebook and my feed was
someone i went to high school with posting about it
a survivor i know from a different community posting about it
a parent of a dead child i met through politics posting about it
someone in a support group saying not to watch the news
repeat. repeat. change the order. repeat.
i'm too wired to sleep because i don't know the kids that were in that building today but yet i do because i am them, because a part of me will always be 17 years old in my algebra three class hoping god would really forgive me if it came down to it. i just texted a friend from another survivors community that i haven't talked to years because he tweeted something that worried me. i've gotten a handful of those check in texts today myself. i hate flying because i'm terrified of plane crashes and don't feel the least bit comforted by statistics. i hate intercom systems and police sirens and going from a women's undergrad college to a co-ed law school was hard because i became very aware that the chance of it happening again ticked up. the shooting at my high school was my english teacher's second. i spent a week in dc after the uvalde shooting and all i could think as i looked at my friends is that the only thing that had changed in four years was that we all looked older. i had to leave the political sphere because i sat in meetings- with republican staffers and well-intentioned democrats alike- and just wanted to scream. nonprofits forced "gun reform not gun control" down our throats but it rotted on my tongue and i wish you could say repeal the 2nd in polite company but you can't. good survivors tow the non-profit respectability line. good survivors don't get blocked by shannon watts from moms demand action for years and only unblocked after being part of a direct action that made international headlines. good survivors aren't in the facebook support group for survivors that moms demand and everytown hung out to dry.
to live in this country as a school shooting survivor is to take every breath through a gaping open wound in your chest.
cut that always bleeds i wish i knew how to sew you up right. i wish the stiches didn't always pop. i wish this place was different and that america didn't leave a generation of children behind to just live with their neatly tied in a red, white and blue ribbon trauma or die trying. fuck it all. i'm so fucking tired.

“welcome back ravens! the 2024-2025 school year is a-go and we’re so excited to have you back! the summer has been eventful to say the least so we hope you all have your thinking caps ready for a new school year! this school year is going to be one to remember.” a student says enthusiastically but disingenuously through the school intercom. tall standing speakers erect from the grounds of the college campus scattered everywhere so that no student misses out on announcements as if anyone even cared.
“god, do they always have to do these. i thought we were going to get rid of that when we left high school.” chaewon, your best friend and roommate, says as she rolls her eyes. her stark black bob-cut hair dancing with each step she takes. “please chaewon, morning announcements are like what keeps the education system going.” you explain, causing the two of you to stop in your tracks to look at each other; bursting out into laughter after your sarcastic remark.
“no, but seriously; they just do that to get students hyped but as you can see…” you pause, motioning to the students all wearing headphones or too busy running to their classes, “no one cares.”
“don’t forget, with the events of the summer, senator park has issued the curfew mandate to be extended only for an hour as he is aware of several college campuses that have courses that end in the evening. go ravens!” the student says before finally signing off.
“an extra hour, isn’t that like… not safe?” chaewon asks you and you just shrug. not thinking about how the extra hour would affect anyone, especially you and chaewon since the two of you had identical classes for the semester and finished the day at 5PM, before it got dark out.
“there’s my two favorite ladies!” jake says as he runs up behind the two of you, hanging his arms around both your shoulders. “ew jake, never say that again.” chaewon says, brushing his arm off of her shoulders. jake takes the hint and removes his arms off your shoulders, stuffing his hands into his pockets. “sooo, you hear about the curfew?” he asks, an ulterior motive waiting at the back of his tongue.
“yes, jake. they literally just announced it. dude, stop drinking so much it’s making you stupid.” chaewon says. jake and chaewon were cousins so their banter was normal. you couldn’t help but laugh at them because they were practically siblings. “well, since the curfew got extended a bit. i was thinking maybe we should go to this halloween party?” jake says, jutting out his bottom lip into a pout with a shrug.
“a halloween party? september isn’t even over yet.” you respond to him, chaewon rolling her eyes at her cousin’s suggestion. “also, just because there’s an extension on the curfew doesn’t mean it’s an encouragement to go out for longer. i don’t want to be murdered. especially y/n, she’s like the perfect victim!” chaewon says. “what’s that supposed to mean?” you ask, confused at her remark. “oh! sorry, i didn’t mean it like that! i’m just saying, you’re pretty similar to all of the victim’s so far. same characteristics and features is all.” chaewon explains, panic spreading across her face as she realizes what she said was slightly offensive. you just nod with a tight lipped smile in response and reflect on her comment.
“the party isn’t for another few weeks, but they sent out the invites early because they’re doing preparations to make sure that everyone is safe.” jake explains. “plus, i got into that frat i was telling you guys about and they said i could bring as many friends as i want.” jake says with a proud smile on his face.
“okay, first of all, joining a frat in our last year of university is loser behavior. and two, we’re the only friends you have so the “bring as many friends” that your frat bros told you, is two.” chaewon retorts, always quick witted, especially when it came to making fun of her cousin.
“whatever chae! you don’t have to come but y/n you should. i know how much you love halloween, plus it’s a costume party!” jake says, adding the last part to try and sweeten the deal. it did sound tempting but with the serial killer still on the loose and the number of victims getting higher everyday, you weren’t entirely sure you would be down for it. “we’ll see jaeyun, i’m still a bit shaken up about the murders, but thank you for the invite.” you say, smiling widely at jake and he returns the smile. “well you guys just let me know ok!” he says, jogging in front of the two of you. “i gotta get to class, see ya!” he says, giving you a peace sign while flipping off his cousin, to which chaewon responds with a middle finger of her own.
“you know you should really be nicer to jake. he’s sweet…” you say softly and chaewon makes a puking sound. “ew, i can’t believe you just called him sweet. i’m never telling him that it’s gonna go to his big head.” chaewon says while linking your arms as the two of you enter the science building.
your first class of the day was a lab with chaewon. you were both science majors. you were studying forensics while chaewon was studying biology. you loved science but you didn’t often tell anyone about your love of science, fearing that you would bore them to death. chaewon on the other hand flaunted her intelligence like it was a luxury handbag. boasting her smarts and physical prowess being not only your college’s top student but also the captain of the school’s women’s soccer team. she was perfect, like she was written from a book with archetypes of various character’s most perfect qualities. you on the other hand, kept to yourself, jake and chaewon were really your only friends.
you met chaewon you freshmen year as you two were assigned roommates and have been best friends since. you met jake through your ex-boyfriend, sunghoon, when you met with sunghoon one day for a double date with jake, sunghoon encouraged you to bring chaewon as he thought she would be a good match for jake. needless to say, when you all arrived and chaewon and jake recognized each other, you and sunghoon spent the whole night laughing at the two cousins as they were almost each other’s blind date.
you and sunghoon were high school sweethearts. you started dating when you were sophomores in high school and by the time you were sophomores in college, you two had broken up as sunghoon became too busy after he became the school’s ice hockey captain. you saw the breakup coming but a part of you wished that you had chosen to be selfish. instead of encouraging sunghoon to focus on ice hockey over you, but you wished you pushed for it to be the other way around, but you weren’t like that. you always put others before you. your grandmother always said that was a double-edged sword and your breakup with sunghoon proved that.
“hey…” chaewon says, stopping you to stand in front of you to look into your eyes. “you know i didn’t mean anything by my comment earlier right? the one about you being the perfect victim…” chaewon says, eyes clearly looking for a sign to see if you were offended. you weren’t but the comment did leave you to think about how you appeared to others. “don’t worry chae, i know what you meant. plus if the nightbird ever came after us we can just push jake to him and he’d probably yap the nightbird’s ear off and he’d just give up and leave.” you say, making chaewon laugh; glad that you weren’t upset at her. when you and chaewon first became friends, you quickly learned that she was very blunt and said most things that came to her mind. most of which weren’t offensive but her bluntness definitely rub some people the wrong way if they didn’t know her the way you and jake did.
you and chaewon entered the lab, students already geared up for the first session of the day. you scanned the room to find an open section that you and chaewon could work at when you spotted a familiar boy. thick pair of eyebrows that were furrowed as he wrote some notes down in a notebook. “okay if i join you?” you ask, causing sunghoon to raise his head to see who the voice was coming from.
“y/n- uh yea- yeah…” he says, a slight stutter in his voice as he clearly wasn’t expecting to see you. “y/n, you found us a spot. nice- you!” chaewon says as she joins you after grabbing some things from the professor, seeing your ex made chaewon almost throw her phone at him. chaewon didn’t really like sunghoon, even though you are still okay with him after your breakup.
sunghoon almost instinctly flinches after seeing chaewon because when she heard about your breakup, chaewon dumped an americano on him in the middle of the cafeteria. luckily, it was iced. “down girl!” you say jokingly, motioning for chaewon to relax and not to make a scene. “you’re lucky i love y/n…” she says, narrowing her eyes at sunghoon almost like it was a threat.
you shoot sunghoon an apologetic smile before getting to work with chaewon. this lab was just a continuation of research the two of you did over the summer so you just continued whatever you needed to for the day.
“hey, thanks man. sorry i’m late.” a guy runs up to sunghoon, pulling out a stool next to him to have a seat. he hands sunghoon an americano and starts taking things out of his backpack. “no problem, thanks for the drink.” sunghoon says, taking a sip of his coffee. you and chaewon just stared at sunghoon until he realized he hadn’t introduced his friend to you guys.
“oh! uh, y/n and chaewon, this is jongseong. he just moved here and he’s on the ice hockey team with me.” sunghoon finally says, introducing you to the mystery man. you and chaewon smile at him, “you can call me jay.” he says, extending his hand out to both of you. chaewon smiles and gets back to finishing her notes while you accept his handshake. it was firm but not in the way where it was intimidating, but in the way that showed he was secure. “heh, your hands are soft.” jay randomly blurts out. “shit, sorry i didn’t mean to say that out loud.” he says, slapping his hand over his mouth. you laugh at his reaction and let him know it’s okay, earning a weird side-eye from chaewon.
the rest of the day went by pretty quickly, you and chaewon only had a lab and one class on monday’s so you were back at your shared apartment before it was even 3PM.
─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ───
you got back to your apartment alone because chaewon had soccer practice. you changed into comfy clothes and made your way to the kitchen to grab something to eat. deciding on heating up some leftovers from last night. you sit down at your couch and switch the tv on only to be met with another update from the news.
“breaking news, the nightbird has claimed another victim. cassandra kim, a 3rd year student at…” when you heard the name you began to tune out the news anchor. cassandra was a student you mentored over the summer. you were both in the forensics program and she had fallen behind in some classes so she reached out to you for some help. your ears began to ring at the news of the nightbird not only having his first victim at your college, but the fact that during your mentoship with cassandra, several people made comments about how the two of you were so similar you could be siblings.
this felt like the summer when one of your coworker’s fell prey to the nightbird. you were originally supposed to have the closing shift at the flower shop but an emergency with your grandmother prevented you from attending your shift. your coworker, emily song, who your boss often confuses you with, decided she could close the store by herself. she was the nightbird’s 4th victim that summer and it was only june. her body was found mutilated near the roses, her thick blood coating the flowers as they began to wilt under the pressure of her body.
you’re snapped out of your thoughts when your phone begins to ring, chaewon on the other end of the phone. “chae? is everything ok?” you ask her as she should still be in practice right now. “uh kinda, i’m heading back early, coach cancelled practice because of what happened to cassandra, did you see it?” chaewon explains.
“yeah, i just saw the news. it’s terrible.” you say, voice getting softer at the thought of cassandra’s lifeless body. “it’s fucking insane is what it is!” chaewon yells on the other side of the phone, you can hear her car door being slammed shut. “sorry, i’ll see you soon. did you eat already, i can grab dinner on the way home?” she asks but you decline telling her that you were going to eat but the news about cassandra made you lose your appetite and that you were just going to get a headstart on some assignments.
─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ───
a few weeks go by and the nightbird has only claimed one more victim since cassandra’s death. a freshman from a university on the other side of your city. you still didn’t feel safe but clearly the governor did as he lifted the curfew. deeming the decrease of nightbird victims as the start of a new era. claiming that he probably wasn’t going to be killing anymore, thinking the curfew extension helped, governor park pats himself on the back for his “heroic” decisions and everyone just goes back to living their lives as if there isn’t a serial killer still out there amongst all of you. it could be your neighbor, a classmate, someone in your home, hell it could even be jake for all you knew but deep down you knew jake couldn’t do such a thing. jake didn’t have a bad bone in his body, he got punched once at a party by some drunk guy and instead of fighting back, jake offered the guy a glass beer to just leave you and your friends alone. chaewon on the hand, slapped the drunkard assailant and kneed him in the groin, earning a round of applause from the rest of the partygoers as the man was pushed out of the party.

it was 2 days before the party and you were starting to think the nightbird had finally hung his serial killer hat and was done. there hadn’t been any new updates and people were truly going back to their normal lives. even chaewon had stayed out close to midnight at some point and confessed that she missed be out late at night.
“pleeaaaase!! come on, i’m throwing a party at my frat and you guys don’t wanna go?” jake begged the two of you as he was laid across your couch in the living room. a part of you was set on going to the party but only if chaewon went. “y/n, please! convince chae to go. i’ll look like a loser if none of my plus ones don’t go.” jake says, crawling off the couch and grabbing your hands while he was on his knees pleading; looking at your with his puppy eyes.
jake has had a crush on you since the first day he met you, but since you were dating sunghoon at the time, he put a pin in his feelings. when he heard the news of your breakup, he felt guilty that he was glad you had broken up but because sunghoon and jake had become good friends within that time, he didn’t think it was write to try and get with you. especially since his cousin was your best friend, chaewon would die before she ever let her best friend date her cousin.
you give chaewon a pleading stare. half saying, please come to the party, the other half pleading for her to help get jake off of you. “shit! i’m gonna be late.” jake says, scrambling to get on his two feet. he rushes to put his shoes on and grabs his bag from the floor. “i expect to see you both there! please, don’t let me look like a loser!” jake says as he makes his exit. “you’re already a loser jaeyun!” chaewon says and jake yells something back but he’s already too far away from your apartment for the both of you to hear.
“sooo… should we go?” chaewon asks.. “i’m only going if you go.” you further explain. you and chaewon list out the pros and cons of going to the party.
pros:
free alcohol
you haven’t been to a party in months
free alcohol
free alcohol
cons:
serial killer is still on the loose
you both decide that the pros do indeed outweigh the cons, convincing yourselves that because there would be so many people at this party there would be no way that the nightbird would attack and claim another victim because there would be tons of witnesses.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
you and chaewon threw on last minute costumes, opting to do a generic angel and devil duo. you being the angel to chaewon’s devil. you each borrowed clothes from each other to complete the outfits. you donned a white ensemble, a white dress and heels to match while you had quickly bought angel wings and a halo from the halloween store. chaewon was wearing red leather pants and a matching leather top that you had in your closet, you had bought it on whim when you were feeling adventurous but when it had arrived you suddenly realized that wasn’t something you thought you could pull off. chaewon’s outfit was finished with devil horns that you also had gotten from the halloween store.
the two of you did the last touches of your makeup before you realized that your uber was outside, deciding that it was probably for the better if you two got a ride there so that you could both enjoy the night and drink without having to worry about driving later on.
the ride to the frat house was pretty sure, in all honestly you and chaewon could’ve walked but neither of you wanted to because you were in heels and it was pretty chilly outside. you could’ve brought coats or jackets but it was just one more thing you had to carry around at the party. as the driver dropped you off and big you farewell, a huge gust wind of blew past you and chaewon. you both shiver and jog quickly to the entrance. the house was already bumping with loud music and different colors of lights can be seen from the outside as they peeked through the windows.
you show the bouncer the invititation and before being let in you’re scanned with a metal detector. chaewon is in the clear but the detector goes off for you so you have to explain to the bouncer that it was your belly button piercing, you even showed him a photo on your phone to prove it and he lets you enter. with a sigh of relief you join chaewon who was patiently waiting for you just a few feet away.
once you enter through another set of doors, you realize that this party was a lot bigger than jake made it out to be. you assumed it would just be a few people because of the whole serial killer thing but you were now realizing that it seemed like half your graduating class was probably in attendance. you and chaewon make your way to drinks, pouring yourselves a mixture of a few different types of alcohol and juice to sip on all night.
you were almost done pouring yourself a drink when a random man in skeleton costume wraps his arms around you. in your surprised state you instantly grab his arm and twist it behind his back in submissin. “ow! y/n that fucking hurts!” the guy behind the masks exclaims and you realize the thick accent instantly.
“jake?” you ask, his arm still restrained behind him. chaewon snatches the mask off, revealing a jaeyun with now disheveled hair and a painful expression on his face. “can you let me go now?” he asks pleadingly and you realize you were still twisting his arm so you let go. “sorry, you scared me.” you mumble and jake rubs his arm. “you deserve it! why would you scare us like that, i almost dropped my drink you idiot!” chaewon says while jabbing her elbow into jake’s side, causing him to hunch over in pain.
“geez! sorry, stop beating me up!” he says half jokingly. you shoot him an apologetic look and he shares a smile back. “how do you even know how to do that y/n?” jake says, referring to the instant reaction you had to him. “yeah, that was kinda cool. you need to teach me that!” chaewon says and you just shrug, telling the pair of cousins that you had learned it from a movie. they don’t press any further but you could tell jake didn’t buy your tale.
“so angel and devil huh? fitting for chaewon, she’s like lucifer.” jake says teasingly and chaewon threatens him with a fist to which he fake flinches, acting like he’s scared but he wasn’t one bit. you explained that it was a last minute decision to which he says that you both looked good, even complimenting his cousin but not without theatrics as he pretended to barf and choke in the middle of the compliment. chaewon just rolls her eyes and makes about how jake’s costume was scary but what’s under the mask was scarier. she soon walks off to the dance floor, gesturing for you to come with her.
as you pass jake you quickly tell him that he’s not scary at all and that he actually looks cute. advising him that he should take the mask off for the rest of the night so everyone could see how cute he looked. you don’t get to see or hear jake’s response but a bright red makes their way to his cheeks as he smiles at your compliment.
chaewon pulls you into the dance floor and your bodies are moving against each other to the music. a euphoric feeling of freedom that you hadn’t felt in a while, having felt like you had to constantly be on your toes because of the murders but tonight you had practically forgotten all about it.
the music shifts from house music, to edm, to pop, and you’re truly enjoying your time. occasionally taking sips from your drink as you danced with chaewon and a few other girls you recognized from the finance program at your school. “psst, i think you caught the eyes of that guy.” one of the girls says into your ear, the music is too loud to hear anything without having to speak directly into each other’s ears. you turn your head to see where she’s pointing and a certain thick browed vampire is staring at you from across the room. a drink in hand like you and a smile now on his face as you guys make eye contact.
you let chaewon know you’ll be right back and you make your way over to sunghoon, who was leaning on the wall, smile growing bigger as you got closer to him. “care to explain why you’re staring at me like a creep?” you ask him teasingly and he chuckles at your comment. he leans down to you, lips almost grazing your ear, “couldn’t help but think you wore this costume for me.” sunghoon says. referring to your angel costume as angel was a petname he often called you during your relationship. you scoff and roll your eyes at him, clearly he’s had a few too many drinks because he doesn’t usually talk about your relationship unless he was drunk.
remembering the time he called you at 3am when he got too drunk and needed a ride home. this was 3 weeks after your breakup and although you didn’t want to see him, you were too kindhearted to leave him stranded at some random club. the whole drive back to his apartment he babbling about how pretty and nice his girlfriend was as if he was talking to some stranger, not realizing he was talking to you and that you were indeed not his girlfriend anymore. needless to say, he made sure not to get drunk around you again.
you turned on your heel to walk away from sunghoon but he grabs your wrist. he motions with his head to walk with him so you do. the music was too loud for the two of you and clearly sunghoon wanted to talk to you about something. whatever it may be, you finished the rest of your drink to prepare yourself.
sunghoon pushes open the sliding door that led to one of the many balconies at the frat house. the cold autumn air pinching at your cheeks, causing you to shiver and like it was a reflex, out of instinct, sunhoon wraps his arms around you to provide warmth.
“is this okay..?” sunghoon asks and you nod. “what did you wanna talk about?” you ask and sunghoon is quiet for a moment. “i just wanted to tell you that i have a girlfriend. i wanted you to hear it from me first and not anyone else.” he says. this wasn’t the news you were expecting to hear from him. you instantly threw his arms off of you in disgust, “are you kidding me?” you ask him, irritation and disdain clear from your tone. “you pulled me out here to tell me you had a girlfriend? as if i fucking care?” you say to him. sunghoon imagined this going better in his head but soon enough it had turned into an argument. similar to ones you had when you were still dating.

“i don’t give a fuck. go fuck yourself!” a voice says as jay watches from the shadows. he had been watching you since you had gotten to the party. he found several hiding spots around the frat house where he could easily stalk and lurk in the shadows without being seen. when he saw you and sunghoon make your way to the balcony, he watched from the window of the library, a room none of the frat brothers ever went into. he watched you storm away from sunghoon, cussing him out as you made your exit. sunghoon soon enters the house from the balcony, running his hands through his hair, clear disappoint on his face from how the interaction went down.
sunghoon has his down but not for long as he hears the floor creak just a few feet away. his gaze averting to the direction of the sound, jay quickly positions himself behind the door but it seems sunghoon is too curious for his own good as he makes his way towards the direction of the sound.
sunghoon slowly pushes the door open to the library and from there jay, with a quick swift movement, jabs a knife into sunghoon’s neck. blood spraying into the library as sunghoon’s body falls to the ground. blood splatters onto jay as he finishes the job, not caring about the blood on his skin as no one would question it because they were at a halloween party. he drags sunghoon’s body further into the library, behind one of the shelves before rejoining the rest of the party. now on his way to look for you.
jay had eliminated one obstacle in his way. he felt somewhat bad because sunghoon was a good friend to him but he was just in the way. now he just had to get rid of your two pesky best friends before he could have you all to himself.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
you made your way downstairs and reunited with chaewon and some of the other girls. you were partying it up but chaewon seemed to notice your mood had shifted. “are you okay?” chaewon asks into your ear and you give her a nod. she doesn’t believe you but she lets it go because she doesn’t want to push it. you tell her that you were going to grab another drink and that’s when you find run into jay in the kitchen. he’s picking up various bottles to see which one he wanted to drink, “you should choose the tequila.” you say as you get closer to jay and when he looks up at you and smile spreads across his face. “hey, it’s you!” jay says and you realize that he may not remember your name.
“y/n?” you say and jay smiles and nods at the realization of your name even though he’d never forget it. you’re all he has been thinking about since the moment he first laid eyes on you. “right! sorry i’m pretty drunk.” jay says with a chuckle and you can’t help but smile at him. the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled gave you butterflies inside your stomach and you hoped that he didn’t notice the redness in your cheeks and assumed it was from the alcohol.
you and jay got to talking and learned about one another, sharing your interests and hobbies, and you eventually forget about sunghoon. your conversation however is interrupted when a group of guys barge into the kitchen to refill their drinks. the room becoming way too crowded, “wanna head outside?” jay asks and with a nod, he takes your hand in his as he guides the two of you to a side door of the frat house that led to the backyard where several party goers have passed out on the grass.
the two of you sit next to each other on a lawn chair and chat about life and the events of the party, choosing to not bring up sunghoon because you didn’t want it to further ruin your night. “wait, what is your costume?” you ask, just now realizing that you didn’t know what jay was dressed as.
jay looks down at himself with a chuckle, “oh, haha um. well i’m dressed as ted bundy.” jay explains slowly, afraid that it would cause alarms to go off in your head but to his surprise it doesn’t. you tell him about how you actually listen to true crime podcasts pretty often and that ted bundy, although a monstrous serial killer, was an interesting individual. jay was relieved to hear this and somewhat glad as he found it as a way to only get closer to you.
in the heat of the moment, you don’t why but you find yourself moving closer to jay and sitting on his lap. “is this okay?” you ask him and jay swallows even though dry. he nods eagerly and you smile at his reaction. you found him so cute and the glasses he wore only made him look cuter. you snuggled closer to jay and he snakes his arm around your waist, although a new feeling it felt right and jay made you feel comfortable.
you find yourself staring into jay’s eyes and due to your close vicinity, the lenses of his glasses fog up from your breath. you take them off of him and wipe them clean and place them back onto his face. “you okay?” you ask jay and he seems stunned by your actions. jay wouldn’t admit it himself but you truly had him too stunned to speak. he didn’t expect your usual quiet nature to be so forward with him. jay didn’t know what to say as you got closer to him, “can i kiss you jay?” you ask him and jay slowly nods as your soft lips in contact with his.
the kiss starts off slow as the two of you get used to the feeling and after a few quick moments, the kiss heats up. jay adjusts your position on his lap so that you are now straddling him. one arm around your waist and the other was holding your face softly as he deepened the kiss. you leaned into the kiss and you could feel yourself melting into him.
this wasn’t a part of jay’s plan but he wasn’t complaining. he was enjoying the moment with you and if he was being honest, he wished that it wouldn’t end. the two of you were so immersed into the kiss that you don’t realize the music inside the house had halted for a moment but what caused the two of you to break off from one another is when an ear curdling scream echoes throughout the frat house. you quickly pull yourself off of jay, a confused expression on both your faces as you try to catch your breath and understand if what you heard was right.
just as you were about to say something, another scream can be heard from inside the house and the two of you rush inside to see what all the commotion is about. you could see that people were crowding up the stairs but you couldn’t tell what they were looking at or talking about. you and jay pushed your way through the crowd, hand in hand, as you climbed up the stairs.
when you reached the top you could see jake knelt over a body and chaewon standing over the two of them with both hands over her mouth. “guys what’s going on?” you say and jake and chaewon whip their hands in your direction. chaewon walks over to you and tries to tell you what happened but she doesn’t have the words to break it to you.
when jake gets up you got a better view of the person on the floor and you recognized the costume he was wearing. the same vampire costume that sunghoon was wearing, “is that sunghoon? what is he doing on the floor, is he okay?” you ask, trying to walk towards him but jake and chaewon hold you back. “y/n… sunghoon is dead.” jake says and it feels like time has stopped and you begin to hyperventilate. you were just with sunghoon, how could he suddenly be dead? you were confused and you truly didn’t know how to feel, you didn’t end on good terms but you would’ve never wished death upon him.
chaewon consoled you as tears began to fall from your eyes, all the while, jay was rubbing your back, trying to stop a smile from spreading across his face.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
a few hours have passed and everyone has left the party, leaving you, jay, chaewon, and jake at the frat house. the police had questioned the people at the party who didn’t immediately leave as soon as the cops showed up. you felt numb, you didn’t know what to feel or think because all you could replay in your head was your last moments with sunghoon. feeling guilty that maybe if you didn’t leave him behind, he would still be here, but he wasn’t.
when you were being questioned by the police you had asked several times if they thought it could be the nightbird but each time you asked they didn’t give you a definitive answer, telling you that they couldn’t clarify that because so far, all of the nighbird’s victims were female. you couldn’t wrap your head around what was going on, who would’ve killed sunghoon and just leave him in the library for everyone to find.
when the police left, you took a seat next to jake on the couch while chaewon was pacing around the living room. jay leaned on the entryway of the living room, observing the three of you to see what his next move would be. he needed to study the three of you further to know what he should do next but all he knew was that chaewon would be his next target.
“chae can you sit down you’re stressing me out!” jake says, breaking the silence and chaewon stops in her tracks with an irritated expression on her face. “fuck off, i’m just as stressed as you are.” chaewon scoffs at her cousin and they soon break out into an argument.
you were too emotional for their bickering so you abruptly got up and walked off, chaewon and jake suddenly stopping their argument when they realized you left. the three left in the take a seat on the couch, “should we go after her?” jake says and chaewon shakes her head, explaining that you probably needed some time to yourself.
“we probably shouldn’t leave her alone after what happened. what is the nightbird is who attacked?” jay says and he could tell that the pair of cousins were now considering that as an option. they all exchange silent glances before jake speaks up, breaking the silence once again. “do you really think it’s the nightbird?” jake asks and jay just shrugs, explaining that none of them could be too sure and that they probably should look for you before something bad happens.
the three of them split off on their own to look for you and neither of the cousins see the smile across jay’s face as his plan to induce paranoia in them succeeds.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
jake is wandering around the various halls of his frat house, not realizing how big it actually was. he’s entered a few rooms and quickly scanned them but you weren’t in any of them. he continues his way through the house but he hears a sound come from one of the storage closets. jake slowly approaches the closet, afraid at what could jump out at him, he slowly reaches for the door knob and with a twist and swift pull, he opens the door and a gasp leaves his lips.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
chaewon found herself roaming around on the top floor of the frat house, annoyed by all of the stairs she had to walk up, only to realize that when she got to the very top floor there was an elevator waiting for her. “are you fucking kidding me?” chaewon sighs with annoyance. she searches through the few rooms on the top floor, mostly storage as most of the rooms were filled with boxes. chaewon gets distracted as she sifts through the boxes, most of which were all old items from previous frat brothers who lived there and seasonal items that the members used throughout the year.
chaewon was too busy digging through the boxes that she doesn’t hear the floor creaking behind her and without a notice, a pair of hands are shoving her back and she goes flying through a window and lands on the grass outside of the house.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
jake gasps as he opens the door and he finds you crouched down in a coat closet. knees up to your chest as tears fall from your eyes. he kneels down to your level and consoles you, letting you know that everything is going to be okay and after a few moments, you let jake know that you’ll be fine and he helps you up from your spot in the closet.
as the two of you get to your feet and leave the closet, you both whip your heads towards the direction of the window when you see a silhouette quickly pass by the window with a drowned out thud following right after. “what was that?” you ask and jake silently shrugs. the two of you walk over to the window and a shriek leaves your lips as you see chaewon’s body on the ground.
you and jake quickly run outside and find jay already there, knelt down next to her, checking to see if she’s okay. when you get closer, tears once again start to fall from your eyes at the realization that your best friend was lying dead on the grass. you try to run to her side but jake stops you and you crumble in his arms as you hysterically cried for your best friend.
the two boys decide that it would be best to move chaewon inside so they carry her and place her limp body on the couch. you watched from afar, tears still in your eyes as you watched your best friend be carried away. even more questions were now swimming around in your head and it felt like this was a confirmation that the nightbird was here. although chaewon didn’t seem like the usual victim of the nightbird, alarms were now ringing in your head that you and your friends were getting picked off one by one.
“we need to protect ourselves.” you say and jake looks at you like you’re crazy. “what are you talking about? we need to call the police and leave.” jake says and as he grabs his phone it suddenly fades to black, indicating that the battery had run out.
when he asks if you or jay’s phone works, you realize that you hadn’t seen your phone and can’t remember the last time you saw it. jay held his up and his phone was also black. with no other option, jake refers to your plan. none of you could call the police and it was clear there was a murderer roaming around the house.
you instructed the two of them to grab something to defend themselves with and to make sure all doors and windows are locked so that way if the murderer were to try and escape or hide in any rooms, they wouldn’t be able to because it was locked and if they tried to break any doors or windows, all of you would hear it.
the two boys looked at themselves, questioning this behavior as they’ve never seen you act this way before. you stared at them and when none of them made any movement, you snapped to get them to start. the two boys ran in different directions, following your orders, and going off to look for something to defend themselves while locking all doors and windows.
you rolled your eyes at their reluctance to move but with two people dead, you weren’t about to let any more people die. you go in the same direction as jake, choosing to leave jay alone as he seemed more capable than jake, you see him in the kitchen grabbing a knife. you take the knife from his hands and hand him a mallet. “sorry jaeyun but i think i’m better off with this.” you tell him and he chuckles and agrees with you.
before you could walk off, jake asked you if you were okay and where this behavior was coming from. he had never seen you like this before and quite frankly it was a bit scary to see you go into this fight or flight mode, emphasis on the fight. you brushed off jake’s question and told him that it doesn’t matter. you mutter that you were going to find jay to make sure he was fine and jake just nods as he makes his way in the opposite direction of you.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
you roamed the halls of the house, knife close to your body as you quickly made sure to lock each door and window you passed by. you had just finished clearing one of the floors but hadn’t found jay when the lights inside of the house suddenly turned off. you expected this so you were able to keep your composure. you were beginning to try and think ahead of the nightbird, trying to figure out what his next move would be and turning the lights off made the most sense.
the three of you were all separated and turning off the lights would only cause more paranoia. you abandoned going onto the next floor as you rushed down the stairs carefully to go back to the living room. as you jog to the living room you trip over something and land on the ground with a thud, a grunt leaving your lips.
you scrambled as you tried to find a light source, patting the ground for anything and your fingers grazed over a phone. you quickly pressed the flashlight button and another shriek leaves your lips as you see jake unconscious on the ground. you had tripped over jake and soon realized that the nightbird had gotten to jake. you nudged jake and tried to get him to wake him up but he didn’t respond at all. you were now crying once again and you hear someone approach, you slowly raised the light upwards and the light flashes over jay.
“is he dead?” jay asks in a low tone and you could only respond with a grumble. jay kneels down and picks you up off the floor just as the lights turn back on. you wince at the bright light and when your eyes open you make eye contact with jay and he’s staring intently into his eyes. you were almost lost in his eyes but couldn’t shake the fear out of you. you separated from jay and began to pace around the living room. you were staring blankly at a wall and when your eyes focused over one of the photos, you noticed that jake and jay were standing next to each other in the photo.
you didn’t know that they knew each other let alone that they were also in the same frat. things were beginning to click in your head and puzzle pieces were falling into place. “hey jay… how did you like being in this frat? bet you never expected there’d be a murder huh?” you ask and jay instantly answers. telling you that it was cool and it felt nice to have made new friends and in the middle of his sentence he randomly stops. realizing that you had put two and two together.
you slowly turned around and watched jay, he had his gaze fixed on jake’s body and you were now for sure that your suspicions are correct. “it’s you isn’t?” you ask and jay chuckles at your question. he didn’t need to answer but the laugh told you everything you needed to know.
“how’d you figure it out?” jay probes as he looks up at you, a smile so sick it could cause heart attacks spread across his face. jay was not only the one killing your friends but was also the nightbird. your chest began to rise and fall a lot faster as you tried to come up with a plan in your head. “you’re new, i doubt anyone would’ve just invited a new kid into the party and since you needed an invite to get here you must’ve not needed one since you’re in the frat.” you began to explain as you took a few steps to create a bigger distance between the two of you. jay watching you from a distance and it seemed his eyes had gotten a lot darker.
“you also seemed way too familiar with the house, being able to navigate comfortably, even in the dark.” you continued, swallowing the dryness in your throat. only someone who knew the layout of the house could easily find their way in and out and around the house without a problem. easily carrying out each kill and slipping away without being noticed. you were trying to go through all of the signs you had seen but completely ignored. “and you also forgot to clean off the blood on your face.” you say, voice slightly trembling after you realize that the blood on his face wasn’t a part of a costume but probably sunghoon’s after jay had stabbed him.
jay is silent for a moment and a laugh erupts from him as he claps his hands, like he was amused by your findings. “wow. such a smart girl you are. i didn’t expect that coming from you.” he says, now trying to slowly close the distance between you but you oppose by continuing to step away. the two of you were now circling the living room, trying to keep your distance from him.
“you know i didn’t peg you to be very smart, but i stand corrected.” jay says, stopping and pulling out a knife from his pocket. when the blade flashes in the light you could see that it was still covered in blood and it makes you gag. the idea that he didn’t even bother to clean sunghoon’s blood off his knife made you sick.
“why did you do it?” you ask in a hushed tone.
jay smiles at you before answering your question. “well do you want the whole story?” he asks, almost like he was a bit excited to explain his murder sprees and why he gutted all of those women. your eyes narrow at him and he jokingly throws his hands in the air. “fine. i killed all these people because…” he pauses before continuing. the smile was no longer on his face and you could tell something had just shifted inside of him.
“i wanted to.” he says and a shiver runs down your spine. he found it amusing and that’s what terrified you. “do you know how satisfying it is to hold someone’s life in your hands, having them beg for their lives as tears run down their face, and giving them the smallest sliver of hope only to tear it away as i plunge my knife into them one last time?” jay says, his voice getting louder and more aggressive with each word.
you flinched at his answer and he could tell he was starting to get to you. “you know i wasn’t really going to kill you. i actually enjoyed what we were doing outside but i had to make sure none of your stupid friends got in the way. especially that jake, you know how much he would tell me how he liked you so much but didn’t have the courage to ask you out? it was fucking irritating and i’m glad i took care of him.” jay says as he kicks jake’s body.
“now, be a good girl and come over here. everything will be fine just as long as you listen and do whatever i say okay? i want to kill you and hear you beg, you’re the perfect victim. so innocent and oblivious you hadn’t even realized i’ve been stalking you for weeks now. i will say it’s very impressive that you figured me out. kudos to you angel.” jay says, a cocky smirk on his face and it only makes your blood boil.
“see that’s where you’re wrong. i’m not so innocent nor am i oblivious.” you begin to respond and jay becomes intrigued, eager to hear what you have to say. “go on, angel…” he says and you furrow your brows at his comment.
“i’m way more capable than you think. i may not have noticed you stalking me but trust me when i say this. i’ll be the only one making it out of this house tonight.” you say and it seemed like your body was moving before you could process it as you made a dash for the stairs but jay was quick and strong. before you could make it three steps up the stairs his arms were around your waist and he was pulling you to the ground. you land with a loud thud and the wooden floors make a cracking sound as you come in contact with it. the breath is knocked out of your lungs and jay takes this as an opportunity to grab your wrist and slam it in to the ground, causing you to drop your knife. he kicks it away and it slides towards jake’s body.
you struggle under his grip as you try to free yourself but it was to no avail. jay was just much stronger than you and although you were 100% sure you were a lot smarter than he was, you couldn’t fully get him off of you with just strength so you did something unexpected.
as jay held your body down, an angry expression on his face, you leaned forward and connected your lips together. jay’s eyes widen at the feeling of your lips on his and for a moment his grip on your hands loosen. when you pull away from him, jay is still shocked so you use all your strength to swing your head back and forward, headbutting him right in the nose. this causes him to stumble off of you as his hands fly to his nose, blood now dripping from it. you scramble to get up and crawl towards the knife but jay quickly realizes what you’re doing and grabs your ankle.
with blood still dripping from his nose, he drags your body across the room with his strength and your body slams into the wall causing picture frames to fall and a crack to appear from where your body was thrown into the wall. you wince in pain and are suddenly jolted forward when jay grabs a handful of your hair, “you think that was gonna work huh? stupid girl.” he says with a scoff. he begins dragging you by your hair and you thrash around, trying to escape from his grasp even if it meant ripping your hair out.
jay stops and kneels down towards you and before he could even say a word, you’re jabbing your first into his side and kicking him in the stomach as he falls to the floor from the pain. you both get back on your feet, quick breaths leaving both of your lips as you huff and puff for air. jay lunges at you but you quickly move to the side, causing him to stumble forward and into the wall. you kick his back and swiftly elbow the back of his neck, trying to incapacitate him but it seems nothing is working.
you look around the room and your eyes land on the knife laying next to jake. you try to reach for it but jay trips you over with his feet and jumps onto you. you were now in the same position as before, jay on top of you as you tried to push him off. an amused smile on his face as he watched you struggle trying to fight him off. his amusement in your struggle and will to live only pissed you off further, you averted your gaze from him to the knife and that was when you realized that jake’s eyes were open and he was staring at you.
you bring your gaze back towards jay when he starts talking, “i really like you, you know? if you hadn’t tried to kill me i think we would’ve made a hot couple.” jay says and you don’t respond with words but spit in his face instead. as the spit hits his eyes and he recoils, jake grabs the knife and slides it towards you. with the knife now in your hands, when jay opens his eyes they widen at the image of you plunging the knife into his stomach.
jay falls off of you and onto the floor as his blood pools around you. you quickly get off the ground and make your way to jake who was surprisingly awake. “how are you alive right now?” you ask him and he shows you that the knife didn’t puncture him because of the skeleton part of his costume. he then goes on to say that he didn’t immediately let it be known he was still alive because he didn’t want jay to panic and run away.
you close your eyes in relief and give jake a hug, glad that he was alive and was there to help you kill jay. “i can’t believe chaewon is gone…” he says and you just hug him tighter. “we should probably call the police.” you say and you bend over to grab jay’s phone. if your assumption was correct, jay’s phone was actually not dead but he just showed the two of you a black screen to make it seem that way.
you grab his phone and your assumption was right as when you grabbed it from his pocket, his phone lights up. you quickly unlock the phone by placing it in front of jay’s face and dial 911. tossing the phone onto his body as you and jake walk to the front porch to wait for police and paramedics to come. the two of you sit together on the steps and you lean your head onto his shoulder.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
soon after, bright blue and red lights appear in the distance and the sounds of sirens become louder as they get closer. you explained to the police officers that jay was the killer the whole time and that he was the nightbird but your conversation with the officer is halted when you see paramedics roll chaewon out of the house on a stretcher, her eyes open as she breathes through an oxygen mask. “chaewon!” you say, running past the officer and over to here. “is she gonna be okay?” you ask the medical specialist and they tell you they aren’t sure but there’s a high chance she’ll make it. you watch them wheel her away and she gives you a small smile.
“maam?” a voice says behind you and you turn around to find a different police officer behind you. “there isn’t any more bodies inside.” he says and your eyes widen at his statement. “what? no that has to be wrong, he was in there i stabbed him and he fell to the ground!” you yelled and when the officer doesn’t respond fast enough, you run back inside and find nothing but a puddle of blood where jay was originally laying.
you couldn’t believe that he was still out there and that this wasn’t over.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
you were sitting in your apartment, preparing for chaewon’s return home. she was extremely lucky that she had only broken a few bones and that the impact wasn’t hard enough to kill her. you were cleaning and making sure the apartment was clean and tidy so that she had no worries when she came home and that she could focus on just fully recovering.
your attention is caught by the tv as a news reporter talks about the nightbird. it had been about 2 weeks since that night and every day the news dedicated a segment to the nightbird. exposing his identity as jay park, 22 year old student, and the person better known as the nightbird serial killer. they even note that he was never found at the crime scene and that there was still an ongoing investigation to find him.
a knock on your door brings you out of your thoughts and you assume it’s chaewon. you check your phone and don’t see a text from her saying that she was there but you just figured she forgot. you walk over to your front door, ready to greet your best friend with a smile, but your smile quickly fades when you’re met with none other than jay. standing at your doorway, the same menacing and creepy smile plastered on his face, and the last thing you remember was him lunging at you before everything went dark.
⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆ ─── ♰ ─── ⋆⋅ ♰⋅⋆
“the nightbird has struck once again. his last victim being a male from the local university, park sunghoon, killing him at a halloween party where he attempted to kill three other students who also attended the same school. last night, calls were reported to an apartment complex where it seems the nightbird has claimed yet another victim. y/n y/ln, 22, who was one of the survivors from the halloween party, falls victim to the nightbird 2 weeks after the original event. if you have seen this man or have any information, do not hesitate to phone in. we must put this to rest and get justice for the victims.” the newscaster reported.
the tv suddenly turns black as jay shuts off the tv. smiling at the news and feeling victorious that you fell victim to him in the end. sure you were a smart girl, but at the end of the day, you were just as naive and oblivious like the rest of his victims were; and to him, you were the perfect victim.

Luigi: Liaison of Ghosts Chapter 9 Snippet(s)
Heyoooo I'm currently sick af and thought I'd share a couple snippets of the next LLoG AU installment. In this chapter, we see how the uneasy truce between Luigi and King Boo began. To no one's surprise, peace-talks following King Boo's release don't exactly go smoothly.
For context, Luigi, Mario, Gooigi, and King Boo are in an underground portion of E. Gadd's lab that's specifically designed to keep ghosts/spirits contained. The professor is watching the following events from the safety of an observation room. He communicates through an intercom system.
Currently, King Boo has snatched up Luigi in a large glove construct (think a smaller version of Master Hand) and is holding the man hostage...
___________________________
“Not another step, plumber! If you so much as twitch I will not hesitate to eat your scrawny brother!”
Mario freezes, aghast, and Luigi supposes he, too, should be alarmed by King Boo’s grisly threat. Instead, a memory drifts to the forefront of his mind, and Luigi feels himself relaxing minutely. He schools his features into some semblance of calm and meets Mario’s panicked gaze.
“He’s bluffing.”
Luigi is grateful his voice comes out level, and his confidence in his statement only rises when King Boo squawks indignantly.
“I most certainly am not!” the monarch snaps, voice shrill. “What could have possibly led you to draw such an idiotic conclusion?!”
“Gee, I don’t know,” Luigi begins flatly, “how about when you wanted to gargle bleach the first time you ever tasted me?” He looks to Mario, and deigns to elaborate. “Back at The Last Resort, King Boo slammed me into a door with his tongue—knocked the wind right out of me. He had the perfect chance to trap me in a portrait while I was catching my breath, but instead he chose to whine about how bad I tasted.”
The reactions to this little revelation are mixed. Mario looks like he isn’t sure whether to be horrified at Luigi’s close call or relieved by King Boo’s pettiness. Gooigi, if his gurgling laughter is any indication, finds it downright hilarious.
“First time?” E. Gadd murmurs through the speakers. “Stars above lad; just how many times were you in King Boo’s mouth that night?”
“…Professor, I am begging you to never repeat that in any capacity ever again.”
Gooigi laughs even harder. King Boo growls lowly, face heating with anger and no small amount of humiliation. He hefts Luigi higher with a snarl.
“How’s this for bluffing?” he hisses.
The construct grasping Luigi moves to hover over King Boo’s head, and the monarch quickly tilts back as they open their mouth. Luigi yelps when the large glove shifts so it is scruffing him by the back of his shirt. He now dangles precariously over tongue and toothy maw. Varying cries of alarm echo throughout the room. King Boo cackles, the metaphorical ball now back in his court.
But not for long.
_________________
(Let's jump ahead a bit in the scene, shall we?) Luigi has broken free from King Boo's grasp and an enraged Mario has powered up with a Super Star to deliver the ultimate beatdown. Luigi is quick to intervene before things go too far...
_________________
“Why are you still defending them?!” Mario demands, growing increasingly more frustrated with each passing second. “They just tried to eat you!”
“But they didn’t,” Luigi stresses.
“Only because you broke free!”
Luigi shakes his head. “No,” he refutes patiently, “they still wouldn’t have gone through with it.”
“How can you know that for sure?!”
“I already told you. Back at The Last Resort—”
“That was then!” Mario interjects. “This is now, Luigi. King Boo is trapped with nowhere to go. He could have just killed you out of spite!”
“I know, but—”
“But nothing!” Mario cries, cutting a hand through the air. “King Boo is dangerous and that’s never going to change! He’s just going to keep coming after us! Aren’t you tired of dealing with them?!”
“Aren’t you tired of dealing with Bowser?!” Luigi snaps.
Mario blinks back at Luigi, startled by his retort. “…what?”
“He’s dangerous, he’s tried to kill us multiple times, and he won’t stop abducting someone we care about,” Luigi says, counting off his fingers as he goes. “Who am I describing: King Boo or Bowser?”
Mario opens his mouth for a retort, but nothing impactful is forthcoming. His jaw works uselessly in the wake of his failed rebuttal. “That’s… that’s not a fair comparison.”
“You’re right,” Luigi agrees, “One of them gets invited to play tennis afterwards.”
“Luigi—”
“Do you not see the double-standard here?” Luigi continues sharply. “Look me in the eye and tell me it’s fair that Bowser—who attacks us and abducts Peach every other Tuesday—gets to walk free while King Boo—who has only targeted us three times—has to be imprisoned forever?”
Mario says nothing. It is silent but for the ambient hum of machinery. Even King Boo, always one to fill the air with his arsenal of targeted barbs and sardonic quips, has been rendered speechless. Luigi can feel the spectral monarch’s gaze boring into his back; it makes the hairs on his neck stand on end. He tries to ignore it. He keeps his focus on Mario, the latter struggling to meet his eyes.
The prismatic light enveloping Mario’s body begins to flicker—slowly, at first, but then in an increasingly rapid pattern until it finally snuffs out. Mario’s shoulders sag, whether it’s in defeat or weariness from the sudden loss of surging power, Luigi can’t say for certain. Luigi finds his own posture slouching, but with relief. He slowly closes the distance between them and places a hand on his brother’s shoulder.
“Look,” he begins quietly, lowering his voice to a more private volume, “I’m not exactly thrilled about all this either, but I made a promise to the other ghosts and spirits that I would free everyone. If I go back on my word without giving King Boo a proper chance, how are they supposed to trust me?”
Mario offers no verbal reply, but his grimace and averted gaze convey his discomfort well enough. Luigi sighs.
“Mario, you’re right to be wary of King Boo—I’m not trying to say otherwise. He’s one of the biggest threats we’ve ever faced. One of the few that’s ever…” Luigi trails off, a connection forming in his mind. “…gotten the upper hand on you.”
And as the words leave his mouth, Luigi is struck by a sudden realization. Why Mario’s reluctance to set King Boo free surpassed his own. Why Mario is seemingly content to let Bowser run amuck while simultaneously condemning King Boo for the same actions. Why he is so uncharacteristically angry.
Mario… is afraid.

pizza night
blackpink 5th member au
minah and mingyu suddenly turning into parents of 12
WARNINGS: it's been a long time since the last time I've written something. hope you guys like it tho!
masterlist 🩰 requests are opened feedback is always important to me!
"Five, four, three…"
The yoga instructor's voice was the only thing filling Minah and Mingyu's living room. Minah held her breath as the woman counted, trying to recreate the exact position she was teaching.
After the accident, Minah found the wonderful world of online workouts, and she never had to bother about going to the gym again. Not when she could do all that in her living room, not having to interact with other humans but her boyfriend, peacefully sleeping upstairs.
"Okay, now take a deep breath. And now, let it go." Minah did as the instructor said. "That's it for today, everyone. Our next class…"
Minah didn't wait for the video to end to turn off the TV, sitting on her couch and closing her eyes, feeling her muscles and her body racing post-workout. Oh, how she loved being alive.
She took her time there, just enjoying the silence, before deciding it was time for her to wake Mingyu up and get something to eat.
She was in the middle of the hallway when her intercom started ringing. Minah frowned. She didn't invite anyone, and Mingyu would probably warn her if he had. She turned around and headed to the kitchen.
Before even looking closely, Minah recognised who it was.
"Gosh…" she mumbled. Taking the intercom off the hook, Minah answered before anything. "Come in."
It didn't take two minutes before the door slammed open, and twelve men entered the apartment.
"Jesus, I'm so hungry." Dokyeom said, heading straight to the kitchen. He stopped before Minah and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek. "Hi, mom."
Minah lightly slapped his shoulder, making the boys laugh.
In less than a minute, her apartment was looking like a playground.
Seungcheol, Dokyeom and Jeonghan were in the kitchen, looking for something to eat. Joshua, Wonwoo, Jihoon and Minghao turned the TV on again and searched for a game to play, already deciding the pairs. Chan and Seungkwan waved at her and just laid on the couch. Minah made a mental note to brag with Mingyu about her perfect couch choice.
"Okay," she said. "who's gonna tell me what happened?"
"We were bored." Hansol showed up on her side, devouring one of her chocolate sundaes.
"And we missed you." Sooyoung said, trying to add a reason.
"Actually, our AC system broke." Jun whispered at her, heading to one of the guests' bedrooms.
"Hyung!" the men groaned together.
Minah laughed at their reaction.
Somehow, Minah can't even keep a straight face next to them. It always felt like she was in high school again, especially with the younger ones. She noticed Hayun wasn't there.
"Where's Hayun, by the way?"
"No comments on that." Seungcheol said without looking away from the oven, and she understood Hayun was probably sleeping in someone else's house.
"I'm gonna wake Mingyu." she announced, leaving the living room.
"No!" twelve voices echoed together, making her laugh.
"Why waking him up? He's so peaceful while he's asleep." Chan said with a forced smile on his face.
"The house is so quiet. Listen. " Jihoo said, making a signal for them to be quiet. "You can even listen to the birds."
Minah scoffed and shook her head, heading to the hallway leading to her bedroom. Mingyu had already talked to them about showing up without warning.
When she opened the door and got into the bedroom, she wished they were alone. Mingyu was in the same position she left him earlier, and she just wanted to take a quick shower and cuddle him again.
But a loud noise from the kitchen followed by a 'Dokyeom!' made Mingyu sit on the bed.
"What's happening?" he said, before even opening his eyes.
Minah chuckled and sat close to him, pulling him closer in a quick kiss.
"Hi, baby. We have guests." she said, watching Mingyu's sleeping face turning into a confused one, pulling Minah into a hug.
It took Mingyu a few seconds to fully understand what she meant, now rolling his eyes and making Minah laugh.
"I can't believe they did it again." he mumbled against her hair.
"Yes, honey. They did." Minah told him, letting go of his arms. "I'll be waiting for you so we can decide what to eat. We didn't go to the market yesterday, and we don't have enough food for all of us."
"I'll be out in a minute." Mingyu said, getting up and heading to their shared bathroom.
A loud noise from the kitchen made Minah leave the room and go back to the living room to check what happened.
"Oh, they have some good beers here…" Chan said.
Minah was about to tell him to drink some when she felt Mingyu's hand on her shoulder.
"Good morning, guys." he said, making the boys turn their attention to him.
"Oh, look at our Sleeping Beauty!" Soonyoung said, kidding and hugging Mingyu.
"Morning?" Wonwoo said, checking his watch. "It's almost noon, Mingyu-ah."
"Oh, that explains why Seungkwan and Chan are already on their third bottle of soju." Mingyu answered, watching his members toasting one more shot of soju. "Whatever," he shook his head. "we're ordering some pizzas, if you want to stay for dinner."
The boys tsked together and started mumbling.
"I'd love to stay, but I forgot my wallet." Seungcheol said, palming his pockets, trying to sound convincing.
"Me too." Dokyeom said, doing the same thing.
"Me t-"
Before Jihoo could say the same thing, Mingyu interrupted him.
"I'll pay." he told them.
Minah had never seen 12 grown men as happy as the 12 men inside her apartment at that moment. They started to cheer and mock Mingyu, thanking him, and that made her give an honest laugh.
"I'm going to call the girls and invite them over." she told Mingyu, who nodded and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek before she left to get her phone.
"Finally Mingyu hyung is going to open his wallet!" Hansol joked.
"Should we order some more beers, then? And then we can stop at some ice cream shop, and then we can buy some chocolate-" Chan asked.
Before Chan could finish his sentence, Mingyu threw a pillow at him, making the boys burst out.

Charles’s Angel(s)
Ch.2
Charles Leclerc x Reader
Author’s Note: We’re still getting there. Couple more chapters and then the man himself will show up.
“Now boarding: Flight number 2784”, the intercom resounded through the airport.
Clad in a comfortable blue sweatpant and top duo, you began making your way to the boarding line. The anticipation and nerves were killing you. This was the first time you’d be traveling solo, having grown up in a household that was moderately protective of you and your younger sister.
“Welcome to AirFrance, Maam, I hope you enjoy this flight”, the flight attendant said. You smiled in return, mumbling a quick “Of course, thank you very much”.
As the flight prepared for takeoff, you quickly tapped through your Duolingo app and the documents you had saved from your French classes in high school. Of course, you had no doubt in your abilities with the language, but surely there were differences in dialect and region, especially since you weren’t planning on going to Paris, but a southern region named Nice. One could never be too sure what to expect right?
This wasn’t unusual. From the time you could perceive language, you had been inclined toward learning languages. Of course, you began with your mother tongue, Bengali, then English, so you could succeed in the American school system, and soon after, French, Korean, Spanish, Hindi, Italian, and so on.
Sometimes it was strange, being able to understand what the people around you were saying. It almost felt like you were intruding. And so, you kept this hobby of yours under covers, hidden away from the public.
As soon as the plane was in the air, you switched everything off and leaned back, doing the most possible to relax and get some sleep.

Absolutely feral thoughts at 4am about these boys and no where to scream them to but the void 🥰
Hiragi? Phone sex king. The way his voice over the line makes feel like jelly is very much ok and should be done by him more often.
Umemiya? Sex on the roof is a given, but what about that time you guys were in the announcement booth and he made your ass"accidentally" turn on the intercom system. He quickly had to cover and make an announcement while fucking you, the whole time you biting down to keep quiet or the whole school would hear.
You may as well get out into a naked sandwich with Kaji, Kusumi, and Enomoto. They are a team after all

every time you do a new batfam post it’s like the universe for it expands EXPONENTIALLY in my mind. Like first off the fact that like this is an actual mansion crossed my mind. Also at the fact that Damien has chickens, he has to have a place to house the chickens, which suggests and most MASSIVE backyard imaginable? perhaps? At least someplace outdoors to keep them. And as well the INTERCOMS?!?! They just hear everything batsis is doin, always? I talk to myself all the time AND I laugh at jokes in my head AND I make weird noises to myself 😭💀💀 Also for the thing where it’s like ‘no matter how old the batsis is the youngest’ maybe it’s a basis of like. Damien might be 13 but he’s got the (general) maturity, intellect, and knowledge of gotham to make him older then batsis. Which is so funny in my mind to think about cause it’s true but I would be like! I’m 22!! I’m older and they’re like alright lil sis do this simple math problem from elementary school and i’d fold. I do have the maturity of a 22 year old but damien rlly be out here makin me feel like I’m 17 to 14 on the maturity scale :,,,). Idk if I misinterpreted some of this but I just think it’s funny to thing about nonetheless.
- ✨
Batsib: I'm an ADULT. I deserve AUTONOMY.
Bruce: Can you explain how the country's legislative system works?
Batsib: ... um.
Bruce: What's 23-7?
Batsib: ..............
Bruce: ... Do you want Italian or Chinese for dinner?
Batsib: Italian
I love your brain ✨ anon. It's true that Damian grows up to have a farm. I built it myself. He would also bring the chickens inside when it's too cold. Damian is the only person who can maintain an air of arrogance even when he's sweeping up chicken poop.

Chapter Six: Market Stepmommy
Conner waited for Barbara to let him past the security system, and he followed her directions to the kitchen, where Jason scrambled to make their sandwiches. “Hey, Jason?” Conner asked. Jason froze in place, staring up at Conner. “How hard did you fall?”
“Oh, not hard. I have nerve damage. Like today isn’t a bad pain day, but it’s a numbness day,” Jason explained, “It’s funny how a few hits to the head can do a lot to your body in the long run.”
“Sports?” Conner asked.
“Not exactly,” Jason replied as he finished making breakfast. “Gromit, here, buddy. Thanks for the pick me up this morning.” He fed Gromit two slices of bacon and washed his hands. Gromit brushed his face against Jason’s ankle. “I love you too, Gromit.”
“Food smells great,” Conner replied as Jason gave him his plate.
“Thanks… Barbara! Food’s done!” Jason hollered.
“Why are you yelling? Just use the intercom,” Barbara complained as she entered the room. “Hi, Baby Boy, watch out,” Barbara whispered as Gromit walked past her, proudly chewing his treat.
“Oh, Barbara. Conner thought you were my stepmom,” Jason chuckled.
“I would never date Bruce, though… That’d be gross, but I might start telling women at the grocery store that you’re my son. Do you think that works the same way it does for cute babies in sitcoms? How about it, Jason? Do you wanna help me find you a new stepmommy?” Barbara joked.
"I thought you were talking to that computer guy?" Jason asked.
"I can't have a backup plan? Besides, what if you don't like your future stepdad—?"
"Eww, okay. This joke is getting gross. Conner, she isn't my stepmom, she's a friend of the family. We wouldn't know what to do without her. Hey, Barbara, could you get Conner into school with me?" Jason asked as he took three pill bottles from Gromit's backpack. Conner watched as Jason washed his pills down with half a bottle of water.
"Mhm, I'll have him enrolled by Sunday night," Barbara answered.
Conner looked up from his sandwich. "Whoa, you guys were serious? That's—. Wow. Thank you," Conner smiled.
"It was easy. Don't worry about it. Do me a favor and make sure these two get outdoors,” Barbara requested, “And we’ll call it even.” Conner chuckled and nodded.
“Jason, where do you like to hang out?” Conner asked.
“I haven’t been to the museum in a while,” Jason replied, “Oh, and there’s this place called The Sewer, and they play live music sometimes. But it’s only cool at nighttime…” Jason looked at Barbara with wide eyes.
“I’ll watch Gromit while you hit the teen club tonight, but only because he’s great at keeping me company. How about it, Gromit? Do you want to work with Auntie Barbara tonight?” Barbara asked as she scratched under Gromit’s chin.
“Nothing too dangerous,” Jason warned her. Barbara nodded. “Does anybody want another sandwich? I’ve got a bunch of leftover bacon.”
“Please,” Barbara replied. Conner nodded along with her.
After breakfast, Jason let Conner go to his room with him while he got ready to go out. “Thanks for coming over. Are you gonna spend the night after The Sewer or—? Sorry, I haven’t been out and about a whole lot, so I’m excited to have somebody to hang out with—.”
“It’s okay. I don’t mind. I don’t have anyone normal like you to hang out with, so it’s nice to be able to chill with you,” Conner smiled. Jason threw on one of Bruce’s old beat-up flannels and pulled on his pants. Conner laid back and stretched out on Jason’s bed. “What’s it like living with Bruce Wayne? Is he like your dad or something?”
“Yeah, he is my dad. I love him a lot, but he’s got this weird vendetta against you because he thinks you’re gonna hurt Superman or something,” Jason confessed, “Which is why he can never know you’re Superboy. He’d flip his lid if he knew we were friends.”
Conner turned on his side and grinned at Jason. “So, we’re friends?” Conner asked.
Jason’s cheeks went rosy. “Shut up,” Jason giggled without meaning to. “We can do whatever you want between the museum and The Sewer tonight.”
“What is The Sewer exactly?” Conner questioned.
“It’s a nightclub for teens. After eight, it’s sixteen and up,” Jason replied, “I snuck in once when I was eleven… But I haven’t been able to get in since.”
Conner chuckled. “I’m sorry. I’m not—. Well, I kind of—. I imagined a tinier you in a nightclub moshing with teenagers,” Conner laughed. Jason snickered, and it built into a full-body laugh that left him doubled over.
“Oh, it was terrible,” Jason laughed, “I got tossed around like a ragdoll.” Conner and Jason laughed until tears rolled down their cheeks.
“I would’ve given anything to be a real kid,” Conner mumbled. Jason stopped laughing.
“You are a real kid,” Jason replied. Conner smiled and shook his head.
“I’m a science project being passed off as a kid,” Conner replied, “You don’t have to be nice about it. I know what I am—.”
“Clone or no clone, you’re a regular sixteen-year-old kid to me—. No, you’re better than most sixteen-year-old kids. You’re empathetic. You’re not judgmental. You’re funny. You’re friendly—. I mean—. I’m glad you were made in a lab because that’s what it took for me to get a friend like you,” Jason stated. Conner smiled.
“Thanks, Jason,” Conner whispered, “Hey, do you like fast cars?”
“Do ducks fly south for the winter?” Jason replied. Conner laughed.
“How ‘bout I take you flying on the way home tonight?” Conner suggested.
"Yeah, I'd love it, but my chair—."
"I can carry the chair too. Just fold it up. What do you say?" Conner asked. Jason nodded, his mouth open at the thought of flying. "It'll be fun. I promise."
Barbara knocked on the door. "No curfew tonight. It’s Saturday, and I think the chances of you two getting arrested are slim to none,” Barbara whispered.
Jason’s phone rang. “Oh! Hold on, it’s my dad. Mind if I take this?” Jason asked. Conner shook his head. “Hi, Bruce. Everything okay from abroad?”
“Mhm… I miss you,” Bruce whispered, “I don’t think I’ll be home this week, though… Jason, are you alright with Barbara until I get home?”
“Mhm… Are you gonna—? When are you and Alfred coming home? Do you have any idea?” Jason asked. A loud wind blew on Bruce’s end.
“It’ll be at least a week… Hopefully no more than a month, Jason—.”
“Is it dangerous?” Jason asked. Conner heard Jason’s pulse pick up speed.
“No more than the usual… I love you, Jason,” Bruce whispered.
“I love you too… Bruce? Um… If you’re in trouble—. Can you have Alfred write me or call me if something happens?” Jason asked.
“Uh-huh… Jason, are you alright?” Bruce questioned.
“Yeah… I just—. I’m hanging out with my friend tonight, so I might not answer my phone,” Jason replied.
“Okay… Be good, and feel free to call me if you need something,” Bruce whispered, “I gotta go.”
“Bye, D—. Bye, Bruce,” Jason whispered. He hung up and dropped his phone in his lap. “Okay. Ready to go?” Jason smiled, but there was no hiding his discomfort.

on a more lighthearted europe note- some random observations as a born and bred american that made made me ???
y'all do not sell tampons with applicators and that's kinda on me for not simply packing my own but booo. booo this is me booing.
i feel like the food comes out hotter than it does in the states??? not that i'm ever served *cold* food in the usa but i am super sensitive to hot food/drinks and i feel like ive had to wait longer here to start eating than i do when i'm home.
how long it takes to bring the check at restaurants (though i do really like that everything is digital at the table and not putting your card in a little book/waiting for it to come back). a german buddy said this is because culturally here in europe people tend to stay after the meal and talk more, whereas americans are used to just up and leaving right away. which i mean, yeah sounds about right haha!
minus being freaked out by an intercom system glitch during class yesterday- as a school shooting survivor ive always wondered if i'd actually feel safer in europe. and i do! which is a bit of a weird thing to process!
i don't drive so i take uber quite a bit in the states, and it was very much a thing in the netherlands but not in germany which has been slightly annoying. though the weather has been great here so far, thankfully!
and the walk to class here in nuremberg is really pretty with literal castle buildings lol i'm not ready to go back to my boring walk to school in the midwest usa.
i already kinda knew this from tiktok but in all the travel chaos i forgot people generally dont wear athleisure out until my friend and i went out to eat right after we got to germany in gym clothes bc we were traveling and someone we walked past literally said "look at them" to their friend lmfao. yes, we are americans!!! *eagle noises*
(this is a post made for fun. in all seriousness i am having the time of my life here and i know i'm gonna bawl like a baby when it's time to go home. excited to go to poland thursday-sunday!)
