Very Dope new visual by @cfluxsing check’em out! #Repost @cfluxsing My piece from tonight's show "Blooms" at @facetgallery It's called "Beautiful Deceit". The flower's are called a Water Hyacinths. They are these pretty weeds native to Tropical America. First introduced in South Africa in the early 1900's. The weed functions by depleting the oxygen in water as well as smothering bodies of water disallowing life forms from receiving nutrients this, killing them. The symbolism is western culture, no matter how exciting, technically advanced, appearance of moral beauty or freedom, it tends to overtake traditional cultures of the people whose ancestors have long been existing.
