Sonic Fan Claiming Several Sonadow Wiki Information as Their Own

It has recently been brought to our attention that there is a user by the name "Voiced by Mandy" on YouTube, X, Instagram and TikTok that made a video based off of a majority of our content. The user did not credit us despite us doing a majority of the research shown and the person even put us down by trying to claim a fact we have as misinformation.

Though we do not mind when people use our research to tell others about it, we asked that at least we be credited, especially for our personal analyzations. This user has not done that, not even in her document where she credited others.

To make matters worse, the person only mentioned the Sonadow Wiki while trying to state that we were spreading misinformation when saying that Sonic and Shadow Chao are the only Sonic themed Chao who can mate with each other. Because other Sonic themed Chao are immortal, that is why only the Sonic and Shadow Chao can mate with each other without hacks or modifications.

There are several parts in the video that takes content from us or were made aware of due to our content on the wiki, but the person took the information as her own and acted as if she did all the research to find all the information. She even took our Sonic Prime screenshots, which we can tell due to the pictures being the same exact frame we took, and still does not credit. (Starts at 1:41:42)

There are even times the person took our site references when talking about information we mentioned, such as when she talks about the symbolism with hydrangeas. We talk about this on our Observations page and the first site referenced is the same exact website shown on the video.

She also took our content talking about how Sonic is the Moon and that the Sonic x Shadow 2021 Calendar story references Tanabata. We were the first to make this known to the public, even before the Sonadow Wiki was founded by having it on the Shipping Wiki first. Yet the person acts as if this theory, or analyzation, came from herself or out of nowhere despite it being us who made this analyzation known. Other analyzations made on the story were also taken, such as how the astronomical show of the moon and ARK were Sonic's favorite, meaning that the times he meets up with Shadow are his favorites since Sonic represents the Moon while Shadow the ARK (in this story) (timestamp 2:41:15).

Another part is how in the description for the story, it states that Sonic and Shadow share an intimate relationship, which the person does not go deeper into to fully explain it properly.

One last analyzation taken about this story is how Sonic, being the moon, overlooks Shadow who is ostracized by society and watches over him forever and ever. (timestamp 2:40:41)

There are even other times where it is not so obvious (but possible) she took our research by trying to find the content herself to make it seem as if she found it instead of us. One of these times where this can be highly likely possible is the S-Rank moments in Sonic Colors (DS) (timestamp 1:18:00). We went through the effort to play the game ourselves in order to get this content, but to hide how we made these things known to the public after our hard work, she went to try to get S-Rank herself so that she wouldn't have to use our screenshots from our gameplay with the game.

The only time we were mentioned in the video (by voice only) was with our fact about the Sonic and Shadow Chao, but unlike others who also weren't referenced by links but by text, she does not state that what we've said comes from the Sonadow Wiki by putting the text: "Source: [name of site]." And while mentioning this, the person even tried to state that this fact about the Chao could be misinformation.

When trying to confront her, she even hid the comment made so that others wouldn't know that she took our information without crediting us while putting us down at the same time.

We who take care of the Sonadow Wiki went through a lot of harassment, especially from those who hate how we collect data concerning Sonadow, hate the ship or just wanted to harass us for fun. Some even thought that the official information we recorded were fan content or they say lies about us without even looking at the materials themselves. But what this person has done is by far one of the most scummiest things someone has ever done to us where the person even is gloating about all the attention Sonadow fans are giving them for the majority of the research we've done, where the person even gloated about how they can monetize videos after the attention this video has brought them and where they even are trying to get more views nine days later.

If people don't like our content or don't like us, then don't use our content; don't steal our work. If you can't be fair and at least credit your sources correctly, even if you don't agree with everything, then don't use our things at all. That is low, and again, very scummy.

Update:

In an update about the situation, one of our admins went around trying to bring awareness about the situation, but instead of being talked to or consulted, they were ignored and even had their comment made hidden by one of the ones who is credited in the video and praised it. The person even made art for the video implying that the video creator is the main or only one who did all the effort in finding all the information in the video. This artist then made an off comment, on their own without talking to the person, claiming that the video creator taking our research was based off of "crazy assumptions" despite the evidences and that the person is crazy and needs help.

This person has also helped with the video, and with that, helped with the creation of the video to have it take our research for their own. This is said in the "Special Thank You" section in the video. Due to being promoted and advertised by this video, along with helping the creation of it completely, that could be the main reason as to why this artist reacted this way to the person reaching out to them.

We also tried to reach out to others to ask for help in at least getting recognized for credit, but we have yet heard any responses from those we reached out to. Instead, we were ignored.

Privacy breaches are becoming a prevalent yet gravely worrisome problem in today's increasingly digital world, especially in India, where a plethora of new cyber threats have been brought about by fast digitization. Data breaches are more dangerous than ever as more people rely on digital platforms for banking, retail, communication, and even government functions. Protecting personal information is essential for both individuals and businesses and not doing so can have dire repercussions. This blog explores the definition of privacy breaches, their effects, and self-defence measures. Any unauthorized access, sharing, or theft of personal information constitutes a privacy breach. This may occur as a result of a deliberate hacking attempt or an unintentional disclosure. Privacy breaches are frequently more personal in nature, focusing on sensitive information like your name, financial information, or private chats, in contrast to data breaches, which usually involve the exposure of vast amounts of data. Millions of people have been impacted by these breaches, which have increased in frequency in India, where internet penetration is rising quickly.

Data leaks are among the most prevalent kinds of privacy violations. When private information is unintentionally made public by inadequate security measures, it is referred to as a data leak. These breaches can happen when businesses neglect to encrypt private information, making it open to illegal access. For instance, millions of people's names, addresses, and identification numbers were made public in 2021 due to a huge database leak in India, raising serious concerns about fraud and identity theft. Unauthorized access is another frequent way that privacy is violated. Cybercriminals obtain unauthorized access to networks or accounts using a variety of methods. For example, phishing is a popular technique where attackers deceive victims into disclosing personal information or login passwords. The attacker can access private accounts, steal information, or even perpetrate financial fraud once they have this data. Phishing assaults have increased in India, where the perpetrators frequently impersonate reputable organizations, such as banks or government offices, in order to trick their victims.  In India, identity theft is yet another common privacy violation. To impersonate someone, criminals take their personal information, including their Aadhaar number. They can start phony bank accounts, commit crimes, or make purchases using the victim's name using this stolen identity. This kind of privacy violation has become especially harmful to the victims, both financially and emotionally, as a result of the increased reliance on digital identification and financial systems.

Another important factor in privacy violations is social media. By excessively disclosing personal information on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, many Indians unwittingly jeopardize their privacy.  Social media breaches happen when hackers make use of publicly accessible information to obtain additional private information or coerce users into disclosing even more private information. Alarming facts support the growing trend of privacy breaches in India. Over 1.16 million cybercrimes were reported in India in 2020 alone, a large percentage of which entailed privacy breaches, according to recent data. Victims may suffer terrible financial and psychological costs, and the consequences are frequently permanent. Since more personal information is being kept online than ever before, there is a greater chance of breaches, which makes cybersecurity a critical concern for both individuals and companies. The effects of privacy violations are extensive. Individuals may experience financial loss, reputational harm, or identity theft as a result of data breaches. Knowing that criminals have access to their personal information frequently causes victims to feel anxious or distressed. The repercussions are just as bad for corporations. Legal issues, significant fines, and a decline in customer trust might result from a privacy violation. After a major breach, some businesses may be compelled to close since the harm to their brand is irreversible.

Preventive actions are crucial in the fight against privacy violations. People should exercise caution when using the internet by creating strong, one-of-a-kind passwords for every account, turning on two-factor authentication, and being careful about what they post on social media. In order to guard against vulnerabilities, it's also essential to update programs and software often. Businesses need to make investments in robust cybersecurity procedures, like encrypting confidential information, carrying out frequent security audits, and teaching staff members how to spot phishing scams.

In conclusion, privacy violations are becoming a bigger issue in India that impacts both people and businesses. The threats of cybercrimes will only rise as long as we continue to rely on digital platforms. We can reduce the possibility of falling victim to a privacy breach by being aware of the risks and adopting preventative measures to safeguard personal data. Keep yourself informed, remain safe, and safeguard your online privacy.

The man who gained fame without speaking a single word

Khabane Lame, or famously known as Khaby Lame, holds the title of the most-followed user on TikTok as of January 2025 (Ceci, 2025). He currently has 163 million followers on TikTok, 81.3 million followers on Instagram and 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel (Muñiz, 2024, p. para. 5). His life changed during the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, from losing his job to becoming a star. He first started uploading a bunch of videos on YouTube, which no one hardly watched (Forbes, 2023).

Then came the year 2020 where TikTok was one of the most downloaded apps (Jeb, 2025), Khaby decided to start making his content there. Not until the year 2021, where he found the right content to share on the platform. His unique style of comedy captured the public’s attention, wherein he records himself reacting to complex “life hacks” videos found on the internet. He mocked and busted the complicated hacks with his exaggerated gestures and facial expressions. Below are few examples of the videos he made (Weaver, 2022):

Apart from the life hack videos, he also created short comedy skits highlighting his expressive reactions without uttering a word — which later became a popular meme. Until it led him to companies asking for partnerships like Hugo Boss, Binance and Middle East bank QNB, Fortnite, and Statefarm (Bertoni, 2023, p. para. 4).

How Khaby Lame maintain and grow his fame is driven by several factors (Alarm, 2023, pp. para. 10 - 15):

Consistency – he regularly posts videos, ensuring his followers had fresh content to enjoy.

Authenticity – by remaining true to himself and his unique style.

Relatability – his content is based on real/everyday life situations which makes it easy for everyone to relate.

Engagement – he makes time to engaged with his followers by liking posts and responding to comments

By regular posting and sharing relatable contents, he was able to manage and grow his followers and at the same time, this is his way of engaging to people. Here are few examples:

All the factors given above makes sense as public are drawn to these. It is because most people turn to social media hoping for some entertainment after a long hard day of work. However, in today’s digital world where everyone shares anything and everything, one must explore and try new ideas for a content. Being different than the others sets you apart from the crowd which could help you find your audience. A relatable content always wins as it is easy for everyone to engage to something that they know or experience of. And when you finally found the right content, posting regularly could help you to boost and widen your audience. Lastly, enable to maintain your followers, you must make an engagement towards them. Responding and liking their comments make them feel valued, heard and part of the group.

Indeed, technology makes people lives easier. From our smart home devices or appliances to online shipping and delivery to making it easy to connect to anyone in any part of the world. There is still a lot to mention as to how technology makes our lives convenient. But as for this topic, because of technology there is social media. And social media makes it easier for anyone to connect to as many people worldwide. And because of democratization in the web, anyone has the power to contribute to someone’s fame. Just by following the account, viewing, liking or “reacting”, and/or sharing the post, you could help someone’s post reach a thousand miles. So, there might be a slim chance of him reaching fame without the support of social media. Unless you have connection in the industry, like being part of a family where there’s a celebrity or politician, it would be a heck of ride to get to the top.

I deleted my facebook and Instagram heres the aftermath two months later

So back in May of 2021 my Facebook account was hacked and the hacker enabled 2FA. I explain it in detail here. Basically, if this happens to your Facebook account its extremely unlikely you will be able to recover your account or data. Incredible to me that a billion-dollar company would not have more caution for users’ data in this instance. So, I decided that I would not be getting a new Facebook account and even used google plus as an interim (RIP google plus). I just could not get over that Facebook would not be able to recover me my account despite multiple attempts at verifying my identity. I honestly wish for the day Facebook goes the way of myspace, why did we ever turn our back on my space? Tom, customizable websites, HTML and CSS, top friends, music on your page, way better than Facebook profiles even today granted Facebook did have some major improvements but still myspace was a good website with a lot of nice custom features and we still traded it for Facebook. In a way I felt a personal grudge against Mark Zuckerberg but continued to support him thru WhatsApp and Instagram. Up until May 2023 I had Instagram and WhatsApp. After some careful thinking I decided that I would delete those accounts too. It was something that I thought about for a while as it is a pretty big decision, but I ultimately decided this was a net positive for me. In the two months since I can say I have no regrets deleting these social media accounts. I still have twitter, TikTok and snapchat but I spend far less time on those accounts than I ever did on Facebook or Instagram, even since deleting my time spent on those apps have not changed and overall, my screen time is down to 30% less than what it was when I had Instagram and Facebook. I am considering a full social media purge but have yet to go thru with that. I will say that there are out of the nearly 1000 accounts of combined followers and following accounts there are only a few dozen people who I genuinely miss seeing there updates and ease of contact, some people who i may sadly never see or speak to again, but otherwise it has made no difference in my social life. In general the people who I don’t see often seem more happy to see me since my digital replica isn’t accessible anymore and the same goes for the people I see often. I also think that some people think I blocked them or something else and took it personal, not realizing I deleted my account for my own personal reasons that did not include any particular individual. Deleting your social media account is a big decision that you have to make for yourself, I would recommend downloading any available data before doing so. I’d also recommend reaching out to a few people personally you’d like to keep in touch with or to write a farewell post (I did the former) before closing a huge avenue of social interaction. There are still some people who I did lose contact with but that’s life, it goes on. Ultimately for me I think it has been a good decision and is another thing to add to the list of changes I’ve made during my journey of personal development. I’ve had no regrets my screen time has gone down giving me time to do other things instead and I feel more present overall in my day-to-day life.

hey guys, long time no see!

this blog hasn't been updated for quite some time (my last post was on may 2021 😭) but i came back for a few reasons and i'll explain:

if you don't know yet, i'm brazilian and twitter/x was banned in my country because its owner refuse to respect our laws. i no longer have access to @bitnazone, which was an account dedicated to ashley. i was the only administrator, so the account is now permanently closed.

i also have an instagram account where i used to upload some laco edits i shared on my main twt account (ex @/ladiescodae, which i deactivated because trolls were hacking accounts to post hate speech and things like that).

honestly, i don’t plan on returning to twitter/x, even if it becomes available here again. i don't enjoy using it, i just kept the account because i love ashley and laco so much and i wanted to share this love with other lavelys.

anyways, i was trying to figure out a way to keep an account where i can talk about ladies' code and i'll use this blog as if i was on stan twt, so don't mind me if you suddenly see me babbling over here 🥹
