.
I’m  not one for surprises…
Because Valentine’s Day isn’t really our thing.
...
All I need is him.
.
.
Kise knows there aren’t any surprises waiting for him today.
No flowers.
No chocolates.
No cheesy love notes tucked on gifts carefully wrapped in fancy paper.
It just wasn’t their sort of thing, making a big fuss over the so-called day of hearts.
Daiki thinks it’s only a huge-ass gimmickry, the perfect ploy of flower shops and bakeries to wring out  bucks from people’s pockets, as if love can be stowed into something too ordinary and tangible, not to mention, something that’s store-bought.
“Besides,” Daiki tells him, midnight-blue eyes serious, unwavering, “...you always knew how I felt for you, these gifts are too overrated, anyway.”
So Kise learns to dismiss all sorts of expectations, when a dash of crimson sneaks into his periphery, a delivery guy bearing a bouquet of roses approaches his desk (guy’s been the fifth one to do so today, because Kise’s desk is closest to the office entrance).
No, it doesn’t affect Kise at all, that the person the delivery guy had asked for is his co-worker, Takao Kazunari, whose head had immediately perked up at the sound of his name. Seated from the far end of the room, Takao is quick on his heels, bouncing beside Kise to meet the delivery guy and claim his gift.
And Kise ignores the slight twinge of jealousy ripping in his chest when Takao sniffs the roses, pulls the note card out from the tiny envelope and claps a hand over his mouth to suppress a laugh at what he just read.
“What did it say?” Kise dares to ask, he’s only curious, and that’s just about it.
Takao turns to him, cheeks aflame, slate-blue eyes practically sparkling. “Oh, it’s just my prudish Shin-chan! I just find it too funny when he’s being sweet like this.”
With lifted chin, Takao shows Kise the message.
Happy Valentine’s Day, gorgeous. Tonight is all ours.
Kise lets out a chuckle, it doesn’t sound like Midorima at all, he probably chose from the message templates that the flower shop had offered, but still, Kise would give him props for being the thoughtful and sweet boyfriend for this occasion.
“Tee-hee, that’s the love of my life! Gotta thank St. Valentine, we get to experience the cheesy side of our emotionally-challenged boyfriends even for once,” Takao remarks.
Kise chews on the corner of his bottom lip and goes quiet with a nod. For years, Daiki and himself hardly do anything special during Valentine’s Day, it just kind of... got obscured by their daily routines and busy schedule, more so because Daiki has been duty-bound and is always on-call as a police officer. It gets to a point where Kise no longer cares about Valentine’s Day too, doesn’t give much thought to it, that it completely slips out of his mind, until he walks to his office today and notice the considerable number of flowers, balloons and other gifts adorning his co-worker’s tables.
It’s even worse when Valentine’s Day falls on his and Daiki’s workday, like today, for instance.  It gets ditched from their schedule altogether, in favor of other ludicrous activities such as getting groceries and stuff. Kise recalls not having to greet Daiki Happy Valentine’s earlier this morning before each of them left for work, he recalls that today will be spent just as ordinarily as the day before, there is nothing special, it’s just their laundry day.
So while other couples will be holding each other’s hands inside movie theaters later or having dinner at high-end restaurants or both, Kise can just look forward to... doing chores with Daiki.
How stupidly romantic and domesticated is that, Kise reflects.
Not wanting to be weighed down by such miserable thoughts, Kise schools his emotions just enough, lets up a forced smile to his lips as he turns his attention back to his friend.
“You know us, we just low-key celebrate because we’re both busy,” Kise tells Takao as he leans back against his chair, not quite sure if he just imagined the bitter aftertaste of the words in his mouth. “Just dinner at home and that’s it.”
“And wild sex,” Takao adds, casual and unabashedly audible, like they’re not anywhere near their other co-workers.
“Right, the sex,” Kise agrees, realizing that no one is paying attention to them. His friend is right, sex is his saving grace. That, at least, is something he can work on, bring Daiki into the mood and make him fuck Kise senseless tonight. With Daiki being a total beast in the sheets, maybe he’ll insist on using the handcuffs again…
“Now, now… I see your thoughts are seriously going astray!” Takao laughs, shoulders bobbing up and down.
Kise’s face grows warmer. “No, I was just thinking about what I’m supposed to cook for dinner.”
“You are the lousiest liar!”
“Am not!”
“Ahem!”
Kise and Takao both turn their heads towards their brunet co-worker, Oikawa Tooru. If looks could gut, both he and Takao will be bleeding immensely on the floor by now, Kise thinks.
“In case you two haven’t noticed, people are working here and we’re not interested in your sexcapades!” Oikawa hisses, a dour expression on his face.
“Talk to you later, Single’s Awareness Day hits some of us hard,” Takao whispers with a wink.
Kise watches as Takao sashays back to his desk grinning from ear to ear, admiring the rose bouquet he got.  From the corner of his eye, Kise steals a glance at Oikawa, the Salt of Valentine’s Day, already typing furiously on his computer. Smiling to himself, Kise thanks his lucky stars, he might have no gifts waiting for him today but at least, he’s got a boyfriend who can keep him warm tonight, unlike Oikawa who’s been on a prolonged sullen mood, having been single for almost half a year, all alone on the day of hearts.
Kise reverts his attention to his PC screen and gets himself to work. He skims through thick pages of printed documents, sends emails and makes several long phone calls to clients and other associates to distract himself.
However, time trickles away, unbelievably slow and harrowing, and the pensive mood grows, sinking deeper and deeper within him, it’s almost impossible to overlook.
Kise tries not to overthink these matters even as several more delivery guys came in with flowers or cakes for his other colleagues.
He tunes out the hushed words of affection from his co-workers, sweet nothings whispered over the phone to their significant others. Grabbing his own phone, Kise takes a selfie with the brightest smile he can possibly muster at the moment, sends it with a quick text to Daiki, I miss you so much.
Hours went by. Daiki doesn’t reply.
.
Then comes the biggest discovery of Kise’s day.
Intending to replenish his stock of paper clips, Kise walks into the supplies room and hears suspicious noises, rattling the shelves somewhere. And he knows he can’t be wrong, because right there behind one of the steel cabinets, there’s Oikawa, oblivious to the world around him, too busy making out with the tall, broad-shouldered guy from the IT department, Ushijima-san. If Kise’s memory serves him right, Oikawa has been bad mouthing the poor guy non-stop since time immemorial, and now this.
Careful as not to burst Oikawa’s little bubble of fun, Kise retreats quietly from the supplies room, biting his lips to keep himself from laughing out loud at the irony of it all. He can’t wait to share the juicy news with Takao.
And when Oikawa bounces back to his office chair a few minutes later, he’s humming a soft tune under his breath and he’s noticeably less catty--the sly little bitch is flushed pink, the glow in his hazel eyes unmistakable. Further observing the brunet, Kise feels genuinely happy for Oikawa and then somehow, feels himself missing Daiki even more. For the gazillionth time, he checks his phone for any message though he knows, he knows…
...Daiki is just not that kind of guy.
And for all of Daiki’s shortcomings, Kise still loves him, all of him.
To cheer himself a little, he pulls up the gallery app from his phone, browsing and swiping through the countless saved pictures of Daiki. Shortly after, Kise finds himself smiling, and he tells himself not to sweat over the trivial stuff.
.
.
When Kise’s shift ends, he’s surprised to see Daiki already waiting for him outside the office. Kise finds him leaning casually against his black vintage Mazda, arms crossed over his chest, the first three buttons of his police uniform undone, his sexy smirk well in place and it makes Kise swoon, heartbeat accelerating.
“Hey,” Daiki says, hooking an arm around Kise’s waist. His other hand climbs up and trails the side of Kise’s face, a thumb softly grazing Kise’s cheek and for a moment, Daiki pauses, an affectionate gaze pulling Kise into the depths of his midnight-blue eyes, before leaning down to catch Kise’s lips on his.
Daiki doesn’t bring him flowers but then, Daiki doesn't really need to...
Closing his eyes, Kise lets himself melt into Daiki, everything becoming clear as crystal as he savors Daiki's presence. In that moment, Kise feels thoroughly ashamed for dwelling over thoughts of self-pity, yearning for words, for gifts that mean so little compared to all the years they spent growing together, the moments in between their shared lives, Daiki always rooting for him, challenging him, seeing the best in him, always fanning the flames of passion in his heart.
All Kise has ever needed is right there in front of him.
Celebrating Valentine’s Day isn’t really their thing. They have their own version of romantic, only it’s not anywhere under the spotlight of typical couple venues, of fine-dine restaurants, movie houses or concert halls.
And Kise concludes, they’re never the typical couple, anyway.
Today is laundry day, he and Daiki are doing it together just as they did on the weeks before, on all the years since the two of them decided to move in under one roof.
At the laundromat just a short walk from their apartment, Kise slips a few coins into the money slot of one of the washing machines before pouring detergent and fabric conditioner into the drawer while Daiki sorts the soiled clothes on a nearby table.
“Whites first,” Kise says. Obediently, Daiki hands him socks and shirts, few pieces at a time, while Kise tosses them inside the washing machine. Kise bends his knees a bit, peering into the opening, one of his hands pushing several pieces of clothing further inside the machine. He gestures for Daiki to hand him more clothing, his free arm stretched out towards Daiki behind him.
“Towels now...”
And instead of soft fabric, Daiki has put something else on the palm of Kise’s hand. Turning his head, he sees that Daiki has given him—
A small white box.
Next, Kise’s eyes are blown wide.
A glimmer of something small and precious, a golden ring inside.
“What—” Kise’s heart stutters, as also his tongue; all  the words, the question, the awe remains trapped behind his throat.
“Roses are expensive, so I got you this instead.”
Taking one of Kise’s hands, Daiki gets down on one knee. Then Kise hears the words, the only words he never thought he’s  been longing to hear all his life until now.
“I want to spend every Valentine’s Day with you, the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me, Kise Ryouta?”
Kise revels at the rich, honeyed baritone of Daiki’s voice, and for the briefest of moments, a flood of emotions well up in his heart, bringing with it fond memories that he and Daiki had weaved together over the years, starting from the instant that the ball had hit the back of Kise's head during middle school. They sweep across Kise’s mind, and he lets himself be buoyed through the bliss, through the turbulence of being endlessly in love with Daiki.
“Aho. You could’ve picked out a finer place to propose to me instead of here,” Kise whines. Not that he's complaining, he just can't believe this is all happening right now. With his heart drumming so hard in his chest, he worries that he’s gonna fall, he's so sure his knees have already turned into jelly.
“I want to surprise you,” Daiki says, gently squeezing Kise's hand. There's a very visible shade of red on Daiki's cheeks which Kise finds too adorable, and Kise feels proud he's the reason Daiki is blushing like that.
“You did a great job.”
“So it’s a yes?”
Kise grips Daiki’s hand and pulls him up from the floor. “Yes, of course, I’ll marry you, aho! In this life and in the next and the next!”
“You’re a cheesy shit.”
“And you want to marry this cheesy shit!”
As soon as Daiki slips the ring around his finger, Kise wraps his arms around Daiki’s neck, pulling his soon-to-be-husband by the nape, colliding their lips together in a kiss.
The ring grows infinitely warmer against Kise’s skin as he feels Daiki smiling in his mouth.

WIP Challenge
Rules: "post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have wips. I have deemed that this isn’t just for writing either. Sketch titles? Comics? Dnd campaigns? If you have an unfinished project, it counts!!"
if y'all're familiar with my ways, i rarely follow all the rules therefore i will only tag a few, no way as many as my wips (and i'm not actually going to bother posting all my wip titles)
also i'm adding my own fun twist, italicised wip titles will be those of works i have completed & published on my ao3 and for those y'all can try to guess which published work they are for (and i'll try to provide a random fact about it from when i was writing it)

The Complete Month-By-Month Retail Calendar For Online Sellers 2020 (Part 1)
Holidays are a golden opportunity for businesses all over the world to boost their sales and drive more revenue. In fact, one of the simplest ways to set yourself up for success in 2020 is to plan out your sales and marketing initiatives around the key retail calendar dates for the year.
Tumblr media
But what are these dates? To make life easier for you, we’ve listed them all out month-by-month, so that you can start planning your promotional campaigns ahead of time. January: Happy New Year The first month of the year is perhaps the gloomiest of them all, with shoppers on the Christmas-comedown. But there’s definitely an opportunity to lift their spirits with January sales and Blue Monday special offers. New Year’s Day, 1st– The beginning of the year for many people brings a chance to start afresh and make New Year’s resolutions they hope to stick to. So, kick off the new year with deals that promote health and wellbeing and find ways to get customers involved. Decorations officially come down, 6th– Time to say goodbye to Christmas for another year. Take down your decorations and make room for new stock. January sales, all month – The perfect opportunity to shift leftover stock ready for the new year. Customers will be expecting great savings and looking to grab a bargain. Blue Monday, 20th – So-called Blue Monday is known for being the most depressing day of the year. This is going to be an important date in your retail calendar for lifting your customers’ spirits and giving them something to smile about. Prime example: Boost Drinks’ Blue Monday Twitter campaign Boost Drinks used the power of social media to engage its audience in a competition and unite on the most miserable day of the year. The concept was simple, but it really got people talking and engaging with the brand, with the messaging, “Forget Blue Mondays and bring on Blue Fundays. Watch this space for the Boost Wheel of Fortune!”. It’s important to always remember who your audience are and which platform they’d best respond to. A social media campaign on Twitter might work great for one audience but not another. February: The month of love Goodbye Blue Monday and hello the month of love. February holds many key dates but arguably the most important for online retailers is Valentine’s Day. This is a chance to capitalize on all the loved-up couples out there, while making sure the single among us don’t get forgotten. Six Nations Championship, 1st– February isn’t all about love…The first day of the month and the first day of a major sporting event. This is a great opportunity to get your customers involved and social media is the perfect platform here. Create hashtags, run polls and encourage conversation. Valentine’s Day, 14th– The big one. Whatever your industry, Valentine’s Day is a date to be aware of. Engage with your customers and promote special offers. Encourage people to share their stories and plans on social too. Prime example: Deliveroo’s Valentine’s Day TV advertising campaign As it’s such a major date in retailers’ calendars, it’s easy to fall into the trap of love hearts and roses, instead of thinking outside the box. But this is a great chance to really stand out from the crowd and captivate your audience, just like Deliveroo did. They carried out a “third wheel survey” questioning 200 adults and found out that 37% of couples would actually enjoy having a third person at the dinner table on Valentine’s Day. They used this research to create a highly effective TV ad and social media campaign #ThirdWheelKevin, offering its customers a “third wheel meal deal”. The fact that they took a totally different approach to everyone else, and made it funny, meant they really resonated with their target audience and pulled off a highly successful marketing campaign. March: Hello spring Spring is here, and with it comes a whole host of new sales opportunities and key retail dates to focus your marketing efforts on. March signifies a change in mood, as the days become lighter and the trees become greener – it’s the perfect time to take advantage of this new-found optimism among your buyers. St David’s Day, 1st– The first big date for your diary celebrates all things Wales. Try to think of interesting ways you could show your support as a business. What industry could you get involved in – Welsh literature, music, food? World Book Day, 7th– World Book Day is a conversation every business should be having. It’s a chance to show your customers what inspires you, what you stand for, and even show them a slightly different side to you. Share your favorite books and encourage customers to participate in a quiz or competition. International Women’s Day, 8th– This is a very important date for your retail calendar, and an opportunity to celebrate the influential women in your business and worldwide. Demonstrate to your customers what a great company you are. St Patrick’s Day, 17th– For retailers across the globe, St Patrick’s Day is an untapped pot of gold. Could you offer a special Paddy’s Day collection, promotion, event? Make sure to utilize the power of social media as there will be a huge amount of buzz around the hashtags #PaddysDay and #StPatricksDay in particular. First day of spring, 20th– The start of a new season is the perfect time to launch new products or implement new features – particularly if you’re in the Fashion or Health and Beauty industry. Create hype around these changes in your marketing campaigns and focus on getting loyal customers to share their feedback. Mother’s Day, 31st– Another major date for March. Mother’s Day is a prime opportunity for creating your own gift-sets, up-selling and building your brand image, trust and awareness. Selling gifts? Plan your sales and marketing strategy in advance to get ahead of the game. Prime example:Pandora’s Mother’s Day email campaign Pandora shows us how it’s done with a series of Mother’s Day promotions via a drip email campaign. They sent out an initial email a few weeks in advance, which offered customers some great gift ideas from their ‘Heartfelt Jewellery’ collection. This was followed by a second email which focused more on the brand’s special offer for the occasion. Customers already had the gift ideas in mind from the first email, and then when they received the second email with a special offer for Mother’s Day, they would have felt more inclined to act. The key here is in the planning. Especially for a major date like Mother’s Day, it’s important to have a clear strategy in place. Pandora’s Mother’s Day email campaign April: Easter bank holiday April is well known for the Easter bank holiday weekend and April Fool’s Day, but don’t forget about Earth Day for a chance to promote your eco-friendliness as a company. The long weekend brings with it a whole host of sales opportunities for a wide range of retail industries, and the London Marathon is a major event to take advantage of too. April Fool’s Day, 1st– A time for jokes, prank calls and party gifts, but also a time for online retailers to have a bit of fun with their audience. Grab their attention and get people talking with a hilarious (yet clever) marketing campaign. Good Friday, 19th– The start of the bank holiday weekend. Many people will be in high spirits and getting their food shop in ready for Easter Sunday. Capitalize on this good mood amongst your buyers and make the most of social media engagement. Easter Sunday, 21st– Online Easter egg hunts, competitions and special Easter deals will work well here. Think outside the box and try to engage your audience in a unique way. Consider how your audience will be spending the long weekend. Earth Day, 22nd– Don’t forget about Mother Nature. Earth Day is a great opportunity to reach all your green-minded buyers. Put greater emphasis on your eco-friendly, reusable and recycled products, and demonstrate your brand values on topics such as Global Warming. 2020 ECommerce Holiday Marketing Calendar: Dates and Events to Use in Your  Campaigns St George’s Day, 23rd– Celebrate your English heritage as a business and give your audience an insight into your history. Encourage your audience to share their stories on social media. London Marathon, 28th– The London Marathon is a huge sporting event with 40,255 runners taking part in 2018. Could you sponsor a runner and their chosen charity or show your support in another way? For example, if you’re in the sporting equipment industry, you could create ‘survival kits’ for the runners or publish helpful articles in the lead up to the event. Prime example:Hotel Chocolat’s Easter social media campaign Hotel Chocolat of course celebrated Easter in style with a well-thought-out social media campaign. The “Beau Bunny” is a recurring campaign for Hotel Chocolat, which makes it memorable and provides a strong brand image. A well-dressed bunny rabbit hopped about different mystery locations across the country and asked the public to fill out an online form (data capture, tick) and guess the location, in a bid to win an array of Hotel Chocolat products. The competition ran on their website and across social media, featuring the hashtag #beaubunny. The campaign generated new leads, loyal fans of the “bunny from the burrows” and great user content. It was a fun, quirky and engaging way to celebrate Easter. Hotel Chocolat’s Easter social media campaign May: Wedding season begins There’s a huge up-kick in shoppers actively looking for wedding gifts, clothing, accessories and travel accommodation starting in May. Make sure you take full advantage of this by offering helpful information, incentives to buy and promoting your high value products. As well as the start of wedding season, there’s also two more bank holidays to prepare for. Wedding season begins, 1st– The sun has barely peaked from behind the clouds and already the weddings start rolling in. This is a big opportunity for online retailers, whether you’re in the wedding industry or not. Promote relevant gift ideas and consider re-marketing possibilities using social media. Star Wars Day, 4th– “May the Fourth be with you!” It’s not exactly a ‘key’ retail date for your ecommerce calendar 2020 but it’s a chance to have a bit of fun on social media and get your audience involved. May bank holidays, 6th/27th– Everyone loves May for two reasons…two bank holidays! As well as a time for going out and enjoying yourself, many consumers will be gearing up to make bigger purchases in anticipation of big discounts from retailers. This is an important date for retailers selling homeware, electronics or DIY tools in particular. Prime example:B&Q’s “DIY” bank holiday TV advertising campaign B&Q capitalised on the DIY trend over the May bank holidays with a series of transformation TV adverts focused on bathrooms. The campaign aimed to further establish B&Q as the leader in DIY home improvement, using their own orange-aproned staff to rescue a family bathroom not currently working for their busy lives. The “Calm the Chaos” ad demonstrated how B&Q can transform your bathroom to make life as easy as possible. B&Q were able to relate to their target audience and boost sales over a busy period for DIY-ers with a slick advert and clear message. But you don’t need a TV budget to take inspiration from B&Q and achieve a similar marketing campaign around the bank holidays. B&Q - Bathrooms from WCRS on Vimeo. June: Summer is here Time to turn your attention to summer. For many eCommerce retailers this will mean a pre-summer sale in time for new season stock, and a marketing campaign to attract holiday-makers. Father’s Day is another great gifting opportunity to take advantage of and social media will play a vital role in reaching your audience and driving up sales here. Father’s Day, 16th– Father’s Day is a great opportunity for capitalizing on gift-giving and establishing your brand image. Consider your products and audience and decide the best way to get your message across e.g. traditional, novelty, premium? Summer Solstice (longest day), 21st– A time for summer holidays and BBQ’s! If you’re in any way related to the travel and tourism industry, you’ll want to ensure you have a strong sales and marketing strategy ready to really make the most of the sunshine season. Armed Forces Day, 29th– Get involved with events takings place across the whole of the UK to mark the occasion and pay tribute to the bravery and professionalism of our soldiers on social media. Prime example: Glenlivet’s personalized Father’s Day Facebook campaign Glenlivet used Facebook to deliver a highly effective campaign, in order to launch their new ‘Founder’s Reserve’ in time for Father’s Day. They managed to combine an interactive and personalized experience with the power of social media to engage gift-givers and whiskey-loving Dads. Users were able to personalize their bottle label and then send as a gift or send a free miniature. The campaign centered around the message “#CheersDad, thanks for everything.” This award-winning campaign established a new product range with an 11% sales uplift and had Dad’s up and down the country raising a glass to Glenlivet.

Showing Some Love: 7 Sweet B2C Valentine’s Day Marketing Examples
While Valentine’s Day has been traditionally known as the day couples honor their love and affection for one another, it’s turned into the fourth-largest shopping day of the year with attached and unattached consumers making holiday purchases for the special people in their lives.
As a result, smart B2C brands and marketers are upping their Valentine’s Day marketing game by getting creative to tap into new audiences, boost awareness and drive sales.
With that said and in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, below we share some clever, sweet and endearing Valentine’s Day marketing examples from B2C brands.
#1 – M&M’s
Chocolate is arguably one of the top go-to Valentine’s Day gift items. But with probably thousands of options to choose from, candy makers face some stiff competition.
In this short and sweet Facebook video, M&M’s has a simple message for all: Share your love this Valentine’s Day by sharing some M&M’s. While M&M’s is a household name, they took advantage of native video and social advertising to create something eye-catching and capitalize on the V-Day holiday.
#2 – CVS Pharmacy
If you’re a “Parks & Recreation” fan, then you probably already know about Galentine’s Day. If you’re not familiar, Galentine’s Day—celebrated on Feb. 13—is all about celebrating the love between lady friends.
In this adorable promoted tweet, CVS pharmacy is evoking precious childhood memories when many of us girls loved playing dress up.
#3 – BeCharming.com
In an attempt to share a little joy, inspiration and love around Valentine’s Day—as well as encourage engagement—BeCharming.com invited their customers and social media followers to share their love stories for a chance to win a special, love-themed PANDORA charm.
Dubbed the “Share Your Love Story” contest, people shared touching stories about their significant other, best friends and special family bonds such as that between a mother and a daughter.
#4 – Maserati North America
Maserati is certainly taking advantage of the Valentine’s Day holiday to associate their high-end luxury line of vehicles with the beauty, devotion and excitement that love can bring. These tweets featuring loving phrases and eye-catching images are simple yet powerful.
#5 – Bath & Body Works
Email marketing is one of the top-converting channels for many brands. However, many consumers get several promotional emails from their favorite brands each day—which means subject lines need to stand out to get the click and kick-start a potential sale.
For me, this email from Bath & Body Works is a fantastic example. The subject line reads: “Sweet-NOTHINGS for tomorrow? Don’t panic! Get $10 off!” It uses a cute play on a loving phrase, signals that there is still time to buy something great and there’s an incentive.
#6 – Uncommon Goods
Consumers are more self-directed than ever before, often turning to search engines to guide their research and find quick answers.  As a result, combining SEO with content that meets search intent and creates a great user-experience is key.
Uncommon Goods hit the nail on the head this Valentine’s Day season, creating a Valentine’s Day Gift Guide driven by SEO—ranking them high in search results for the phrase “Valentine’s Day Gifts”—and helpful content that’s easy to consume and peruse.
#7 – Dunkin’ Donuts
Dunkin’ Donuts is transforming their long-time “America runs on Dunkin’” slogan to “Love Runs on Dunkin’” this Valentine’s Day. It’s #DunkinLoveContest on Instagram asks fans to share how their donut chain is part of their relationship—whether it be big or small.
And that’s not all. While contest submissions are being gathered on Instagram, the company is promoting it across its social media channels with messaging tailored that unique audience.
As another facet of the company’s Valentine’s Day campaign, they’re also plugging their heart-shaped donuts and holiday drinks through delectable looking photos and how-to videos, and they’ve also launched a stickers and V-Day card builder app.
What unique, creative or sentimental Valentine’s Day marketing has caught your eye? Tell us in the comments section.
