It was doing a thriving business, and no wonder—the weather had taken a turn for the chill as winter encroached. “Wrong part of the city,” the Wraith said. “You want expensive imported sweets, go across the river.” Sorrow twitched his tail thoughtfully, taking care to accidentally catch the Wraith in the back of one booted calf. “So if one were able to provide a cheaper manner of import for such a thing, one might find a rather profitable gap in the market.” “One might. You would not,” the Wraith said. Sorrow laughed. “You’d be surprised where I can fit myself, k’zat avrai. I’m rather flexible.”

[If this invitations reaches more than 20 notes the 23rd of December, the Saturday before Christmas, we’re going to try to have a Cuphead RP community event. A fancy ball to celebrate the festivities and have some fun all together!

The ball is open for any Cuphead-related character - and with that I mean a canons, AUs, OCs, a muse from another fandom with a Cuphead verse... as long as it’s a Toon in Inkwell, they can partecipate!

Some rules to whoever wants to partecipate:

reblog this post by the 21th of December if you want to be part of this event! I’d like to make it as big as possible, and only by spreading the word we’d get to make it noticed by as many people as possible!

the ball is going to be in a fancy hotel in Isle Three, so it would be nice if your muse wore some fancy dress as well! ;> I’d love to see them all!!!

the Ball will officially start at Midnight on the 23rd, following my time (Rome +1), and it will go on as long as it’s the 23rd anywhere in the world. Because timezones won’t stop us from celebrating!

We’re going to track the tag ‘Inkwell’s Winter Ball’! From the moment you reblog this post, you’re allowed to fill it with whatever you want!!

Inkwell ball- Open Starter!

Ok, so this probably wasn’t a normal sight.

A balloon vendor in a top hat and tuxedo, carrying a box overflowing with mistletoe, being chased by none other than Beppi in a dress.

He knew, he just knew she would bring more of that stuff to this place. It was a little funny at first but now he was just cross.

“FRAN! For the love of god get back here! There’s already enough hung up, y’ain’t puttin’ any more in this place!” She turns around at his words, mouth cracking open as she stuck her tongue out in jest.

But it seems not looking where you’re going in a ball full of people isn’t the best idea. The vendor slammed head first into another guest, box being thrown into the air as the contents were spilled all over the unlucky roadblock.

Uh oh.

((Happy Holidays folks! I’m posting this ahead of the Inkwell Winter Ball because this is an invitation! Read on to find out more…

I will be doing a few pics of Nate dancing with people who ask him! I am already planning on doing four for a few friends (and if you’re paying attention, it’s clear who they are). But I’d be glad to do a few more. So, here’s how it’s gonna work!

If you’d like your character to dance with Nate, you’ll need to submit a reference for your character’s Winter Ball attire (remember: it’s a formal event!) and ask Nate to dance; Nate doesn’t need to be present in the image, but you can include him if you’d like to. Nate will dance with anyone of any gender, so if you have a male or non-binary character, you are welcome to participate! I will close my submission box on Sunday the 10th at noon my time, so that gives you a week to sketch something up! Since I always do my art in black and white, you don’t have to worry about color if you don’t want to! All I ask is that your reference be clear and well defined; bigger, cleaner pictures are preferred to smaller, sketchier ones. I will queue posts up for the 23rd as I finish them.

Once the submission period closes, I’ll select the dance partners at random. I will do my best to get as many done as I can before the 23rd, but please don’t feel put out if you don’t get a picture; I will be posting and promo-ing all submissions, including a mass post of everyone who didn’t receive a dance, so you can get some proper credit!

Of course, the usual rule of appropriateness stands: any submission that I deem inappropriate (ie, too sexual, racist, prejudiced, etc) will not be shared in the mass post. What’s more, I will not be accepting any submissions from canon Cuphead character blogs; this is an OC exclusive invitation. Finally, the character MUST BE YOUR OWN. If I receive any submissions from characters who I know don’t belong to the person submitting them, I will be delete them.
