This is my gift to myself :) I drew my favorite guys ever.

For a while I've been itching to draw the wedding outfits from this post again. I made them up on the fly as I was drawing, but I actually really like how they ended up turning out. They're super cute!! (though, yet again, you can't see almost any part of Dedede's outfit... 💔)

But then I couldn't get it out of my head to make a companion piece for it, with their mirror versions. And so. I did. What they have going on is a little bit messy, though...

#kirby #kirby series #meta knight #king dedede #metadede #dark meta knight #shadow dedede #mirror metadede #i do like mirror mtdd. like a lot. but poor planning ahead with hcs and ocs caused them to end up. kind of doomed in my thing lol #maybe i'll go in depth about it one day. as much as i can anyway. i haven't fully figured it out myself #my art #couple details:#mk's tooth gaps are probably one of my favorite parts of his drawing. they're just so cute i'm so glad i knocked his teeth out #while mtdd is on Non Descript Happy Place mirror mtdd is specifically in the dimension mirror level from katam and ktd #just slightly. sparklier and shinier. because that's just how i do things. and without the buildings #i did try to add them but it made everything busier than it already was #mirror mtdd's faces are obscured on purpose but if you look closely you can catch a peek of dmk's expression through his veil #which! it's meant to be kind of like a widow's veil.. symbolism and what not #i couldn't think of what the opposite of a star was so i did hearts (for the plating. cheeks. and pauldrons)#i fucked up the rings.. because i got my lefts and rights confused..#but i kept it Anyway because it looked cool. i'm sorry though it's so annoying once you notice #i still have the flats and a better look at ddd's outfit (and a Little of sddd's face)#so maybe i'll post that later #i think that's about it #i'm 20 today :) sigh. the passage of time #god the way this has been crunched sickens me. don't look closer actually

#the legend of zelda #echoes of wisdom #the owl house #in stars and time #omori #loz #loz eow #zelda #toh #isat #josh art tag #this was really fun!! also kinda infuriating at times lol #owl house was verrry difficult for me as the proportions were so strange and the lines had to be precise and consistent #and omori was surprisingly hard!!#at first i was gonna do a real world portrait but the colors looked horriblr #and i decided it would be more fun to do headspace colors anyway #but then i still had trouble! i blame omori's inconsistent art #at first i didnt color it like the dialogue portraits and instead like official art #so she had basil's teal hair and had white skin and i had to try to guess a blue color for the cloak #but with those colors i didnt knoe how to shade it #so i went to the dialogue portrait style #and i almost left the hair to be just that blank color since anything else on the portraits that werent purple were blank #but then i decided to go the basil portrait route and color her hair at the ends and with blue #way too much grief for such a simple style...#and the face is kinda wonky but i wasnt gonna go back and fix it #anyway shoutout to isat for being the most fun and least difficult #honestly thought it was gonna be the hardest #but nope!#also the fact that that style is monochrome was so nice cuz gosh colors were hard for the other 2

Not thinking about how while Sonic and Knuckles are worried about Tom and keep looking at him and Maddie concerningly as they take him to the hospital Tails just keeps glancing at Sonic because the little guy just knew that his big bro was absolutely wrecked and wanted to be there to comfort him

I feel because of Jinx and Viktor’s popularity in fandom (having some of the most annoying fans in Arcane fandom) and the attention they receive in the show itself, people forget/don’t realise how bad they were done by the writers in s2

#saying this as someone who had thought jayce was reasonable for killing viktor in s2 #the way they stripped all nuance from viktor’s actions and made jayce 100% right and the arcane/glorious evolution instead of highly flawed #and morally dubious/neutral #into just bad and wrong(tm)#was weird. it was weird.#i don’t want to compare to league because i do think adaptations should be judged on themselves for the most part #and i’m not too familiar.#but i think the ending should have been left open. like let piltover and zaun still be at war and the characters finding their place in that #also escalation from misguidedly transforming unwitting but willing people to viktor just deciding to turn everyone into an emotionless robo #was weird too #someone smarter than me do a deep dive idek #everyone became a centrist when faced with the true enemy; extremist zaunite (but like not even for zaun)#its not that i wanted viktor to be innocent. his actions in act 2 were morally dubious and he was destined to become darker and more extreme #but the way they did it was weird #and the way they resolved his character. it just feel so half-assed if you look past how emotionally charged and beautiful it was #do not even get me started on jinx… the ‘jinx is alive’ theory better be real because that’s the only way to salvage her character #but like i think they handled her character terribly for all of act 3 #i think ekko and mel were done dirty in the way characters like lucas in st were. but i won’t get into that rn #jayce and vi also kinda felt reduced to their relationships…#arcane s2 act 3 #arcane critical #arcane criticism #arcane #arcane season 2 #arcane s2 #viktor arcane #viktor #jinx arcane #jinx

yeah, Jin is a welcome pull, but a pretty weird one! I saw the post when it dropped (don't ask why I was looking at twitter at 3 AM) and the replies were. very confused. :') nice to see some Jin rep though! and if this opens the door to characters based on more deepcut riders, all the better!
