Me: not unless everyone gets real cool about a bunch of stuff really quickly
#no grandma i don’t think you want to read my outline for a romance novel in which two rival tennis players have to pretend to be friends#to save face after footage of one of them ranting about the other and accusing him of being a homophobe is leaked online and goes viral#and they end up falling in love#and you Definitely don’t want to put two and two together and realise that the tennis documentary we’re watching reminded me of this idea#that i had but summarily abandoned because i couldn’t decide how to begin#i mean sooner or later i am going to finish it because it is the single most fun project i’ve ever worked on#but it’s also something i really need to sit with and flesh out because a realistic tennis story is SO dependent on consistency#in regards to playing styles; statistics; plus stuff like timings of tournaments; player rankings…#i just don’t want to give someone a one handed backhand and then have them gripping the handle with both hands on a backhand return#these are just excuses though#i’ll get back to it. i will. i think at this point i just need to power through my writer’s block#personal
