the higher-ups (and Yaga) immediately trying to leverage Gojo & Ieri's absence to put Yuuta on the roster??? God that's such a stark moment. Thank god Nanami and Gojo saw through that one immediately, because Yuuta wants to justify his own survival so badly he would've fallen straight into it.

That whole scene, with Yuuta immediately jumping on the opportunity to help people even though something is Extremely Wrong with him and he's on the brink of physical collapse--this boy is selfless to the point of self destruction and I am chewing the drywall about it. I love him so much.

If only he was able to summon his newly found homicidal rage in defense of himself, the higher-ups would no longer be a problem. Alas, this boy is Extremely Unwell.

(Sea Glass Gardens is absolutely incredible and i am obsessed with it in a way that is totally and 100% normal. I'm so normal about it, trust me <3 )

The thing about Yuuta is that he really is prime to be taken advantage of right now and the higher ups know it. They had him try to kill himself for them--they know that there's a window of opportunity that they can use to get him under their thumb and avoid The Problem of Gojo, which is, namely, having a human weapon who you cannot fully control. Gojo nailed it from the beginning: they want a magic gatling gun with no personality or free will. They learned their lesson with Gojo and are trying to rob Yuuta of his agency before he learns how to protect himself.

And Yaga's part in that scene really was meant to kind of emphasize how, even with the best intention's, he just doesn't work to protect the kids. Like. everything he said was technically true, and he meant it with the best of intentions. He's the guy who has to think of everyone's needs. he has to manage this crisis. he's got a lot of people hurt badly who just came out of a war, and a lot of people going into fights with some very aggravated curses spawning without sufficient manpower to address the danger and no healer to save them if they cut it a little too close. He didn't have the intention of manipulating or sacrificing Yuuta, but he was aware that it would come to his detriment and risk.

The issue is the higher ups. They don't give a shit about the people in their workforce. They should be the ones doing whatever it takes to solve this crisis and save their people--and if that means giving up on their machinations? They should have already done it. It's their responsibility.

They just don't care. They want Okkotsu Yuuta under their thumb, and their society hemorrhaging is treated like an opportunity, not a dire problem to be solved. They don't care if half a dozen of their own people need to die to do it. Hell, it's better if they do die--they can put it straight on Okkotsu for not being willing to sacrifice himself, when they should have been making whatever promises they had to in order to make this work.

Gojo's done this before, is the thing. He was Yuuta, a long time ago. Nanami was right there watching it happen. They both know what the higher ups do: They let society get to a crisis level and put all the responsibility on you to save it. they let you maneuver yourself into a vulnerable position as a result, and then they use it as leverage to put their goddamn boot on your neck.

The thing is that Gojo adopting megumi all those years ago really did put them into a crisis state. the zenin pitched the mother of all bitch fits trying to secure his unconditional return, and they were a huge percentage of jujutsu society's labor force and resource pools. instead of the higher ups managing the problem at all, they took advantage of the situation and shoved more and more of its weight and responsibility onto gojo, until he was dropping off his own kid at his abusers' compound thinking it was the only compromise that could resolve things. megumi paid the price for gojo not calling bullshit, and right now, with him in a hospital bed? gojo's less willing to repeat mistakes than ever.

he knows that they're going to use the safety and suffering of everyone else as the leverage against him, and he knows that as terrible as it is, he cannot blink first. He's played this game before, and he knows that the only way to get the higher ups to back off on something like this is to dig in your heels.

I think what happened to Megumi all those years ago and how bad it got before they put a stop to it is something that haunts all three of them. When they first started raising him, they were very young, and they were very broken, and they loved him very, very much. He was their little boy, and he was never the same after the Zenin. They were supposed to protect him, and they didn't, and not a single one of them has forgiven themselves for that.

Megumi was sort of sacrificed for the greater good when he was a kid. None of them thought that that was what they were doing when it happened, but that's what happened. His happiness, safety, and wellbeing were sacrificed to pacify the Zenin and make it easier on everyone else.

Megumi and Tsumiki had to become their non-negotiables after. They had to become the things they refused to compromise on. The Zenin would take miles and miles if you gave them a millimeter, let alone an inch.

Gojo didn't think he was compromising them when he left them on their own to deal with Geto's war. They were disgustingly self-sufficient kids. They had been alone for longer stretches of time when they were practically toddlers--they should have been fine on their own for a couple of weeks.

But they were still his kids, and he still left them alone for everyone else's sake, and now his kid is blind and half dead in a hospital bed. It's like being punched in the face by old mistakes.

So they're off the roster completely, all of them. And they're not compromising an inch on what their focus is, and they're not letting anything happen to any of the other kids in their care.

It's terrible that their coworkers are suffering, but it wouldn't be happening if the Zenin hadn't fucked with Gojo Satoru's kid, of all the goddamn people. It wouldn't be happening if the higher ups would actually do their job and start managing shit.

And if they use Yuuta as an anxiety riddled bandaid on the bullet hole in their society? Then they'd be sacrificing him the way they sacrificed Megumi all those years ago. And they have never been less willing to do that.

Yuuji:

• He loves to have someone that is enthusiastic about food

• Loves to look at you when you eat or cook something ♡

• He is not picky with food so he will eat anything with you

• Yuuji will let you use him as in, taste the food before you, to see if its edible (if it's some weird food you found maybe) . We know he is not afraid to eat even a finger

• Will try to cook something fancy and do a horrible job (sorry)

• You both eat it and enjoy it anyway

Megumi:

• Never paid much attention to food until he met you. He now appreciates the value of a good meal

• He will always give you a piece of whatever he is having, even if you don’t ask for it

• Cooking together? Yes

• He doesn’t really like sweets but you make him eat some anyway. He just lets you feed them to him (won’t admit he secretly likes that)

Gojo:

• He loooves to have someone he can eat sweets with. Every time you go to a different city or town you two would try out their fancy sweets

• Expect him to buy you lots of expensive food items literally all the time

• He would probably even invest in importing foods/snacks from different countries so you can try them together

• And yes he is the type of guy who would lick your lips if there was something sweet on them

Inumaki:

• He would take you out on a street food date

• Just like Yuuji, he loves watching you eat. I think he would look at you with much fondness as you stuff yourself full

• Since he mostly speaks in rice ball ingredients you tend to complain to him how he always makes you hungry when he talks

• Dates would also consist of picnics in the park. Eating until you can’t move and then lay down together ♡

Nanami:

• Dates with him are almost always at a fancy restaurant

• It has become a habit of going to a different one every week

• I think he would order the exact same thing as you because he trusts your good taste in food

• Doesn’t mind spending most of his money in those type of dates. He loves how much you enjoy it and how you can both have quality time together while eating a delicious meal

Sukuna:

• I mean…if you go to his wiki page in trivia, it does say his hobby is eating

• So you found your soulmate

• I feel like his most favourite food is any type of meat

• Why not have a barbecue in his domain? Ajajdhdhdhdh

• He would be the one feeding you “here try this” “try this as well”

• Don’t ask him for a piece of his food though, he can be mean so he won’t give it to you

Mahito:

• As a curse I don’t think he needs food to survive

• But he will probably enjoy anything you cook/ buy for him

• You two end up playing a game, like who can eat the most before passing out

• But then he cheats obviously he can make his stomach bigger

• He would like to lay his head on your stomach and listen to the sounds of your digestion (because why not)

• He would be happy that you introduce him to new foods he has probably never even heard of

we all know he’s cocky and has a huge ego. the two of you are enjoying ramen in the comfort of your own home, away from all the chaos just for a day. you’re sharing stories of your missions, and when it’s gojo’s turn to talk about his students, you suddenly stop him. 

he becomes petty, saying, “why do you always stop me when i’m talking? wait, what are you-”

he stops. literally just stops and sits there for a minute to contemplate what just happened. you’re staring back at him innocently, and then you break out into giggles after looking at him. 

gojo satoru is blushing. his hair is disheveled, his eyes are wide, and his finger is touching his lip. he was taken aback by the sudden contact you just made with him. 

“what did you just do?” he asks after pausing to compose himself. you chuckle, telling him that a bit of sauce was left on his lip.

“[y/n], you can’t just kiss me and laugh at me! do you know how cold-hearted you are?” he narrows his eyes at you as you almost spit out your water while laughing. you get up from your seat, picking up the finished bowls of ramen to put them in the sink. but before you leave, you press a small peck to gojo’s forehead saying, “well, i don’t mind being cold-hearted if i get to see you blush like a fifteen-year-old in love.”

he gasps, placing a hand on his heart as he pretends to be offended. but you know, that it’s these moments that make him feel truly at home. you’re both humane, vulnerable, and bare to one another. you have nothing to hide, and you’re a family. 

— FUSHIGURO MEGUMI.

you’re having lunch together after you managed to get rid of kugisaki and itadori for sometime. while those two were mesmerized by gojo-sensei’s “tokyo-themed” antics, you made a run for it. 

you ended up stopping outside a diner, and somehow at the same time, both your stomachs grumbled. fushiguro and you ended up laughing with one another as you walked in and ordered burgers. 

megumi’s chewing slowly as you mumble something about how it might rain soon, nodding along with you as he said something about rain bringing out more negative energy in people. you complimented at how smart he was, and he retorted with, “i’m not that smart, dumbass.”

and he reaches for a fry, dipping it in ketchup and popping it in his mouth swiftly. you smile at his actions, to which he raises an eyebrow. his mouth is half-full when he asks, “what are you looking at?”

“oh, nothing,” you grin toothily. you reach a hand out, and megumi confusedly places his chin on it, thinking you were doing that stupid trend again. you laugh, covering your mouth with your other hand as you wipe the ketchup off his lip. chuckling, you say, “there.”

fushiguro covers his face, looking away at the window. you’re staring at him innocently, blinking as you ask, “did i... do something wrong?”

“no, no,” he shakes his head, gulping down some water to hide his flushed cheeks, “you didn’t do anything. it’s me.”

“what did you do then?” you ask, wiggling your eyebrows as you sipped on your drink. you’re teasing him, he knows it. you know that he knows as well. but you continue to do so anyway, because a flustered fushiguro is a sight for sore eyes. 

“n-nothing. don’t worry about it,” he clears his throat almost immediately, trying to avoid all eye-contact with you. but you don’t budge one bit. you’re staring him down with narrow eyes, wiggling eyebrows and a smug grin.

“megumi, come on! tell me!” you whine, kicking his foot under the table. he groans, sighing agitatedly. he’s realizing that you’re not innocent after all, and it makes him even more flustered and irritated because of that.

“i said no.”

— ITADORI YUUJI.

yuuji is a carefree boy. one that loves reminding you of how much he treasures you, and also the one who constantly is realizing how deep he’s fallen for you.

you’re in his dorm, watching really bad horror movies together as the two of you continue to criticize them. yuuji’s holding the popcorn, and you’re holding the ice-cream bowl. 

“oh my god, the plot is shit but the make-up is so scary,” itadori crunches on the popcorn in his mouth and hides his eyes. you giggle next to him, turning to look at his scared state as you say, “it’s not that scary. besides, we’re used to looking at real life scary things.”

“you’re right,” he laughs, unveiling his eyes. he didn’t expect the proximity between the two of you and he’s taken aback. he tries to fall back a little so he doesn’t make you uncomfortable, but the popcorn bucket ends up flying everywhere. 

“oh god-” you exclaim, clutching your stomach as you laugh. yuuji’s just sitting there with a deadpan expression, rolling his eyes at his own jumpiness. he shakes his head, pushing off the popcorn on the seat towards the floor as he says, “we’ll clean that up later.”

“you’ll clean that up later,” you correct. he whines for a bit, but then stops when an interesting scene finally comes on screen. taking a spoonful of the ice-cream in your bowl, he lays back, hand across the sofa behind you. 

when he catches you staring at him, he smiles. then he says, “[y/n]? why’re you looking at me like that?”

“[y/n]? hello?” he asks, and suddenly your hand is on his face, wiping away a bit of the melted ice-cream. 

he does blush, but he doesn’t hide it from you. he’s one to openly show his feelings and he wears his heart on his sleeve, so he’ll blush and give you a close-eyed smile. then, he’ll continue to say, “thanks, i didn’t notice it was there.”

him being a carefree fool in love definitely makes you all flustered. 

— INUMAKI TOGE.

honestly, this is probably the most domestic one. you’re cooking, and his arms are firmly, yet softly wrapped around your waist. his chin rests on your nape, as he watches you in solace. 

you’d stir the soup, then you’d lift the spoon up slightly to his mouth to give him a taste. inumaki would open his mouth smally, then he’d give you a hum of satisfaction. 

you’d smile, turning the stove off so you could turn to your boyfriend. but as soon as you do, your eyes soften and a small chuckle escapes your lips. 

he raises an eyebrow in confusion as you extend your hand and wipe the little soup stain off. and then, his heart does a few backflips as you giggle while pouring the soup into bowls. 

inumaki does blush. he blushes furiously. his cheeks are red, the tips of his ears are red, and he’s the type to show you that he’s flustered too. he loves it when you’re cupping his cheeks when he’s embarrassed. he can’t meet your eyes whlie blushing, but he’s still working on that. 

so as he just stands there, he waits for you to cup his cheeks and give him a kiss on the forehead. you turn around with the bowls of soup in your hand and your heart just melts. 

inumaki toge, fiddling with the ends of his sleeves as he looks down at the ground, flushing madly with his eyes widened. you place the food on the table and cup his cheeks(exactly like he wanted), but you lean in and give him a small peck on the lips instead(something he didn’t expect).

safe to say, inumaki toge loves you and your unpredictability. but he also sometimes intentionally eats food messily.
