Hanzo would've been mesmerized by your mannerisms and antics; how you composed yourself was something that caught the marksman's eye, analyzing your every move—noting to himself mentally on your actions.

If you were to ever tease him on the staring, however, you'd be met with a flustered man—typical. You'd then laugh it off, if you were that type of person, and tell him that it's genuinely fine to be curious—after all, so were you about the world, and not everyone meets up with a lady this cat-like.

With Hanzo being your partner, he has found ultimate comfort in you; being able to come to you for affirmation, not being afraid to ask a question regarding anything between the two of you twos' relationship. Being able to sit down together at the table, talking over some dessert he's made—oh my; it makes him soften his gaze instantly. You adored how you were the only person to make his eyes look over you, tenderly appreciating the love of his life; catgirl or not.

Once the two of you were in the relationship, he slowly began to feel more comfortable with asking questions about yourself—if it wasn't said prior. Gentle musings and mutterings of "what"'s and "how"'s and "why"'s would cause you to laugh. A confused Hanzo would tilt his head, as your tail were to sway back and forth; amused at his fascination.

The first cuddle session between you and him was something unforgettable. Either it was the thumping in your chest, the butterflies in your boyfriend's stomach, or how you accidentally got your claws stuck in his hair—one of those

As he then held you, spooning, he's feel your tail brush up against his body, curling its way across his torso and legs. He'd laugh, tickled, and then kindly ask you to stop—pressing a gentle kiss against your neck. Hanzo would like the attention, I'm sure, but he needs to get his sleep in—especially since you, his love, his girl—the one for him—as safe and secure in his arms. His.

"Mmm... make me." You'd then challenge him, if you were not tired or not in the mood. With a free hand, with reluctance of letting go of your frame fully, he'd then play with the soft tuffs at the end of your tail; absentmindedly batting it back and forth.

"I'm starting to think you're a cat."

"What?" Hanzo would then stop, clearing his throat to then adjust his embrace to be more comfortable against your figure. "No, no."

At first, you thought that he was genuinely annoyed at your habits. Over time, you started to realize that he found them rather endearing.

He'd compare his hand size with yours, noticing the remarkable claws at your fingers. Playing between the digits of each, he'd feel along the skin, and then press along the keratin of the nails; pressing his lips together in thought.

"You're quite something else," Hanzo would then murmur between pursed lips, as he returned your hands towards him. As he then repeated his comment on how he found you to be so interesting, you'd chuckle; lightheartedly agreeing.

"I know." Was what you purred out, causing Hanzo to form a bit of a blush against his cheeks; not expecting such a sound. You'd then lovingly nuzzle against the man, kneading your hands inro the softness of his skin; much to his discomfort of your hands digging into him. However, judging by the content noise you were making, and such an affectionate expression—he just couldn't deny you.

With a "begrudging" sigh, he'd resch up, petting and scratching along the back of your ears. How lucky he was to meet a woman like you.

Following the note about Gerudo only really having 0.5% Gerudo ancestors.

I just find this whole thing very interesting.

But for OoT, WW, & TP, I'm reminded of one of my hcs for him (as I depict them as the same Dorf at different points in time). In which he was fathered by the king of Hyrule & is Zelda's half-sister, but that Kōme & Kotake didn't inform him of such. Who, his father, in my version, was the eldest child of the previous king & queen, meaning that both he &, through him, OoT, WW, & TP Gan, were descended from Hylia as well. Which I find poetic & ironic. Almost Shakespearean, in fact.

In such a situation, had he known, then he could've rightly claimed the title of Grand Duke, second in line to the throne of Hyrule. Which would've made obtaining the throne much easier.

And all he'd have needed to do to obtain the crown would've been to get rid of Zelda secretly.

Similarly, the Dorfs could easily leverage the fact that the Gerudo were all fathered by Hyruleans, thereby technically giving them a degree of right to Hyrule as well. Even if just through inheritance.

After all, (in the ones where Hyrule is still a thing) there may well be a large number of fathers still living in Hyrule that either weren't aware of the fact that the Gerudo ladies they slept with bore daughters. Or were kept from seeing them for one reason or another.

The thing is that not all of those men are going to be okay with just being entirely separated from their child. If Gdorf were to play their cards right, he could probably even use that to his advantage to put pressure on the king to acquiesce to whatever demands he makes & possibly even plant the seeds of a rebellion or civil war. Which, an enemy with divided interests is an enemy who’s easier to take down.

And not knowing one’s lineage also causes some issues as, if a Gerudo doesn't know any of her non-Gerudo ancestors going back the past 2-3 generations, it's entirely possible for her to accidentally sleep with someone she's closely related to & end up harming her future daughter inadvertently.

You also have to wonder about health. Like, what if it turned out that his family has a history of heart attacks, meaning he’d be more likely to experience one later in life. With such foreknowledge, it'd be easier to parry such a disgraceful end.

For instance, Equal Lady’s family on her mother’s side has a history of bone issues in their later years that, if not properly treated, can result in intense pain & bone degradation. However, because she’s aware of this familial history of hers (even though her mother left her behind as a baby), Equal Lady knows what to expect & how to mitigate such symptoms via an appropriate diet & proper remedies. If she wasn’t informed on her family’s health history, even the sides she did not care about, then she may have been using that Shikomizue (prepared cane; a cane with a sword hidden inside, stealth weapon made for sneak attacks) much earlier than she was anticipating.

Trust me, there are legitimate reasons to know one's lineage that are more strategic.

After all, if not for her grandfather, Equal Lady would've never pursued her passion for weaponsmithing & may not have ever even met Dorf.

Though honorable, she is also quite cunning.

(Of course, she isn't saying any of this to be contrarian, but more so to point out things that he may not have considered.)

This is amazing? I love the thought process about this, and just the slow domino effect it would have on the Gerudo race! Yes, every child should know both parents and sides of the family for health reasons! So many illnesses and disorders and chronic issues are genetic! I get a lot of issues from my mom's side, but since I don't speak or acknowledge my sperm donor's side, I dunno what exactly I get from them. The Gerudo should have access to Hyrule and the right to live there especially if they have children, bc they are all half Hylian, really, since it's just the Gerudo genetics are very dominate and express themselves always.

Just for you, since this post inspired me:

How would the Ganondorfs (Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Hyrule Warriors, and Tears of the Kingdom) react to finding out that they were related to Hyrulian Royalty? Like their father was once King of Hyrule, then he passed away, and since he didn't know that he was technically the Prince of Hyrule and he was a secret affair baby, Zelda was able to claim heirship?

Wind Waker Ganondorf

Reaction: Wind Waker Ganondorf would be both shocked and intrigued by this revelation. The idea that he has royal Hyrulean blood would be a surprise, but one he would quickly consider as a potential advantage in his quest for power.

Once I figured out that borders were a thing and that I could thicken the words around the letters I saw an opportunity. That opportunity being a chance to right my wrongs. An edit that tragically didn't work out so well for me the first time around was my edit for my best friend in the Haikyuu fandom @moons-and-stars-and-shit. Because her favorite color is gray it completely blended into Bokuto's hair. And that broke my heart because honestly she deserves better than that.

If there's one thing that this fandom gave to me that I appreciate more than anything, it has given me one of my favorite friendships that I have ever made online, my friendship with Lexci. She's one of the most passionate and talented people that I've ever met in my entire life. That passion goes into her blog and so many of her answered HCs, platonic and romantic mashups, and all the little challenges that she does for her blog. If I had known a few months ago that simply by sending her more information for my platonic and romantic matchup that I would make an amazing friend I would've been a lot less nervous I can tell you that right now. Her hard work and ability to put forth 110% effort into everything that she does to make sure that it both fits the person's personality that she's working with still manages to impress me to this very day.

If I could talk to somebody all day and be completely happy, one of those people would be Lexci. I often get nervous around people and whether or not they're secretly annoyed by me. At times I've wondered if I bother her too but she's just one of those people that is constantly encouraging. She always reassures me that she loves every interaction that we've had. I'm self conscious about a lot of things in my life, mostly how loud my laugh is. But one of the first people that ever told me that she enjoyed hearing my laugh was instantly contagious and that she loved it was Lexci. That encouragement was one of the things that helped me to later on embrace myself and my own quirks.

I love doing little things for my friends, I mean of course because this is something that I do all the time. I think part of me believes that if I constantly tell my friends what they mean to me then that'll be more reinforcement for them to continue to talk to me. If it can be something as simple as an appreciation edit that let's them know how much they mean to me, or I leave them a shoutout from their favorite anime husbando that's something that only I had the ability to do. When I bought my talk with Ian Sinclair the first thought that I had after "Holy shit I'm going to talk to Space Dandy" was "I have to leave a message for Lexci". Because if there's anything that Lexci loves it's her favorite winged spiker.

I've always thought that the character of Bokuto was just perfect for Lexci. Something about that enthusiasm and energy just matched her vibes so well. I've always treasured every conversation that I'm able to have with her. She's such a unique and amazing friend to have and I'm so grateful that she was my first friend in the Haikyuu fandom and that she welcomed me with open arms and encouragement. She is one of my favorite people to just talk to and I always love the moments when I'm able to chat with her. So Lexci, I just wanted you to know just how much I appreciated your friendship, from one lover of goofballs to another.
