Based on DMC1 Dante wearing black leather gloves that cover his whole hand:

Reboot Dante wearing the same or similar gloves as DMC1 Dante, because of how you said Vergil's gloves make touch easier for Kat? Like, Kat mentions it, and Dante's like, "Oh, I could do that too" and gets himself a new pair of gloves, to make it easier for her?

Ok so I can see how my headcanons on this subject could lead here asdfghjk and I think that's fair and very cute particularly if someone's into Dante/Kat or just wants a cute Dante and Kat platonic friend moment. This makes sense.

However, I will say though when pertaining specifically to my headcanons Kat's glove trick kinda like...get's messy after the events of the game asdfghjk due to how heavily associated it is with Vergil and the safety and comfort of Vergil it just kind of...Doesn't Work anymore, particularly with Dante because I tend to write Kat as finding the identical nature of the reboot twins just very...uncanny? For lack of better term?

The fact that his hands in gloves are so similar but also not Vergil's fucks her up and she does Not Like It. Something like this comes up sometimes in my fics, Kat will comment or think about how like borderline uncomfortable it makes her with how similar the twins look. Like, it's not something Dante's doing intentionally obviously. He's just acting like himself, it's just very weird for Kat after spending years (in my fanon of the game at least) having gotten so used to Vergil and how he behaves, then suddenly being introduced to his identical twin who moves around nothing like him while sharing his face. It's very weird for her dfghjkl she'll get used to it but she is not yet.

Which brings me back to the glove thing and how like before with Vergil it made her comfortable due to the fact it was a very Vergil thing, but how after the game if Dante tried to do that it turns around to being uncanny and uncomfortable and Bad for her because it's not Vergil. Also the fact that the safety, comfort, and trust with Vergil's a bit broken due to the events of the end of the game. So a large part of why gloves in particular felt safe and comfortable (that association with Vergil) is kind of gone at the moment.

That said I do see how the natural progression of 'Kat is touch avoidant and finds the fact gloves feel different then bare hands' is 'Dante can emulate that by wearing gloves' so like that is very fair asdfghjkl that is a very fair headcanon to have and very cute.
