AU of Kuon where everything is the same for the most part except, oh right she's a gardener, instead of a knife, Utsuki just wields a big ol' shovel.
And yes, it does have a metal bonk sound effect whenever she hits an enemy.
#yes I know the knife is important for symbolic character design and Onmyodo reasons but#let us have a little bit of funny in this game that has a lot of depression and doesn't have a lot of funny#the only thing resembling a funny in this game is Seimei just Dr. Liveslying it up in the manor#and having a “SARUMAAAN THE STINKYYYYY” moment against Doman#Actually realizing that apparently gardening is really strenuous work no matter what you're planting so#Yeah I guess it makes sense now why between the two MCs Utsuki is the more physical-attack oriented one#Sakuya spent almost all of her life studying the supernatural and magical world and creatures and meditating and training#and works doubly hard at it because she's in an uphill battle with how women in her profession society and especially her family are viewed#and becomes a powerful magic user/summoner as a result#And then Utsuki is like:#“I need to make sure the weeds don't kill my flowers :(”#boom strength increased by eight points we're all lucky she's too nice to randomly throw hands#in all seriousness it is highkey just as emotional as Sakuya's reason for being so proficient in magic#Since her irises were one of her only comforts in life#her hobbies and the things she took solace in literally gave her strength in such an otherwise horrible situation#that's legit so beautiful holy cannoli#guys I can't stress enough how good this game is the more you think about it the more everything comes together#legit this realization came while I was goofing off in the tags THEY THOUGHT EVERYTHING THROUGH#kuon#九怨#fromsoftware#fromsoft games
