SAGAU x Forest Island
Based on this ask from @floofeh-purpi
This is Impostor AU again because why tf not lmfao
Reader is Gender Neutral
Warning: Violence, cult behavior, huntings
Ft. Yun Jin
Tumblr media
Your ass can't be any more tired right now.
Ever since you were brought into Teyvat, you have been continuously hunted for "defiling Their Grace" or something. It started with Mondstadt- Jean personally sent all of the Knights of Favonius after you, forcing you to escape by hiding in Wolvendom.
Thankfully, reprisal came in the form of Razor, who didn't understand why he should be killing a random human that looked like a god. All the wolves near you also refused to attack you, and Razor treated you as if you were a Lupical.
Unfortunately, the Knights drove you out of Mondstadt, and you wouldn't have escaped if it weren't for a glowing yellow diamond you just happened to trip over.
Wait a minute is this Energy from Forest Island-
"You have nowhere to run, filth. By my sword, and in the will of Their Grace, I will strike you down-" Jean said before the diamond suddenly lifted itself up into the air and attacked Jean in the eyes, blinding her.
Suddenly, more of the same diamonds fell from the sky, attacking the other Knights and repeating what happened to Jean. This granted you enough time to escape from Mondstadt.
It didn't take long to confirm that the diamonds originated from Forest Island, an idle game you played in your pastimes alongside Genshin Impact. You obtained further confirmation when red heart icons suddenly appeared over local animals, whose affection for you grew tenfold.
These hearts regenerated stamina and helped foraged berries and fruits taste better, perfect boosts for a journey to Liyue...
...And suffer the exact same treatment. You'd be screwed right now if it weren't for energy diamonds blinding the absolute fuck out of your assailants with mere milliseconds to spare.
Then there's Yun Jin, who recognized you as the Creator, albeit with a weakened divine aura and in turn indistinguishable from an actual fraud with malicious intent. Even better, she actually tried treating you like a human, and within the short time you stayed with her, she got close to all sorts of wild animals that normally ran from humans.
"Oh, they're all so adorable, [Name]! Although I am an opera performer, never have I been given such treatment from animals before!"
Her family's great too! Although, with the amount of harassment the Yun-Han Opera Troupe gradually received for harboring an Impostor, you eventually decided to depart with a slightly tearful Yun Jin while reassuring her that you'll be back one day.
You head Inazuma, the same Impostor shit happens.
You trek on to Sumeru, and the same thing occurs!
Eventually, you just give up on all the nations, with everyone attacking you. So instead, you relegate yourself to an obscure beachhead, likely surviving on a crude fishing rod.
Sighing, you cast your rod into the waters, hoping to catch a fish to eat...
...Wait, why is the ground rumbling beneath you? And why is it intensifying?!
Suddenly, an absolutely huge-ass island slowly rose from the waters in the distance, and many diamonds fell from the sky, populating it with what appeared to be animals and fauna.
That finally solidified that indeed, your favorite pastime idle game decided to perform divine intervention that this world wouldn't give.
...Wait a minute- you get to live a cottagecore life without studying and taxes and shit!! Whoo!!!
General Headcanons
A green sea turtle helped you get to the island, offering to carry you on its back.
Immediately, all the animals left their respective areas and tackled you to the ground in their displays of affection. Thankfully, you weren't injured.
They all love you very differently; rabbits and foxes snuggle in your lap and nibble on the apples you feed them, while wolves and bears parade you on their backs and let you sleep with them during the night.
Ducks enjoy it when you sit near their pond's edge and pat their heads. Frogs just sit on their lily pads and croak happily at your presence.
Speaking of the night, all you need to sleep is a blanket on the floor! With a little energy from the island, you never feel too hot or cold.
You cleanse nature as a part of your new day to day cottagecore chores, and oftentimes the waste can be reused for cooking!
Sea turtles like lazing around with you on the beach. Sometimes, you'll even get sucked into the one indefinite whirlpool on the beach with them and feel the rush of a brief flight before landing on the mind-numbingly soft sand that somehow cushioned your fall.
Does and bucks like to scale and descend the island at running speed with you on their back. When they're not running, you lay up on them and they nuzzle you as you nap.
Alpacas and sheep shed their excess wool, allowing you to pick up other hobbies such as knitting and quilting, activities you would otherwise have lacked time back on Earth.
Raccoons play around with you, and they sometimes steal your food. Which is now effectively vegetarian although tasty thanks to the energy on the island. Other times, any leftovers you have go directly to them, effectively making them garbage disposal.
You climb trees while a gorilla carries you in its arms. Most would likely panic by now, but with the tight yet never harmful grip on you, you're reassured of your safety on this island.
Other fun things you do with the animals are swimming with dolphins, birdwatching, and stargazing with everyone at night.
Overall, a very nice time! And then one day, a ship from Teyvat appears in the distance.
They get blinded by island energy as usual, but they manage to get away...
...Oh boy.
Now, you have people and vision wielders on ships attempting to reach your island. However, it appears that the island recognizes what you suffered through.
Now, island energy does not just blind them- it actively forms literal yellow rods from god that tear away at the wooden ships.
Among the unwelcome figures, one welcome one stood out to you the most:
It was Yun Jin! She yelled and rapidly waved at you with a radiant smile, to which you promptly scaled down the island onto its beach and responded with your own massive wave.
Then, you noticed that the same green sea turtle that approached you that day performed the same action with her instead of you. It beckoned her to get on, and she did so hesitantly.
Once her little trip was over, she gracefully stepped down from the turtle before rushing to you to give you a gentle hug.
"I missed you, [Name]! I never thought I'd find you here of all places but I guess the commotion was right!"
And you quickly introduce her to the island's residents, who treat her with the same respect as you.
She decides to stay a while and you help her write a letter to her family, and an albatross volunteers to fly the letter to Liyue.
It's a peaceful life on the island, with Yun Jin constantly obtaining new ideas for opera and living a very domestic life. No need to worry about anyone you dislike either- the island is very protective over you and its inhabitants.
@floofeh-purpi Alright I finally answered your ask lmfao

.。*♡ A/N: Hello Genshin fandom 🥺👉👈, how y'all doing? This is actually my first real time writing for this fandom but I've been reading so much sagau fics and they are all so cool that I wanted to write something too. Not really sure if I'm going to start writing for genshin but we'll see. Hopefully this is good.
Tumblr media
"So... This is how it ends?" A last whisper leaves you as a coppery taste invades your mouth, a strangled half laugh escaping from your blood wet lips.
It was tragic. Still, a little comic how golden blood escaped from the giant wound in your stomach caused by Zhognli's spear. The whole world thought you were an impostor, someone worth killing and now time seemed to stop. The clocks hands stoping moving, the sand stopping falling inside the hourglass.
For a moment everything was static, unmoving, not even breathing.
The whole world was shaking, the winds started howling. You looked at them, eyes moving from face to face. And they had the audacity to look shocked, pale, nervous and anxious as you were dying.
The adrenaline had reached its peak, making any and all pain bearable, painless, but with an injury like that you knew what the result would be. You laughed again. After running away for so many months, being cold and hungry, and only knowing fear, you let everything you felt come out of your chest before your death.
You laughed till your eyes were blurry with tears. Tears filled with pain and hatred. You laughed till your throat was hoarse, the sound stretching till it was all but a hiss.
"Your Grace!" You heard Venti's panicked voice, smug smile wiped from his face as he had the audacity to come closer. Though he was far too coward to touch you, he fumbled anxiously. "No... How could this happen?"
Yeah, how could this happen? You thought bitterly. You were isekai'ed to this world but you were ok with it. And then the characters you used to love and cherish started hunting you.
All because of some kind of creator. You didn't even knew there was a creator in the game? There was one? You can't remember. Skipped dialogues, playing it through drowsiness, not reading the books. There was plenty of lore you could have missed.
It was too late now.
"Use your futile head once, bard." Was your reply, dry tone making him wince. "Write me a song while you're it."
"We thought..." Ei started. But a glare from you had her silent in seconds, imponent Shogun Ei trembling under your eyes.
"You thought but you didn't ask me for clarifications, you didn't let mm..." You coughed blood, a pool of golden coating your clothes and feet.
"You Grace!" Zhongli screamed, alarmed.
Your body became weak and you fell forward, your knees weakening and small tears running down your star like eyes, Zhongli held you, so delicate and with so much love. Once, you used wished for him to hold you like this, for him to cuddle you and share all this knowledge with you over tea but now it just left a sour taste on your mouth while you looked at those ambar eyes as the minutes go by.
"Please, don't leave..." A cry from Ei's wounded soul. Followed by Venti's regretful tears.
A god of freedom took the Creator's freedom, deprived them of it without using his mind like he used to do. And the goddess of eternity was sentenced a spend eternity alone, without her sister, her son, her creator...
Zhongli lips were moving, you could feel the vibration of his voice reverberating through his chest where your head rested. But the words became blurred and their meaning was lost.
The wind was swaying your hair so gently, caressing your face with its smooth invisible fingers.
In his arms, you died.

I just KNOW that in a imposter au traveller won't be tricked by the imposter
They haven't being on Tevyat until now so they just get to know about you a little ago, and most important they had felt your presence when you saved them when that strange god attacked them (u know, since you have to choose a twin)
They had been your first vessel and even if isn't one of your mains it is there with you every now an then (for cinematics and some missions)
He knows your energy more than anyone else and knows that the one in the throne isn't you, but probably don't tell anyone aside from Paimon because they will be acused of being a traidor or something

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ BLESSED , part 1.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤparing. platonic scaramouche & nahida.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤsetting. genshin impact.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤtype. headcanons (tw. impostor au, mentions of violence, ooc nahida, terrible worldbuilding.)
Tumblr media
"Did I do something?" Before he could suppress his thoughts, the question spontaneously flowed from the Wanderer's lips, capturing the Archon's attention.
Nahida's green eyes, accentuated by long white lashes, left the pile of scrolls—courtesy of Alhaitham, the detestable scribe—to analyze him with interest.
"Sorry, I didn't understand." She granted him her characteristic smile, warm and genuine.
He swallowed hard, wondering if it was worth expressing the insecurities growing within him. Clearly, he was motivated solely by the initial emotion. The shadow of his traumas manifested, making him act impulsively.
His porcelain face, pleasant and unchanging, was adorned with red hues. Nahida bit her lower lip to keep from smiling. Frankly, seeing him shy was fascinating. Adorable.
"You've been studying me since you took me in," the puppet replied, irritation marking his voice, always accompanied by a strong Inazuman accent.
"Oh? I hadn't noticed." It was never the Lesser Lord's intention to revive his past. Keeping him in the same cycle was never part of her plans, as it would be minimally cruel. However, there was truth in his words. Nahida was indeed examining him.
He was admirable, unique.
"I'm sorry, Wanderer. I'm not being transparent with you." The apology was sincere, and he could relish the honesty that accompanied it. "I'm working on a thesis, and you are indeed my inspiration."
The Puppet's lips curled in disdain.
"Tell me more." It was ironic and brief. He demanded the truth. He felt he had such freedom to address her informally. Their relationship, although recent, was built on sincerity.
"Well, it might seem stupid, but I have reasons to believe that you are an acolyte of the Creator." Kusanali replied, as if it were simple.
For her, an individual pliable by logic, facts, and evidence, her revelation was easy to digest and accept. All the parameters she used to reach this conclusion were plausible.
"What are you talking about? Only Archons can be Acolytes." The Wanderer retorted, harshly. In another life, if the Electro Archon wasn't a selfish goddess, he might be on his knees before the golden throne, living off the Creator's crumbs.
"Not necessarily. An Archon is just another, victorious in the battle Celestia waged among the gods. Merely a title." Little Nahida shrugged. She took a deep breath and continued with her explanation. "You, however, possess a suspicious particularity."
Still unconvinced by the conspiracy, he asked, "What would that be?"
"Power. And I don't mean elemental power, but your growth." The Lesser Lord sat on her swing and stretched her legs, seeking a brief moment of relaxation. "Perhaps I'm talking about blessings. I thought this whisper of power existed only in the Traveler, but you were consecrated."
"I still don't understand." With a calmer voice, the Puppet approached the young goddess, intrigued.
"You have something that neither I, nor Baal, nor Rex Lapis possess. The Creator's grace." Nahida explained calmly as he approached. "However, when we visited them in Liyue, they didn't even recognize you, which makes me wonder if the one sitting on the Throne might be a impostor.”
(Nahida needed to be honest, to respect her own feelings. To validate her thoughts, even if they might be treacherous. She felt nothing in front of the Creator. No spark or connection.
Staring at the person comfortably seated on a throne of gold and gleaming jewels, she wondered if she would escape with her life if she cut them, solely to examine the color of their blood.
It had to be golden, like the gold that Liyue flaunted — and Rex Lapis would bring her eternal judgment if she succumbed to the darkness of her desires. But the thought was seductive, malicious.
By the gods, she was becoming as sadistic as the Dottore, yet the image before her was not pleasant to contemplate. If she closed her eyes, she would be back in the Cage the sages of Sumeru locked her in, where she could be saved by her subjects' dreams and their faith.
She was still fervent. But that person did not awaken hope in her.
And Kusanali's instinct dictated that she should flee. Take the Wanderer, and run.)
"You still don't understand. And I don't expect you to comprehend it now." The goddess of wisdom sighed, gathering the strength to continue her monologue. "But one day you will. Until then, I hope you know just how lucky you are.”

The Golden Child Part IV
SAGAU & Impostor AU where the reader is the child of the actual creator.
Warnings: Blood, crying blood, mention of abduction and terrorism.
If you haven't read part 3 yet, you can find it here.
Please understand that I won't add new people to the taglist as it has become way too large now. I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience.
Tumblr media
The acting Grand Sage was having a very, very busy week.
With his resignation coming soon, he wanted to finish every document that needed his immediate attention; somehow, his shift was never enough to finish everything on time.
Piles of documents that never seemed to end. Countless people needed his help that went from the most mundane things to twisted crimes that needed the immediate intervention from the Matra. In any case, once he started his working hours, there was no time to waste.
So, that was why the presence of the man in front of him managed to irk him greatly. There was enough time to be a nuisance at home, why did Kaveh feel the need to come bother him at work?
"But I'm telling you!" The blonde exclaimed. "There's definitely something weird about it!"
He sighed. "Well then, did it look like that child was being held against their will?"
"Well, no, but—"
"Then there's nothing I can do. The most I can offer is to send a Matra to investigate and/or interrogate that Lord. For all you know, they could simply be an Eremite's child."
Kaveh wanted to tell him that no, that wasn't the case, but in reality he didn't know that. There was just a feeling, a strange sensation that made him think that there must be something more about them. Kidnapped, an Eremite's child, the illegitimate Lord's child... No option sat well with him.
If Alhaitham saw that child, would he share Kaveh's thoughts?
Fuck it. If Alhaitham didn't want to help him, then he would investigate this matter himself.
Just as he was about to curse his roommate and storm away, the grand doors opened with a loud bang. Before seeing who intruded like that, they first heard the loud gasps and whispers of the scholars outside his office.
"Alhaitham!" The voice of a particular forest watcher resonated around the room. Both him and Kaveh were taken aback at the sight of the newcomers. They were bloody, beaten up, with bandages loosely covering certain areas of their bodies as if they only did it to stop the bleeding and not for properly treating the wounds. Collei was supporting both her weight and Tighnari's, as she was helping him stand and walk. "We need your help!"
The fact that Tighnari didn't refer to him as 'acting Grand Sage' denoted alarming urgency. He quickly rose from his seat and called for immediate medical help. Kaveh ran to his friend's side, gently removing him from Collei and letting him use his own body as support, earning a thankful glance from the girl. The wounds in his body started to bleed again, soaking the bandages and some of Kaveh's clothes in the process.
"What happened to you?!" The blonde asked in a panic.
Collei was still taking deep breaths, exhausted for having to carry her mentor all the way to Sumeru City. "The Ville! We were attacked!"
Alhaitham opened his eyes all the way thanks to his surprise. How come the Gandharva Ville had been attacked and he was only finding out now? By the look of the injuries, he guessed it must've happened yesterday.
"Wow, calm down! Breathe first." Kaveh said. "Explain what happened."
As the medic of the Akademiya arrived and started to treat Tighnari, Collei composed herself and started to explain everything from the beginning.
She told them about the child in the forest that was attacked by Eremites, with their family presumably dead by the Eremite's hands. How Tighnari heard them and immediately appeared to help the kid, safely escorting them to the Gandharva Ville so they could decide what to do next. She also explained how those mercenaries came back for revenge, attacking their Ville and abducting the child once every fighter was down.
Her words shocked the blonde. He looked at his roommate, half in disbelief that his own suspicions turned out to be true.
"You say they took them? Grabbed them and disappeared into the forest?"
"Yes, yes... I was knocked out and they managed to get to them...!" Collei cried. "You have to do something! Those Eremites killed their family and now have kidnapped them!"
The grand doors opened once again, and Tighnari and Kaveh both breathed a sigh of relief at the figure standing in the doorway.
The general Mahamatra had arrived.
"I heard there was a commotion here." Cyno spoke. Tighnari greeted him by saying his name, which made the newcomer turn his attention to him. When he laid his eyes upon the wounded fox hybrid and saw how beaten up he was, his blood boiled with deep rage. "What happened?"
Sensing danger from the short man, Alhaitham quickly composed himself and started to explain the situation. This didn't seem to help Cyno calm down. In fact, every word he spoke only served to fuel his anger.
"We must do something then. That child must be in danger." The general said. "We must rescue them. I'll also arrange for the other matras to track down and hunt those Eremites that raided the Ville."
Tighnari nodded. "Let's go."
"YOU won't go. The 'we' I was talking about is composed of Alhaitham, the Matra and I."
"What?!" Kaveh, Tighnari and Collei cried in unison.
"Regarding the seriousness of the situation, it's only natural that this matter is solved within members of the Matra and Akademiya." Alhaitham explained. "It could be extended to inhabitants of the Gandharva Ville, but the only thing they need now is a good doctor and a lot of rest."
"No way!" Tighnari shouted. "I have to get them back! I have to, I have to..."
His voice faded into intelligible mumbles, repeating again and again the same words. This was the first time Cyno had seen his best friend like this. What could have happened to make him act this way? Those damned Eremites... He would make sure they paid for what they've done.
Alhaitham and the grand general were quick to exit the office and start gathering people to accompany them to Alcazarzaray.
This matter had to be settled right now.
One of the people present also made his way to the exit, only that she did in the complete opposite way.
.
You were feeling very, very warm.
It was as if a giant marshmallow was enveloping you, gently offering a comfortable space to rest while you dozed off with a sense of security.
Suddenly, hand rested on your head, carefully caressing your hair in a loving manner. You opened your eyes, only to find a silhouette cradling you and watching you with hearts on their eyes.
"Keep sleeping, stardust." A soothing voice came out of their lips. "Once you wake, I won't get to hold you like this again."
The sadness in their tone made your heart ache. You gently raised your hand and rested it on their cheek, smiling when they wore a surprised expression.
"Tata..." You whispered. "Papa said they took you..."
You tried to keep smiling, you were seeing your parent again! But the thought of everything that happened only fueled the pain in your chest, making you let a sob out before starting to fully crying.
Your parent stopped the caressing to instead hug you tightly. Whispered sweet words in your ear. "You're too young for everything's that happening. How I wish I could still be hugging you in reality, and not just in this dream."
So this was a dream. Well, it didn't matter. This was the place your parent was, where you could touch them once again.
"Why did they do it...?" You could only ask between sobs.
You could hear your tata let a sigh. Both them and your father had tried to explain everything to you, at least the best they could to a little child. But maybe all you needed right now was the truth.
"I'm the one who created this world." They spoke. With a wave of their hand, something akin to stardust was born from it. It made you giggle a little. "And as such, I also wanted to live here as a mortal like everyone. Like your father, like you."
You looked into their eyes and saw all the love they had for you.
"I descended in a new body, with no powers and no memory. But the mortals and gods... Over time, they became obsessed with the idea of me. Of a being of pure love, power, and divinity. Being in a mortal body, I possessed none of that, so it was only natural that they thought I was an impostor trying to deceive them."
With each word, their tone became more and more solemn. "They... killed my body, so I now return to be a deity unapproachable by any of them. Any, except for you."
They kissed your nose gently.
"You are my child, my flesh and blood, and though I had a mortal body when you were conceived, my divinity still flows in you."
Their fingers brushed the cut in your arm, the one you got when you protected your father back in the Chasm. You averted your eyes from it. It only served to remind you what you lost that day.
"I want nothing more than destroy this world and the people in it for everything they've done to their own creator. But..."
Strangely enough, those words filled with hatred did not worry you in the slightest. Was it because it was your parent who said them? "But...?" You trailed on.
"But you and him still live here. And I do not wish for you both to feel anything remotely close to what I've experienced."
The hug enveloping you became a little tighter, as if your tata was trying to heal all their pain by embracing you.
It was a silent promise. One that said that as long as you both were alive, then the world would remain untouched.
"I miss you." You whispered, hiding your face in their chest.
"I miss you too, stardust. I hope you both live your life to the fullest before finally being reunited again. I love you."
You felt a warm and gentle kiss on your forehead and raised your head to see your parent one last time only to find a pillow resting above you, right where your tata had been. You let a sad sigh at the sight of an unknown bedroom and strange bed.
So, it really was just a dream. But it felt so real... you could still feel the tenderness of their touch and the tingle their lips left on your skin. How you missed your family...
Looking at the window in front of the bed, you noticed that the sun was already starting to set. It seemed that you fell asleep crying in your aunt's arms, how embarrassing. But to sleep all day? It really showed how your situation was exhausting your little body.
There was a small table at your right side with a plate of food on it. There was a note attached to it, with your name written on the upside. You took it and tried to read it, but the handwriting was very different from your parent's. You recognized some letters, but the words were pretty confusing.
Still, even if you couldn't read it, it left a warm feeling in your chest knowing that Dori cared enough to leave you some food and a little note for the moment you woke up.
With the piece of paper in your hand, you rushed to your backpack and took the stuffed animal from the inside, putting both items on the bed. They were your treasures now.
If only you had something from your father as well...
Opting to occupy your mind to not get sad, you tried to approach the table with the snack before a loud bang resonated around the entire palace. It seemed that someone was knocking on the front door, really hard.
As you tried to peek outside the room to see what was going on, you were surprised when Dori quickly came in and pushed you inside, closing the door behind her.
"Auntie? What's happening?" You asked with a slight tremble on your voice. Had trouble come again? Could those people from Liyue have finally found you?
"Ah, that? It's nothing. Probably the Matra trying to arrest me again for 'alleged' scams." She laugh, clearly unbothered by the whole situation. "What do you have there?"
You looked where she was pointing, right at your stuffed animal. "Oh! That's my favorite plush. Tata made it for me for my last birthday."
She smiled and picked it up in her hands. "Look at this cute thing! Handmade goods tend to sell pretty well."
Dori put the plush back where it was and turned to face you.
"Well, I see that you still haven't eaten. What do you say we have dinner together? The chef prepares the best dishes in all Teyvat!"
You giggled. "Okay!"
"Sweet! Then we—"
She stopped in the middle of the sentence as the sound of the main doors opening filled the mansion. This set her right on edge, as the butler had strict orders to not open the door to anybody, not even for the Matra or Grand Sage himself. She pressed herself to the door of the room to hear what was happening in the main hall.
"Aunt Dori?" You were confused by the sudden change of demeanor. You grabbed the stuffed animal and held it to your chest, trying to get some sense of comfort.
"Shh." She motioned for you to remain silent, so you did. Voices could be heard, and even the distressed wails of the butler resonated around the halls. Whatever was happening, it was undoubtedly bad.
Dori looked at you, which made you startle a little. "Did something happen back with the Eremites?" She asked.
"Um, well..." You trailed off, nervous. "Back in the forest, a boy from a place called Gandharva Ville found me first. He brought me back with him, and those mercenaries had to attack the city because of that misunderstanding."
She pushed her head back as the voices got louder, undoubtedly investigating the mansion in the search of something. Someone.
"Fuck, those idiots didn't even bother to tell me anything. No wonder even the Grand Sage is here." The woman mumbled under her breath. She sighed and looked back at you. "Change of plans. We have to hide, or else I'll be imprisoned for terrorism and kidnapping. Those are things I don't plan to add to my record. "
Oh no, was this your fault? Was now your aunt in trouble because you didn't go with the Eremites right away? First, the nice people in the Ville were attacked, and now Dori was going to be blamed for it.
"Quick! Let's go through the secret passage!"
She locked the door behind her and rushed to the bed, pushing it to separate the furniture from the wall. You quickly gathered the plush and the letter and put them in the backpack before helping Dori move the bed. There was a different color right where the headboard rested, and the merchant wasted no time in tearing the wallpaper to reveal a small door beneath.
The Matra was getting closer, so Dori was in a hurry to get you both out of the house. She motioned for you to go first, so you crossed the small passage while she stayed behind temporarily to move back the bed to where it was.
You found yourself back at the gardens, just at the back of the manor away from the people that were surrounding the perimeter. Nobody seemed to have spotted you yet, so you waited for Dori to crawl from the secret passage before running away.
"Stay low. These guys are the real deal here." She whispered before taking your hand in hers and guiding you through the less visible parts of the lot.
You were almost at the entrance of the forest when a member of the Matra spotted you two and quickly gave the signal to his associates.
"There! They're trying to escape using the southern exit!"
It wasn't long before the rest of the Matra started to mobilize in your direction. Dori opted to stop hiding and run as fast as you could, as a last attempt to lose the officials.
You almost managed to reach the edge of the forest when the ground rose in front of you, forming a pillar made of dirt and stones that blocked the path ahead.
"Stop! Lord Sangemah Bay, you are under arrest!"
Turning around, a member of the Matra with a Geo vision was the culprit of your dead end. He was concentrating on maintaining the pillar as the General Mahamatra made his way towards you. Dori put you behind her, which didn't really help to cover you as your heights were not so far away.
"Lord Sangemah Bay." Greeted Cyno, though his voice was filled with nothing but disdain. "I knew you were a scammer, but I'd have never thought of you a terrorist. Have anything to say about this?"
She furrowed her brows but otherwise remained silent. So, he instead looked at you.
"So this is the kid that made you even attack Gandharva Ville to capture. Who is this? Why are you keeping them?"
You wanted to answer him, but the hold Dori had on your hand suddenly felt tighter as if she was silently telling you to keep quiet. Cyno sighed, knowing that he would not get anything out of the pair.
"I see how it is. You both will have to come with the Matra then."
The breeze picked up strongly.
A powerful burst of wind almost knocked Cyno off his feet; he even had to summon his polearm and nail it to the ground to remain in his place. Dirt and leaves started floating from everywhere, and you had to cover your eyes to avoid hurting them.
Only when everything calmed down you ventured to open them once again. You were now facing the back of a small man, with black and green hair and light green tattoos in the visible skin in his arms.
You had a very, very bad feeling about this guy; for the clothing he bore told everyone present that he was foreign to their nation.
"I'm afraid I can't allow to take this child with you."
The stranged summoned his own weapon; a jade colored polearm materialized in his hand as he took a more defensive stance.
"I know you." Cyno spoke. He regained his balance and also held his spear in his hands. "Liyue seems to be pretty far away from here, don't you think?"
Liyue.
This man was here to take you back. Because you were your parent's child, wasn't it? They wanted the child born from the divinity they were obsessed with.
Oh no, no, no, no...
You took one step backward but instantly froze when the boy turned his head to look at you the moment your foot touched the ground. His golden eyes bore right into yours, as if he was nothing more than a predator waiting for the best chance to strike.
However, he promptly returned his attention to the general when he saw that you were no longer moving.
"Heed my words, for this is the only warning I'll offer, mortal. Forget everything about this child, for they are now under the eternal custody of Liyue and the Geo Archon."
Cyno frowned. He still didn't understand the situation that well, but something about you was so special that even the Rex Lapis himself was sending his own acolytes to fetch them. Now, the attack on the Ville made more sense.
He didn't know who you could possibly be, but from the looks of it, you were terrified at the sight of the adeptus. Was this another kidnapping? For a god to step so low...
If anything, he only knew that you didn't want to go with him. So, you should stay here. Right where the Matra could protect you.
He took one step in the adeptus' direction, but the same strong wind from before returned and threatened to send him flying. He could only discern a green stream quickly making his way to where you were standing before vanishing, with the wind closely behind.
When he was able to get the dirt out of his eyes, only the sight of his fellow matra remained. Xiao was gone; you were too. He didn't see the Lord either, but he stopped paying them attention early on. Maybe they took this chance to escape the Matra and avoid any questioning.
His coworkers were quick to offer a hand; two of them helped him stand while the rest immediately started a search party for both Dori and the missing child.
Liyue, huh?
He had to report this to the acting Grand Sage.
There is no justice in letting a handful of people have his way with a kid. He would rescue them, even if he had to cross the whole land to get there.
.
"Isn't the weather beautiful today?"
The Fatui soldier didn't voice her answer, only nodded to maintain her silence. She had her head hanging low, for she was paying respect to the man in front of her.
You had to be always careful when in the presence of Dottore, after all.
"A little bird told me something funny today." His deep tone made chills run down her spine. His silhouette in front of the window gave an ominous feeling, the weather displaying a colorful battle of blue, purple, and yellow thanks to the storm outside. "It appears that the Creator themself descended a few years ago!"
"H-huh?!" She could not help the gasp of surprise that left her mouth but quickly returned to her position of submission when the mad man turned to see her.
Instead of getting angry, he smiled creepily. "Just as you hear. Our Divine Grace finally returned to this world, only that they did in a mortal body. That impostor that every soul on Teyvat made their goal to catch? It turned out to be the real and mighty Overlord!"
The Fatui raised her head in disbelief, watching him as he laughed like a maniac.
"But Liyue was the lucky winner; they managed to grab them and display their headless body for every habitant to see!" He took one step closer to the glass, smiling every time lightning illuminated the scenery. "It's just now that the other nations are finding this out... Inazuma might've been the first, as the only thing covering the skies are the mournful thunder and lightning from the lady that holds their power. Ah, she truly must feel like her heart is being ripped out at these news!"
As if agreeing with him, the sky roared a few times.
"She can grieve all she wants. Morax could've been the executioner, but the rest of them also raised their weapons and didn't hesitate to hurt the Divine One even when they claimed innocence asked for mercy."
She didn't know what to say. Was this true? Their almighty god, their benevolent and loving one... Had already descended and was killed because people simply didn't believe it?
"This is going to be fun." Dottore hummed. "I almost can't wait for when the other archons discover what transpired. Will they unleash their fury and sorrow upon Liyue? Hehe, I sure hope this storm marks the beginning of the end."
He turned around and started to exit the room, but not before giving the soldier under him his last command.
"Wait for the next ship to Snezhnaya to deliver a letter. Inform the Tsaritsa that even though her efforts to reach our Divine One to aid them were hindered by the other archons, this time we can all protect the most precious gift they've left for us."
She looked at him quizzically but made no comment to refuse him.
"That's right." He laughed. "We'll take care of them while the rest of the world crumbles and destroys itself..."

v. SAFE FOR NOW
Tumblr media
as soon as you were calm, paimon immediately took hold of your hand and gently tugged on it, "come on, you need to breathe some fresh air!"
and you meekly protested, saying how you didn't want people to see your tear stained face but lumine soon joined in and took your arm in hers, smiling from ear to ear, "so what? tears are no signs of weakness!"
nahida followed behind, giggling, "I agree with lumine, tears are no signs of weakness and crying is a normal emotion," she was walking by your side in mere seconds, "though, here," she gave you her handkerchief, "if you still don't want your people to see your tears, it's all right."
already thanking her for it, you would have taken her handkerchief if one of your hand was free and seeing this, lumine let go of your arm, grabbed nahida's handkerchief with a big smile and gently wiped your face, stopping paimon in her tracks.
"there! no need to complain anymore, or else, paimon will get angry," paimon joked and you couldn't help but giggle.
paimon prided herself in the fact that she made you let out a happy sound.
Tumblr media
"you... are still alive?"
those words should have put the former geo archon on high alert, however... he simply nodded, bowing his head once more.
"yes, your divine eminence."
and everyone in the room, the servants entrusted by the liyue qixing to their 'creator' sitting on your throne, stared at the bowing man.
their 'creator' crossed their arms, a brow raised while they stared.
the silence was uncomfortable.
what were they waiting for?
after a couple of minutes, they spoke again, "rise, former geo archon," they paused, contemplating their next move, "we have a contract to make."
after the 'creator' has gone public, thanks to ningguang, many went to see them with offerings, gifts and went to them in hopes of finding cures or blessings from their 'creator'.
and, after their visits after requesting blessings and cures, those people... either mysteriously disappeared or nothing happened, making them turn their backs on the one they used to worship.
if they couldn't help out their own people, it only meant that they were fake.
Tumblr media
"a trip to mondstadt would do you good," lumine had said.
"and it'll be loads of fun!" paimon added.
so why were you running for your life, following the two ahead of you while ducking and turning right then left on your trip to mondstadt?
what they forgotten was that: outside of sumeru's vast desert and forest, you were seen as an impostor in liyue, maybe in the other nations as well, you were not certain.
and to get to mondstadt, you had to go through liyue either way.
despite lumine choosing the safest, less populated route, after you voices out your concerns, you ran into some millelith.
"don't let the impostor escape!" one of the men yelled, a few feet behind you, prompting you to turn and look at them.
another mistake on your part.
nahida was against you going to mondstadt, for your own good and you'd agree with her. but you couldn't stay in one region only. this was the game that had you look up to something in life after all.
you agreeing to the traveler and her companion then convincing nahida to let you go and that lumine, who puffed out her chest in pride, promised to protect you, nahida couldn't do much... was the first mistake.
wanderer has suggested to go along with you but he could not, for he had duties awaiting for him and those duties could not wait.
you stepping in liyue was the second mistake.
their shouts were bound to attract the attention of nearby... authorities? threats? you no longer knew.
but seeing at how they were chasing you as soon as you walked by them, stating that 'their grace' was in liyue right now and tending to the people of liyue's matters, they immediately assumed that you were an impostor.
and a part of you agreed with them.
though, you knew that this was your face, the one you were born with, it was not your fault.
"halt, in the name of the liyue qixing!"
"eat shit!" the words were out of your mouth before you could even think about it and, somehow, that made lumine and you laugh, paimon nowhere in sigh yet you could hear her muffled laughter.
the path in fron of you seemed void of obstacles, yet, when you looked back again, the millelith were further than they previously were and you noticed that there suddenly were obstacles.
looking forward again, you noticed that you were nearer to the traveler, who, upon noticing your presence, grabbed your hand and made a sudden turn to the left.
strange.
that's when you noticed the waypoint.
and once she was near enough, she laid her hand on the teleportation device and mumbled, "the city of freedom!" in a hushed whisper.
then everything went white.
not before one threw their polearm at you, which cut your forearm and made it bleed, leaving behind a few drops of gold.
however, at the time, no one noticed.
Tumblr media
for the first time in a long time, beidou had docked the crux in liyue harbour, having been summoned by ningguang whom, speaking of which, had been waiting for her friend's arrival.
"hey, ning!" beidou said, putting an arm around the tianquan's shoulder as kazuha jumped off the crux and onto the wharf before walking to the two women.
"captain beidou, I surmise that you have already gotten the letter I sent out to you while you were at sea," ningguang said, making no move to remove beidou's arm, having grown accustomed to it by now.
"what letter are ya talkin' about ey? there's lots," the captain of the crux said, laying her head against the tianquan's shoulder, and moving her arm to now rest on ningguang's waist, once kazuha was close.
"about the creator-"
the inazuman bowed in greetings once he stood in front of the tianquan who nodded at him in acknowledgement.
"ah, yes, yes! I remember."
"they've requested to see you."
somehow, at the same time, both of their blood ran cold, making the two exchange glances. which the tianquan noticed. she frowned and asked, "is something the matter?"
beidou pulled away and plastered on a fake, albeit convincing smile, "what are ya talkin' 'bout? nothing's the matter! we'll meet 'em shortly."
the always elegant woman nodded, gave them instructions on how to reach the 'creator's palace in the sky, almost the same way one was to reach the jade chamber before she left.
and once ningguang was out of earshot, beidou turned to kazuha who was staring up at the sky, the wind blowing gently around them.
"so? what's the wind sayin'?"
kazuha stayed quiet, eyes closing as he listened to the things the wind had to tell him.
══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══
he opened his eyes once more and looked at beidou, nodding,
"the true creator is in mondstadt and the one currently sitting on their throne is a fake."
the beidou main in me is so happy rn.

love the sagau nonsense idea where nature protects the reader. but omg what if
acolytes lose sight of the reader, and basically give up on the search. but not long after they give up, there’s rumours of a mysterious house that appears in the early mornings of teyvat.
it’s actually the reader’s cozy house, and teyvat hides it away during the rest of the day to protect the reader.
just thinking of the possibilities lol
A/N: I absolutely love this idea! I hope I did your idea justice.
Rumors begin spreading throughout the towns near where you had settled down. It's a wonder that no one has ever knocked on your door. You know several people have seen your house, not many, but still enough. It's only visible at midnight and just before dawn as that's typically when you leave.
Of course, you don't leave very often. You wouldn't want to restart the flame that landed you where you are now. Who knows if you'd survive a second time. You only ever leave when necessary or when an archon is visiting the area a little bit too much.
You spend most of your days peaking out your windows and just people watching in general. It's a little confusing how your house works. It's almost nonexistent at times, yet not at others.
The rumors should worry you more than they do, but you don't think anything will come of it. Idle rumors have little to no chance to reach the fake, nor any of the most devoted acolytes. And why would they even believe such rumors? You haven't been seen in months. According to them, you're dead, and you have been for weeks.

As I expand on each version of the reader I realize that some of them if they were to somehow meet would not like each other and I find that very funny.
Like, imagine meeting an alternate version of yourself and its hands-on sight.
Because some of the kids fall into one of three categories; I don't want to be the creator; I'll do it if there's no other choice; the throne was stolen from my 'mother' and I will take it back.
Anyway, I know that the voting isn't done but the yes to the nickname option is winning so I'm going to share a few suggestions.
because I want the nicknames to relate to each version's personality or who raised them, it was kind of hard to come up with something gender neutral that sounded like a nickname.
I have grown a liking to the nickname 'Kid' for the Mondstadt reader. As I mentioned briefly in the original post, this reader has snuck out of the manner when they were ten. 'Kid' was a nickname given to them by the villagers. It progressed form ' who's that kid? Where did that kid come from?' to 'The Kid from Mondstadt' and finally to ‘ The Kid of Mondsatdt.' Also since this reader is the most adventurous, there's something about them being called 'Kid' that fits.
I don't really like the nickname that I've came up with for Liyue's reader. I was think of calling them 'Youth' because Zhongli and the adepti would call them 'young one' or 'the youthful one'. As I said before I don't like this nickname and it is subject to change.
The nickname for the Inazuma reader: 'Kit' because baby foxes are called kits and Yae Miko is a fox. I'd be a fool no to take what's in front of me.
For the Sumeru reader I can't decided between ',Rook' and 'Canary' I have no reason for the bird-themed nicknames but it does fit because this version of the reader is the most creative, and I find birds to be both creative and colorful.
Fontain- 'Cree'( pronounced kree) This is one letter off from the word creed which means a set of beliefs, principles, or opinions that strongly influence the way people live or work. This is fitting because they were raised by Neuvillette who is the chief justice
Snezhnaya- I've taken a liking to 'Dame' as a nickname for this reader. Because A) it sounds like a shortened version of damsel (to me at least) and B) it is a title that is given to Wemon equal to the rank of a knight in the UK. Also the name 'Dame' conjures up an image of someone who's dainty and fragile. This reader is soft and delicate, but they can be cruel and malicious. I feel like ' 'Dame' reveals who they are on the surface.
If you have any suggestions feel free to send them in, My ask box is open.

Aquatic, Adorable, Adored by Kokomi
A user by the name of @floofeh-purpi made a post about a simple fishing game known as "Tap Tap Fish" or "Abyssrium" here
Another user under the name of @bl1pbl0p wrote a comment that I and another user under the name of @bunniotomia should make a fanfiction piece to crossover the two games
Did I seriously tag three users at once? Yes indeed I have lmfao
So, I played the game, and all I can say is
floofeh-purpi has introduced me to one of the most adorable games I have ever seen what the heck
You're gonna be paired up with Kokomi for obvious reasons. Fish, plus fish, equal affection on both sides.
Reader is Gender Neutral
Tumblr media
You and Kokomi were running Usain-Bolt style out of Bourou Village from the mob attempting to murder you two.
Why? SAGAU Impostor AU. When you first got punted into Teyvat, you bothered exploring and tried talking to the people of Mondstadt...
Amber ratted your ass out. Now you're wanted worldwide for sacrilege against the Divine Creator, Holy Progenitor of All.
The funny part was that no one but the enemies helped you. The Knights of Favonius were after you, Millelith were after you, even the Fatui were after you and they usually helped you!
Eventually, the chasing came to a halt once you headed to Watatsumi Island, where Kokomi resided...
As you woke up and stared at the Divine Priestess herself, you merely flashed an exhausted and broken expression.
Kokomi stared at you with great concern and worry- she found you washed up on the shores of Watatsumi Island wearing clothes that visibly saw better days and golden scars that exhibited major struggles. She took a few days off her duties to personally attend to you.
Looking at her with a quaint little smile, you handed her a small knife you carried. "You... gonna kill me, Kokomi? I'd rather it be you than anyone else in this blinded world."
Kokomi's concerned expression shifted to that of a mortified one and her breathing stunted. "W-Why would I want to kill you your grace?! After all you've done for us, for my people?!"
And then she made the implications once she allowed herself to breathe again. "...No... is that why that Impostor hunt was decreed all across Teyvat??"
She then began angrily mumbling words and ranting about how Teyvat effectively committed the most unforgivable sin without actively realizing it. You, however, were simply taken aback. You may have utilized (insert your main character here) as your main character, but they were somehow as blind as the others. Yet Kokomi, coming in at a close second, recognized you.
Then, you silently wept.
"O-Oh dear-! Your Grace are you-" And then you slammed yourself into her chest, hugging her tightly like a child reuniting with a parent.
Tumblr media
The rest is history. And now, it's time to-
"Pay for your sins, filthy impersonator! You're not getting away this time!" Said (insert your main character here)
Run. Like run the actual fuck outta here.
"GO FUCK YOURSELF AND DIE IN A DITCH, BITCH! AND TELL YOUR COMRADES THAT THEY'RE ALL SHITTY-ASS BOOTLICKERS FOR THAT PLASTIC SURGERY-ASS VERSION OF ME!" Yes, the roasts may not have been the best, but anything to piss your hunters off worked for you.
Unfortunately, the two of you reached the water rather quickly...
"Damn it...! Kokomi get in the rowboat we gotta get outta here!" You ended up stealing some random rowboat and Kokomi got in. This wasn't your first time rowing a rowboat- you did this once in Liyue in the dead of night to escape the nation of contracts.
Except, this time would be far different.
Upon rowing out into open waters, a water vortex began forming, slowly reeling your boat into its hold before swirling it and you two akin to a stirring pot of soup. Your assailants lowered their weapons at the sight and their expressions ranged from bewildered to angry to concerned.
As water sloshed into the boat and soaked the two of you, you held firmly onto the rowboat's sides while Kokomi latched onto your torso. "Hang on Kokomi, if we die then you were a great friend!" You swear you saw Kokomi's expression grow confused for a split second before you closed your eyes and waited for the end to come...
...
...
...It never came though.
You suddenly felt your lungs filled with an infinite air supply. You opened your eyes, and their vision cut through the ocean water's murkiness without any problems. Looking around a bit led you to find Kokomi, still sinking in the water. You floated up to her and shook her to bring her to her senses.
"Oh-! Your gra- ah!" Kokomi said before covering up her mouth, and slowly uncovering it. Taken aback by what she did, she spoke again. "I can speak??" She said again, and you tried the same.
"A. A. Kokomi. Oh holy shit I can too!"
As you two continued to sink, you looked downwards and saw your culprit.
It's an undersea volcano structure of sorts; and an unusual variety of fish were swimming around it such as squids, sea turtles, a few blue tangs, a narwhal, a great white shark, a supermassive blue whale-
Wait a minute.
This looked like the fish your Abyssrium account had while you played the game back on Earth! Which meant...
"OH MY GOD-" you swam downwards rapidly and erratically with Kokomi gracefully catching up to you. Soon the two of you were met with a face you recognized:
It was the not-so-lonely Corallite, who is effectively the entire catalyst for the aquatic organisms in Abyssrium.
"Hello!! You're just as beautiful as the day I lost you!!!!" You gushed, heading up to the sentient rock and hugging its side. The sentient life-breathing rock's smile grew wider in that response and its bubble-puffing doubled.
Meanwhile, Kokomi fawned over the diversity of nautical life present. Woooow! Such... diverse life! Wait- is that a shark?!" She shouted upon seeing a Hammerhead shark swimming up to her and the additional fish mingling with her, but it strangely didn't attack.
You swam on over to Kokomi, but not before giving the Corallite a little pat-pat. The Hammerhead suddenly swam over to you, awaiting head pats you gladly gave. Its face relaxed and soon a bunch of other fish navigated to you.
"They're not... attacking each other?" Kokomi curiously asked. "Mhm! I practically raised them all back on Earth."
"You raised all of these creatures together?!" Well, it's time for an explanation.
Tumblr media
"So... you raised these fish from a different world akin to how you guided us?"
"Mhm! Come on Kokomi, I have so many new fish to introduce you to!"
General headcanons:
It seemed you could instantaneously and confidently identify whatever organism you focused on. This significantly helped Kokomi understand the different types of aquatic life here.
She had never seen organisms such as the narwhal, whale shark, or leafy sea dragons before! They're all so colorful and fascinating!
Her eyes are sparkling at the diversity of sea creatures! From turtles to sharks to sea stars to jellyfish, she's never bored at the silly little antics these adorable sea creatures get into.
And they love her too! It's not uncommon for Kokomi to have a few clownfish or tangs swim up to her as she gives them little pets. They wink, make motions akin to giggling, and nuzzle her in return; she has a lot of new friends here.
Then she sees the 1000-year-old Blue Whale and by god, she is in shock at its gargantuan size rendering even a regular blue whale a midget in comparison. However, you reassure her that it's a gentle giant like all the other organisms here. She manages to swim up to the whale's nose and boops it gently, and she sees its eyes gently close as it sings a soft little whalesong.
And the dolphins! Unlike their real-world counterparts, they gently nuzzle you before swimming off rapidly away and beckoning you to follow them. You taught them to play games such as tag or relay racing, and sometimes when they need to breathe at the surface they let you grab onto them and let you hear the brief sounds of their blowholes before diving back into the ocean.
(A/N: Dolphins are actually really scary in nature, look them up)
The hermit crab also exists and he likes waving his little baton. He's generally a chill dude- you and Kokomi like petting his shell.
Eventually though, Kokomi does get homesick after a few months or so. She loves her new life here, but her people need her. Thankfully, transportation has never been easier thanks to your ocean friends, some of them having fast speeds. With a slowly declining Impostor hunt decree, she discreetly snuck back into her position as Divine Priestess without any information leaking from the island.
From sleeping on the ocean floor with torpedo rays, gently stroking in the waters alongside sea turtles, dancing with groups of smaller fish, or just gushing about your day with the Corallite, there's never a dull moment for Kokomi and you.
Taglist: @floofeh-purpi, @bl1pbl0p, @bunniotomia, @valeriele3 (You're included anyways because I think you may enjoy this post)

The face I hate
Summary: [ Post-imposter AU ] When the hunting ceases and everyone beg for forgiveness the creador agree to take the place on the throne, but they cover all their body and face
××××
Based on this drabble
This is my first time properly writing so i hope I made it right!! I know a lot of people loved this idea so i hope I met their expectations with this!
Maybe in the future I will write more for post-imposter au!!
Tumblr media
You don't remember how long it has been since the day you arrived on Tevyat, the initial happiness and curiosity you felt that day has long forgotten, but at this point it doesn't matter, what only matter is that you are finally able to rest because everyone had finally stoped chasing you, you don't know why but you don't care, you just don't know to whom God thank that they had finally stoped
However that peace and relief only lasted a couple of days before they followed you again, but this time instead of carrying weapons and threatens they carry an expression full of regret and sadness, instead of imediatly attacking you they immediatly kneel and beg for forgiveness, sometimes they even bring you offerings, promising to be only the best for you but that is what they say and you can't trust them
You wanted nothing more than get away from them, and you did so, you always wander away from the civilization and stay by the side of the only ones that had never tried to kill you, you stay with the kind slimes that used to shield you and cuddle you while you were trying to sleep, with the hilichurls that always make sure to gave you a messy plate of warm food, the abyssm creatures that used to wander with you and shield you everytime someone get close
You wanted to stay with them but the people of Tevyat were stubborn and annoying, they had been even more annoying that when they wanted you dead because now you can even heard them beg for forgiveness to the statues of you and in the temple, it was too much, even more difficult to handle than before and for your own sanity you decided to accept their prayers and go with them, hoping that they will just shut up already
You thought that now that you know how regretful they were you will be able to handle it, but you were wrong, you can't find peace when all their angry faces and bloodlust against you still hunt you down in your nightmares. Even when they kneel at your very least image and talks to you with a lot of respect you just don't feel safe around them, even if your body doesn't have the scars of what happened your soul and mind does, you feel vulnerable and threaten by their very presence and if anyone dares to approach to you, even just a little, you always instinctively step back, they understand and apologize everytime it happens, however they never expected for you to one day start covering yourself
You start to use clothes that cover all your body, that way you feel at least a little more safe, you even started to change your appearance, but it wasn't enough, it is never enough for you, not when everytime you see your reflection in the mirror the only thing you see is the reason why all the people you used to love started to hate you and chased you to death, at this point you don't want nothing more that destroy it too, so you started to cover your face with a mask, a mask that the hilichurls gifted you
Everyone was surprised but they don't say anything, not that they have the right to do so. It become painfuly for everyone to not being able to see you but they just accept their punishment
You weren't the only one suffering from this, everyone on Tevyat was suffering, every day they regret what they have done, and that suffering only increase with every day that pass without being able to get more than a few words from you, only the necesary. And that suffering only increase when they find out that when you go out of the temple you visit all the creatures that had helped you, the ones that protected you since the first day and that you allow them and only them to see your face, you feel comfortable enough with them to take out your mask and you even smile at them, they are allowed to heard your voice filled with happiness and love, they understand but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt, the guilt they feel only increase and is eating them alive
The Archons are suffering the most, they are supoused to be the closest to you and yet they were easily fooled by and made suffer their true creator, they ordered their people to hunt you down and kill you without mercy, the person that gave them everything, the person they were supoused to love and protect. The regret and guilt is too much to handle even for them, it makes them wish death, but dying is too merciful of a fate for them and they know it

Furina, who while devoted to the creator, knows that they are not all powerful nor all knowing- after all, they still referred to her as Focalors, they still treat her as an archon and one of their acolytes.
Furina, who regularly questioned her faith and her loyalties- after all, she was attempting to fool the Heavenly Principles, the loyal attack dog of the creator, but at the same time, why didn’t the creator try and stop the prophecy? If the creator had the power, and truly loved all their humans and archons, why let Fontaine drown?
Furina, who when an impostor appeared, received the same order as every other archon- hunt down the imposter, the heretic who defied their revered creator, and destroy them and their treasonous behaviour.
Furina, who during the search, wondered if she would be hunted down with the same vigor if others would learn of her duplicity.
Furina, who found you in a grotto only able to be accessed underwater, who saw the way the creatures of the sea attempting to help you patch up the wound in your side, spilling golden blood, and realized her faith was misplaced with far more ease than any other archon could have mustered.
Furina, who helped her creator heal in that grotto, apologies soft and regretful on her lips. She should have realized sooner; After all, she knows how easy it is to impersonate a god.

The Golden Child Part III
SAGAU & Impostor AU where the reader is the child of the actual creator.
Warnings: Blood, talks of kidnapping, mention of suicide.
If you haven't read part 2 yet, you can find it here.
Tumblr media
Deep down, a dozen meters below the ground, a wounded man awake with a jolt.
The ground below him was wet, undoubtedly thanks to the pool his blood had made. Every inch of his body hurt like hell. There was a gaping wound on his side, his left arm was twisted in an uncomfortable way, and his head felt like it wasn't really attached to the rest of his body, the migraine making a simple job like opening his eyes fill him with absolute pain. Downsides of having a mortal body, he supposed.
Upon glancing upwards, he found that he couldn't see the top of the cave. It was just a large hole that went on and on, but he guessed he must've been deep into the earth for not even being able to see the light of the day. That, or it was nighttime already.
It took him a couple of minutes to stop feeling dizzy. He just concentrated on breathing, trying his best to ignore the sting of his wound every time he inhaled. Once the world stopped spinning, he got up.
First, he tried to sit up, but having the strength of only one arm only made things more difficult. He failed two times but managed to succeed on the third. Now he could see the area better and found that his guess of a cave wasn't entirely wrong. It was just rock, water, and gravel everywhere; with a couple of passages that went beyond what he could see thanks to the dim light his vision offered. What surprised him, though, was to find a lonely patch of grass and flowers below him. The grass was thick and soft, that was what undoubtedly cushioned his fall. The flowers were below his arm and head, so they were supporting his wounded extremities in an attempt to not aggravate his existing wounds.
A groan alerted him, and turning his head quickly, he was able to see another figure with him, laying down unconscious on the ground and doing considerably worse than him. Still feeling a bit dazed, he was able to reconstruct the events that led him to his point.
You!
He fought in The Chasm! Then lightning struck and both him and the other man fell down. So this is where they ended up, huh? He had no idea how to get out or if it even was possible to find an exit.
But he still needed to try. He had to get to you.
He could sense a wall nearby. His only good arm waved all around, trying to find something hard to land on and help him stand. All this darkness was doing nothing to help his migraine.
What he found, though, was not a rocky wall but instead a firm torso of a person. The shock made him recoil with a yelp, trying to get away but failing to do so thanks to the pain in his legs and waist. So, sitting on the floor, he could only look up to try to see who was in front of him. For a second dread took over him, thinking that the other man had woken up and was ready to strike him again; however, he could still hear him breathing heavily right where he found him. So, who was this?
A flicker of light emanated from his vision, and the slight glow was enough to let him stare into the deep, blue eyes of blond man. He wished there was more light to see him, for all he could distinguish was a suit adorned with a cape and a mask covering the right side of his face but letting his eye visible. He didn't know what to make of him. Why would such a man be right there, deep into the underground of The Chasm?
"You..." He heard the stranger say, but couldn't really discern what was said next. It was as if all the blood rushed right to his head, making it impossible to hear anything but muffled words.
His vision blurred once again. And, even though the stranger moved to support him, he still fell down as the world was spinning around him.
And, in just that instant, he lost consciousness once more.
.
It was only nighttime... It hurt to think that it was only this morning the moment where you lost everything you held dear to your heart.
Your eyes were fixated on the bonfire in front of you, simply watching the flames dance as you tried to avoid having any type of thoughts that could make you break down in front of this group of mercenaries. To anyone who saw you, it would give an eerie feeling. But this was the only way you had to remain strong. If you didn't think about what happened, it would be the same as if it never happened, right?
The party that previously raided Gandharva Ville was strong in numbers; however, the group that you were in now roughly had six people in it. It was just you, the man that carried you in his shoulder throughout the forest, three more guys and two women. It seemed like this was the main group, and everyone else you saw in the ville was just a reinforcement.
Contrary to what anyone could've thought, the atmosphere in the improvised camp was pretty lively. One girl and one guy stood relatively far to keep watch, but the four remaining members were keeping you company around the fire, telling jokes and sharing some pretty interesting stories between them.
Even though you weren't really in the mood to laugh, you still pretended to listen to them. Some of the jokes even made you smile, but it was pretty evident you were feeling a little down.
And so, one of the men sat down beside you, looking down at you with a warm smile. Thanks to the little time you spent with them, you saw him as the most friendly of all.
"Hey there, little one." He said. "Do you feel tired yet?"
It was pretty late. But still, you shook your head.
"I see..." He took a look at the empty tent. "Do you feel cold in there?"
You shook your head once again. "No, it's okay. I just don't feel tired."
"If I were you, I'd be dying to get some rest!" The woman laughed, managing to capture the attention of the group. "When I joined the Eremites, the worst part was getting used to three hours of sleep a day!"
The guy in front of her nodded, agreeing with her.
"Yet you survived. How I wish you didn't."
She threw a rock at him while the rest of the team laughed at them it even managed to make you chuckle. Your companion seemed to light up at this.
"We are just worried about you. I know that we were paid to escort you, but even then we know better than to let a kid be uncomfortable during the night." He ruffled your hair.
"Yes, the original plan was to retrieve you sooner to get you to Lord Sangemah Bay before nightfall. Alas, things happened but now we can deliver you as early as dawn."
You knew that this group of people was more than capable of traveling during the night. However, things were more difficult with you joining them. Part of the deal was delivering you safe and sound, so the best course of action was camping for the night to avoid any confrontation with other possible ruffians or running into some forest watchers.
You hugged your knees to your chest, glancing once again into the fire.
"Who is... Lord Sangemah Bay?" You asked timidly. Your father was the one to say that name, so you guessed that they were somewhat close if he trusted him with you. "What are they like?"
"We don't really know." Said the woman. "We were hired through a third person. We thought this was a simple kidnapped at first, but that butler was really adamant about letting us know that you would willingly come with us once we said that Lord's name."
"But everyone know they are disgustingly wealthy." Hummed one of the men.
"And they love to work, too." She interjected. "They have all that money, a handful of servants, even a big mansion! And yet they're never home. People hang around their house all day long just to catch a glimpse of them."
How could your father even know such a person?
Every new fact you learned about this mysterious lord did nothing to calm your anxiety down.
"But don't worry. Even if they're known for being pretty selfish when it comes to money, you wouldn't know how much they paid to ensure your safety... For someone so frugal, you sure mean a lot to them."
Now you were really curious to see who this Lord was.
For now, it was getting late. And even though you wanted to stay awake, in just a few minutes you were already sound asleep in the arms of the eremite, right in the middle of his explanation of the rules of Genius Invokation.
They didn't have the heart to let you sleep in the tent alone. So, they kept you company all night long, filling the atmosphere with joy and laughter, even at the expense of those who lost on the card game.
.
Morning soon arrived.
The group was used to spending the night camping, for the moment you woke up everything was already packed and everyone wad ready to depart. They even prepared a little breakfast for you, something light that you could eat along the way.
As you walked alongside the eremite, your final destination drew near.
'The Palace of Alcazarzaray' was how they called it. And surely, the word 'palace' wasn't enough to describe the magnitude and majesty of the construction. You've never seen such a beautiful home before... Your eyes shone like stars, completely entranced by the scenery.
As expected, there were already people gathered in front of the bridge leading to the manor, trying to bribe or persuade the servant there to let them pass. He stood there emotionless, as if this was a sight he was accustomed to see every day.
When your group approached the entrance, the other guests seemed to notice you, for every one of them gasped in shock and fear and moved out the way swiftly. The servant also recognized you and immediately stood aside to let you through.
"W-welcome back!" He said. "The butler is already waiting for you!"
The leader nodded and signaled for you all to keep walking. The passersby now were pretty curious. Why would the mysterious Lord associate themselves with the Eremites? It wouldn't make sense unless... the Lord was using them for some illegal activities.
One of the people present seemed pretty suspicious about this. Red eyes took a long look at the group of mercenaries entering the palace that he himself designed, silently worrying about the whole ordeal. Was this worthy enough to be reported? He didn't have any proof of any possible accusation against the Lord; for all he knew these Eremites were only simple guests (Yes, the Lord doesn't have guests, but there's a first time for everything) or were here to make business regarding trade and commerce.
While debating what to do, he caught a glimpse of another person between them. More than a person, it was a child. They were walking in the middle of the group, the grown bodies of the Eremites shielding the kid from any prying eyes. As if no one was supposed to know that there was a child traveling with them.
If they weren't suspicious enough, now they had all his attention. There was a kid in the middle of everything...
Why?
Were they in danger? Kidnapped? Sold to a foreign rich guy? A hundred scenarios ran through his head, maxing him more and more anxious.
In the end, he wasted no time in turning around and starting to run in the direction of his -temporary- house. He had to get there, fast.
.
The Palace was as beautiful on the inside as it was from the outside. As you all entered, the big reception hall welcomed you, followed by a few servants that immediately started asking about you, if you were feeling uncomfortable, if you were thirsty, hungry, and a large number of etcetera. It got overwhelming pretty fast, so you hurried to find cover behind the lady eremite you spent the night with. She only laughed and ruffled your hair, telling you that these people just were concerned about you.
The butler approached the group and bowed to them. "The Lord is on the way here. We sent the message that you were coming as soon as it arrived here, but the Lord—"
"Insisted on also go looking for you herself!"
The grand doors opened with a loud thump. You looked expecting to find this mysterious and mighty Lord that everyone was talking about...
Only to find a colorful, petite woman standing there and smiling.
"Lord Sangemah Bay, the Eremites you hired have returned. It seems that they were successful." The butler said.
"Of course they were!" She laughed. "After all the money I paid them, that was the less they could do."
The leader of the group approached her and crossed his arms. "Well then, I guess our job here is done. It was a pleasure doing business with you."
The little woman waved at him, as if that was her way of saying goodbye. The Eremites hesitated for a second. So, was this the end? Were they supposed to leave you here and go on with their lives? She raised a brow, inquiring them silently. This alerted the butler who promptly ushered the mercenaries to get out of the house. It took a few seconds, but now you were alone with the Lord and all her servants.
The lady turned to look at you, and before you knew it, she was gripping your cheeks with such force that even the skin was starting to turn red.
"Look at you now!" She exclaimed. "It was such a long time since I last saw you!"
She didn't lessen her grip. It was starting to hurt.
"My Lord, I think that's too much..." The butler advised.
She soon realized that he was right. Your cheeks were set free, at the expense of being drowned in a tight hug. "But I've missed them so much! I deserve to touch them a little!"
Those words were pretty confusing, as you were sure you didn't know this woman.
You raised your head slightly, as she was barely a few centimeters taller than you, and looked into her eyes.
"Excuse me, Lord..." Your voice came out quite shy. "But I don't think I know you."
You thought she would get angry. But instead, she laughed.
"Of course you wouldn't remember! I'm your aunty Dori. You were just a baby when I held you in my arms."
Aunt? Was she a family member? But your father had no remaining relatives, and your parent...
"Of course, not related by blood. I'm just a close friend of your father, we've known each other since we both started our life as merchants." She explained. "I got to know you some time after you were born when I went on a trip to Liyue. You were so cute back then! Of course, you're still adorable now. You big eyes shine with a glow that even the glimmer of mora pales in comparison to them."
Dori rambled on and on. She still held you close to her, telling the story about how she met your father in a business trade and started to exchange letters with him weekly. It was your dad who told her that he was getting married, and even the moment you were born... It sure felt like she was a silent aunt watching over you without your knowing.
During her monologue, the butler and some servants guided you to the living room, where tea and refreshments were served for you to eat.
"... And then I found out what happened yesterday in Liyue."
Ah, those were the words that made your heart drop to your stomach. You were still not ready to assimilate what happened.
"When you have eyes and ears everywhere like me, news like these arrive fast." She shrugged. "I always knew your father was reserved about his partner's origin... Though now I suppose it was all to protect them from those people who labeled them an 'impostor'."
So, Dori thankfully also thought that having the same face as the Creator is not a sin. It helped you ease your heart a little.
"That's why you two fled here. Your dad knew I would help him." She looked into your eyes, frowning. "Word reached me that you entered Sumeru alone, that's why I also hired those Eremites to help me look for you. So tell me, what happened? Where is your father?"
The tea got stuck in your throat.
Why...?
Tears filled your eyes. A choked sob escaped from your lips, and Dori felt a tug in her own heart at the sight of your small form start to cry.
She scooped you into her arms and tried to soothe you, gently caressing your hair as you couldn't retain your tears anymore and let them fall freely, holding onto the clothes of the woman as tight as you could, hoping to find some comfort.
You didn't have to say anything for her to understand what happened. She wanted to tell you that everything would be okay; those people wouldn't be able to find you here, and she'll be sure to protect you from those that captured your parent and now seemed adamant on capturing you.
However, she remained silent. Amidst the grief and mourning, she couldn't help but feel warm at the touch of your body. She was sure she only felt like this once before, when back in Liyue your father brought you along to meet her and she had the chance to hold you in her arms.
She had no words to console you, for all she could think of was this strange sensation... And if this all had anything to do with your parent and his title of 'impostor'.
.
A green figure searched through all of The Chasm.
Xiao, though he would not admit it out loud, was worried about the whereabouts of Zhongli.
After the... execution of their beloved and caring Holiness, every inhabitant present was struck by grief. After all, who would want to live knowing they took part in their Creator's death? Were not for the words of Lady Ningguang, he was sure more than one one person would've ended their life.
The fact that the Geo Archon faked his death was completely overshadowed by the main event that transpired. No one cared about Rex Lapis at the moment, they just wanted the child of their beloved Holiness to be back where they belong, to atone for the sins they've committed...
And for that, Morax was the first to chase them.
Xiao and the rest of the adepti were not as fast as him, when they finally managed to reach his location all they could find was a large, bottomless hole and remnant signs of a previous battle all over the place. In a hurry to find him they decided to split up.
Each one took a different route and started searching. For an entire day, they weren't able to find him or sense his aura. They still hoped for the best, though. The Chasm was a tricky place, they could not even feel the aura of their fellow adepti and they were all alive and well not far from each other. So, he had to be alive.
It was during the morning of the next day that Xiao managed to find him, clothes soaked in blood and resting his body in some ‐now- red colored rocks. In an instant, he was at his side checking his injuries and calling for his fellow companions in distress.
Zhongli tried to breathe normally. He was badly injured, his left arm broken from the fall and the wound on his side was still open and bleeding, staining the nature and the arms of Xiao.
"Please resist, master." Pleaded the Yaksha. "We will treat you soon."
"Huf. Huf. No— No..." Zhongli took the wrist of the boy in his hand. "Sumeru..."
"What?"
His master's breathing became more irregular and labored. "Sumeru— They're in Sumeru...!"
He didn't care if he lived or died after this; he knew his people would do anything to retrieve you safely from that nation, so he at least needed to let someone one know your whereabouts before darkness took over him.
And so, he let himself fall unconscious in the hands of his acolyte with peace on his mind.
You were going to return home soon.
