A bit late, but just a thought on the ellen page thing, and all the TRA posts about "terfs" being oh so irrationally and/or maliciously upset about it.

Imagine the opposite. Imagine a famous trans icon detransitioned and came out as gay or lesbian. Imagine what woke social media would look like. Imagine the articles. All the "its internalized transphobia, they're still trans they just got bullied back in the closet by the terfs :(" and "they're making trans people look confused! How dare they be public about this!" and "they were never really trans so dont listen to them so they have no say about trans issues!" all the condescension, the vitriol, the cries about transphobia and the evil cis gays whos evil agenda makes brave and stunning straight trans people mistakenly think they're actually gay for being SSA!!!1!

So whenever some 16 y/o with pronouns in bio makes a post about "terfs shaking and screaming and losing their feeble little womanly minds over trans people existing xD" or some braindead shit like that, im sorry baby but i have to laugh. because you know theyre the exact kind of person who would frantically reblog thinkpiece upon thinkpiece about why a celebrity detransitioning is transphobic and brainwashed and was actually never trans, but also is still trans but in denial, and how its all - once again - the terfs' fault.
