....you know its ok to like a "bad" movie right? and this post isn't even about "blindingly letting professionals decide whether they can enjoy a movie or not" i literally made this to laugh at how people (including those oh-so-evil critics!) keep bringing up chris pratt.

and to say that critics 100% don't know what they're saying, or claim they know nothing about the source material when i promise you many of the critics who have seen this are probably familiar with Mario, is so left of field.

my qualm with your response is your implication that all critics just don't know what they're talking about which in some cases, is true but its not the end of the world if a bunch of critics who come from all walks of life say "hm yea its not very good"

if you get mad that you like a movie that wasn't liked by a critic, who by the way, is just writing their own opinion as well as using the very real critical and analytical skills they have to write about a film and see that as "they told me not to like it" idk what to tell you.

like sure, you're right about people not relying on critics but why are you adamant on the fact that critics are all old people living in caves who set out to hate all your favourite movies? sometimes movies are flawed and people point that out. its not a personal attack, its great that the fans enjoy it and it seemed it was going to be that way from the start. and if I'm being honest if you saw those trailers and didn't already think it was going to be ok like alright i guess

why am i not surprised in the slightest. i want to blame chris pratt for this and i will. this is all his fault! also its probably a ok film, illumination are not critical darlings anyway so this is probably one their higher ranking movies anyway.
