crying. what am i supposed to say about tanizaki as a parallel or adaptation of the real author to the bsd character when we know nothing abt the character. i SHOULD talk abt him bc he's like one of the only classic japanese writers that get translated to hebrew, so ppl who're gonna come to the lecture to hear abt actual classic lit would likely be interested in hearing abt him like historically, but how the fuck do i connect it to bsd, the actual topic of the lecture-
