fankid request!
not really something I ship, but something plausible (and for which I'd be curious to see a fankid): Verosika x Blitzø
this is such an interesting concept!
i like to think that even if they had a kid, verosika and blitz would still eventually breakup. given how blitz already has an adoptive daughter, he'd be the one to raise mal, who'd probably visit his mom on the weekends and such. i think it's also karma for blitz being a shitty boyfriend to now have a little copy of his ex hanging around him constantly 😭

Banished Heimdall x Reader (Goddess of Nature)
(Request from wattpad) The part where Kratos spared Heimdall. Well let's say he did spare him and he came back to Odin to report what happened but the gjallarhorn was stolen and Odin banished him to Midgard and did the same spell like Freya had. And for years being stuck in Midgard, there he meet the reader who is actually the Goddess/Mother Nature, melting the snows and creating flowers for the end of Fimbulwinter.
~
Several years have passed since Odin banished Heimdall to Midgard for losing the Gjallarhorn. But he still didn't accept this fact, and exile did not soften his character at all. The winter didn't help much either. Luckily it was finally coming to an end.
Heimdall was tired of wearing thick fur. He definitely preferred the climate in Asgard, his clothes and peace there. And now he had to take care of himself, and it was driving him crazy. Especially at the beginning, ugh... He doesn't even want to think about it. He shouldn't live in the past.
He was just coming back to his house, grumbling about how he hates this world and this winter better be over because... Okay, he doesn't know what he's going to do, but it better be the end of this cold weather. Though... Then he'd have to boat across Lake of Nine and row, so maybe the cold wasn't so bad after all...
"Stop!" He heard a scream but ignored it. He continued walking forward, still focused on complaining. At least until some vines suddenly sprouted from the ground in front of him. "Are you deaf?"
"Are you looking for trouble?" Irritated, he turned to the place where the voice came from and was clearly surprised.
You were standing a few feet in front of him. With a slight smile on your face, dressed in a fairly light outfit, considering the weather. But... The aura around you looked like spring. Your hands emanated pleasant magic, and the smile itself seemed to melt the snow that was no longer around you at all. Nature was beginning to come back to life, green grass sprouted from under the snow, and the scent of flowers slowly began to fill the air.
You've met each other before, when he happened to be on a mission in Midgard. And it seemed like your character has stayed the same ever since. And he won't admit it, but... The aura you spread around you calmed him down and warmed his heart.
"Be careful, don't step on my flowers." You said, drawing back the vines that were blocking his path. You just finished that meadow and it was about to get trampled by some bitter guy.
"Do you really think I care?" Okay, maybe not the usual bitter guy, because as he turned to walk away you saw his shining eyes. And you've only known one person with eyes like that - other than einherjers, but they've been gone for a while.
So it had to be Heimdall. Very dissatisfied with having to be where he is.
"Respect nature and it will respect you." You followed him, and with you spring aura, letting the world know that it's time to wake up from winter sleep.
"I don't need it. Go plant your flowers elsewhere."
"I seem to have planted quite a few around your house. I thought there were some people living there, otherwise I probably wouldn't be so nice." You said half-jokingly, clearing the snowdrifts from your path with one snap of your finger.
"You did- WHAT?! Who asked you for this?!"
"Do you have to ask for gifts?" You replied, tilting your head slightly and aligning your step with him. "I don't think that's what it's about..." You smiled and extended your hand towards him with a flower in your hand.
"I don't want any weeds." He took off his coat and draped it over his shoulder as it was actually starting to get warm.
You rolled your eyes at those words and ran in front of him, now walking backwards but facing him. You were still holding a beautiful flower in your hands, flower with large, white petals for now.
"Look." You ran your free hand over the flower and its petals began to change colour. In shades of pink, purple and blue. Its stem took on a white colour with golden accents. You smiled wider and extended your hand to him, offering this newly created plant. "Here, this is for you. It looks like you." Heimdall stopped suddenly, and so did you.
No one has ever been so insistent about giving him a gift. In general, no one ever even wanted to give him a gift... It was even... A nice feeling.
In order not to lose his image, he sighed a martyrdom before taking the plant from you, the petals of which matched the colours of his eyes. As he took the flower, your hands touched for a moment. Your skin was very smooth and radiated a warmth Heimdall didn't know, but he could tell with certainty that it was pleasant.
"And what am I supposed to do with it?" He asked, examining the plant carefully.
"Plant. Need help?" You asked as you started walking back towards Heimdall's house. "You could plant a vegetable garden. Oh, or orchard!" You smiled at that thought. Walking with him towards his house, you kept doing your job along the way, here and there stimulating more plants to grow.
"Do I look like a gardener to you?" He grunted, his eyes focused on the flower. This small gesture somehow warmed his heart, which was especially aching after the things that had happened to him.
"I'd help you." You suggested. "Of course, when I'm done with spring." You added, walking over to him.
You reached your hand towards his face, but he immediately pulled away. He knew what you wanted to do and he absolutely did not want to let it happen. I will look like an idiot. You froze with your hand next to his face.
"What a favour from Y/n, the great goddess of nature." He said it with a hint of mockery in his voice. "Why do you want to help me?"
"I have a soft spot for things that need fixing." You said honestly. He would know anyway if you lied.
"I'm not broken."
"Aren't you?"
Isn't he? He didn't know himself. And what does a not broken person look like? Behaves? Lives?
He was always lonely, even when he was surrounded by people. Even if he was in bed with someone, even if there was a family meeting. He always felt alone, as if no one cared about him, he meant nothing to anyone and the only value he had was what he was doing for his world. And now he didn't even have that. He lived from day to day, but he had no purpose. He just existed.
He sighed softly, then nodded slightly. After that small gesture, you gave him another warm smile and finally moved your hand. You touched his hair and tucked a flower like the one you gave him behind his ear.
"It suits you." You said, placing your hand on his cheek for a moment longer and it cost him all his stubbornness not to snuggle into it and it's warmth.
The warmth of sincere sympathy, caring, interest. Something he had never known, and it was an unfamiliar but pleasant feeling. And maybe, just maybe, he would like to experience it even more.
"Like a wreath suits a cow." He grunted, but there was no such obvious malice in his voice. "Can we go now or are you going to put so much weed in my hair that I'll never get it out?" Saying this, he started walking towards his house again and you followed him.
"I'll take them out, you don't have to worry." You said.
"Oh, and you think that I'm going to let you do that?"
"If you let me put a flower in your hair, you'll let me take it out." You answered with a wide smile, walking with him arm in arm and spreading your spring aura around you here and there.
Damn, she's right.

BUT WHEN SCARA WAS DISCARDED, Y/N WITNESSED IT AND WAS SHOCKED. They didn't believe that the Archon would do something like that. still, they took scara
y/n decided to confront her god and asked why she did that. When they found out the reason why... They were torn whether to stay with scara or still be a follower of the archon...

A devotee to Eternity herself, you've been following her for as long as you could remember. So much so, you've been graced by her excellency's presence multiple times before and earned yourself a high position in the Grand Narukami Shrine, vowing to yourself to serve the Shogun till your last breath.
It wasn't like you wanted to. Your family was exceptionally known for being long-term followers of the Raiden Shogun. You didn't have a choice. So you delusion yourself that yes, this is what you wanted. Nothing something you were coerced to do.
Well, that is until you met her creation.
When you first saw him, you were knocked off your feet. Literally. By the last steps of Narukami Shrine, you were merely sweeping clear of sakura petals that began to fall from its branches, you were minding your business when you heard footsteps nearing the shrine. Putting up a half smile, you raised your head to greet whoever came to visit the shrine but when your eyes landed on the new figure approaching you, you froze.
What caught your immediate attention were his eyes. Vibrant and full of life, curiosity, and awe to the world laid before him. A gorgeous deep shade of purple with faintly visible crackles of electricity dancing in his round eyes. You were so captivated by his eyes that you failed to notice Lady Yae walking beside him, as well as the fact that you were not at the bottom of the stairs just yet, merely close to it.
So you fell when you took a subconscious step forward and hit the stone path headfirst. Hard.
"Oh my!" You heard Lady Yae gasp, nearing your fallen body. It was only then you realized the head shrine maiden was present and you completely ignored her existence until you heard her speak. "Are you alright?" She asks, a glint of amusement in her eyes as she glanced at the nervous puppet hiding behind her, but more concerned at your well-being.
Quickly getting back up on your feet, you wobbled slightly as you stood, dizzy, but you managed to bow respectfully at her. She kindly asked for you to raise your head and examined the throbbing bump on your forehead. "You should be more careful there, especially when there's someone new visiting." Yae Miko teased the already flustered servant before her, greeting the puppet with a red face.
Up close, their breath was swept away once more. His features resembled her excellency, but it was more... ethereal, you dare say. You had to hold yourself back from opening your mouth in awe the longer you observed him, from head to toe.
"Isn't it quite rude to stare?" Lady Yae spoke up once more, startling you from your awestruck stupor, almost dropping the broom you held in your hands. Finally noticing the nervous and uncomfortable expression he wore on his fair face, brows creased and lips tucked into a frown, you gasped.
Bowing to the puppet, you apologized profusely.
That first silly impression of you was enough to intrigue him. While he was skittish around you for the first few times, he grew fond of you in the long run. You were friendly, showing him around the shrine when Yae first introduced the place to him. You spoke with high respect towards the Raiden Shogun, often teaching him things he never knew about her, and even taught him more about human nature.
From sweeping the floors of the shrines with you, cooking food even though he couldn't taste, nor consume mortal delicacies, and many more. The more time he spent with you, the more he felt himself grow comfortable with his sense of self, comfortable being with you. The world didn't seem so terrifying and confusing with you by his side.
He felt as if he was just a mere human. Free from what he's supposed to be, and able to breathe in the fresh air he could only feel between his fingertips. When you genuinely smile at him, laugh so freely around him, grab his hand and run through the sakura trees surrounding the Narukami Shrine, and call him adorable nicknames...
You fill his hollow chest with such warmth and emotions he never felt before, he could've sworn he felt a faint strum of a rhythmic beating in his chest, but only with you. For you.
The doll you've befriended would visit quite often. It would always brighten your days from then on once he took a step onto the stairs of the shrine. Once you'd felt Lady Yae's presence, there was also your dearest friend beside her.
So you dropped the wet cloth you used to clean the wooden floors of the shrine and quickly got up to your feet, rushing towards the entrance with a big grin on your face.
But you only saw Lady Yae, whom you bowed to respectfully. Although something bothered you with the way she looked at you. Her eyes were gentler than usual, a small, solemn smile on her lips as she approached you. An unsettling feeling settled at the bottom of your abdomen.
Worried, you asked about his whereabouts.
So now you're in this predicament. Silently packing your things into a small pouch, lips pressed into a thin line as you began to question yourself.
You swore loyalty to the Shogun until your untimely death. To serve her with your whole heart, to worship the concept of her existence, to glorify her name. But the time you spent with him fills you with more happiness and clarity than you've ever had when you simply prayed inside the shrine.
You wanted to be with him more than you wanted to serve Eternity herself. It left a bitter taste in your mouth. Since youth, she was your sole purpose of existence. Your goals were meant for her, your life was meant for her.
How a puppet of her's managed to break your will so easily puzzles you, but you couldn't be more sure of yourself. You gripped the pouch you held and dusted off your shrine clothing, strengthening your resolve.
To throw one's beliefs away will never be simple. Teachings engraved in one's mind will never fade, and faith will never be destroyed so easily. But a simple step away from your god, straying away from divinity will be enough to break away from its shackling chains.
The Electro Archon be damned! The moment she threw him away, your Eternity was the Shogun no more, but the puppet Lady Yae described as disaster soon to unfold.
While the uncertainty made you feel scared, you stepped outside of the shrine.
Fine then, a disaster you say? You huffed, letting the pinkish petals fall into your open palm, admiring the serenity night brings. You will stay with disaster, for he made your heart, once more, beat with a sense of freedom. No longer weighed down by the beliefs your lineage thrust upon your birth.
You awaited his wake in Shakkei Pavilion, keeping the dust away from his flawless, porcelain skin, wiping away the stray tears that fell from his closed eyes. Around his body were multiple trinkets you'd bought for him. Things he hadn't seen before, books he hadn't read, and rather expensive artifacts from different countries.
It felt like you were giving him offerings, in hopes he'd wake up soon.
During his slumber, slowly but surely, you've found yourself a new belief. A new sense of purpose. A purpose that didn't make you feel like the eyes of your parents stabbing behind your back, judging your every move. Where ever he would go, once he awakens, you will follow him.
Who knows? Maybe he'll make himself a god. That's certainly a religion you'd prefer to pray to.
In the meantime... Watching him peacefully sleep on your lap, chest slowly rising and falling even if he needn't breathe. The light seeping through the cracks of the walls paints his fair skin, highlighting his hair beautifully; he truly looked like a god. It was enough to quell the restlessness of your mind.

Confessions in the Dark
Summary: The Noise and Noisette have had enough of you and Peppino constantly dancing around the fact you both like each other. It's so obvious and you both are idiots.
They have an idea though, they'll invite you both to the get together they're having. Everyone will be there and maybe that'll be the push you guys need.
If not, there's option B. Or C.
Contents: The trope of "these two idiots like each other but won't ask each other out", Mutual denying of crushes, Feelings get crushed due to this, Swearing, Noise being rude, Semi angst to fluff, JFC can you both get together already?!, Somewhat suggestive but nothing nsft.
The Noise lets out a groan, "Look at those dumbasses." he gestures across the room at the counter. You had been here for half an hour now, the food you ordered being eaten long ago. Instead you were currently sitting at the counter carrying a conversation with Peppino.
"It's so obvious they're into each other." Noisette agreed, shoving the remaining bit of crust into her mouth. "Arghe gohna ebr conbess"?
"Babe, chew with your mouth closed".
The pair continued observing your interactions. It was pathetic, to be completely honest. If they got here before you did, they'd both notice Peppino glancing at the door, unusually attentive, if it was on a day you'd stop by. You'd alway come in on Wednesdays and Fridays. Any other time Peppino would barely look up from his work to see who entered.
Noisette took a sip of her soda, finally finishing with her food.
"Are they ever gonna confess"?
It was telling enough that you would stop by and simply linger this long. It definitely wasn't because of, in Noise's opinion, the sub par pizza. Some days you'd just order a damn drink and sit at the counter, engrossed in what ever conversations you had with the man.
"Pft. Y/N probably still has that letter, or threw it out. And him," Noise points over at Peppino, "Won't ever make a move on Y/N. They're both fucking idiots. What they need is someone to confess for them".
Huh.
That was an idea. Noise sat up, it was time to go. "Come on babe, I have an idea that they'll thank me for". Noise slid out of the booth with Noisette excitedly following after him.
* * * Wednesday 6:34 p.m.
"We can always just go with option C then." The Noise shrugs.
"What if they just freeze to death instead?" Noisette asks. "And how are we going to lock them in the freezer there"?
"That's option B," he snaps. "Option C is where we'll just walk up to the counter when Y/N is there and just confess for them".
"Shouldn't we try the less drastic options first"?
Noise ignored her, obviously if this plan didn't work, locking the two of you in a freezer where you'd have to hold each other to stay warm was not that drastic.
"So why was option D a thing?" Noisette asks, writing in her notepad, "That will definitely kill them".
He drags a hand down his face with a groan. "No shit. Option D is for 'Die' because if...No! We're not discussing that option. Not unless our other plans fail".
Noisette scribbles something else down before pursing her lips in thought. "So for option B do we need rope or handcuffs? Also I thi-"
"Let's just focus on this plan."
* * *Wednesday 7:15 p.m.
You had finished texting Noisette and set your phone to the side, a small grin forming on your face. Maybe leaving the house would be a good thing. This get together was on Saturday, which was perfect since you didn't have to work.
What could go wrong, honestly? You pause before knocking on the wooden table you were seated at, remembering the old superstition. Just in case. A sheet of paper drifts away, you grab it before it floats to the floor. The smile on your face disappears as you aimlessly scan the words you had written.
You make a face and cringe. How did you even manage to write some of this?
You'd write confession after confession. Hands shaking and your face usually staying a shade of red during the entirety of you writing.
After finishing another letter, you'd slip it into an envelope and seal it.
Then, predictably, you'd come back and shove it into your dresser. With the other dozen or so you failed to give to Peppino. This was just another failed letter for the failure you call your romantic life. You don't even have a romantic life, you remind yourself.
Granted, you felt like you were being dramatic about the entire situation. Why was it so damn hard to write and give him a "I really like you" or "would you like to go out?" letter? You were more terrified of telling Peppino in person, so instead you opted to write your feelings out. Unfortunately you still were struggling.
Numerous times you wrote everything down you liked about him; how he made you laugh, how you enjoyed the times you hung out, how handsome he wa- You faceplant into the table to stop thinking about it, face heating up.
It sounded like an easy solution, just give him the letter. The real reason you were struggling was because you were afraid of him rejecting you. You sit with your face buried in your arms, as your thoughts turn dark. Why can't I do things like normal people? Normal people can just confess and be done with it.
In your case, you just know getting rejected would fill you with shame. Peppino liked you but you doubt he'd want date you. He liked you as a friend. You feel a sharp twinge in your chest.
If you had any obvious signs he liked you more than that, you'd feel more confident but it's not like that'll happen. Too bad there wasn't a big glowing sign that would give you the answer.
You didn't want to pretend you didn't like Peppino -in fact you kind of hated pretending and denying it- but when he rejects you? How would you have to act afterwards? Like nothing happened? More than likely you'd probably stop going to the pizzeria, it'd be too awkward otherwise. And it'd also hurt if you did visit. And it'd also be awkward.
You shake your head, not wanting to dwell on it anymore. At least for this get together you'd get to see him. Maybe you'd get a chance to confess then.
*** Friday 2:12 p.m.
Noise clears his throat, again, attempting to get Peppino to acknowledge him. Peppino ignores the smaller man as he adds cheese to a pizza, never even looking in Noise's direction. Instead he continues talking with you, asking if you'd like to watch a movie next week. You smile and say yes, eyes lighting up as Peppino explains it's an italian classic. He watches Noise still in his peripheral. Maybe if he's lucky he'll get bored and go away.
Noise rolls his eyes, with a "tch" before propping his elbows up, resting his head in his hands. He cracks a smirk.
"Hey buddy, can you take my order instead of oogling your lover all day"?
You snap straight up.
Peppino whips around, eyes wide.
"Excuse me but what the fuck?" you blurt out a bit too quickly. The food you had taken a bite of goes down the wrong way, sending you into a coughing fit.
"Merda! Look-a what you did!" Peppino snaps, "Y/N are you ok?"
You wave your hand, " 'm fine" you gasp, grabbing a napkin as another coughing fit starts. Your shudder as you cough again, downing a sip of your drink. Noise shrugs as Peppino glares at him. After another moment you let out a shuddering breath. "I'm fine, thanks".
Just as Peppino's about to yell at him Noisette pops up beside you.
"Heya Y/N! Sorry Peppino I'm borrowing this!" You're cut off as Noisette grabs your arm and yanks you from your chair. Peppino watches as you grimace, sending him a "what can you do" shrug, as you let her pull you into a booth.
For a time he'd watch you sit, happily chatting with Noisette. He watches as you look confused for a moment before you start shaking your head, as if saying no. As you continue chatting he watches as you suddenly lean closer to Noisette, a smile spreading across her face.
The Noise hops up into the chair you had been sitting at. Now replaced by this menace. Peppino grumbles as he adds on the remaining toppings. "What do you want"?
"We're having a get together Saturday. Show up." He replies curtly. "And three orders of garlic knots".
"Why-a would I"?
"Because Y/N is going".
"And"?
Noise leans in "I know you like them. This is your chance to tell Y/N. Or should I tell Y/N for you?" He begins to move off the seat "Actually, I'll just do it now..."
"No!" he yells, catching Noisette's and your attention. You both stare, waiting for a fight to break out. After a pause you determined an intervention wasn't needed, instead you return to your conversation with Noisette.
Noise remains standing, shooting Peppino an annoyed look. "Saturday. 7 p.m. At the lakefront".
Shortly after Noise and Noisette leave, you come back up to the counter. You thank Peppino for the pizza and tell him to have a good rest of the day. Peppino heaves a deep sigh as the door closes behind you.
*** Friday 11:38 p.m.
Peppino lays in bed staring up into the darkness, replaying that moment from earlier.
It had been months now, when the realization hit him. He adored you. Your smile, your looks, how nice you were, how you brightened his day. He hadn't noticed how much he looked forward to your visits at first, but they had become the highlight of his day.
At some point he had memorized what you ordered. This lead to him always preparing a fresh pizza with your favorite toppings, ready for you when you'd come in. Gustavo had teased Peppino on a few occasions regarding his attentiveness to you, which would fluster him immensely.
That changed when the realization dawned on him. He'd have the occasional daydream (that was more often than he'd admit), but he tried to wave them off.
Sometimes Peppino had thought about asking you to hang out, either to see a movie or a even a simple outing. He thought of buying flowers for those days and giving them to you, watching as your eyes light up from the gesture. He'd imagine how the day would play out and how it might go. And by the end of the night he'd take your hands and ask you to be his.
He'd imagine how nice it must be, to be your boyfriend.
That memory from earlier resurfaced again. Your reaction when the Noise called you lovers. For a split second he felt his heart flutter. Your reaction and look of disgust promptly crushed those feelings.
It was purely delusional to think you'd ever be interested in him. Peppino wasn't exactly what you could call "boyfriend material".
On the surface, he could just look in the mirror and point out a laundry list of flaws. The top ones being; Middle aged. While not a flaw in itself, this paired with his other issues only amplified them. Fat. He wasn't really sure when or how but he had developed a gut. Balding. The hair he used to have and took for granted all but thinned and gone.
Then if you were to dig deeper you would find; PTSD. Anxiety ridden. Short temper. And also sometimes he would wake up in the middle of the night from night terrors. Mentally, Peppino felt broken. Even if you could tolerate him for a bit, you would get worn down eventually. Hell, even he was worn down by it. You didn't deserve to be burdened as well.
You would never be interested in someone like him.
The best option was to simply treat you as any other customer. Peppino shut his eyes, nodding to himself. He couldn't keep holding on to a foolish daydream. What he needed to do was distance himself, then could move on and not have that sinking feeling like earlier with your comment. He'd have to come up with an excuse to cancel those plans next week too.
It would be difficult for a bit but he knew he had to be realistic. The first steps were always the hardest.
*** Saturday 2:19 p.m.
"Sure".
You stare at Peppino, confused. Usually he'd be much more talkative. He barely even glanced up from the dough he had been kneading.
"Are you going to meet up with everyone later"?
"I'ma busy tonight. Saturday's are one of our busier days"
"Ah." You're lost on what else to say, unable to keep from feeling disappointment. While this was true, you thought Gustavo was going to take over for the last few hours tonight. Maybe he doesn't want to be around the Noise? Which is fair enough, but there would be others there too, and not just him.
You shift in your seat awkwardly. Some days Peppino had been busy and couldn't talk, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence like today. You wonder if something's bothering him.
You pull out your phone to text Noisette. After pressing send you tell Peppino to have a good day as you move to leave. He nods, giving a short "You too." As he pulls a pizza from of the oven.
***Saturday 5:04 p.m.
At an instant the Noise had lunged at Peppino, grabbing the front of his shirt. "Listen here fatass, you better not bail out tonight or you're gonna play hide and seek with a fucking pipebomb." the Noise threatens, glaring up at Peppino.
He rolls his eyes in reply, wiping the flour onto his pants. "I already-a said I'ma going. Quit asking".
The Noise eyes him for a moment before letting go.
"You better close up soon then." he threatens, composing himself before heading out the door. Peppino sighs. He really wasn't in the mood. All he wanted to do was to just close, clean, and go home. He didn't feel like being around you especially, it already hurt to blow you off while he was working. Although with the others there, Peppino could use that as a means to avoid you.
He steps into the backroom where Gustavo was restocking the shelves.
"Gustavo help-a me close so we can go get ready".
"Ready for what?"
Peppino stares confused at him. "The 'get together' tonight? The one the Noise and his girlfriend came in and invited us to yesterday"?
Gustavo shrugs. "First I've heard of it. Why don't you just go now? I can keep the restaurant open so we don't have to close early." he added.
Well that's weird. Why didn't they invite Gustavo? "Are you sure"?
"Yep. Go have fun. Brick and I will clean up too."
Peppino paused on his way out, turning around "Don't forget-"
"We'll make sure Bruno stays out of the trash. And the shrimp".
"Grazie".
Gustavo waits until he hears Peppino's footsteps grow fainter. As he hears the door shut Gustavo takes his phone out of his pocket and searches through his contacts. Finding "Noisette" he begins tapping out a message;
"Peppino just left. Good luck" and presses send.
Mio dios if this didn't work, Gustavo was on board with Option B. He'd even supply a blanket.
*** Saturday 7:04 p.m.
You fidget idly with the napkin in your lap. As of right now, no one else had shown up so it was just you, Noise, and Noisette. You desperately pray that it's not just going to be you and the psychotic duo tonight.
"Where is-a everyone?" the familiar voice makes you jump. You turn and see Peppino standing off to the side.
The Noise shrugs "No one else showed".
You stare at Peppino as he slides into the booth beside you. He wasn't in his work clothes or even the casual ones when you hung out. You stare, admiring how nice he looked in the button up shirt.
Your eyes widen slightly, realizing he had been staring back at you. You smile softly at him and he responds with one of his own.
"Yay! Double date!" Noisette claps her hands, you both recoil.
"We're not-a dating!" Peppino snaps, sliding a few inches away from you.
"Don't be ridiculous!" You had a sinking feeling this was going to happen all night.
Noise's expression changes as he glowers at you both. "Ok I'm fucking over this!" Noise snarls. "Go make out, get a room, and go do...what ever you freaks are into. I'll even give you the handcu-"
He was caught short as you splashed your water into his face, Noise yelping in surprise.
All eyes were on you. What could go wrong tonight? A lot. You feel the blood rush to your face, you sink into the booth feeling Peppino's gaze on you. He was offended no doubt.
Noisette cleared her throat, drawing Peppino and your's attention to him. She had a notepad open and began reading out of it.
"Y/N, you told me yesterday that you thought Peppino was cute but "don't ever repeat that".
Cute? Peppino had been called many things throughout the years. Cute was not one of them.
"And I know you have...how many confession letters? Like a dozen? You wrote but never gave to him." She continues, pointing to Peppino.
You sat there, too shocked to argue. You opened your mouth but no sound came out aside from a pitiful whine. You forgot she knew about the confession dresser.
Noisette directed her attention to Peppino now. "I found this..." In a quick motion, she sets a crumpled piece of paper onto the table and pushes it in front of you. It had your name written down, you recognized the handwriting immediately as Peppino's. Under your name was smaller writing:
Y/N
Mia Cara
Will you be mine?
"Also you admitted last week, with Gustavo as a witness, that you would like to ask Y/N out but you think "They'd have no interest in someone like you".
You gasp you turned fully to stare at him, "Why would you thi-"
"Well guess what?! It's your lucky day! You both want to be together! Yay! Go make out like Noisy said"!
You both remained silent.
"Yeah we're done here." Noise interjects, the scowl never leaving his face. "If you both needed your big ass glowing sign...there you go"!
Noise grumbles, tossing the soaked napkins down before pushing out from his seat. Noisette moves out of the booth to follow suit, she turns back around one last time, smiling and sending you a thumbs up, before catching up to Noise.
"Well..." You trail off. "Uh...would you mind taking me home? Noisette was kinda my ride".
"Si..."
* * * Saturday 7:53 p.m.
Peppino had walked you up to your home, watching as you unlock the door. Neither of you said anything to the other the entire way home.
Now you both stared at each other for what felt like hours. You were home, you could go in now. Instead your feet remained rooted in place, until you said something just above a whisper.
"I don't want to pretend anymore." Your eyes flick to the ground for a moment before sucking in a breath. "I really like you." you say, "And I do think your cute, handsome even, and I love when we hang out. So maybe we-"
You were cut off as he kissed you. Everything had melted away except the warm caress of his lips against yours. His scent was familiar but at the same time new. Enticing.
Peppino drew back with a shaky breath, face flushed. Your eyes meet his as if searching for something. The next moment you grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him back in for another kiss. You tug him through the door into your home. Peppino wraps an arm around your waist holding you securely against him. With his free hand he cups your face, thumb gently stroking your cheek.
You clasp a hand against the back of his neck, pressing your other hand against his chest. In response he deepens the kiss, tangling his hand into your hair. You find yourself pinned between Peppino and the wall. The kiss had started slowly as if to savor this moment, then you feel his tongue gently graze your lips. This kiss was everything you both had wanted to say. "I want you. Will you be mine? I need you in my life" it was intoxicating. Every touch against each other compensating for all the times you didn't just reach out.
You lean into him, feeling your heart racing and his as well. Both your hands clasped against his neck for support as your legs grew weak. His hands trail down your sides before firmly holding your hips.
He pulls you away from the wall, carefully moving you both back towards the couch. You feel yourself lean back into the cushions as Peppino pulls away. The only sound was your shallow breaths and the feeling the heat radiating from each other. You feel him gently pressing his weight on you, his gaze softening as he came back down, lips once again meeting yours with his hands finding yours as you weave your fingers together.
Now that you knew what you'd been missing, you had a lot of catching up to do.
Sorry this took so long to post lol. I lost progress on this twice when my draft didn't save. 💀

Killing Butterflies (Part 8: Hard Truths cut Both Ways)
A/N: It's been so long since I've written this story omg (or anything for that matter). Ngl, I wasn't sure if I should make things go this way or another way or whatever, but I feel like this is closest to what I had envisioned! This chapter is mainly Takasugi-centric and there will be a bonus A/N at the end to explain something. Hope you enjoy and that the route I chose didn't disappoint!
Warnings: Again tons of violence, emotional abuse and a fuckton of angst.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 7
gotta reinforce my shinsuke manga screenshot collection ;-; even from this angle he looks so good tho :3
The first thing to capture your attention upon entering the final room at the end of the corridor, was the sliding paper doors that separated the space into two parts. Closest to the entrance stood a short legged table, decorated by a single quill, and a paper blank of any words, while on the side of the window laid the creased sheets of a futon.
Unlike the rest of the rooms you got to see during your rather prolonged stay in his ship, this one resembled home the most. From the wooden finishes of the few furniture, to the earthy tones of the walls, this room could only belong to someone with great knowledge of Edo’s traditions.
And that was when it finally dawned on you. This was no ordinary room. This was his room. The room he lunched and dined in. The room he devised tactics and wrote lengthy letters in. The room he slept and sought refuge in, whenever the weight of this world felt too heavy for him to shoulder.
You wondered how many times he’d gazed outside that window. How many sleepless nights he’d spent contemplating over the past and the future and everything in between. You could easily see him leaning with his back against the frame, foggy smoke pouring out his lips only to clash with the panes. A reminiscent of the time he spent under the shade of your estate’s old cherry tree. Old habits die hard, after all.
Moving onto the other side of the room, your fingers traced a long line along the dusty surface of his desk. Did he use it often, you wondered. You’d never thought of him as the scholarly type, but then again he always spent his free time reading. Did he insist on flipping through the pages of the same rusty green book, or had his interests perhaps shifted?
The hushed shamisen behind the table suggested this much. Your hand ghosted over its neck, imagining a gloomy melody to accompany the monsoon. Even in there, the rain kept haunting you both, foreshadowing what was to come.
“If you are done inspecting-” His words were cut in half by a foul strum. You’d nearly forgotten of his presence, along with the reason behind you being in there. This was no field trip, but your chance at getting a taste of the truth.
Stepping away from the shamisen, you turned around to face him. He was standing by the futon, his yukata barely draped over his torso as he cautiously tugged at the wrappings, tearing them off his body one by one.
You watched his every move with bated breath, silently sharing his distress while he struggled to replace the bloodied bandages. He seemed to be in much greater pain than he previously was, repeatedly grunting in frustration and wincing at his own touch.
But even so, he didn’t dare ask for help. He kept inconveniencing himself over and over again, until the sight of his suffering became too much for you to ignore, and you rushed to his aid.
Takasugi quirked a brow at your gesture, evidently taken by surprise. At this point, keeping appearances up didn’t sound right. Whether you cared enough to admit your feelings for one another, he kissed you and you kissed him back, and that remained the sole fact you were certain of. Helping him out when he was in such pain seemed only reasonable.
The wound itself didn’t look so bad. Other than a minor thread coming loose, his stitches seemed intact for the most part, with only bits of dried up blood lacing his abdomen. You grabbed a clean gauze, cutting it in half and then gently wiping him clean. He was compliant enough to stand still, although, whenever your fingers hovered too close, you could feel his muscles tense up.
“You don’t have to do this.” Takasugi mumbled through gritted teeth.
He was right. You didn’t have to bother. But when you thought of how he’d done the same thing for you a little while ago, you couldn’t help it. Your injury was because of him, and now his injury was because of you. It was only fair you got even.
Ignoring his suggestion, you spotted a spare roll of bandage through the slew of medical supplies. Even when your expertise was next to nothing, this much you could do. Placing a palm upon his waist, you stilled him enough to wrap the first layer of bandage around him, followed by another, and then another, until the entire roll was used.
Come to think of it, this was the first time you saw him bare himself like that. He had no qualms about flaunting his body left and right, but when it came down to you actually touching him, this was a first for you both.
Every curve, every peak. The firmness of his chest and the softness of his stomach. You got to experience all that as you mindlessly trailed your fingers along his toned physique. You’d like to think you were doing him great service by fixing him up, but at the same time, you couldn’t refute that part of you enjoyed this. Just how you’d enjoyed the way his hands took hold of your cheeks, just how you’d enjoyed the way his lips crashed against your own mere moments ago.
“I think you can take it from here.”
You stopped before your thoughts could escalate, first averting your gaze and then you steps away from him. Last thing you wanted was to be ridiculed over your reactions. It was only natural that in such situation you’d fail to keep your cool, especially when it involved Takasugi of all people.
After a while of you refusing to face him and him working on his attire, you heard some light rattling from his direction, though you didn’t have the courage to check on the sound just yet. For now, being away from him was all you needed, and so, you let things be.
“Tea?” He more or less announced, as he presented you with two ceramic cups.
Explains all the commotion.
You hesitated to accept, but seeing as there wasn’t much of a choice, you went along. Rainy days did call for hot beverages, and you couldn’t even remember when was the last time you had something that wasn’t preheated.
The warmth was much appreciated, however, the fishy smell emitted by its murky depths made you reconsider. It wasn’t as if he was trying to poison you, right?
Or that’s what you wanted to believe, up until you took the first sip. Horrible was an understatement. It tasted as if someone had combined the world’s worst ingredients and scorched them till they burnt.
Immediately, you cringed away, battling the urge to spit it back in, while Takasugi huffed in amusement, having downed his own share in one go. How could he offer you such a thing? And more importantly, how could he afford to drink it himself?
“What’s in there?” You spelled in between coughs.
“Not poison, that’s for sure.”
You scowled at his antics and he smirked at your reaction, finding great satisfaction in how your tongue repeatedly clicked against your mouth’s roof, desperately trying to rid itself of the foul bitterness.
“Couldn’t you have offered some Yagult instead…”
“Yakult.” Takasugi corrected without thinking twice.
The two of you shared a look. So much had changed over the years, yet in just one day, you’d both let your guard down almost completely. It was easy to joke around and tease each other as if nothing had ever gone wrong. It was so easy that honestly, it scared you. Taking care of him, sharing a laugh with him, loving him. All those things felt much easier than hating and resenting him.
It was time.
“Sit down.” He instructed, pointing at a floor cushion before moving to his desk.
You did as you were told, bracing yourself for what was probably going to be the hardest conversation of your life.
There were so many questions you meant to ask. Answers that once given, would only cause you more heartache. Still, it had to be done. No matter what he had to say, you would listen and you would accept, and coming out of this room, you’d finally start to heal.
Takasugi returned with a light yellow folder, one you’d certainly seen before, despite being unable to place in your memory. It looked worn out, half torn at the seams, but still intact for you to read the name on the front page; Tsugaru Michihiru
“What’s this?” Your heart tightened within your chest.
“Why don’t you see for yourself.” He suggested, sliding the folder across the tatami.
You took it in your hands, fingers brushing over the dried ink of your father’s name. You remembered now. He used to hold onto this folder, continuously scribbling words in its pages when he thought himself alone.
Once, you’d jokingly taken hold of it, but before you had the chance to do so much as take a peek, he apprehended you. What was it that he said? That it’s improper to look into others’ journals? It must have been something along these lines. However once you started going through the pages, you realized how far from the truth you were.
It appeared to be a ledger of some sorts. A list that went on and on, featuring names you’d never heard or seen before. Some were underlined, others were crossed, while others had completely faded into incomprehensible ink stains. You honestly couldn’t make much of it. Any of it, for that matter.
“Who are these people?”
“These are the names of people I once happened to know. People I once worked with. People who were, but no longer are.” Takasugi said, bitterness waning past his words.
“What happened to them?” You already knew the answer.
Your eyes locked in with his, expecting something that would prove you wrong. For so long you’d lived revering your father and his memory. He was a good man, a great man even, one who worked hard to help peace prevail, one who helped people. He was your father after all. There is no way he could-. There’s absolutely no way he could have ever done something like this.
“Sometimes life isn’t as simple as a story, Y/N. Sometimes, rather than noble samurais and just magistrates, you encounter vicious beasts who seek to destroy everything in their passage, and greedy villains who seek to exploit till there is nothing left. Unfortunately, you had to face both in just one life.” He said, grabbing the ledger from your hands and then pointing you at the final page.
A couple of letters were caught in between the endpaper and the cover. It was unclear who the recipient was, but the sender remained the same, his name engulfed by the golden peony seal.
“Tsugaru Michihiru was the one responsible for every one of their deaths. Not the Amanto, not the war. He and the government of puppets that backs the Bakufu up is what killed these men.” Takasugi flipped through the pages again, pointing at a name.
“I remember this one. His folks thanked me for keeping their son safe, only to see his head on display not long after. I heard the old lady was driven mad by the sight and took her life a few days later. Can you imagine it, Y/N? Can you imagine the horror on their faces? The horror of seeing their son’s corpse paraded around as if he were a traitor?”
You winced away from his words, finding the picture he described too horrid for your brain to process.
Was it true that your father was responsible for their deaths? That he could really do such a vile thing as order these war heroes be executed for no reason at all? You wanted to deny his claims, to argue against such fabrications. It’s easier to dispute the claims of a liar and a murderer, but if everything Takasugi presented was the case, you wouldn’t know who to trust anymore.
“Are you still insistent on hearing my truth?”
And slowly, you nodded.
Sandals clicking against hardwood. One step following the other into the hollow corridor, steps defined by both certainty and impatience. No matter how many years had gone by, for Takasugi, the memory of that day remained rather intact, vivid as if it were yesterday. With the fingers of his left hand clenched tight around a small red-lidded bottle, and his right fist ghosting over the doorknob, he contemplated whether to enter the room, or not.
It was a quarter past twelve; precisely six hours since you parted.
All night long, his persistence had kept him from getting a wink of sleep, as he merely settled for the comfort your body offered his. He wanted to savor that moment. To imprint each color of the sky as it crossed over your features, so that he never forgets. So that it lasts him a lifetime.
One night only, and that was it.
The end of your regrettably short love story came with his carrying you into your chambers. Carefully, he replaced his yukata with your duvet’s cover, making sure no limb was left to dangle. You were so docile while sleeping. Nothing like the typhoon of a girl that swept everything in her wake.
But even in your sleep, you didn’t stop reaching out to him. Your hands kept tagging at his sleeves and fingers, begging for him to stay, and honestly, he would. He wanted to. There was nowhere else he’d rather be, than by your side. No other sight he’d rather behold, than the one before his eye.
When he thought of how the first thing you’d do upon waking up would be to search for him, he wished to be found next to you. To take in each and every one of your confused, yet cute expressions once you’d realize he’d been there all along.
Would you hide yourself from him? Jumble your words and turn bright red? Or would you be shameless enough to scoot closer and curl in his arms? Both sounded equal parts endearing, and while he couldn’t decide on your reaction, he was certain of his own.
He wanted you. He wanted to kiss you, touch you, have you, worship you, defile you. He wanted you to call out his name in between heavy breathings and light whisperings. He wanted your clothes to carry the scent of him every morning, only for it to be rewritten every night. He wanted you to be his in each and every way a man could possibly hope to possess a woman.
One night with you was all it took to incite his greed. To make him wish he could have another, and then another, until he’d spent a thousand nights holding onto you. But even then, he knew that wouldn’t be enough. Even then, he’d keep on asking for one more, until his every night was shared with you; filled by you.
A sudden pang of remorse in his chest forced him still. What was he doing? What was he thinking? He’d come to terms with the idea of letting you go. He was confident that when he dropped you off this morning, he’d made it to the finishing line, yet somehow, his feet had dragged him back to your door-only this time, with a token of his affection in hand.
He could argue that he was simply honoring a promise; that you’d earned it. Perhaps that was the sole lie he wouldn’t feel guilty of.
“Takasugi-dono?” A somewhat familiar voice made the smile drop from his lips.
The old spinster who served as your attendant stood behind him, her sharp hawk-like eyes boring in his own. This wasn’t the first time, he noted. Even when the two had exchanged no more than a few words, he’d always found her staring at him with nothing but contempt.
Contempt, as if he were a disappointment. Contempt, as if she disapproved of his very existence. Contempt, which felt oddly familiar, and that was when he realized. Her eyes were the same as his father’s.
“Are you here to see the young miss?”
His glance traveled between his fist and the door. What else could he be standing here for?
“What if I am?” He asked in a defiant tone.
“In that case, I must inform you that Lady Y/N is still in deep slumber. Courtesy of your late night get-together.” She was quick to add.
“Is she?” He crossed his arms over his chest.
It wasn’t surprising that the alcohol did a number on you. Someone as inexperienced downing about half a bottle of sake shouldn’t hope to get away with no consequences. Besides, spending an entire day asleep beats having to with the excruciating headache of your first inebriation.
Forget acting all coy or shameless. You’d most definitely throw a fit if you woke up in the same bed, accusing him for your faults as if they were his own; as if he got you drunk on purpose. That seemed more in line with your character.
Without being too aware of it, Takasugi found himself smirking at the image, agitating the woman even more. To think that someone his age,- someone she couldn’t even discipline-, dared treat her with such impertinence, had Harumi throwing one furious huff after the other.
“I know you are but a mere guest. However, this house has a certain order; certain rules that ought to be followed by everyone, guests included.” Her semi stunned expression persisted even as she recited the clan’s doctrine.
He was beginning to regret his visit. Decorum and protocols were of little interest to him, and there was no reason to pretend otherwise.
“I’ll keep it in mind.”
Seeing as there was nothing left to be said, he was about to get going, when Harumi stood in his way. For a woman who detested him, she appeared awfully desperate to keep this joke of a conversation flowing.
“Takasugi-dono, pardon my intrusion for I must ask.” She initiated, awkwardly clicking the heels of her shoes together. “What are your intentions?”
“My intentions?” He repeated. Surely that old hag hadn’t caught up to him, right?
“What are your intentions regarding young miss? How far has the relationship between you two progressed?”
So that’s what it’s all about.
“Are you asking me whether I’ve yet to deflower her?” He sneered, earning himself another, more infuriated call out of his name.
Making others uncomfortable for the sake of dodging such difficult topics was second nature to him. A haughty suggestion here, a vexing comment there, and no man who valued his sanity enough would insist on receiving answers. Still, it didn’t seem as if that’d be the case here. If anything, the resolve in Harumi’s eyes burned brighter than before, at last, earning a fraction of his attention.
“Lady Y/N isn’t someone you can fool around with. She might be our clan’s treasured heir, but she remains a young girl. An impressionable one, at that.” Harumi clasped her hands against her stomach.
“You’ve certainly been in her company long enough to realize how she differs from girls her age. Notably, girls her status. She possesses a certain childlike quality that doesn’t befit the harsh reality of society. Such… innocence is most endearing, but the naivety that comes with it is quite alarming.
“Young miss was deprived of a normal childhood. For the longest time, she’s remained sheltered by these four walls, as if she were a songbird entrapped within a cage. One that’s been taught when and how to sing, as well as when and how to keep quiet, if needed.
“Perhaps, my inquisition seems out of the ordinary, if not uncalled for. But the reason behind my words is of grave importance, I assure you. After a lifetime of serving young miss, it troubles me to admit that my sermon and admonition resonate with her no longer. Ever since she met you, she’s been chirping new tunes, and for the first time, she’s dared express her will to fly.
“Takasugi-dono, I’d much rather not interfere with my employer’s personal affairs. As the clan’s most senior retainer, it is my duty to see Lord Tsugaru’s plans through. However, as Lady Y/N’s most trusted companion, I solemnly wish for her happiness.
“You see, young miss is quite fond of you. She speaks of you as if you put the stars in the sky, and in spite of her recent defiance, she’s been far livelier than before. I know little of romance myself, but I know when I see true happiness. If your encounter caused such happiness to sprout, then I can only imagine how a potential union would contribute to its growth.
“Do you share that sentiment, Takasugi-dono? Do you cherish young miss the way she cherishes you?”
Cherish you. That was a way to put it. Would someone who cherishes another really mean to hurt them like this? Would they come knocking at their door like the grim reaper and threaten to take all that was theirs? Would they have no qualms about leaving them in shambles? Could someone like that truly claim to cherish another?
Someone like that was incapable of such profound statements, yet his hesitation suggested otherwise. If he was as indifferent as he thought, then why was he standing there? Why was insistent to hear the ramblings of some nosy crone? Why was he not putting an end to this charade?
Maybe cherish was too small of a word to express his adoration.
“Takasugi-dono?”
Her voice caught him off guard. Not because he was lost in his thoughts or anything, but because of how mellow it suddenly became. When she spoke of you, her entire demeanor shifted. All those formalities he abhorred had given way to genuine concern, and in place of that shrewd look, a far gentler expression embellished her features.
He was wrong, he realized. Those weren’t the eyes of an imposing father anymore, but those of a considerate mother.
“Interesting. Very interesting.” A strained chuckle was caught in his throat. “A formalist retainer who’s willing to go against the very rules she’s sworn to preserve, and all in the name of feeble sentiment. Truly interesting.”
“There is more than meets the eye, Takasugi-dono. My affiliation to Lady Y/N runs far deeper than any conviction or oath does.”
“Your loyalty is quite admirable, but you haven’t considered what entrusting me with that girl’s precious future entails, have you?” He asked, expecting no answer.
“A domesticated bird in the wild can only be as good as one with its wings plucked out. No matter how fervently it flaps them together, it’s pointless if it can never reach the skies and soar beyond. For someone like her, the ends of her cage mark the ends of her potential, and that’s precisely why there’s no survival for her outside that cage. Only fall.”
For a moment, it looked as if the woman was about to object, and for that, he couldn’t blame her. Not when he didn’t mean a single word he uttered. Hypocrisy was an intolerable flaw, but in this case, hypocrisy was the only way out. For him, and for you.
The steps of a third person filled in the short-lived silence, revealing the figure of a man Takasugi recognized to be one of Tsugaru’s personal guards. His worn out eyes eclipsed past the dusty gray of his hair, depriving them of a clear look at his face.
“Tsugaru-sama has called for you.” He said in an abrupt manner before slightly distancing himself from the two.
Glancing at the door a final time, Takasugi slid the bottle back inside his sleeve. This is for the best. It was never meant to be, after all.
“Stop wasting your breath on me.” He directed to Harumi. “Whether you plan on transferring Y/N from one cage to another, beats me. I don’t intend to stick around long enough to see the end of it, either way.”
And so, his steps echoed more hollow than before.
In the company of the guard, Takasugi began to wonder; had the second floor always been this vacant?
The perfectly polished image of the corridor- porcelain vases on each side, expensive crystal chandeliers that seemed more akin to a western household, and lastly, a handmade carpet of 1200 combs- implied the opposite. Still, he couldn’t quite get that visceral feeling out of his system. Something about this place felt unnatural, if not unnerving.
Door after door, tile after tile, and the only people they encountered came to be their own reflections glaring at them from inside the windows. No one was around. No maid to wipe the non-existent dust off the picture frames, and no guard to assume the duty of a watchdog. Everything was quiet, and while he knew to appreciate a moment of peace, he could tell there lied purpose in the silence.
Suddenly he stopped. The last sliver of sound was gone the moment his feet stayed put, little by little confirming his suspicions. He took one step and then another. And then he skipped two more, just to make sure. There wasn’t a single fall out in the rhythm. No second footing to obscure his.
Each step the guard took was perfectly attuned to his own, matching the pace down to the light grazing of his sandals. A predator’s imperfect attempt of lowering his prey’s defenses, something of which a mere sword-for-hire could never be capable of.
By the time they reached the end of the second hallway, Takasugi became certain of two things; The first being that, however great his disguise, this man hardly was the one he impersonated, and the second being, that today would be his last day in this place.
The time to show his hand had finally come.
“That’d be enough.” He waved dismissively. “I don’t need further escort.”
“Tsugaru-sama was adamant. I am to personally bring you to his office.”
“And so you have. But I suppose your orders don’t conclude there, do they?”
Not until you escort me to Sanju river, that is.
“I’ve heard of your organization’s special services, although I didn’t expect to be on the receiving end so soon.” A smile masked the gentle gesture of his fingers as they swiftly grasped the hilt of his sword. “Oniwaban.”
Without giving him the chance to react, Takasugi forced his blade through the center of the man’s chest, impaling him all the way through. Despair glinted in his eyes, while his lips remained pursed in a straight line, refusing to betray further emotion. He didn’t try to to scream nor fight back. The moment he realized what was coming, he quietly embraced his destiny. That was Oniwabanshu’s not-so-finest for you.
Perhaps taking down the Bakufu wouldn’t be as much of a struggle as he originally thought it’d be.
In one rapid move, Takasugi yanked the sword out, letting the body collapse onto the floor. A thud followed in its stead, putting an end to the pretense of silence along with the man’s life.
He looked at him. He looked at his face, the face that wasn’t even his, and for a second, he was tempted to pull at the invisible strings of his façade, but he held back. Whether he got to peek at his real identity or not, it didn’t matter. He’d quit of counting faces and keeping score a long time ago. This was nothing but a drop of blood in a path carved by carnage.
Shaking his sword clean, Takasugi rose back to his feet. One shinobi was hardly gonna be the end of it, and judging by the ease of which he fell, the second batch was bound to be stronger. He turned around, readying himself for an attack that wouldn’t come just yet. Instead, he was met with the horrified expression of the incident’s sole witness.
Trembling hands covered gaping lips, failing to truly conceal the terror in their owner’s eyes. The whites had blended with the paleness of her complexion in a manner that was unsightly, though not unsightly enough to compete with the spectacle beyond.
“What have you done?”, was what he’d imagine Harumi saying, if words could come out of the meddlesome attendant’s mouth. She was at loss. Even when her right index managed to point at the lifeless body, no such comment or shriek was formed. She simply stood there, utterly frozen in time
But he wasn’t.
“Take Y/N and get the hell out of here.”
“Wh-what?”
“There’s no time for explanations. If you don’t want to join him, then do as you’re told.” He coaxed, turning his sword in her direction. “Now!”
To threaten an unarmed woman -one that he very much knew you regarded as family- meant hitting new lows, even for him. But what else was there to do? As unlikely as the possibility of them touching a hair on your head sounded, he couldn’t deny you wouldn’t try anything stupid, and the last thing he needed was to worry about your safety while duking it out with paid assassins.
Whether Harumi saw him as a monster, he couldn’t care less. Right now, he wanted her gone, and you to be gone with her. If scaring her into leaving was all it took, then so be it.
Fortunately, the direness of the situation seemed to have caught up with her. That or, his bluff finally did the trick. Either way, Harumi’s inner conflict had reached a dead-end. She could stay in place and test the sincerity of his words herself, or she could make a run for it and risk far less than she would by challenging him upfront.
What empty threats could not affirm, the corpse sprawling before her feet attested. Only one real option remained for her to choose from, and so, she got moving before Takasugi could change his mind.
Relieved, he allowed himself the privilege of a sigh. He didn’t trust that woman one bit, but should it come down to it, he trusted that she wouldn’t hesitate to put her life on the line for you.
Still, that wasn’t to say he was completely unbothered. The fear with which she looked at him kept haunting him long after she was gone, making him ponder whether that’d be the only look others would spare him from now on. Whether one day, that’d be the only look you’d spare for him, and that alone was enough to weaken the grip on his sword.
How foolish, he mumbled, staring down at his hands. He never really cared about how others perceived him, yet he’d been so used to that unconditional puppy love of yours that the thought of losing it scared him.
The rustling of the leaves grew louder, drawing his attention to the window. A lone reflection stood there, slowly turning its back on him as he pulled himself together. They were coming. He couldn’t tell where from or how many it was, but he knew for a fact this was no time for self-pitying.
Gritted teeth turned into a brazen smile and hesitant fingers locked into decisive fists.
They are here.
Stepping among scattered corpses and broken pieces of ceramic, the hallway’s refined image had long faded into oblivion. Metallic skeletons hung naked from the skies, the invaluable gems that once bejeweled them reduced to stardust that continuously fed into the sea of blood below, one that Takasugi was determined to traverse.
With his sword serving as paddle, he hushed the leftover groans and whimperings of those around him. It was a fierce battle, and a close one too. A single misstep was all it’d take for him to meet his demise, though perhaps it’d be better if he did. At least then, your tears would be for him and not because of him.
But even with that thought in mind, he couldn’t bring himself to die there. He fought valiantly till he was the last one standing, because deep in his heart, he knew he could never give up.
Those who’d fallen in battle would never return. Sensei would never…
He owed it to each and every one of them to keep on going. To show the world the samurai had all but gotten wiped out, though that wasn’t quite right either. His cause wasn’t so noble. In the end, all he wanted was to curse, and thrash, and destroy everything that got in his way, until he’d have no anger left to pound the world with.
Fury was what led him to your father’s office, and fury was what made him push that door wide open. For so long he’d held back, but there was no reason to anymore. Bakufu was about to take its first punch in the guts, and Tsugaru Michihiru would finally pay for his countless crimes.
The man in question was seated in the middle of the tatami. His hands were placed atop his knees, and a tanto knife rested on a low stand in front of him. Dressed in white garments from head to toes, he’d painted quite an image for himself, one that perfectly matched his little seppuku theatrics. Except of his snide grin, that is.
“You’ve made it!” He said in excitement. “Those damn crows insisted there was nothing left of that man, but I’m seeing the living proof with my own two eyes. Takasugi Shinsuke, commander of the Kiheitai and Yoshida Shouyou’s disciple, you’ve exceeded my expectations. Pleasure meeting you, at last.”
“So you knew.” Takasugi smirked. “Guess Tsugaru Michihiru is more than the pawns I just broke.”
“Your words are flattering, but I’m afraid I lack the battle prowess.”
“Is that the reason for the act?” He nodded towards the knife. “Didn’t take you for the type to give up so easily.”
“Give up?” Tsugaru laughed. “Not quite. Considering the role of the kaishakunin was taken, I simply thought I’d assume that of a daimyo myself. Isn’t that how it went down between Hideyoshi and the disgraced Hojo clan?”
“As far as I’m concerned, Hideyoshi merely instigated Hojo’s suicide. I intend to end you with my own two hands.” Takasugi sternly replied.
“Such hateful words! One would think that after months in my care, at least some warm feelings would remain.”
“Don’t deceive yourself into thinking I ever warmed up to you.”
“But you warmed up plenty to my daughter, did you not?”
“How about we cut straight to the chase?” Takasugi spat through gritted teeth. “Nothing you might say will amount to a different result, so why not speed the process?”
“Oh, but there’s plenty to discuss.” He cackled, entertained as ever. “Unlike Sada Sada and the fools behind him, I consider the era of samurai far from over. It’s true that allying ourselves with the Amanto increases our chances of survival, but what’s to say they won’t go pointing their fancy canons at Edo again? Rather than disposing of our dogs, don’t you think we ought to train them harder, and keep them close, should push come to shove?”
Now was Takasugi’s turn to laugh at the outrageousness of his ideals. It was either that, or repeatedly bashing his sword into his skull till he made dog food out of his brains.
“Tsugaru, you—You actually thought that by taming me, you could use me to tear at their throats instead of yours?” He scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. “A wild beast can never be tamed. My ambitions aren’t so cheap as to be bought off with money, power, or any of the fragile things you deem important.”
“And this is what makes taming you all the more fascinating!” He countered. “Why do you think I made you tag to all those pointless meetings? Why do you think I let you in on my secrets? Why did I turn a blind eye to you mixing it up with my daughter?
“Before adopting a pet, you test its capabilities. Someone who knows about tactics; someone who uses their wits along with their sword; someone who stays dedicated to their goal no matter the distractions; someone like that, has the potential to become the finest of hounds.
“Tell me, Takasugi. Did she not move you? Did you not falter because of her? Those files you smuggled out my office, they were what you’d been after all along, right? So why is it that even when you had the means to put an end to this, you stuck around? If not for her, why did you only make your move after I made mine?
“I’ll tell you why. It’s because, even when you have no leash around your neck, your heart dictates your every move. Be it an emotion as meaningless as love, or one as powerful as vengeance itself, I want it. This sword, this heart, this spirit of yours. I want it all. Rather than you lending your strength to me, I want to consume it.
“I’ve fed you, I’ve trained you and I’ve tested you, and now it’s time both you and I got our rewards. There’s much bigger fish out there. The Shogun, the Crows, the Heavens themselves. If it’s revenge you’re seeking, then I’ll give you the means to exact it. If it’s a house, a title, a wife, or something to clear your name, I’ll offer it to you.
“Your owner lives no more. There’s no need for you to live like a ghost on his stead. As long as you sit down when I tell you to sit, and bite when I tell you to bite, I’ll make sure you achieve your goals.”
Anyone in their right mind would be tempted by the easy route Tsugaru presented. By sparing one, Takasugi could not only gain direct access to all his targets, but he could also have a real chance at a living.
He could go back to being a samurai, one of far greater prestige than his father ever dreamed for him to become. He could rid himself of the stench a traitor’s name carried, and he could even make you his wife, turning each and every one of those stupid intrusive fantasies into reality.
So much to gain, yet such empty benefits did not faze him in the slightest. If he wanted fame and riches, he wouldn’t have turned his back on his family. If he wanted a clean slate, he wouldn’t have taken this road. And if he wanted redemption, then he wouldn’t have left Gintoki and the others to pick their pieces on their own.
Those were his choices. His decisions. His mistakes. And as for you, he’d soon get to name you as another one of his regrets.
“You talk big for a man who’s about to lose everything. But you know, big words rarely translate into equal strength.” Dragging his sword against the wooden floors, Takasugi slowly approached him.
“Whether you’re another Bakufu lapdog, or the one who carries their leashes for them, it doesn’t concern me. Right now, you’re nothing but a useless mutt that’s expired its usage. To think that I would side with you-I knew it.” He paused. “Bakufu really is built upon the corpses of idiots, but don’t worry. I’ll make sure their foundations strengthen by adding one more corpse to the pile.”
“Drop your weapon!” He stuttered. “I said drop it now!”
“And I said, I have no intention to become pet to a lapdog who refuses to get his hands dirty. Where are your orders now, Tsugaru? Who’s left to follow them? Who’s left to fight for you?” He raised his sword, waving it left and then right. “There’s no one left, so quit lamenting.”
For the first time since their conversation began, Tsugaru’s complacency seemed to subdue. With his hands pushing his body backwards and his rare soon backing against the desk’s legs, he resembled more of a lamb before slaughter than a powerful faction’s daimyo.
Pitiful, pathetic and utterly powerless.
“Takasugi!” He hissed. “If you do this, know that she will never forgive you!”
“Perhaps. No, I know that she won’t.” A sorrowful smile clung onto his thoughts. “But that is fine by me. I’m counting on that. I’d much rather play the role of a heartless villain, than have her cry over a worthless father who hid behind his daughter’s name even in his final moments. Keeping this between you and me is the first and last kindness I can spare for that girl.
“So rest assured. I don’t seek the forgiveness of either one of you. What I really want is to destroy every last vermin until this house of cards you call government falls apart. Your death will be the first quake.”
In the end, all the memories he’d made, the dreams and hopes he’d shared with you, didn’t get to sway him any more than the wind swayed a mountain. Inevitably, he’d reached the same conclusion, finding himself in the same spot he was destined to stand with his blade high above his foe’s head.
This was it. The beginning of his ambitions and the ending of your own.
He stared down at Tsugaru who kept pleading for mercy with both hands and eyes however best he could. He was scared and he was angry, though he remained full of wicked pride in spite of his undoing.
A man who’d always had his way with others did not know how to lose. He didn’t know what it felt like. He didn’t possess the slightest idea as to what losing everything really was like. The demons that accompanied you through every night; the hell you were forced to walk through every day; the agony that stayed with you through an entire lifetime. He knew none of those.
And it pained Takasugi that this abomination of a man had to go without learning of any of those things, when he was forced to endure everything himself. It saddened him, and it angered him, and before he knew it, he was aiming that sword at his throat and swinging forward with all his might.
Father!
The sound was meek and frail, but it was enough to make the blood in his veins freeze within an instant.
Father!
The voice grew louder and his determination dimmer.
What kind of sick joke was this? You weren’t supposed to be there. You were supposed to follow Harumi and leave. You were supposed to be safe, you were supposed to escape, but then again, he shouldn’t have put all his eggs in one basket.
It was too late to go back, and for better or worse, that was something Tsugaru became well aware of on his own. In the blink of an eye, the man plunged forth, snatching the knife and then shoving it deep within his guts. A sinister cackle diminished to a low grunt as the slash deepened, the pits of his stomach pouring out his white kimono.
Takasugi took a step back, lowering his sword at once. His eye was glued to the man, watching as he struggled to maintain his posture. This was far from how a typical seppuku ritual goes, though Tsugaru never had any dignity or honor to begin with.
“You should know, a kaishakunin would end your suffering.” Takasugi smirked, attaching his sword back at his hip. “I’m not that honorable.”
“Even if I die at the hands of a scum, I refuse to die by their hands.” Blood spewed out his mouth, drowning his every word in crimson “Bakufu won’t fall. No matter how many snake heads you cut, rest assured that new ones will come to replace them. Bakufu will not fall that easily, it won’t-”
“Maybe not. But my aspirations were never this meager.” Takasugi interrupted. “Between the world and the Bakufu, let’s see what breaks first. Shame you won’t be around to see either.”
Tsugaru kept yapping until his words became muffled whispers behind a closed door. There was no reason for Takasugi to witness his death. Judging by the cut, the man had a little less than a few minutes’ time before succumbing to his wounds.
It was over. It really was, yet oddly, he didn’t have it in him to celebrate one bit. Not when the sound of your voice constantly rung through his ears, and certainly not when you finally entered his field of vision as an awkward bundle of limbs that tried to find their way through the darkened corridor.
You looked so lost and frightened, searching through the bodies while calling out to someone-anyone who might be alive enough to hear. Back in the city you couldn’t even stand to gaze upon those corpses, but this time, you closely examined each face as if you were searching for something.
No, you were definitely searching for something. Someone to be precise, and it broke his heart that you had to be the one to find that “someone”.
To him, Tsugaru was no more than a lowly insect in need to be disposed of, but to you, that man was the one who’d raised you. The man who’d shaped you into who you were today. The man who’d instilled his values in you. The man who meant the world to you.
Without realizing, he’d shifted from thinking about you to thinking about that damn day. Shouyou’s smile. The last words he never got to hear. Gintoki’s tearful expression as he held that sword. Katsura’s faint grunts. His own cries. And again, Shouyou’s smile.
Why did he have to smile? Why did the last thing he got to remember him by had to be that smile? Why did he have to be so compliant as to accept a death that was unjust after they’d fought for so long to free him? Why did he have to swing that blade?
The lines between who was whom and who did what became blurred in his brain. So blurred that he couldn’t follow up on any of his thoughts anymore. He was endlessly trapped in that day, and soon, you’d find yourself trapped in that day too.
Part of him wanted to jump out of the shadows, grab your hand, and take you someplace far away from all the horrors that door concealed, so that day would never come to haunt you. There was no reason for you to suffer as much as he did, but he knew best that certain pain was unavoidable.
You were one step from following in his footsteps, and if you were lucky enough, then at least you’d get to say your goodbyes. That’s more than he got.
Before you had the chance to cross paths, Takasugi hid past a half-torn folded screen, allowing for you to enter the office undisturbed. After what you’d seen, there was no stopping you, though that was exactly what you did. With your hand clenching around the knob, you hesitated as if you already knew what lied ahead, and that only tempted him to intervene.
But he didn’t.
He patiently waited for you to push that door open, and then he waited for you to say something, only to realize he hadn’t braced himself to tolerate the sound of your wailing.
He knew those tears. The desperation and sadness they carried. The feeling of utter incompetence and helplessness that went with watching everything slip from your fingertips. Tears that gradually turned into misty fog and ashen cinder. Tears he’d shed himself not too long ago.
And that was when he made up his mind. He’d had enough of this despicable sound.
“He is right. You should have never trusted me.”
“I wasn’t the one who killed your father, Y/N.” Takasugi said, breaking free of his narration. “His arrogance and greed drove him to his demise, and while his blood does not stain my sword, it stains my hands all the same. I was the trigger, and had it not been for his suicide, I would have taken his life without remorse. That is my truth, the only truth there is to the story.”
You didn’t know what to say. Even when he’d spoken in such great detail, you were none the wiser, and the longer he went on, the more you wished for him to stop.
His every word stomped on your memories, tainting and defiling them one by one till nothing of actual value remained. This monster he described couldn’t be your father, but no matter how much you waited for Takasugi to take it all back, he wouldn’t.
A single lie could never obscure the actuality of a thousand truths, nor would it ever be enough to ease the pain they brought. What your heart refused to acknowledge, your brain knew to be true. The man in the story was the same as the man who raised you, the same man who’d threatened to eliminate Takasugi all those years back, and the same man that ended up eliminating himself in the face of disgrace.
How could he do such a thing? How could either of them do such things? Your father’s death. Takasugi’s betrayal. The sorrow you felt for the one and the hatred you felt for the other. The years you’d spent in desperation over a love that never came to be and the immediate guilt that feasted upon your conscience. How could they subject you to such cruelty?
Many a times since he finished talking, you tried asking him, only to get further sucked in by the vortex of your unpolished emotions. If he wasn’t the one who killed your father, then why did he lie as if he did? Why did he run away like that? Why did he leave you behind?
Because he was the one who led him to it. Because he would have done the job himself if you hadn’t interrupted. Because after it was done and dealt with, he wanted nothing more to do with your kind. Because of you.
It hurt.
It hurt so badly that you yearned to claw the thoughts out your skull. You couldn’t even bring yourself to face him. Not without choking on your own tears, that was. Drop after drop, they slid down your cheeks and onto your palms, slowly but surely soaking the cuffs of your kimono.
Suddenly, he got up and walked to your side. He must have caught onto your crying, though he didn’t say a thing. He simply loomed as a shadow over your head, one that attempted to both console you and get you to look up, but you didn’t. You couldn’t.
And then a hand reached out to you, urging to close around your shoulder, but it didn’t. He didn’t. He couldn’t. It was as much painful to you, as it was to him, and when there was nothing either one of you could do to comfort the other, he walked again, this time towards the door.
“You can stay.” He said in a gentle tone. “Rest.”
“Was it real?” Your question was sudden and it took him by surprise.
Eyes that met halfway answered all there was to know, though you weren’t sober enough to interpret the meaning of his gaze.
And so, you rephrased.
“Was any of it real? Were we… real?”
He furrowed his brows and shut his eyes, inhaling sharply and then shaking his head, without quite denying or confirming anything.
“Rest.”
“Has anyone ever told you how heavy you are?” Takasugi complained, his arms numb from carrying your body around.
He didn’t have much of a choice. There was no other way. Lies he sought justification in for unjustifiable actions. In reality, he did have a choice, and there certainly was a better way that didn’t quite involve knocking you unconscious.
He could have stayed out of it. When you didn’t know, when you hadn’t seen him, he could have made a run for it and disappear completely. But if he did, hope would remain in his stead, and he knew all too well how dangerous hope could be.
No, this wouldn’t do. You had to be certain, and wholeheartedly believe that he was the one responsible. Only then you’d survive. Only then you’d move forward.
“Heavier than Tatsuma and that silver haired idiot, for sure.” He murmured, pressing a palm flat against the back of your head as to protect it from the banister.
Before he had the chance to move past the first step of the stairs, you shifted closer, nuzzling right into his touch. He took a quick glance at your face. Your eyes were shut and your lips were sealed. No need for him to be alerted. You were still passed out, or else you wouldn’t be cozying up to him.
It really was the last time. Even when he previously deluded himself into thinking the opposite, no room for doubt was left.
He smiled. An unhappy smile he didn’t mean in the slightest.
“You shouldn’t do that anymore.” He scolded, though he couldn’t bring himself to pull away. He was scared that if he did, he’d get used to your absence and he didn’t want that. Not now, not ever.
How was he supposed to? How was he supposed to live in a world without you? A world without your smiles. Without your laughter, without your voice, without your warmth, without everything he’d fallen in love with.
“Say, Y/N. Do you still think of us samurai as heroes?” He knew better than to wait for an answer. “You said a lot of stupid things that day, but this one struck me the most. Maybe that’s the reason why I’m doing all these unnecessary things right now. In the end, you got it your way. Is this close enough for you? Are we close enough to be sharing such painful memories together?”
“I suppose we are.” He admitted. “We should be, or else why would I volunteer to carry this heavy burden for you?”
Downstairs was about as empty as the second floor was, albeit free of the countless bodies that adorned the latter. He wondered if he should just leave you there, but you’d probably rush upstairs the minute you woke up.
Where’s that old hag when you needed her?
“Say, Y/N. If the offer still stands, then it’s not too late to confide in you, is it? In that case, listen carefully because I don’t plan on repeating myself.
“Someone once taught me; it takes more than a sword to win a fight and less than a battle to lose a war. That man-he used to say this every time I sparred with that idiot. I kept writing his words off as loser’s talk for motivation, but I think I finally understand. Even though you never won against me, it’s been a while since I lost to you.
“You don’t know what that means, do you? Even if you were actually listening, you still wouldn’t know, would you?” A chuckle broke through the eerie silence.
“How could I let myself lose to such a stupid girl?” His voice caressed your ear devoid of any malice as he leaned closer. He considered planting a kiss on your forehead right where he’d hit you, but he quickly shook the thought away.
“You should hate me.” He drew his lips back. “No matter how hard it gets from now on, you’ll only endure it if you hate me. I won’t ask you to erase me, so instead, hate me with all you have. Hate me until no other emotion remains, until you can no longer remember how to love me again. Hate me, and get your revenge. Let hatred fuel your blade, and when the day comes, lead it into my chest. I’ll be waiting. I won’t die. As long as you insist on living another day, I won’t die.” Takasugi paused, pulling the door open with one hand and holding you with the other.
Finally, you’d made it out of this hellhole.
“You were never weak, Y/N. No matter how many tears you shed now, I’m sure that next time we meet, you’ll have the means to defeat me.” He continued, pacing across the porch and towards the main gate.
The faint outline of a silhouette awaited at the end of the road. Unruly gray hair matched the woman’s frantic steps, both moving in opposite directions. He could sense Harumi’s worry from where he stood, though he couldn’t quite condone her negligence. Because of her you had to see what you otherwise wouldn’t have, and because of her he had another’s pain to shoulder.
With his destination now set, Takasugi became more unwilling to let you go than before. His arms snared around your waist, lifting your forehead against his own. He breathed in your scent, allowing it to override all senses for a moment’s time.
You smelled so divine. He doubted he could ever love anyone’s scent the way he loved yours.
“If I don’t let you go right now, I don’t think I’ll ever will, Y/N.” He mumbled, feeling his heart flatter at the notion. “I just might be selfish enough to force you to love me like you always have. Like I always have. Like I… love you.”
Admitting it was far more painful than keeping it to himself was, though he couldn’t deny it to be liberating. At least now he knew what saying those three words out loud really felt like.
Lowering your head from his, he began to move again, until Harumi became aware of his presence. Hurried movements succeeded incomprehensible shrieks as she took hold of you, not so gently browsing your body for injuries and then sighing in relief once she realized you got none.
“Tell her I-” He initiated, only to nod the rest of his sentence off. “Tell her that I did this. All this.”
Without lingering a second longer, Takasugi let himself be guided by the first gust of wind away from there. So long as he left this place behind, the destination matter not.
And so, he kept on walking, and he kept on sprinting, and he kept on dragging his feet forward until the streets thinned and the trees densened. Until the sun set behind him and the winds stop carrying him forward. Until your story ended and a new one began.
A/N: Some of you may wonder why there seems to be a difference between what FL remembers (as per chapter 1) and what actually happened. I never meant for the dream she had in c1 to be a 1:1 description of how things went down. Memories get distorted over time, especially when they are traumatic. So, nope, Takasugi didn't stab her, there wasn't any smoke, the bloodshed was restricted to the top floor and those who died were mostly Oniwaban if not for a few actual guards here and there.
Anyways, that's about it for this chapter! The way I see it, about two chapters remain, tops three but I doubt that. I'm looking forward to ending this story because writing full on angst stories takes its toll on me, but at the same time, I don't intend to rush it. Will however take a short break before chapter 9 so I can do some requests.

Pressing on with the great Good Omens read-through, I do believe I've imprinted on our Newt Pulsifer; or at least identified with him to a perhaps extreme degree.
He's just some guy, you know? Looking for a job, he winds up working for Shadwell for a pittance. Bored and more than a bit stultified by being locked in a small room with his nonsense, he grasps at the chance to run an errand and even volunteers to pay his own way. I get it; we've all been in an office where the walls are closing in a bit and we jump at the chance to make a Starbucks run for everyone. And then:
Firstly, however, Newt had to do something about the flying saucer. It landed in the road ahead of him just as he was trying to find the Lower Tadfield turning and had the map spread over the steering wheel. He had to brake hard. It looked like every cartoon of a flying saucer Newt had ever seen. As he stared over the top of his map, a door in the saucer slid aside with a satisfying whoosh, revealing a gleaming walkway which extended automatically down to the road. Brilliant blue light shone out, outlining three alien shapes. They walked down the ramp. At least, two of them walked. The one that looked like a pepper pot just skidded down it, and fell over at the bottom. The other two ignored its frantic beeping and walked over to the car quite slowly, in the worldwide approved manner of policemen already compiling the charge sheet in their heads. The tallest one, a yellow toad dressed in kitchen foil, rapped on Newt's window. He wound it down. The thing was wearing the kind of mirror-finished sunglasses that Newt always thought of as Cool Hand Luke shades. "Morning, sir or madam or neuter," the thing said. "This your planet, is it?" The other alien, which was stubby and green, had wandered off into the woods by the side of the road. Out of the corner of his eye Newt saw it kick a tree, and then run a leaf through some complicated gadget on its belt. It didn't look very pleased. "Well, yes. I suppose so," he said. The toad stared thoughtfully at the skyline. "Had it long, have we, sir?" it said. "Er. Not personally. I mean, as a species, about half a million years. I think." The alien exchanged glances with its colleague. "Been letting the old acid rain build up, haven't we, sir?" it said. "Been letting ourselves go a bit with the old hydrocarbons, perhaps?" "I'm sorry?" "Could you tell me your planet's albedo, sir?" said the toad, still staring levelly at the horizon as though it was doing something interesting. "Er. No." "Well, I'm sorry to have to tell you, sir, that your polar ice caps are below regulation size for a planet of this category, sir." "Oh, dear," said Newt. He was wondering who he could tell about this, and realizing that there was absolutely no one who would believe him. The toad bent closer. It seemed to be worried about something, insofar as Newt was any judge of the expressions of an alien race he'd never encountered before. "We'll overlook it on this occasion, sir." Newt gabbled. "Oh. Er. I'll see to it-well, when I say I, I mean, I think Antarctica or something belongs to every country, or something, and-" "The fact is, sir, that we have been asked to give you a message." "Oh?" "Message runs 'We give you a message of universal peace and cosmic harmony an' suchlike.' Message ends," said the toad. "Oh." Newt turned this over in his mind. "Oh. That's very kind." "Have you got any idea why we have been asked to bring you this message, sir?" said the toad. Newt brightened. "Well, er, I suppose," he flailed, "what with Mankind's, er, harnessing of the atom and-" "Neither have we, sir." The toad stood up. "One of them phenomena, I expect. Well, we'd better be going." It shook its head vaguely, turned around and waddled back to the saucer without another word. Newt stuck his head out of the window. "Thank you!" The small alien walked past the car. "CO2 level up 0.5 percent," it rasped, giving him a meaningful look. "You do know you could find yourself charged with being a dominant species while under the influence of impulse-driven consumerism, don't you?"
The two of them righted the third alien, dragged it back up the ramp, and shut the door. Newt waited for a while, in case there were any spectacular light displays, but it just stood there. Evnetually he drove up on the verge and around it. When he looked in his rear-view mirror it had gone. I must be overdoing something, he thought guiltily. But what? And I can't even tell Shadwell, because he'd probably bawl me out for not counting their nipples.
I mean, what the heck is he supposed to do with all that? That's kind of the point at the end of the day. We are all Newt's, I guess, and what can any of us do, either on our own or to escalate it to someone who actually has the ability to respond? It's kind of a reminder of just how young Adam is, to imagine a response to all the environmenta damage that was really that straightforward and simply-handled. And he is that young, and the world really is that complicated (and therefore so thoroughly screwed). Not that there's not work to do or hope for improvement, but it's certainly not so simple as delivering a police citation.
But it's also just hilarious. Poor, poor Newt.
**************
On a different note, the bit about Agnes Nutter was really interesting. I think she cursed God (or its functional equivalent at least) for acting when They didn't really understand the issues at play. But I'm going to have to think about just what's going on with that little reference, probably reread it,, or more likely than not move on without fully unpacking it, because life is busy and I am a tired little Marta these days. But there's most definitely something going on there.
There's also something fascinating about Agnes's acceptance of the label 'witch': For wytch I am, for soe I am judged, yette I knoe not what my true Cryme may be. She's not scared of the word but precisely because it only means others attached it to her and she's not done anything wrong (quite the contrary, she's quite clearheaded and is mostly known for having helped her neighbors live more healthily), the word itself doesn't mean anythin bad.
She's a bit fearless, isn't she? Or at least has a broader view by virtue of her foresight. A badass certainly. I do hope we get more snippets about her as the story progresses.

Birthday Surprise
Pairing: Lucifer x Margarette Camellia (OC)
Genre: Fluff
Summary: Lucifer is suspicious of how Camellia's been acting these past few days. Hopefully, he won't find out what she's preparing before the big day.
A/N: Happiest birthday to the love of my life!! I've been thinking of what to write for Lucifer's birthday and coincidentally, the birthday story in NB is quite similar to what I have imagined (yes, let us have our date with Lucifer without interruptions!!)
So without further ado, I hope you enjoy the story!
Warning: Spoilers on Lucifer's birthday story; not proofread (so there's probably some grammatical errors)
MASTERLIST
Camellia's been acting suspicious these past few days.
She was out and about doing things discreetly (read as tried), and when he tried to confront her about it, she would always say, "It's nothing serious. Don't worry about it!"
So he never pressed the issue any longer. But he kept an eye out for her, in case trouble happens.
Finally, on that day, he learned the reason behind it all.
.
.
.
"We're going out on a date," Camellia declared as she finishes her breakfast.
Lucifer turned to look at her, ignoring all the protests from his younger brothers.
"So Lucifer gets to hog you all day? No fair!" Levi says with a pout on his face.
"Oh, c'mon Levi," Camellia retorted. "It's his birthday today. And besides... rather than him monopolizing me, I'm the one who's monopolizing him this time..."
"What?"
"Nothing."
Lucifer internally smirked at Camellia's words. Half of it were barely audible, but was not left unnoticed by him.
"As much as I hate to admit it, Camellia's right. So I'll let ya off the hook this time, Lucifer."
It was Mammon who spoke. Camellia smiled thankfully at the second-born.
"Yeah, and they're literally in a relationship, so there's nothing wrong if they go out on a date on a special day," Asmodeus added.
Leviathan deflated in defeat. "I guess I can't refute the argument when all you've said were facts..."
"Right." It was Lucifer's turn to speak. "Camellia, I'll see you at the front porch."
.
.
.
"Enjoy, you two!"
"Thanks, Asmo! We will!" Camellia waved at the Avatar of Lust before leaving.
"So... you're the one who's doing the monopolizing this time, huh?"
Lucifer chuckled as he saw Camellia flinch at his words.
"Urk! Y-you heard that?" She asked, a shade of pink slowly spreading across her cheeks.
"Don't underestimate a demon's hearing, my darling. So? What's the itinerary for today?"
Camellia cleared her throat before answering. "Take a guess."
Lucifer rolled his eyes playfully at her reply. "Is it... the opera? Heh, what's with that look? Are you surprised to see me guess it correctly? I saw the tickets peeking out of your purse before we left the house."
He watched in amusement as Camellia's jaw dropped at his revelation.
"We still have time before the show starts, no? Shall we take a stroll until then?"
.
.
.
"What do you think of the opera?"
"I should be the one asking that, you know?" Camellia pursed her lips for a moment. "It's beautiful. I really liked it, especially that part where– GROWLLLL"
"...Pfft- Hahahahaha!"
"...Oh, c'mon. It's not that funny."
Camellia's pout was back, albeit for a different reason this time.
"If I didn't know better, I'd say Beel was with us." Lucifer looked at his date with a teasing smirk.
"...Okay, fine. Maybe it was a little funny."
The two looked at each other briefly before laughter filled the space between them once more.
"There's a nearby café over there. We should probably grab a bite before continuing our date."
"Yes. After all, we wouldn't want the little monster to growl again during our trip to the museum."
Camellia nudged Lucifer with her elbow, feigning annoyance at the demon which earned another chuckle from him.
.
.
.
"Here." Camellia reached out to her purse and took out a white envelope, which she handed out to Lucifer.
"What's this?"
"A birthday card from me. Well... it's more of a small letter than a card though."
Lucifer smiled, muttering a small thank you and opened the envelope to read its content.
"To my dearest Lucifer,
Happiest birthday, my love! I'm so grateful that I get to celebrate your birthday this time too.
I know I've been avoiding you for these past two weeks, and sorry for that. I can't have you know about our surprise for you. It won't be a surprise if you knew.
You are one of the kindest and warmest people I have ever met in my life, and I would forever be glad to have the luck of meeting you and falling in love with you.
You deserve all the best in the three worlds.
Love, Margarette Camellia"
"You know, it's kind of embarrassing to have you read that in front of me."
Lucifer took her hand and stroked it with his thumb reassuringly before placing a kiss on it. "You don't have to be embarrassed when telling me your honest feelings."
Camellia smiled in return. "I know."
.
.
.
The trip to the museum went smoothly, and by the time the couple had left, it was already early evening.
"Lucifer."
Camellia stopped in front of the demon, a smile forming on her lips.
"Yes?"
"Close your eyes for me, will you?"
Lucifer raised an eyebrow upon her request. Still, he indulged her and closed his eyes.
"Don't open them until I say so, okay?"
"Alright."
He heard her mutter a spell and felt that the scenery around them has changed.
"Okay... now!"
A ballroom welcomed his sight as he opened his eyes. He noticed Camellia wore a different outfit than what she was wearing moments ago, and he, too, was in a different outfit.
"This is..."
"A pocket dimension I made for us. I based it on the ballroom scene from the opera we watched earlier," Camellia beamed as she explained.
"Well, aren't you full of surprises today?"
"Hehe. It is your birthday, after all. Of course I have to go all in on the celebration. Now for the finishing touch..."
Music filled the room the moment she snapped her fingers.
"Care for a dance, good sir?"
Lucifer smiled as he took her outstretched hand. "Of course, my lady."
Smiling at each other, the pair swayed in time with the music.
"Thank you. I enjoyed our date today. I can tell how much you've prepared for it," Lucifer says as the two of them made a turn.
"You've always made our dates more special than the last whenever you're the one who plans them. I just thought I'd return the favor today," Camellia replied.
"That, you did. It was wonderful."
Lucifer paused when the music changed to a different one.
"This music..."
"Do you like it?"
"Yes. It'd be a wonderful piece for the piano. I just need to find the music sheet for it."
A grin appeared on Camellia's face. "I figured you'd say that, so here, have my last gift for today."
Lucifer's eyes widened as he took the gift from her.
"It's the music sheet for this piece. And look..." Camellia traced the notes written on the sheet. Music played as she continued. "It plays the music when you trace it."
Lucifer smiled in astonishment. "You've truly outdid yourself today, haven't you?"
Camellia shrugged. "Eh, I have my ways."
.
.
.
"Are you tired?"
Lucifer looked at Camellia, who was resting her head on his shoulder.
"Mmm. A little."
"...While I do appreciate your efforts today, I don't want you to push yourself too hard. You do know that I'd be fine even with just a simple celebration, yes?"
Camellia looked back at Lucifer. "Yeah, it's a bit tiring to prepare for this day. But for you? I'd do it all again, and more."
"....."
"What's with the silence...? Ah! Did I finally manage to steal your heart?"
Lucifer rolled his eyes at her teasing. "How can you steal something that's already yours to begin with?"
"...Smooth bastard."
"And I take that as a compliment."
Camellia laughed at his blatant showing off.
"Happy birthday, Lucifer."

suguru had managed to procure his official license to be a tattoo artist in just two years. he's always been artistic and steady with his hands, but he wanted to make absolute sure that he would be ready to mark his art on someone permanently. he was always found sketching designs, having more than 2 portfolio's worth of art ready to be inked on skin, but he had a special design in reserves for one person only. while he was officially a tattoo artist, suguru still wanted to peruse his degree in pathology and fine arts, hence he settled on waiting to be an official tattoo artist for after he graduated, although he does have an official set up for whenever he was prepared.
the only thing stopping him was that his first customer has quite the uncommon and unorthodox request. satoru has been asking for the past two years to be his first client whenever suguru passed his courses and studies. graceful hands pause in sketching out a long dragon, the colors looking almost water color-like even though it was shaded in with color pencil. he looks over to the source of his distraction, satoru; as he peers at his work. it never ceased to amuse him whenever the other would look so enamored with his art. it gave him more confidence than he knew what to do with.
“satoru,” he purrs, corners of his mouth lifting into a small smile, feeling those arms wrap snuggly around him. he hates to admit it, but he adores how clingy satoru could be. he didn't often like sharing his personal space with others, preferring social distance at all times, but something about his roommate's comforting touch sent his heart into a tizzy every time. he hums thoughtfully, being asked this same question again. it's not like he's stalling on purpose but... “when? hmm, let me see,” he ponders softly, knowing he couldn't stall any longer on the promise he'd made to him.
the only thing he isn't sure of is getting matching tattoos - ignore the fact that he already has an idea in mind, but he would hate to get one only for something to happen and it be a reminder of every that could have been but never was. however looking into those gorgeous sapphire eyes, suguru felt as if a possibility like that would never exist. his heart felt like it was in the heavens as the other proclaims he wants to be his first. there were quite a lot of those in that bold yet ambiguous words; first client, first love, first kiss...
he turns to look at him, gaze soft and enamored. “you have quite a way with words, satoru. those public speaking classes do you good,” he teases with a soft smile, the lilt to his voice amused. “you know i promised you would be my first, i plan to keep that promise.” suguru lifts a hand to smooth snow white locks back, enjoying the softness of it and relishing that it's his hands satoru enjoys doing this to him. “i assume you mean more than just my first client with that sentence though. you can't expect me to be able to read your mind though. care to share what you meant by that?”
his head tilts tot he side, eyes flitting over to his book; the rainbow dragon only half finished, but just a few pages behind that, geto finds himself turning to that page to show satoru what he'd kept hidden from him ever since the idea of matching tattoos came up. “if you're actually serious about it... i've considered this for your first tattoo. the frayed fin black koi fish.” one that suguru thought himself as, versus the matching koi with its beautiful fins fading from white to blue. it is quite obviously meant to symbolize them for each other. he looks up at satoru to gauge his reaction. “what do you think?”
TWO YEARS SINCE HIS LIFE CHANGED & HE MET SUGURU GETO. the two of them were roommates & he had watched as his closest friend had pursued his dreams of wanting to be a tattoo artist. meanwhile, satoru was supplementing his learning as he was poised to take over his family's company. he has everything he could want: the striking good looks, the charms, the confidence to back his words, & money beyond his disposable. he has everything he wants except one person. lips pull into a pout as he wraps his arms around suguru. ❛ suguuuruu,❜ he whines before looking over to see what he's sketching.
satoru had always been enamored by his art. he's not sure if it's the way he draws the lines, or even the shading that makes it feel like he looking at a masterpiece. something about suguru's art pulls forth a sense of emotion in him even though he could give a rat's ass about the world. he was considered a prodigy, his sense of business was second to none, so it was obvious he was take up the mantle of ceo soon. ❛ when are you going to tattoo me? ❜ he inquires. the white haired boy had been serious about getting art done by him. he even went so far as suggested matching tattoos. it was the connection between them he wanted to solidify in a meaning of a tattoo, not to mention the way his heart seems to beat a little faster every time suguru gives him a glance. he could get lost in those amethyst eyes, a beautiful jewel that always tends to carry a sense of ease, a peace that he finds.
❛ i wanna be your first everything, ❜ he declares boldly. there was no shame in his words. maybe he was greedy when it came to suguru, desiring it all when it comes to him. it's why satoru's had not stuck to his playboy ways, in an effort to get suguru to notice him. before he had met suguru, he wouldn't bat an eyelash & discard his one night stands as if they were plastic only to be recycled by different faces. he's sure his best friend could destroy a person's hopes & dreams by rejection alone & that's why he's always scared that suguru would reject him. satoru had never felt more seen, he was a stained glass window with an easy reflection to see. no one had ever made an effort to get to know him behind all the bravado.
how much more obvious can he be? he pulls his lips into a pout, gaze softening hoping that suguru would budge with something.if shoko were here he's certain her eyeballs would fall out from rolling her eyes too much.

Mezo Shoji x Perv. Chubby Reader!
Warnings: unprotected sex, bondage, dirty talk, Pet names (Princess/Baby/Goodgirl), size kink…?, DDLG (At the very end), Sub!Shoji (for the most part), mention the use of toys, mentions Oral (male receiving), Babytrapping-ish. Basically, NSFW. 🤷🏻♀️
Also be mindful that I didn't really mention much of the reader's appearance (Besides she's a female) since I wanted to keep it vague for everyone to relate as much as possible, though it is definitely for the more voluptuous side of ladies. 😊
Please be mindful that the photos are not mines, but the making of the collage is.
MINORS DNI!!! 🔞🙅🏻♀️If you’re not comfortable with this, please ignore!
Could we talk about Mezo Shoji with a perv!ChubbyReader. Before they were together she seemed like a normal being, if anything she was a shy, timid girl, which was ok with him since he is a simple guy. However, something seemed to happen when they began dating. They'd been with each other for almost three and a half years, and while time seemed to pass, Shoji happened to be aware of her antics.
For starters, it was intimate and passionate with love when they first did it, but the more they had sex, the more he appeared to notice how adventurous she'd gotten. Asking ever so shyly if Shoji could take her in different positions: Doggy style, cowgirl, face-off, leapfrog, ballet dancer, and so many more that he never knew about.
Where does she find these lewd positions?
Even during class transitions or over lunch, she would tease him with light touches on his chest and arms that he barely felt, but if no one was looking, she would grope his man boobies till his nipples were hard and there was a bulge in his pants. Even bending down right in front of him to “pick up” something that she dropped, when in reality it’s to actually grind against his already semi-hard cock. He is thankful for his quirk since it allows him to hide the sinful scene that is taking place right next to his peers.
And if she spots him a few steps behind her as she climbs the stairs, she would slide her skirt up to show her panty-covered ass before carrying on with her day while giggling at his flustered expression as he almost dropped the boxes he was assigned to transport somewhere.
Then she shyly asked if she could try new things on him, to which he applauded, allowing her to milk him while bound to a chair, naked with nipple clips and a cock ring. He knows he has the strength to break these ropes she tied him with, yet there's something about witnessing his shy princess blossoming into this confident, bold, and sexy woman that makes him play the helpless role. Despite the fact that all he wanted to do was break these restraints and take her on the spot.
Yet here they are now, Shoji being palmed by his pervert girlfriend in their empty classroom to “study”, asking him to reteach her the same problem that he showed her for the tenth time while tracing the outline of his already semi-hard cock not once breaking character while he was trembling and stumbling over his words. Now there was no lie this man had a nice juicy thick cock that obviously need its nice and tight warm cunt in, so she stopped their little charade and move the desk that was in front of them forward making him jolt before unbuckled his pants and sliding them down his meaty thighs, freeing his cock, that stood tall for her. The reader would slip her panties off while licking her lips from seeing the flushed shade of red of a tip that leaked helplessly from only a few seconds of neglect. He tried to protest saying how someone could have forgotten something and would come back, or one of the teachers walking by. But that didn’t stop or scare her, her mind too fogged up on the thought of her dick. She remembers when she wrapped Shoji up in bondages, how she would sometimes wrap a cute ribbon around the base of his cock while sucking him off to then finish it off with a few lipstick kisses peppered all around his lower abdomen and length that anyone could see if he was to lift his arms and his shirt was to rise.
Anyways… back to their “study session”. I think Shoji would manhandle her like crazy 😆🤤 But not in any harm’s way; simply taking charge of the situation, taking hold of her hips, and thrusting her down on his cock with how sexually frustrated they both knew he'd be with her teasing. To Shoji, she essentially becomes a human fleshlight. Clinging to his shoulder, she was in bliss from the sensation and the ways he used his quirk, morphing other hands and mouth to cup, suck, and bite over her breast and shoulders. Her dazed eyes seemed to cross, as his thrusts turned into sharp-angled blows that attacked her sweet spot, which she seemed to take note of since she was already out of it, too wrapped in the pleasure as slobber trickled down her chin.
It was after three orgasms later that Shoji was ready to burst, and she was aware of that too. As his thrust worsened, he grunted that he was about to cum, which was her cue to wrap her legs around his waist (including the chair he was sitting on) to keep him trapped, making Shoji mewl while trying to pull away, but was being forced back into her warm heat while having his body pressed together against hers, breast and chest rubbing against each other, pudge stomach squished against a well-toned one. He had to try and pry her away, hastily getting up while maintaining a firm grip on her ass and legs; he started to pull away again but was forced back inside by her legs, creating a strange pattern of him being pulled back and forth in her while standing.
She wails louder than expected as she tilts her head back. Panicked at the prospect of being caught, Shoji hurriedly covers her lips with one of his hands, which she gratefully sucked on. He wasn't surprised by her actions, having become accustomed to her slutty side. He groans while walking toward the desk in front of them. Laying her down softly, he then drapes his upper body over hers. The sensation of this massive man's body weight on her soft one was overpowering; she'd never told him this, but she enjoyed feeling small when he did that. He already towers over her while standing, but being this close and feeling his warm body and panting breath over her forehead, his lower abdomen having no problem bushing against her swollen clit. That was enough for her to cum, longing for a nice hot load from him. Which he obliged, too weak and exhausted to move away from her luscious legs (not like he was trying. He literally gave up a long time ago 😆), coming right inside her as she coos sweet nothing in his ear while caressing his arms and back.
He isn't normally like this; he was usually a calm and collected guy, but his brat of a girlfriend kept pushing him.
Cursing to himself as he was finally able to slip away from her body, he stared at the aftermath, cum trickling out of her well-abused cunt as it tried to clutch onto Shoji’s cock but couldn't.
“Look what you made me do…” He sighed.
But, looking up at him with innocent eyes, she leaned against the desk to reveal her pussy, spreading her lips to torment him with his come trickling down, "what do you mean, Baby? I just wanted to spend time with my boyfriend."
“Tch, fine, you want to act like an ignorant brat then you wouldn’t mind me using my stupid whores pussy as a stress reliever, do you? I had such a bad day with a girl classmate of mine who’s been teasing me for quite some time (It's you, boo~).” He fixated, his cock twitched in reaction to her movements and what he said.
He grasped her wrists and clasped them behind her back with one of his colossal hands after trapping her upper front torso to the desk. Another wraps around her neck, giving it a reassuring squeeze, before tilting her head up and kissing her feverishly.
She whimpered, tears welling up in her eyes, begging him to use her. Even going on her tippy toes to knead her ass on his member, trapped it between his lower abdomen and her crotch. Her ass swayed from side to side, stiffening the already semi-hard dick. He moves away from her, much to her dismay, as she whimpers and begs for his touch. Yet Shoji took his time, coating his cock with their mixed fluids that were slipping out of her to slam back into the weeping hole.
Making her jolt, arching herself back but was confined from his towering body over hers, making her cry from pleasure.
“Just know you’re responsible for the outcome.” With heart in her eyes and biting her lower lips, she nodded while eagerly answering him back, “Always~”
“Hmm…sorry didn’t quite hear that.” He said, tightening his hold on her neck.
“A-Always, Daddy~<3”
“Good girl.” He praises, tilting her head to kiss her again.
When he senses her striving to push herself upon him, he sighs.
Believe it or not, he doesn't like spoiled brats who think they can have everything they want, and as much as it was much his fault for letting her walk all over him, the six-arm man appeared to think otherwise, using his hands to his advantage in punishing his pervert lover.
So much for his simple life.

001 'i can't exactly help you if you won't let me.' with jeong yunho (정 윤호)
a/n: first one shot of my 100 followers special! i haven't written anything with this man yet and it's a CRIME . english is not my first language, and i'm not entirely satisfied with the way this one turned out, but i hope you'll like it !!
summary: y/n accidentially hurt herself yet again, and yunho is set on helping her with the wound.
genre: fluff fluff fluff
warnings: y/n has a wound, idk what else
yunho stood there, his arms crossed as he looked at your tired figure, sitting on the couch with a bunch of bandages and tape laying all around you, along with some scissors and many, too many dirty tissues. even though he was worried by the state you were in right now, a small smile still graced his face as he walked over to you.
'i can't leave you alone even for five minutes, huh?' he asked jokingly, sitting next to you as you turned your face to him, an annoyed look painted on it.
what he said was somewhat true. you were always a clumsy person, ever since the day you were born. and that, along with constant lectures from your parents about being careful, also meant lots and lots of accidents. and today wasn't different; what started off as trying to fix one of the chairs ended up with a big, nasty wound on your leg. one which you were currently trying to hide under yet another bandage.
'it's not that big of a deal, yunho.' you said, reaching for the scissors next to you 'i can handle myself just fine. i had worse wounds on me.'
'that worries me even more, you know.' he stated, eyes focused on you as he tried to take the bandage from your hand, immediately stopping when you moved your hand away before he could grab it.
'yunho, stop.'
the boy looked over to you, a questioning look on his face.
'come on, y/n.' he said after a few seconds of silence 'you're in pain now, and i can't exactly help you if you won't let me.'
you looked at him, a too-familiar look on your face.
'i don't need your help-' you tried to say, tone slightly annoyed at this point, but yunho didn't even let you finish.
'yeah yeah i know. you can do it all by yourself, you've taken care of worse wounds on you, it's not that big of a deal.' he said, standing up from where he was sitting just a second ago 'i know you always had to deal with these by yourself and you're used to it now but i'm your boyfriend, right? i'm here to help you and i am not going to leave this room unless you let me do it.'
you looked at him, eyebrow raised, as you sighed deeply.
'you're insufferable, you know it?'
'yes, i know' he said, crouching in front of you on the fluffy grey carpet you two got from yunho's parents when you first moved in there 'but you love me anyways, so youre gonna let me help you, right?'
'only this once.'
you winced a little when yunho started cleaning up the wound, his hands being as gentle as they could possibly be.
'how did you even do it?' he asked, his gaze still focused on the wound. 'you know, i can't possibly think of how that would happen.'
you let out a short laugh, ignoring that the wound started becoming very itchy.
'would it shock you if i said that i didn't even realize when it happened?' you said, trying to recall that moment. 'i was just trying to fix the chair, and then surprise! an open wound on my leg.'
'it doesn't sound very convincing' yunho murmured under his breath, his hand reaching for the bandage as he was already done with cleaning up the wound. 'but at the same time, half of your stories sound very unlikely to happen, so i believe you on that one.'
'my stories sound unlikely to happen?' you said, pretending to be offended. 'the only unbelievable thing in my life is the fact that i'm dating someone as amazing as you.'
'oh don't even start on that' yunho laughed, trying hard to hide the fact that the comment made his heart melt. still, your eyes didn't miss the way his ears turned a light shade of red almost immediately after hearing your words.
'no, i'm serious!' you said, a big grin on your face 'my parents still think that you're getting paid to date me, and that i couldn't possibly pull someone as perfect as you.'
'perfect is a big exaggeration, my love' yunho stated, securing the bandage around your leg. the tips of his ears were now a deep crimson shade of red, but he did his best to ignore that, even though he felt how hard they were burning. 'does it hurt when you walk now?'
'only a little bit'.
yunho stood up, taking the medical stuff from the couch to put it back on the shelf, heading to the kitchen right after he did so.
'you're lucky, then.' he said, back turned to you as he tried to find something in the fridge. 'cause i don't recall us having any plans this weekend, right? you'll have time to rest and let the wound heal a little.'
you saw him walk back to the couch, to cups of jelly in his hands. he handed you one, a soft smile gracing his face. you recognized what flavor it was by the smell alone, and an excited look appeared on your face as you did so.
'you made my favorite jelly?' yunho nodded at your question, gaining a hug in return the second he answered. 'wow, i really do have the best boyfriend in the whole world.'
yunho looked at you, his head tilted to the side.
'stop joking like that.'
'i'm not joking!' you exclaimed, eyes focused on his face. 'seriously, though. i couldn't ask for anyone better.'
'yeah, you'll have time to compliment me more later. and now' he said, motioning to the jelly in your hand 'eat your portion before i steal it from you.'
'don't even think about it, yunho' you said, giving him a warning glare. 'if you try to touch my jelly, i'll kill you.'
'yeah, i know.' he said, laughing. 'that's why i made more for you, they're waiting for you in the fridge.'
your eyes turned wide at his statement.
'you deserve a reward, really.' you joked, your head resting on yunho's arm. the boy looked over to you, hand reaching to pat your head.
'a kiss would be nice.'
you put the cup down on the coffee table in front of you, turning to face your boyfriend.
'i'll give you a thousand if you want to.'

Okay.
So.
I went back and re-watched the scene. I wanted to be objective, because frankly I always come from the Crowley side of things.
I am going to rebut, purely on Aziraphale's intention. This is essentially 'Buck Up Hamlet!', which is frankly ridiculous but is not meant to be cruel. Clueless, absolutely, stupidly naive definitely, but we have to remember that right now Crowley and Aziraphale are right off the factory floor. They both have Faith in the Almighty Plan. Crowley is not saying, 'This is wrong', he's saying, 'This is stupid!' (and it is really fucking stupid i mean you create a galaxy just so people go 'cool good work god' yeah no fuck that) . Right now we're seeing when Crowley Believed in God, absolutely, because he thought he could just say to God, 'Hey this is dumb!' and God would be like, 'Thanks for the input, sweetie!' and he'd at least get to ask why they aren't doing it this way.
Aziraphale, in turn, is like, 'Buck up Gorgeous Starmaker! Your stars are going to be this marvelous background of God's glory!' Like he is fully on the Kool-aid, I will not deny that.
However, he didn't encourage the questioning. He in fact said, 'Word to the wise'. Like perhaps there was already murmurs and rumors about other angels who maybe said something something and maybe no one has heard for them in awhile and just what has Lucifer been up to we haven't seen him in a hot minute. He's cautious, and clearly worried about Crowley. Is it wrong for him to be like, 'just go along with the crowd'. Yes, but he hasn't learned that yet. Hell, he's only half-way finished learning this at the end of S2.
NOW, do I agree that Aziraphale was being callous at the end of season 2? Yes. Yes I do and that is why Crowley is owed an apology ballet. However, In My Opinion, Aziraphale is coming from ignorant callousness and this misguided belief that Crowley becoming an angel again will 'Set Things Right' because Crowley never should have been kicked out of Heaven in the first place. That it was wrong of Heaven to kick Crowley out, and the least they could do was re-instate him. As my good friend put it, 'more like someone with a reasonable family, trying to get their friend to re-unite with their family, when their friend's family was clearly bad news bears.' It's ignorant, and more importantly ARROGANT for Aziraphale to think this will 'make everything spit-spot', but it's not cruel, it's still just ... Stupid. Just Really Fucking Stupid.
There will come a point in season 3, where Aziraphale is going to finally, FINALLY clue in to the fact that Heaven is Not Nice and Not Better than Hell. It's the same, just with a shiny white veneer. At that point, I hope he has his moment of clarity and realizes just how badly he fucked up. I know he's going to be searching for contrition for being so wrong, but I hope that Neil also shows that it came from a place of love. That Crowley understands that Aziraphale didn't want him to change, but wanted them to change Heaven to fit Crowley. That's Still Wrong, but again? It's not cruel.
Aziraphale is an idiot, but he's an idiot who can turn things around and apologize for his mistakes. That he'll do better, understand more, and start actually living in shades of grey for himself and for Crowley.
I would also like to state that Crowley has his own apology to make but that's a whole other meta thing. I just wanted to express my thoughts on your thoughts.
I wonder if we'll ever find out more about why exactly Aziraphale told the Starmaker about the 6000 years deadline.
Sure, in the moment it is played as a somewhat comedic moment and it IS one, on the surface, but just like with everything else this season, there's a more painful truth right under the surface.
Imagine you were working on a project your entire life, it's your life's work, the one thing you want to complete, that gives you purpose and incredible amounts of joy. Finally, it is finished, and you love it, it is a part of you and you are a part of it.
Then a stranger comes up to you and tells you that it looks wonderful you've done a great job. Also, tomorrow someone will come and destroy it right in front of you.
WHY would you ever tell someone that? The Starmaker had absolutely no time to enjoy it, to be happy that it's finally done, to watch it and live it. All that joy got ripped away because, what, Aziraphale couldn't stand seeing someone else happy? Because he somehow thought it to be his duty to deliver heartbreaking news to someone he does not know?
The more I rewatch it, the more cruel and soulless it seems.
Look at the pure happiness that Aziraphale saw on their face. Innocent, unrestrained excitement—and he had to go and ruin it.
Aziraphale might not have been responsible for their fall, but fuck he definitely made sure to contribute to it. And to then have the audacity to get UPSET with them for being heartbroken about the upcoming destruction of their creation.
That joy? Gone. After this moment, it will never come back; he didn't even get five minutes to bask in the satisfaction of a job well-done.
I'm sorry, but why the fuck did he do that because I cannot come up with a single reason that justifies telling the Starmaker this at that point in time.
"I can make you an angel again" Yeah, so you get to kill their innocence for a second time? Or rather. Third. Fourth. Hundreds. It's not just heaven and hell that wore Crowley down.

rowaelin month day 1 - can’t help falling in love
prompt: "I just realized I'm desperately in love with you"
-
Meeting Aelin for the first time, Rowan begrudged that she was beautiful. Arrogant as he could be and incessantly swaggering, but she was beautiful. There was something sweet, and yet so sharp, about her features. His eyes traced them greedily the first, the second, the third time he met her, and even today, as she set her bag next to his in the library and took a seat across from him he couldn't help it. He absorbed every bit of her; golden hair and aquamarine eyes ringed with gold. The small nose, sharp but softened by the sun kissed freckles scattered along it. The cheekbones that framed her face and lips painted a threatening shade of red.
"So, Rowan, what'll it be today?" Aelin asked, pulling out her notebook and flipping her hair over one shoulder. He didn't know it yet, but it was a nervous tic.
"The same as yesterday, Aelin. Calculus." He gave her a long suffering look and pinched the bridge of his nose. She was beautiful, but it didn't make tutoring her any easier.
"No originality." She sighed. "How disappointing."
"Let's just start."
So they began, and Rowan questioned not for the first time why she had bothered asking their teacher for a peer tutor. She was clearly skilled. She knew what she was doing. He worked up the courage and asked for the first time.
"I'm pretty busy," She explained. "I just want to make sure that I'm understanding everything and that I know what I'm doing, you know? Sometimes I'm so tired in class and I just want to make sure I'm getting everything. Sorry if that makes this seem like a waste of time." Rowan shook his head. He admired her dedication to her education. He certainly cared for his own, but not this much.
"No, I don't mind at all. I have hockey, but that doesn't really start for a while."
"Right, right, you're on the hockey team! You just don't seem like it when we're sitting in the library and you're teaching me math, you know?"
"And you don't seem like the type to be aspiring for Julliard, but here we are."
"Shhh!" Aelin exaggerated. "That's a secret!" Rowan looked at her pointedly.
As he opened his mouth to say something, another boy walked up to the table they were sitting at. Rowan recognized him. He was a year younger, in Aelin's grade.
"Chaol! What're you doing here? I'd expect Dorian at the library, but you're usually at the gym." Chaol. That was his name. And Aelin seemed to know him, seemed to be very familiar with him in fact. And who was Dorian. Rowan found that these questions rose no matter how hard he tried to tamp them down.
Chaol's cheeks were coated in a slight blush. "Could I talk to you, just the two of us?"
Did he plan on asking Aelin out? Rowan couldn't deny that no matter how much he ignored it, a part of him hoped that wouldn't happen.
"What do you say tutor? Can the two of us finish for the day?"
The other part knew that was stupid, because that was it really. He was her tutor, and maybe they were friends. Acquaintances probably. It wasn't something he wanted to think too much about. So he mumbled a yes and hoped Aelin heard him, beginning to pack his things.
And he froze, because Aelin kissed him on the cheek. Then ran off with Chaol, behind the bookshelves.
Fuck this, he thought. Fuck the searing heat in the spot her lips had pressed against his skin, fuck the fluttering in his stomach, fuck his uneven heartbeat. Fuck the lipstick smudge on his cheek. Still, he bit his lip hard enough to hurt to hold back he didn't know what. A smile? Maybe.
He stood from their table and then Aelin and Chaol popped back out of the bookshelves. "Guess who has a date?" She sing songed. The lightness in his chest turned sticky and heavy like tar and it became hard to breathe. "Me, stupid. God, don't look at me like that, it's not that confusing!"
"That's- it's nice."
"It's very nice, Rowan, thank you very much. See you tomorrow? I'll tell you all about it after you teach me fancy math, I promise." Aelin smiled and whirled around, walking out of the library with Chaol.
After that, Rowan had no choice but to come to terms with his feelings for Aelin. He didn't just think she was beautiful, she was funny and her wit and swagger was captivating. Conversations with her were entertaining and he noticed the small things she did, like the way she narrowed her eyes when she concentrated or sighed under her breath when she didn't understand.
Tutoring sessions were his time with her, but they became almost unbearable. Chaol stopped by every day within the first hour of their two hour session, dropping off a coffee that he could tell was too bitter and kissing Aelin before going about his own business.
In March, when colleges were sending acceptance letters out, Rowan would be lying if he said Aelin wasn't the first person texted when Yale sent him the letter saying he got it. The next day, Rowan found Aelin at their table, books and papers out, two cups of steaming liquid. She looked up as he set his things down and smiled wide at him.
"How does it feel to know you're going to an Ivy?" She asked, and passed him a cup. He pried off the lid and smiled when the sweet smell of jasmine tea wafted up to him. He preferred it to coffee. Aelin, though was drinking coffee, and he suspected it had far too much sugar for it to be healthy.
"It feels great. And nerve wracking, honestly." He replied. She nodded.
"Yeah, I can see how. I'd be freaked out too if I got into such a prestigious college."
"And maybe you will." He raised his brows. "Julliard?"
She sighed exaggeratedly. "I don't think I'm good enough for Julliard, truthfully."
"Well, apply next year. If only so you can come visit me at Yale." Aelin's face brightened with a mischievous smile.
"If you say so."
They settled into comfortable silence for a bit, and then Rowan started their review for the day. When it had been an hour and a half and Chaol hadn't stopped by yet, he had to ask. "Where's the boyfriend?"
"No longer my boyfriend. Looks like I have to buy my own coffee from now own." She sighed in that dramatic way of hers again. Rowan couldn't help the overwhelming relief that slammed through him. Now he could-
He could what? He could ask her out? Tell her that he knew Chaol had never bothered to properly learn her coffee order because he noticed the way she winced when she sipped the too bitter liquid? Tell her that he knew she was brilliant on the piano, though he'd only heard her play once? That she was beautiful and smart and funny and so, so brilliant, and they'd only have a year together before he left?
He couldn't do it. Or maybe you're afraid, that awful voice everyone had in their head mocked him. Rowan didn't want to admit to that either.
So all he said was, "Oh, I'm sorry." Aelin flashed a smile at him, and it twisted a knife through his gut because it wasn't her swaggering grin. It was gone sooner than it had come. They continued with their session until two hours came to an end and Aelin stood abruptly, leaving the library faster than she did before.
On May 3rd, Aelin turned 17, and Rowan remembered it. He carried her present with him all through the day. It was tucked into a small black box, her name written in gold marker in his quick scrawl. When he sat at their table at the library, he felt like the wait for her had been broken down into each separate millisecond. It was torture on his stomach, his heartbeat pulsing and fluttering in and out of it.
After what felt like decades, Aelin sat down across from him. "Hey Rowan," She smiled at him. In all the time they'd spent together, he had learned all her different smiles. There were the ones that curled at the left side of her mouth and made her shoulders pull back arrogantly. She was sure to start teasing him when her smile pulled slowly, eyes glinting mischievously. When she smiled like that, he couldn't help but grin himself.
But this smile, the one that was pure happiness, simple joy, it was his favorite. She looked at him from across the table and her eyes gleamed with it, sparkling, the shades of turquoise and gold even more vibrant. Aelin furrowed her brows and he realized he'd been staring.
"Happy birthday!" Rowan blurted out.
Aelin's brows rose and she laughed into that beautiful smile of hers and he was knocked breathless again. "Thank you, Rowan."
He reached over into his bag and pulled out the flat black box. "I got you- I don't know if- I figured-"
"Thank you, Rowan," She said again, smiling wider and coming to his side of the table and kneeling next to him so she was just a bit shorter. "Now let me see what's in her."
She traced her fingers over the box, her smile growing softer. "I love your handwriting, you know. I know you think it's messy, and it is, but it's the pretty kind of messy, you know?" She looked over at him and blushed a little. "I love your handwriting." She traced the five letters of her name written in his scrawl again.
And then Aelin opened the box, and she gasped a little. It was simple, he knew that, but most of Aelin's necklaces were, to his notice. It was something she'd be able to wear with most outfits. She pulled the gold chain out of the crushed velveteen it was laid on and looked closer at the turquoise gemstone pendant.
"I- The color, it reminded me of your eyes, so you know..." He trailed off.
She turned to look at him. "I love it, Rowan," and Aelin threw her arms around his neck, red lipstick blurring in the quickness. It was his raging pulse, it was a fiery inferno, it was his urge to kiss her. She was so near, so close to him, lavender and lemon verbena intoxicating him.
And why not? There was nothing to lose.
He pulled back from where his head was pressed to her neck, arms holding her tightly. Rowan wasn't sure whether he moved first or she did. But their mouths were upon each other, softer than he'd thought he would kiss her. But it was soft, it was sweet, it was everything he had wanted to do after sitting across from her all year long.
When Aelin pulled back from his mouth, she huffed a little laugh and rubbed his lips lightly with her thumb. “You’ve got lipstick on your lips now.” She smiled, pressing her forehead into his neck.
Holding her against his body, red lipstick smudged against his lips, standing in the school library, Rowan had never felt so calm. So warm. So happy. And he realized, with a desperate suddenness, he loved the girl in his arms.
“I love you.” He whispered against her hair. And it was peaceful.

A/N: so let me know if it sucked, pls, thank you. also, English is not my first language, so there can be mistakes pls tell me where my dumb ass was wrong
The hand on the waist was the final nail in the coffin for you.
How dare he dance with another girl. How dare he smile at her, how dare he ignore you and act like you weren't there, too.
"This is just pitiful," Marleen snorted, finishing half of her drink in a sip as she watched the same scene unfolding in the living room, those two uncaring of everyone else, like they were throwing it in your face.
You hummed, not really in the mood for taunts and half assed advices. "Which part?"
Marleen finished her drink and threw the cup over her shoulder, over the improvised bar the frat boys did last year with wood panels and boxes. It landed in the kitchen, someone yelling at the brunette as it nearly missed him.
"You. Honestly, for the last time, you need to—"
Frowning, you tensed and turned to glare at her, only to stop staring at the dance floor. "Honestly, Marleen, for the last time, I'm not fucking Jean to get over Eren."
She raised her hands in mock surrender, taking the half empty bottle of beer from your loosened grasp. "Doesn't have to be Jean, pal."
Groaning, throwing your head back dramatically, you couldn't find it in yourself to debate this subject, again.
Not that it mattered. Not like it was supposed to be a fun night at a frat house. Not like you made a fuss about it, dressed in your best leather pants and top, tattoos on display.
Not like you actually tried a bolder look with the cat like eyeliner and actually put on lip gloss, because you knew Eren liked those, said once your lips were pretty like that, coated with too much cherry glitter—
No, it didn't matter, not even as you sat there, feeling stupid as you pulled at your snake bites, wondering if you should get drunk or just go back to your dorm and complain to Annie.
But the blonde was at the party, too, somewhere among the crowd and probably sulking just as you, if you were to guess after seeing Armin with some junior chick an hour ago.
Marleen pushed herself away from the counter, losing her balance as she fell from the chair, but you saw it coming. Rolling your eyes, you caught her arm and steadied her.
Marleen grinned as you let her go, and seized your bicep, squeezing it three times, like a grandmother would with her grandchildren's cheeks.
"God, I love your muscles."
You loved them, too, but often found yourself wondering if Eren would pick you if you looked different, like the pretty, thin brunette wrapped around him on the dance floor.
God, how much can someone dance?
"Anyway," Marleen sighed, fake annoyance and all that, "Someone has to fuck Jean."
You snorted, "Poor you, volunteering like that for society."
She waved you off, pushing your now empty beer bottle into your chest as she left your side with her arms in the air, waving franatically to catch Jean's attention from his seat on the couch, where Connie was trying to explain something with his fingers.
Putting the bottle behind you on the counter, you tried to stop yourself from looking at him. What good did it do to—
He was gripping her waist, his large hands, clad in rings you got for his last birthday, covering her exposed skin. Her arms were in his hair as he bent to say something in her ear—
No, you noticed, he was kissing her neck and she was grinning sideways at Eren.
Scoffing, you tugged at one of the pierces in your nose. You should know better by now, Marleen once chided after cleaning your face off, ruined make up almost dried on your cheeks.
He knows, Annie scolded from beside you two in the small public bathroom after Eren ruined karaoke night and brought his new girlfriend.
He knows you love him and doesn't care. So do yourself a favour and move on.
Yeah, you watch Eren laugh at something the girl said, move on from the crush you had on him since you were sixteen and his hair was still short and he was crying over his parents' divorce.
Sure, move on and forget all the times you helped him, picked the pieces and put him first. Like he did, all those years going down the drain ever since the school year started and he barely acknowledged you.
"You look like shit," someone took the seat next to you, and you sighed before accepting the offered red solo cup.
"Feel like it, too," you looked at Levi snorting as he sipped on his beer. He looked like he just got out of bed.
Right, you scowled at yourself. You've been so busy preparing to let Eren walk all over you, that you forgot that Levi lived in the frat house that hosted the party.
Hange was talking Erwin's ears off, but he smiled and waved at you from where he stood close to the oven, once you looked over your shoulder to inspect who was there. Hange imitated his gesture without turning to see who, exactly, they were saluting.
Levi ignored them altogether, hair disheveled from his twitching fingers. He probably had a nap, you guessed, from the simple black shirt and jeans. Most likely got dragged down from his room by Zeke, or someone.
You knew him well enough, since he bumped into you almost one year ago, in the parking lot where you were smoking, asking for a lighter. Sure, he ignored your bad mood since you walked over to class when Eren forgot to pick you up.
It was just one time.
It wasn't until many months later that he picked a habit of ditching you and your plans together.
Levi was older by two years, and so were his friends, but they took you under their wing almost immediately.
They were protective of you, especially Hange, but no one came close to Levi anytime Eren made you cry or upset you with anything.
Like now, as he glared at the place where you already knew Eren was having fun with the girl. But you chose to look at Levi, chin in the palm of your hand.
Finally, he turned to take you in, his eyes catching onto the fact that you wore the rings and choker he got for you over the last year, then the many earrings Hange and Erwin got you anytime you wanted another pierce.
"Well, you sure look worse than me," you smirked, but Levi frowned at your attempt.
"He did it again?"
You couldn't find it in yourself to get mad at his words, "He just forgot, is all."
Levi snorted, "He should get checked for that Alzheimer he's been sporting for the last months."
You hit his arm, barely touching him, and huffed. "Play nice."
To his credit, he left it at that and let the noise of the party fall over you, both nursing your drinks.
You pondered going to Hange to ask if you could crash over the night with them, knowing Marleen was busy and Annie probably left by now.
"Want to dance?"
Well, then.
Your eyebrows almost reached your hairline as your eyes found Levi's, "Huh?"
He didn't shrug, or rolled his eyes, simply putting down his bottle and staring at you. You didn't want to look over at the dance floor, or be near that sexual tension, but—
But Levi was trying, and you knew how much he despised the parties, or having to interact, or, God Almighty forbid, dance.
And he was asking if you wanted to, because he knew you liked the song that was playing before you even realized what song it was or that you've been moving your head along with the beat for the last minute.
But Eren was th—
You jumped from the bar stool, "Sure."
You were taller than Levi by some good inches, but that didn't bother him. It never did, not even when you made fun of it at game nights or that one time at the carnival when he was the only one to join you in the big rides.
It didn't bother him, not even now, as you let him put his hands on your bare waist and slightly gaze up at you.
Hands around his neck, you let your chin rest near his ear, "You dance like someone's grandpa."
You could only assume he scoffed as he moved his arms around and pushed you closer to his chest.
"That's how you're grandpa danced?"
You shrugged and let him move your hips to the beat, fingers lost in his hair. "Wouldn't know. He died before I was out, kicking and screaming for the last time in my life at my mom."
Levi shook his head at your words, used to your humour and thankful you couldn't see his smile as he put his forehead on your bare shoulder.
You found yourself forgetting about Eren for a while as Levi danced with you and touched your skin, fingers grazing sometimes over your back or spine.
Then he was lost to your mind altogether when Levi caught your eye and you tried to make sense of the look he was giving you.
Marleen said something about his stares, when you couldn't see him watching.
You wet your lips, and he watched your tongue swipe over the pierces. "What, Ackerman?"
He shrugged, "You hate lip glosses."
It was barely there after all the drinks, but the thin, shiny coat with that stupid glitter was noticable enough for Levi to glare at.
And you did, you did hate lip glosses when Levi's arms were around you like that and his hands didn't shy away at the feeling of your muscles like Eren once did, because, damn, what chick wants those abs?
"'m stupid, I know," you mumbled, head titled close to his ear, but he turned to look at you, not even dancing anymore as his mouth was so damn close to yours.
"Want me to buy you another lipstick? What was it, again? R—"
You laughed, and Levi smelt the juice and whiskey on your breath. "Red, yeah. Still don't know how you found that shade, it was so nice, and I finished it too fast."
Levi smirked a little, "Told you, it's a secret. How else am I gonna surprise you?"
You felt him around you, too real, too much, it consumed you, steadily, as his eyes wondered around on your features.
"You surprise me anyway, Ackerman."
He wet his lips, then frowned, having to remind himself you weren't there for him, that you were in that position only because you were hurting again and because he was stupid and reckless and—
"Take it off, please?"
Levi searched your eyes, "What?"
"The gloss crap. Take it off, please."
Levi's breath hitched. "Are you sure?"
You looked down at his lips, "Help me a little, Levi."
Damn you. Damn you and your beautiful face, that irresistible body and that personality and the fact that it made him fall hard. So hard he couldn't deny you, even if it hurt him.
Because you were still hang on Eren, waiting and suffering, uselessly prolonging the inevitable everyone knew its end, but you.
But now you were in his arms and looking at him like he put the stars that formed those constellations you adored so much, on the sky.
Damn you, da—
He would never admit it hurt to press your lips to yours, to feel that cherry lip gloss first, then the punch as he probed at your mouth to get rid of that crap as you so nicely asked him to.
He hardly noticed how the pierces felt against his tongue, all lost to his mind as he gripped your hips tighter.
He would never admit it bothered him how your fingers played with his hair as you moved your face down and kissed him too roughly for his taste.
But it brought some satisfaction to glance over your shoulder at the shocked, angered Eren, his dance partner forgotten as he stared at his hands on your skin.
Good, it felt good. Even when Levi knew you would regret it the next day and go back to sulking over Eren.
But you brought his mouth back to yours and kept his face in your hands and made him ignore how much it hurt while he bruised your lips with too many kisses.
Levi tried to convince himself that things would finally be better, that it was the right move and he wasn't just a rebound. Maybe, if he kept telling himself that, he would believe it, too.
Even as you pecked his lips once, twice, stopped to gulp down breaths of air, like you just surfaced from water, like you've been drowning and finally, finally, you were free now.
But you stayed close, foreheads pressed against each other's while some stupid disco song started playing and Connie's excited yells surpassed even the stereo system.
You opened your mouth, and Levi wondered if he should be the first to say sorry.
"This is nice."
Flinching, you furrowed your brow and turned to look at Hange. They grinned, inches away from your face. Levi scoffed, and took one, two, fuck it—
He almost jumped away from you, putting space, almost making a statement. He glared at Hange.
"Is this our new secret handshake? I have to tell Erwin," they didn't wait, and you sighed as Hange bounced away to annoy Erwin for the millionth time that night.
You clicked your tongue, Hange forgot to tell you why they interrupted... Whatever that was with Levi, who was now rubbing his face in what you knew was annoyance.
Wetting your lips, and feeling no trace of cherry, made you feel worse than before.
"Right, I'm—"
Levi scoffed, hands back into his pockets as he already moved to walk past you. "Don't. I'm sure Jean would like to continue this."
You wondered why his words stung that much, because you were supposed to feel better after kissing someone. Because it was supposed to make you feel something else than sadness and constant self hatred.
Because—
Eren was making his way towards you, and Levi was already lost in the crowd before you could try to mend things. And say what, exactly? Nothing made sense anymore, your thoughts scattered all over the place because—
"What was that about?"
He was asking you, talking to you, and it didn't feel as good as you thought it would. Neither could bother to step aside, talk somewhere private, people still drinking and dancing around.
But why would Eren go somewhere private with you? It wasn't right. Nothing was feeling right as he glared down at you, at your swollen lips and flushed cheeks, that even the low light of the Christmas lights hanged around the walls couldn't hide.
"What?"
Sure, you were broken. Mind blank and fingers twitching to hold onto something.
Eren frowned, "What was that about, with Ackerman?"
You blinked at him. "I'm sorry?"
It wasn't the apology you almost shot at Levi earlier. You sounded too confused and shocked, even for you.
But nothing made sense and Eren was now fuming.
"Listen—"
And you were all years for him, straining yourself to hear him over the music and the crowd that pushed your bodies closer. All because you were used to this, dropping all doubts and latching onto Eren. Honestly, you couldn’t remember the last time he was that close to you, couldn’t comprehend the harsh reality.
He was there because it bothered him to lose his play toy, and you were too blind to see it, or anything else beside his eyes as he talked. Blinking, you allowed Eren to take you to the kitchen, something about another drink.
Levi was lost to you as Eren put his arm around your shoulders, barely keeping it there as he started talking about his classes and something his colleagues. You granted him your attention, all of it, never half hearted like he was with you most of the time.
Try all the time.
Because you were better, always so caring and welcoming for Eren to just pick and take whenever he pleased. But he was your friend, you cared too much about him to just let him go or ignore his needs. And he even left that pretty girl to talk with you. Surely, that must count as something.
“Where’s your lip gloss, hm?” Eren inquired, watching you over the rim of his cup as you blinked, head titled to actually think about what he asked. Then,
“Oh, sorry. must’ve worn off,” you struggled to articulate the words, barely thinking them through, feeling small, almost lost under his stare for a moment. Eren smiled down at you, almost cynically, as he put his cup down and took your hand in his.
“Want to dance?”
You nodded, faster than before, with—
It didn’t matter, not in that moment.
Assuring him it was alright, because every little thing was alright to you as long as it was Eren and his hand was taking yours, even if the hold was loose, barely there, like he was seconds away from letting it go.

I'm so glad you asked, real person who's totally off the cuff response I definitely didn't plan for! Thread baiting is a term I made up for the specific purpose of this post, most likely never to be used again, to describe those posts where op was obviously fishing for someone to reblog with a reply so they can respond with the punchline they came up with before the original post.
A lot of viral tumblr posts, especially those from the early years, follow a general structure of the original post and maybe the first reblog being set up, with the punchline coming in the reblogs after. Naturally, people will want to make similar posts so that they can have their thing reposted 80 times and end up on buzzfeed, so they write the whole exchange in their head before sitting down to post it and realising they need a random internet stranger to find and interact with their half finished post the way they imagined. To compensate, you'll sometimes see original posts that are just dripping with "hey! ask me something! correct my intentional typo! interact with me please!!! "
The most obvious classic example is probably "how to draw a sheep", a tutorial designed to be misinterpreted for comic effect.
Even in the original post you can get a sense of op's intentions from the vague instructions and the fact that on its own a tutorial on how to draw a simple cartoon sheep would just be kind of odd and pointless to post. But then op gets impatient, reblogging their own post with the caption "someone draw a sheep using these instructions", and all plausible deniablility is gone. When someone eventually does respond with the drawing, it doesn't hit as hard, to me at least, because it's not really a subversion, this was always op's intention, and it's kinda hard to ignore.
What's really interesting to me though is op isn't even baiting for a joke, they have something they genuinely want to talk about but seem to think no one will care unless they like, lure readers in with a thread or something. One post I think about all the time is this one where the op opens by briefly mentioning something using a non specific comical nickname, and when somebody asks what they're talking about because it sounds funny, they explain they were talking about their art project, and then launch into an in depth discussion on its meaning and inspiration and stuff. And like, no shade to the artist if they somehow see me vaugeposting about them, the art was quite good, and it was a genuinely interesting post, but it's so funny to me because they clearly just wanted an excuse to talk about their art project.
This post doesn't really have a point, i just wanted to talk about this phenomenon because I think it's interesting, and I see it a lot. I could have waited for somebody else's permission to go off about this, but that shouldn't be necessary.
i think about thread baiting so often tbh like girl just make the post you clearly wanted to make
#fr tho no shade to any of these posts or their ops#i don't think this is like a bad thing to do or anything i just find it distracting and kinda funny

🕯Anon said : Can I request headcanons with a Modern Au Teacher!Erwin and his s/o is a slightly famous artist like a painter that’s always in the basement. Maybe have a moment where the art teacher begs him to bring them to the school when they find out who Erwin is with. ? 🕯
Teacher!Erwin brings you, a famous painter, to work.
{ Erwin x Reader | tw:none | fluff, suggestive kiss | modern }
{ "Leisurely Sunday in the Villa Comunale in Naples" 1993 by Francesco Tammaro Born in 1939 }
Grassy fields surrounded the old big building as the trees undressing of their leaves onto the sidewalks, currently being swept away by the janitor.
Students were filling the halls, the sound of chatter and laughter following after. Outside in the yard, the whistle of the gym teacher could be heard following by heavy footsteps as the football team started their morning practice. Not long after the bell rang, the halls were empty again only for some crumbled papers and snack covers left behind.
"Pigs, all of them. There's a trashcan right there." Levi scrunched his nose at the smell of axe spray and deodorant near the trophy cases. "Tell Miche to spray his running monkeys with soap every once in a while."
"Now now, what got you so grumpy this early in the morning?" Adjusting the lab coat on their suit, Hange replied. "Oh cut the kids some slack, their big game is coming soon or something."
"And he's been implenting a more strick hygiene policy." Said Erwin, holding a plastic binder with a stack of exam papers, mostly marked red. "He's trying to convince the principal to ban deodorant during practice because it's making his nose burn."
Huffing in response, Levi crossed his arms. "Yeah because the principle will definitely listen to him after that whole sniffing people scandal- Hey! Brats, don't you have classes"
As Levi went to scold the two students currently hanging a handmade poster for the upcoming game on the wall, a couple of students came up to Hange, looking in a hurry as they explained the Science lab was locked and they're getting tired of sitting on their backpacks outside.
Soon after, Erwin too made his way to class.
Upon entering the room, the talking quieted down as the squeaking sound of people going back to their own desks followed. Walking upfront, Erwin dropped the binder on his desk beside the empty mug, a couple of groans filled the room as the students realised what it was.
"Mr.Smith, didn't we just take the test yesterday? Shouldn't you like...I don't know double check or something? Maybe you rushed grading them?" One student called from the back as some chuckles and agreement followed from the rest.
Taking the stacks of papers out, Erwin made his way between the students, giving each on their graded paper. "I don't know Connie, maybe you should've double checked your answers instead?"
The playful atmosphere of the classroom was cut short as the door slammed open, making everyone freeze in their seats, none other than the art teacher walked in.
Nile Dawk, current art teacher who fails at least a quarter of his class each year. Who has oh just the most swell relationship with Erwin and anyone can tell you that.
You see, Erwin adored art, both the classic and the modern. Nile admired history and knew just how each art era had its link to a historical event.
And the pair couldn't stand each other.
Crossing his arms, Nile said "Erwin, you have explaining to do." Before dropping a newly printed magazine onto his desk,
Its cover, showing a brand new art museum that just finished construction and is hosting a lot of different paintings from unrecognised underground talents.
"Nile, I think you misunderstand. I teach history, I'm not an architect." He said raising an eyebrow, before tilting his head as if he's deep in thought, "or do you want me to explain what a museum is?"
Sneering at his remark, Nile flipped through the pages till he reached a certain one. It depicted a one of the paintings that will be displayed in the museum, a portrait of a blond man with broad shoulders and sharp blue eyes seemingly distracted from reality by the book in his hand.
The soft glow of the fireplace next to the red armchair he sat in, adding a certain orange hue to his light complexion. His long fingers holding the leather book as a glass-stained maroon vase sat on the small table behind him, containing a single red rose.
It's clear from the details poured into his eyes and the shading for each strand of his hair that whoever made this painting, held a great affection for the man.
"Now Mr.history teacher, care to explain why your face is on this painting? By one of the few promising artists of this useless generation?."
Hushed murmurs filled the classroom as students took out their phones googling the name y/n, showing each other the said painting while staring with wide eyes at Erwin.
Rubbing his temple with his fingers, Erwin frowned at the scene the other was causing. Knowing very well it won't take long for this fire to spread, he decided to add more fuel to the flames.
He took a long breath, before telling the class to quiet down with a stern expression.
"Mr.Dawk, are you really asking me why y/n, my love, the person I'm married to, paint me?" He said facing the other, looking directly into his eyes. "Maybe you should ask y/n instead if you're so insisting on forcing yourself in my private life."
Narrowing his eyes, Nile snorted. "You know what Erwin? Maybe I should.
And that's the story Erwin told you while having dinner that day.
He looks at you with pleading eyes as if to silently apologise for dragging you into this mess, his plate still half full and drink untouched.
Please reassure him that it's alright, you don't mind taking a day off to visit his work
He'll reach out to gently squeeze your hand in his, whispering a small thank you as his thumb rubs against your skin.
He also says he'll do the dishes that day, you can go rest and he will join you in bed after a while, a relieved smile on his face.
The next day, as he wakes up early like usual. He makes sure to wake you up with a kiss, stroking your face before murmuring "good morning" against your lips.
He knows because of your work you don't wake up early, so he's really patient and understanding if you happen to get grumpy for a while.
Handing you a warm drink to help wake you up, he'll make sure you eat something before changing and heading out.
You're not surprised to find him already done and dressed himself.
Hair as perfect as usual.
On the drive to school, you'll feel the cool morning air against your skin while your head leans back into the seat, eyes fluttering shut.
You can have your mini nap, Erwin will make sure to wake you up when you arrive.
When arriving, he made sure to open the car door for you. The fresh air and green scenery surrounded you both.
When arriving at the teacher's lounge, you're almost surprised to see two people already there from how early it was.
The first was sitting on the old black couch near the window, his dirty blond bangs covering his eyes. The second you could see making tea on the other side of the room Where the kitchenware was.
Both of them glanced up when Erwin called their name, staring at the way he had an arm wrapped around your waist while introducing you.
It was Miche who came first, standing from the couch you noticed just how tall he was. Offering your hand for him to shake, only for him to pull you into a tight hug instead.
He pulled away, tapping his nose before a smile slowly formed on his face, nodding in approval
The second was Levi, who ignored your offered hand only to sip on his teacup, assessing you up and down.
Not too long after, a person with a messy ponytail and a colorful lab coat arrived.
They took one glance at you, then the matching wedding rings on yours and Erwins fingers before taking an immediate interest in you.
Hange asked questions faster than you can answer them, with sparkling eyes and a wide smile.
At the first sign of you being uncomfortable, it was Levi who stepped in to tell Hange to tone it down before apologizing to you.
And it was Miche who got you some snacks from the teacher's secret stash after.
You've heard stories and one sided phone calls about them from Erwin, yet it still didn't prepare you for actually meeting them.
While overwhelming at first, the more time you spent talking as Erwin reassuringly sat beside you, you noticed how genuinely interested they were.
Levi, while seemingly cold, was actually the most considerate and paid the most attention to you. He'd step in whenever things got too much and would be really polite despite having a colourful language. By the end of it he even made you some tea, something that seemed to surprise Erwin and the rest.
"It's just...he never trusted someone this quickly before."
Hange was genuinely interested in you, having researched you and your art beforehand. They really were eager to hear even the most boring details and were capable of understanding your way of thinking. They even gave you a small rubber frog they carried around in their pocket to hand out. It would've been cute wasn't for the fact immediately after they mentioned the real human skeleton they have pinned to the lab door.
"His name is bean! I've been actually investing into getting him a human heart for Valentine's day, but all the ones I've found so far were in jars."
The most quiet of them was actually Miche, although he'd smile at you whenever you looked his way. Despite his intimidating size you learned how harmless and easy going he is, the most chill out of the three. He did mention knowing Erwin for the longest time out of them, having been childhood friends even. He promised to tell you all the embarrassing secrets Erwin tried to erase from existence as he added his number on your phone.
"He ain't as proper as he looks, I got the dirt on him."
You saw Erwin's jaw tightening before he changed the subject quickly, giving the side eye to Miche who only smiled back.
The rest of the day went by smoothly, Erwin didn't leave your side for one minute and made sure to check on you constantly.
He introduced you to the rest of the teachers and seemed only amused at any teasing he got from students passing by.
By the end of the day, as the sun began to set and the students already done with their clubs, you and Erwin had one final place to go.
The art classroom.
"Just one more thing before that" he told you, guiding you into an empty classroom.
You saw his desk, the mug you gifted him on father's day as a joke sat on his desk, several paper sketches you made were framed next to it.
It was his classroom, with only you and him, the door open.
He closed it.
You stood against his desk as he moved closer, arms circling you, not breaking eye contact.
"May I?" He whispered, licking his own lips.
As he got your permission, he pressed his lips against yours, arm stroking your back before pulling away after some seconds.
He rubbed your swollen bottom lip with his thumb, a small smile on his face before pulling away.
Your heart was still fluttering against your chest as you left the classroom, while Erwin seemed to be smiling at nothing with a slight curl to his lips, steps more lighter than before.
Right after that he took you to the art classroom. The smell of oil paint and sound of brushes scratching against paper filling the air.
Stepping inside, the scratching sound stopped as a certain black haired man stared at you, eyes wide and lips parted.
Disbelief clear in his face, Nile was quick to mask his emotions as he noticed the smugness Erwin was in.
"Nile, I'd like to introduce you to my lovely darling, y/n." There was a chipper to Erwin's voice as he leaned in to kiss your cheek.

Pairings: jaemin x reader
Genre: smut, fluff (mostly at the end but it's short 🤠)
<previous>
Warnings: dom!jaemin, brat!reader, brat taming, punishment, overstimulation, edging, face slapping (literally slaps her once), choking (wOw iM sO sHocKeD), hair grabbing, degradation, jaemins gets angrier throughout the story, fingering, finger sucking, praising, unprotected sex, soft sex, y/ns pretty dumb but I think we knew that by now, once again jaemin calls himself nana because shut up
Tag list: @ahgastayzen @allykookiez @wooyugta @dreamlesswonder86 @taetaeismy @nanaysa @patchi-chi @simplicitysbabe @sweetjaemss @huangvibez @kaitherring @xxjaemchenct
It was obvious how tense and awkward jaemin was the entire time you stayed at his house, which lasted longer than you thought. You stayed for two days, per jaemins request, and you thought what if he's finally angry and decides to break. No, it was the complete and utter opposite. Jaemin was sweet, something you've barely seen when he used to bully or make fun of you before all this happened. He made sure you were okay staying with him another night and took care of you when you weren't hungover.
Did anything special happen though? Nope, just you and jaemin cuddling every so often while binge watching Netflix shows while he sometimes cracked jokes here and there.
It was definitely a sight to see. Even made you wonder if this is what its like to date him.
"Nana," you spoke, jaemin lifting his head off your shoulders to give you his attention, "Get up, we need to go to school."
Jaemin groaned, putting his head down on your pillow like chest and began, "Can't we just skip school?" He whined, "Maybe play a bit too?" Jaemin lifted his chin up, placing it on top of your breasts as he pouted, waiting for you to give into his cuteness.
Wouldn't that be nice- but you weren't going to miss school to mess around with jaemin. No way. You weren't even his girlfriend yet and you were sure his little play thing, seulgi, wouldn't be too happy, shes been calling him since he brought you here.
"No." You grabbed him by his hair and peeled him off your body. Jaemin wasn't very amused by the action.
"Oh i get it." He mumbled, "You want to see jeno, right?"
The question caught you off guard. But jaemin being jealous wasn't unknown to you anymore. He was possessive, that much you knew, and he always found a way to guilt trip you about it.
"I mean, we have been talking a lot more so a lil bit." You smiled, earning an eye roll from jaemin as he got up with nothing else to say and stalked his closet for something to wear. You glanced at your clothes which were actually his. And since you never went back to your apartment to get another outfit, you had to wear what you wore at the party.
Eyes stared into your bare back after you threw off the shirt that covered your body. They lingered, but didn't settle on staying until you slipped the bralette on.
Jaemin was going to comment about it, yet kept his mouth shut because there was no use saying he could give you a t-shirt instead, youd just complain about how it didn't match.
But the skirt was a different story. It was a party skirt, something way too short for school. No wonder jeno liked it. And to be honest, jaemin didn't hate it himself, he'd just rather not have people like jeno staring at you and your thighs. You were his. At least in his head you were.
"Fuck!" You screamed, "My bags at home." Softening your voice, jaemin just about wanted to smack you for scaring the shit out of him. He actually thanked the heavens your bag wasn't here, it gave you a reason to change.
"Let's go to your place quickly before school starts." Jaemin grabbed his things and you nodded, following behind him almost speed walking because of how long his strides were. "And change when we get there too."
You looked down at your fit and hummed, stepping into the car ready for jaemin to go.
"I don't think I can handle trig anymore." You bit your lip at the paper in hand. Jaemin looked down over your shoulder and almost scoffed. It was the homework due today, of course it was also one of the hardest pages the professor had given the class too, making it ten times harder for you to finish.
"If you had come over these past few nights, you wouldn't be so stressed." Jaemin shrugged.
It was like you knew he would say that with the way you rolled your eyes and crumpled the paper up, "Im actually thinking of dropping that class." You stated.
"Dont." He rested a hand on your shoulder, "Come over later and I'll help you." It wasn't even a question, in fact it was him telling you to do something. Its clear jaemins had enough of you ignoring him and hes also fed up with your complaining. Even wondered why you held out this long.
"But-"
"I'm not taking no for an answer anymore." Jaemin stated sternly as he sighed, stopping in front of your classroom and put his hands in his pocket. "Stop trying to ignore me," he leaned forward, just inches away from your face, "its not working."
"Just because you think its not working doesn't mean its not working...." You tilted your head to the side questioning your own words, "Anyway, you're jealous." Crossing your arms and leaning against the wall, your ego fed off of jaemins glaring eyes.
"Bullshit," jaemin tsked, "why would I be jealous?"
You smirked despite knowing you were playing a dangerous game with him. And jaemins good at playing games, he's done it to you for years.
You took a step forward, ultimately getting closer to his still leaned over figure and said, "You kept staring at jeno and I at the cafe and you had an attitude the entire time. Its obvious you know." Slithering a hand up his cheek, you pinched his smooth skin, "Nanas jealous."
It was an understatement to say jaemin didn't feel shivers go up his spine from your low voice. For once jaemin didn't have anything to come up with. Nothing crossed his mind to tell you that what you saw of him wasn't him being jealous, but that would be the dumbest of lies.
"Quiet for once? That's a first." You snickered at the small shade of red on his cheeks. It was either anger or him actually getting flustered. Either way you still claimed victory for keeping him surprisingly quiet.
Jaemin pulled your hand away from his face and opened his mouth, "Admit that you're purposely doing it then. There's no way you and jeno are magically good friends now. You hate him just as much as you hated me."
"Im not purposely making you jealous," you lied, "And I never hated jeno, just strongly disliked him for being friends with you."
The older almost laughed in your face from how stupid your lie was. "If you want my attention, say it." He smirked, proceeding to push you against the wall behind you without a second thought making you uncross your arms, "Its not hard y/n."
His hands trailed down to your waist, intensly watching your face as you looked around him, afraid that what he'd do will go too far and some students will see a not so innocent sight.
"Youre full of yourself." You inhaled sharply as he leaned forward ever so closely, just barely brushing his lips over yours.
"And you'll be full of nana soon." Jaemin almost closed the space between you with his lips, but someone stopped him.
"Jaemin!!!" Seulgi came running up to jaemin in her cute high heeled shoes. Her hair bouncing perfectly against her back as she pulled him away from you and into a hug, not before she planted a kiss to his lips as if you weren't standing right there, "I haven't seen you in so long, babe. You didn't call." She pouted with more puppy eyes than normal.
You missed the way jaemin growled at her, almost throwing seulgi off him since you were so focused on them kissing. Never did you think you'd witness it either. Something about it made your stomach churn and you couldnt bare stand there for long before walking away, taking zero notice of the way jaemin called out for you.
"Let's get some coffee before the bell rings." Seulgi pulled jaemin, but his eyes still lingered on the door you entered.
You couldnt stop your mind from racing in class. It was like your mind was playing games on you, telling you that jaemin wasn't in the slightest interested in you and thats why he never answered you, because he was too embarrassed to be seen with someone like you.
But that was only you overthinking.
Obviously jaemin cared for you, he wouldnt have let you stay over his house, tutored you, or be possessive when it came to you. So why did he kiss her back? In front of you too? Was he actually dating her for real?
These questions ran through your head, giving you a mini headache from thinking too hard about it.
It was like you were in high school all over again where everything was dramatic for no reason, well in some aspects you made it this way, but your point still stands.
"Y/n," someone tapped the table repeatedly, bringing you back to reality, "Class is over." jeno looked at you with suspicion but brushed it off thinking you were probably tired.
You glanced around the empty room before looking back at jeno, "Oh...yeah."
"Well uh," he scratched the back of his head, "You should probably get to your next class."
That's the last thing you wanted to do. Jaemin would be there and so was one of seulgis minions that always kept an eye out for anything he did. As annoying as it was, you weren't surprised anymore.
"Im gonna skip."
Jeno grimaced as you stood up and grabbed your things, walking towards the rooms exit as he followed close behind, "You? Skip? What the fuck??"
You stopped in your tracks, jeno almost bumbing into you in the process, "Do I need to spell it out for you or something? S-k-"
"No shut up. Its just shocking that your skipping." Jeno half grinned at the way you stared at him stoically.
"What are you getting at?"
The man before you chuckled, "Im saying youre a goody two shoes and you've never done a bad thing in your life."
You can't say he was wrong, but you also have to admit that you have stepped out of your shell recently and maybe for the better.
"Everyone changes some time in their lives." You pointed out, strolling out of the class to nowhere specific. "Better run to class jeno, dont want the teacher calling you put again."
"Yeah yeah." He eye smiled, giving you a quick pat on the back before saying bye and walking to his class.
You couldnt help but smile at him as he moved further and further away. You had to admit, jeno wasn't as bad as you thought. Not anymore anyway. But as jeno soon disappeared around a corner, you sighed and sauntered to the library where you were going to do your work until class ended.
Students were scattered everywhere in the library, some typing away at their laptops or school computers while others had papers and books sprawled out in front of them. Unfortunately for you, you were going to be the ones with almost any school supply in front of them. And with a sigh and slouched shoulders, you sat at an empty desk near the front of the library, taking your homework out as well as some books.
Normally it wouldn't be a problem for you to focus, but it was stressful with so many things laid out for you. Face palming and groaning quietly at your trig paper, you attempted the first problem which honestly didn't seem too bad, but you weren't always so sure of yourself when doing these kinds of things. Mostly because you second guessed yourself making you pick the wrong answer when you were originally right.
"This is so fucking stupid." You threw your head into your hands, giving up on trying since it was useless anyway. You needed jaemin. He was the only reason you started getting some good grades on your work.
"Whats stupid?"
Speak of the devil.
"The trig home- wait why aren't you in class?" You gazed at him before averting your eyes, not trying to let them linger too long.
Jaemin pulled a chair out and sat closely beside you, raising a brow as you inched away from him. "I could ask you the same thing." He tipped the chair back a little, keeping his eyes locked on the side of your stoic face.
"Im doing something if you can't tell." You snapped, instantly regretting the way your voice raised once you noticed jaemin clenching his jaw out the corner of your eye. But you couldnt help it, you were still frustrated, embarrassed, and jealous from earlier.
"Whats wrong?" Jaemin calmed himself, not wanting to blow up at you.
"Nothing." You ignored his eyes that watched you do out the problem. Probably silently telling you that it was all wrong but you weren't trying to pay attention to him.
"Youre doing it again."
"Doing what? I'm just trying to do my work." After writing your answer down, you checked over tbe work before you smiled to yourself. This had to be the right answer.
"Stop playing dumb." he grabbed your chin, "You know what you're doing."
Wiggling out of his grasp was no use, jaemin managed to move his hand to your jaw to keep you still.
You winced at the sudden squeeze, "I dont know what you're talking about."
Jaemin had enough of this bullshit, now grabbing your neck instead. Your eyes wondered the room hoping no one was paying attention, "Im not playing games with you. Why are you ignoring me again?"
"That's a good question." You looked away and though jaemims grip was starting to hurt more each second, you still found a way to show your disinterest.
Jaemin sighed, letting his hand drop and you inhaled deeply without a second thought. "Whats wrong then?"
"I told you its nothing."
"Bullshit." Jaemin took the pencil out of your hand just as you were about to write, your hand flying up to try and take it back but he pulled away.
"You really wanna know then?" You asked sharply to which jaemin nodded, "You kissed seulgi. Happy now?"
Jaemins mouth fell at your confession. Yes he figured that upset you a bit, but he never thought it was enough for you to ignore him.
"I never even went that far with jeno."
"Never went that far, huh?" He snapped back, shaking his head in disbelief as his face once again was steaming with anger. "Need i remind you how you made out with him at the party. Or were you that wasted and cant remember?"
The new found anger overlapped the previous one with more than just anger, but annoyance. There was no way jaemin was telling the truth, you would never kiss jeno.
"No i didnt."
"Dont tell me you didn't, I fucking saw it." His hand found its way on the table creating a loud bam that startled not only you, but a few kids that even lifted their heads to see what caused the noise. "You were the first one to go that far, so blame yourself before you blame me."
Taking a deep breath, you had to calm down before you said something you'd regret. Knowing jaemin too, you already had something waiting for you at his house.
"I believe you." Jaemin was ready to open his mouth but you were quick and responded, "because i remember." The problem with this answer was because it was untruthful. You already dug yourself a whole from the beginning yet you knew what you were getting yourself into. There was something about playing with jaemins anger that made you go wild.
Determined with your lie, you kept the straightest face like it was proof you recalled that night. Jaemin too was focused only on your face, his hand balling into a fist ever so slowly.
"I remember....he was a really good kisser," you whispered, "And you looked so mad." Snickering away at your words, you placed a hand on jaemins lap and watched his expression go from anger to almost frothing at the mouth.
Bingo. He was too far gone to see through you at this point and this is where you smirked to yourself.
"You're unbelievable." He scoffed, rolling his eyes thinking about how fed up he was, "Lets go."
Despite being told what to do, you sat looking between jaemin and your sprawled out homework. "I have things to do."
Jaemin literally shoved all your papers into your bag, not caring how they crumpled in the small space as you complained and swatted at his arm. Of course though, jaemin payed no mind to it, grabbing your hand and bag before dragging you out of the library.
You fought and struggled to get out of his grip. From the start you knew what you were getting into, that's why you did what you did. Now being dragged to his house it dawned on you that it was time to suffer whatever he had in mind.
"When we get to my house," jaemin locked his eyes with yours as he led you to his car, "We'll study trig, and depending on my mood and your attitude after, I might go easy with the punishment later."
"Im not going over to study and then be punished afterwards." Your voice faltered as you saw a familiar someone walking towards you and jaemin.
Jenos eyes lit up sadistically, smiling at you, telling you to smile back for one reason: to set jaemin off.
You did without hesitation, jaemins hold getting tighter and tighter as he glared at his best friend who walked by, holding the proudest grin on his face.
Once at the car, jaemin shoved you inside the passenger seat, slamming the door before he situated himself in the drivers side. Your eyes watched in annoyance yet you were intrigued. Maybe because you haven't had any action with jaemin since about a week ago.
Resting your head against the headrest, you stared outside the window. There wasn't any way you could hold another conversation with the man, it would only drive your hormones insane.
Its been thirty minutes and to say you were paying attention would be the stupidest thing ever. every word that jaemin said went in one ear and out the other. Some part of you was purposely choosing to ignore him, but your attention span was almost non existent in the first place. So listening to jaemin talk about trigonometry was only boring you.
You tapped out, playing with your pencil or doodling on the paper. Each time you weren't paying attention, jaemin would ask you to write down the answer or a land a slap right on your thigh. It stung and made up jump with shock in your eyes as jaemin told you the same thing each time: "pay attention." But did you? God no. It was impossible. With the thought of a punishment too, it made your mind run like it was in a marathon.
"Little girl," jaemins voice once again brought you back to reality, "what did nana just say?" You shrugged your shoulders slightly, keeping your head down like you were shy yet you were far from it, holding a small grin on your innocent face.
"I dont know, nor do I care." You finally looked up. Jaemin was none too happy, letting his chest fall.
Shaking his head, he said once more to listen and pay attention.
Jaemin took your pencil so he could write out the problem for you, deciding to be nice even though you weren't returning it. You watched the way his pretty hands flexed with every number or letter he wrote. The subtle veins showing every so often too made you almost drool at the sight. Oh what you would do to have him wrap his hands around your neck again.
"Solve it." Jaemin threw the pencil down in front of you, resting his head in his hand to watch you. But you didn't move, not even a simple budge.
"No."
"Y/n its not that fucking hard, just solve it."
You glanced at the paper then the pencil that laid on the table before grabbing it and snapping it in half.
"Im not doing it." You faked a smile, ready for jaemin to snap just like the pencil.
"You need to pass this class, y/n. Stop messing around and pay attention."
You shot up from your seat, "I. Dont. Care. I'm going home."
It wasn't long before he suddenly stood up too, grabbing you by the hair and threw you on his bed, "Okay you wanna act up?" He hovered over you, pinning your arms down on the soft bed as he straddled your lower half. "I dont get why you continue to act like a brat when you know you're going to be punished. Unless you want it?" Jaemins face was merely inches in front of yours not until you blew into his face and smirked when he flinched and pulled away.
"Ever wonder why I act this way? Your easy to push, I can get in your head and make you get mad so I get exactly what I want." You snickered, "Not to mention its to make you suffer for not answering my question." A hand was placed on his covered chest, rubbing small circles on the fabric of the shirt.
Suddenly, jaemin laughed. Though, it wasn't a joyful one. It was more sadistic and filled with amusement, "How is it making me suffer if you're the one about to be punished?"
"Cuz i still get what I want in the end."
"My dick or my attention?"
"Both."
Jaemnn chuckled dryly, quickly sitting back and tearing your clothes off without a second thought.
You were ready to protest about your clothes until jaemin took matters in his own hands and shoved his fingers nearly down your throat to shut you up.
"Im tired of your voice." He spat, "All you talk is shit."
Whimpering around his fingers, you tried anything in your power to try and pry them out. He never moved back, sticking his fingers deeper and deeper until he heard you gag and whine the best you could. Your throat felt so tight and it was getting harder to breathe. Jaemin didn't care, deciding to just fuck your mouth with his fingers as he started pulling your pants and panties down, lifting his hips up so he can take them off all the way.
"It would be so much nicer if you weren't a brat you know." Jaemin began, easily shoving two fingers inside your dripping cunt, "Nana could've stuffed you full of his cock, made love to you, and made you happy. Instead," his fingers that were buried in your heat, curled and pushed in a certain way that made your eyes roll, "You wanted to be a little bitch."
You drew out a long hum, the pleasure felt so good after pushing jaemin for so long. All his anger was going to this one punishment and you should've felt scared, but you weren't. You were excited and loved every bit of it.
The way he fingered you was almost too surreal. It made your body crumple against his will and he wasn't even fucking you yet.
It was getting harder to breathe being filled by his two fingers. Just barely becoming too overwhelming so you tapped his hand to signal you needed to breathe. Jaemin took his hand out, watching your face to make sure you were okay as you gasped for air.
"Are y-you try-trying to kill me or s-something?" You moaned at one particular hard thrust that made your breath hitch.
"Oh shut up, I know you liked it. Probably imagined my cock down your throat." He bit his lip, taking in the thought of what you would look like on your knees for him before shaking it off.
"I-i was n-not."
Jaemin smirked devishly, scissoring his fingers to stretch you out more, but you kept clenching around him. Your hand grabbed his wrists in a death grip, moans fell from your open mouth and jaemin ate that all up. Loving how your body shook, knowing you were so close.
Right when you felt your orgasm coming, jaemin ripped his fingers out of you, essentially letting your juices flow out. But you didn't cum, no you were just that wet.
Your hips lifted up like you would get friction but there was nothing to get friction from, you looked dumb and pathetic.
"Not fair..." you mumbled, frowning at the annoying smirk on jaemins face.
"Punishments aren't supposed to be fair," he said a matter of factly, pushing your hips back down on your bed as he grazed his fingers over your wetness before pushing back in again.
This time setting a ruthless pace, taking in your fucked out expression.
"Jaemin- please im s-so close." Fidgeting and clawing at his wrists, the orgasm built back up. It got closer, closer, closer. Right there, it was right there, but jaemin took it away from you again.
"God, I love this way more than I should. Breaking a brat is so much fun." His fingers dripped with your arousal. He stared at the strand connecting his fingers. It was so much and so lewd, it should've been embarrassing to you yet it made him want more from you. "How many times should nana edge his pretty girl? Maybe-"
"Fuck you." You cried, ready to take this into your own hands and finish yourself off.
Jaemins hand made a perfect necklace on your neck, tightening his grip on the sides so you felt all his anger, "Thats the last thing I would say if I were you."
"W-what are y-you gonna do? Spank me?" Thinking he actually would if you said that, you were slapped across the face, eyes not staring at jaemin anymore but the wall next to the bed.
"Dont test me anymore, your already in for it." He growled into your ear. Leaving his hand wrapped around your neck, he slipped back inside, this time fucking his fingers into you at an antagonizing slow pace.
You wanted to scream and push him away for being a tease, but you reminded yourself that this is what you wanted, this was what you'll get. You had no idea how long this pain will continue though. All you could think about was cumming. In fact, that was the only thing on your mind as he fingered your tight pussy. The pain of not being able to orgasm was so unbearable, it just about made your eyes tear up. Were you that desperate that you'd cry over it?
"I wanna...c-cum so bad..."
The man above you stared at you in disbelief. He basically just started and you were already a mess.
"You really want to cum that badly?" You nodded hastily, tears at the brink of falling, you couldnt hold it in anymore, "Then apologize for all the shit you put us through. Starting with you ignoring me, fake dating jeno, and purposely pissing me off for the hell of it." Jaemin said with his whole chest. Being able to say it out loud reminded him of everything. From the time you started this crap, to now.
"I-im sorry- I'm so f-fucking sorry, jaemin." You forced yourself to look into his eyes, his angry red eyes that tore into your soul to find any lie, yet you had none. You meant what you said with full honesty, "Please nana, l-let me cum."
Jaemin simply gave you a nod and thats when you let everything out. You came all over his fingers but jaemin didn't stop nor slow down. He kept the same rough pace as before and you could only scream and cry from the sensitivity.
Then jaemin started rubbing and pinching your sensitive clit before giving your cunt a slap that made you jolt and cry out.
"Ahh- w-wait jae-mmm....s-so sensitive."
Jaemin rolled his eyes, "thought you wanted to cum? I'm giving you what you want, babe."
Your legs closed around his fingers though it didn't stop him from curling and fucking them inside. He could just easily push them open yet he found your sensitivity amusing which led you to cum again without warning.
"What a pathetic little fucking brat you are." He gathered the white substance that leaked from your clentching hole and shoved it back in, "Making such a mess of yourself."
Your back arched, even more sensitive than before.
The hand on your neck moved down to your breast, squeezing at your nipples and playing with everything he could get his hand on. Your nipples were so sensitive that that alone could make you cry and moan just from a simple touch.
His fingers brushed against your sweet spot where you screamed his name. Being over sensitive made everything feel more pleasurable and painful. Every small touch on your pussy brought you to a shaking pleasure that you couldnt control. It was becoming too much and too overwhelming.
"Fuck, are you gonna cum again? It hasn't even been five minutes." He watched, eyes filled with amazement as you shook and once again, came on his sheets and fingers.
Your shaking didn't stop though, it was like the kind of shake you get when your cold, though you were far from it. The intensity of this orgasm was just too much where even jaemin had to pull his fingers out and let you breathe for a moment.
"You okay, baby?" He asked quietly, kissing your temple as you nodded your head, "Can you give nana one more then?" Not wanting to stop, you nodded without a thought causing jaemin to smile and lean back.
Jaemin finally got rid of his clothing, crawling back on the bed before giving you a kiss so you wouldn't notice how he slipped his cock inside.
Surprisingly jaemin took his time pushing in, savoring your sweet little moans that drove him crazy. He started and kept a slow pace that made the overwhelming feeling dissolve away. Now you were wrapping your legs around his waist and staring into the soft eyes of jaemins that were just red a second ago.
Every vein against your walls made you feel ecstasy. Jaemin was careful with each thrust and it felt like pure love. They were passionate and he didn't fail to show it.
"Taking nanas cock so well, just like the good girl you are." Jaemin smiled at your beautiful face that contorted into pleasure. Both of your moans filled the room. More cuss words were thrown from you like it was the only thing in your dictionary.
The lewd sounds of your bodys bounced off the walls as jaemin fucked you slow and steady, grabbing your hips gently as he kissed all over your face, neck, and breasts. He sucked on your skin here and there, creating small bruises that looked like a tattoo as you grabbed the back of his head, lifting him up by the hair to bring his face to yours so you could place a kiss to his red lips.
The kiss was sloppy and slow. Neither of you cared though, both focused on your orgasms that kept coming closer.
Jaemins thrusts stuttered and his cock twitched inside you. The hand in jaemins hair pulled and messed up his locks, sure to create a messy sight later on.
" 'm gon-gonna cum." You moaned, lifting your hips up to meet his along the way.
"Cum, princess."
The final orgasm left your body feeling like it was on a cloud while all you saw were stars making jaemin coo at your fucked out face.
Pulling out, jaemin finished on your stomach before letting his body fall next to yours, wrapping an arm around your hips and pulling you into him..
You both panted out of tiredness, neither one bothering to move as you were both spent.
"Did I hurt you, princess? Are you feeling okay?"
You smiled into his chest, "no you didn't hurt me and I feel fine."
"Good." Jaemin smiled, petting your hair before laying his head on top of yours, "Wanna go on a date?"
You swear your heart stopped as your face heated up, "Jaemin, you're doing everything backwards."
"So is that a yes or no?"
"Of course its a yes!"
It was a peaceful restaurant that jaemin brought you to, saying it was supposed to be a place a lot of couples went to which you thought was absolutely sweet of him.
"So...uh." jaemin looked anywhere but your face like he didn't just have sex with you for the second time.
You snickered and sipped the drink in your hand, "Why are you so awkward all of a sudden? Its just me."
"I know it's just- I feel like I can't say what I wanna say because I'm afraid." Jaemin sighed.
"Of what exactly?" You placed the drink down, watching as jaemin fumbled with the menu before he covered his mouth and mumbled something you coulsnt quite grasp, "What did you say?"
"...nothing."
"Jaemin."
His doe eyes stared into yours like it was some sort of contest, wanting you to look away first but you and he did, "Alright fine. I said I'm a bit nervous if I were to ask you out."
Tilting your head to the side, you puffed your cheeks out in confusion, "Why?"
"The last relationship I had, the girl cheated on me. Afterwards she said it was because i wasn't good enough." He frowned, returning his attention back to the menu where you presumed was his hiding place for the time being.
"Well she's a bitch and is missing out on an amazing person." You pushed the menu down, "Is that why you acted that way when you saw jeno and I at the cafe? Did you think I thought you weren't good enough?"
Jaemin nodded slowly, "Kind of. I didn't want to lose someone I loved again."
"Loved? Na jaemin-"
"Dont say it." He groaned.
"You've gotten soft! Does this mean what I think it means?" You quirked a suggestive brow at him causing him to put his head in his hand.
"Yes, ill be your boyfriend." He said in his hand before you took it away and grabbed his face to kiss him. "I- princess when did you become do confident?"
"When did you become so shy?"
"Fair point."
Everything felt right all of a sudden. No more of jaemin being your bully. No more coffee being poured on your head. No more stupid high school drama that wasn't even drama in the first place. It was all right for once. And you couldnt say you could complain. After weeks, you got what you struggled to have before; na jaemin.
