@ the kabru post: it's so difficult when something you love gets popular bcus on one hand, im so happy that it's getting the attention it deserves, but then it turns out much of said attention is just boring shipping stuff that was Kind of ignorable before... no character from DM is safe from it but 😭 they've massacred our boyyyy. god it's such a non issue & yet, i long for the days where we can engage with a series beyond just shipping.

i hate complaining about that kind of stuff because you're right it's a non issue it doesn't matter but it's so annoyinggggggg...

as for engaging with a series beyond shipping, from experience it really depends on the type of series, where you hang out and what demographic because there's a lot of spaces where it's not a focus and tumblr is kind of the worst for not seeing shipping content, fanbases who use it love that stuff. people rag on reddit a lot online but its a space that's more prone to people posting long insane theory stuff. you find whole subsets of anime fans across the online who just care about sexy girl characters. etc etc really it depends and sometimes you just can't escape it at all. pensive emoji. my inbox is the only safe space for shipping haters i can offer for now
