What’s your rendering process/brush you use?

bit long so

ok so first brushes:

i still use both paint tool sai and medibang paint (the latter of which is freeware btw!) bc csp is too complicated for me to get into

i posted my brushes a while back here and they're pretty much the same, granted i play around with some individual settings a lot so if you wanna use them just do the same until you get something that works for you. also i forgot this at the time but i have textures loaded up into sai that i downloaded from a free resource pack on deviantart like 10 years ago lmao AND i think recent versions of medibang got rid of the sumi ink brush bc i went through hell trying to recreate it when i got a new computer so i'll just post those at the bottom.

anyway next up my rendering process is a mess tbh.

i have a basic system of sketch>optional cleaner sketch>base colors painted under>play with layer modes>merge all layers and blend/redefine things until i either like what i end up with or give up.

i've got some intermediate layers i've saved but beyond that i'm not sure how to describe the actual painting bit.

sai used on top, medibang on the bottom

also i usually play with colors and adjust things in photoshop after and bada boom thats it.

anyway this is the dirt05 texture i use in sai. tumblr won't let me upload a bmp image so you'll have to reconvert it but after that you just open the program source files and toss it into the brushtext folder and it should show up upon reopening the main .exe

and this is the medibang brush i use, i'm pretty sure anyway, but if not i can dig up the raw brush file too. also apparently updated versions of mdp have a timelapse feature which would have probably helped but i've found that older versions have less performance issues and generally work better for me
