finished rereading the first volume it took me forever cause I jotted down a gazillion things and also had to cross check a lot of stuff with the eng translations cause I'm reading my italian volumes but wow this really is a "doubt everything you read" type of experience huh

gonna straight up start my dgm reread with pen and paper in hand to take notes wish me luck

#allen: *says anything at all* / me: and how much of THAT is actually the truth ??#crazy #anyway the things that piqued my intetest are less about allen and more about the earl tho #like he says he's making the akuma to help everybody i REALLY want to know what he's trying to do #given that now we know we can't trust the innocence and the noah aren't actually that bad yk #also heb gives the prophecy to allen and she's like “your innocence will create a destroyer of time”#if you look at that through the lens of the “p!lavi is allens innocence” theory that's kind of an interesting wording #ALSO very interested in what was written in the cube #about how apparently the innocence won the prev war against the earl but there was still a flooding #tbf this has always interested me tho bc if you won why did you still kill everyone #and why did they earl have the arc and why was the earl called noah and not #like #someone who was actually on gods side but for the longest time i thought it was just #japanese people playing with christianity as they do but now I feel like hoshino knows exactly what she's doing #like the earl hates god and god flooded the earth and the earl has an ark and yk maybe god never meant for noah to be saved in this story #is what I'm thinking #they keep on saying the earl will bring the end of the world but what if the first to end the world wasn't the earl at all is what Im saying #can't trust the innocence after all and it feeds off tragedy and what's more tragic than the end of the world right #also first chapter the priest saying god never abandons those with faith and the girl dying the moment she says she has faith #THAT'S the whole manga in two panels no two ways about that l m a o oh hoshino your mind
