... in which i examine my self-ships and try to determine if i have a type - while i use self-shipping to explore different areas of myself, let's see what the boys have in common (or not) with each other and with my irl type, perhaps!

✨ meet the cast

SO! a lot of updates since i last posted anything self-shippy here... let's just take you through who i'm including! i'll be listing my main self-ships below per series, with any secondary ships in brackets. these are sometimes within the same au / universe i imagine (like the occasional kuroo / atsumu love triangle i brew up) whereas others are different (osamu would be his own, not in the same one as atsumu). i'll explain those at a different time.

haikyuu: miya atsumu (kuroo testurou, miya osamu)

diamond no ace: miyuki kazuya (takigawa chris yuu)

attack on titan: jean kirstein

blue lock: yukimiya kenyuu

✨ mbti & personality

mbti: this one is so funny to me bc irl i don't think i could have an extrovert bf. i'd bring up one of those mbti compatibility wheels with my own, but in short, they say that ENFP with any sensor type isn't great, any intuitive type is good, with INFJ and INTJ being considered the top matches (which i can see with law). i won't get into functional stacks and deep analysis for now, but i can see these relationships being pretty combative with the exceptions of yukki and law. i don't normally get along w too many estj irl, so it fits w enemies to lovers i guess. i do have quite a few estp friends and we vibe well but not much deeper. entj is always a wild card for me... the reason i used to not self-ship w kazuya is bc chris is an infj who i thought fit w me more, but i always felt myself gradually coming back to kazuya (refer to my username LOLL) so i'm like... ok it's a damn self-ship just do it haha

enneagram: ok so i haven't delved too deep into enneagram & compatibility, so these i've pulled from pdb (which i know is controversial at times lmao but the best source i had). i can see kazuya and tsumu being the same time as i think having that type would really work for a pro athlete. laughing at jean's epithet of "the buddy" as well. it's interesting to me that yukki and i have the same enneagram but that i don't really have anyone too close - a lot of seeming opposites here but again, not too into enneagram (yet)

astrology: ... i don't do astrology stuff whatsoever LOL so if someone could tell me anything that you see from this chart that'd be great :') i know people use like... detailed ones but this is all i know, so enjoy! i'm a pisces while jean is an aries (april 7), yukki is a taurus (april 28) tsumu & law are libras (oct 5 & 6!), and kazuya is a scorpio (nov 17) - funny enough, same bday as former ship kuroo!

✨ appearance & features

facial appearance: not too much to gather from here besides the fact that none of my self-ships have blond hair or alternative hair colours for some reason (unless tsumu counts, which he does since his blond is so signature lol). other characters that i like do, though - just not my self-ships apparently! dark-haired boys are a weakness, i suppose.

height & build: i like taller men, sue me hahahaha (to be fair i think a lot of anime / manga just make their guys tall so it is what it is). i do think the guys here tend to be mostly what is described to be "lanky" in build (or maybe just law and jean tbh) and keep in mind kazuya and yukki's heights are before any timeskips here soooo canonically i feel like they'd grow even taller lmao since ofc i age em all up.

✨ observations

honestly? not much to gather here except for personality. irl (for long-term relationships at least) i almost exclusively go for introverts. whereas in fic i really love cocky men that i'm at odds with (typical enemies to lovers fan ig). but i like it that way - it lets me imagine that type of relationship because in practice, it's not a pleasant experience for me lmao. like, it's fun to tease but deep down, i crave comfort and security which is what i have in my relationship rn. 🩷 regardless, love all my f/os and self-shipping makes me happy, so there !!

in the future, i'm looking to do this but on a ship level - so what dynamics each self-ship f/o would have with me, the type of au they're in, how i'd imagine things like their love language and such... let's see if i ever get around to that.

Little Note: I'll go ahead and talk on Digimon College!Au for DanyJay!

1. Who cooks the most? 🍲

Dany definitely cooks a fair amount in both relationships! I feel like she may have more time in BSD, so she definitely makes a lot of dishes for her and Atsushi! Atsushi doesn't like her doing all the work even if he is tired, she has to tie him to the table to keep him from helping sometimes keke.

Granted, there are moments where she is the one that is tired and sleepy from the day that Atsushi takes over for her.

I feel like a majority of the time, they are always helping each other out in the kitchen! He definitely loves her so much more when she makes him some tasty Chazuki~ UwU he craves it every other week now. 🍲

In Digimon College!AU, I feel like both Dany and Jay have a fair share of cooking experience. Considering they both live in different floors/rooms at their apartments, they both had to make their own cooking for a while before they met. Jason especially, as he was feeding his sister too, and occasionally making food for Lidia and Tom, who also shared the 4x4 apartment. 🥘🍔

Dany being on her own for the first time, has made decent food for herself, and Darkwolfmon, later on! But admittedly does eat rather poorly as the semesters go on a head 😅 (ie. literally me).

I think once a budding friendship is made between DanyJay, Jay is definitely makes the food for Dany, especially considering she is very busy with her uni. architecture classes, she barely has time to eat food ;;;w;;; WHEN SHE KNOWS SHE SHULD BE EATING!!

Often times, when Dany is making the food, it is often a distraction and procrastination from her projects ;;w;; Jason comprehends this and helps her out to ease her building stress and even stays with her after so she doesn't feel alone, even with Darkwolfmon at her side. That's love my friend uwu, but this is also prior to the Digital World arc so... they just oblivious friends ;;w;; not to say this is not how their relationship wouldn't be lol.

12. Any pet names? 🐯🐺

Danielle's nicknames for Atsushi are: Atsu-kun, Mi Tigre (My Tiger), Sushi, My Dear, Love, My Moon.

Atsushi's nicknames for Danielle are: Darling, Dany, Love, Mi Estrella, Mika-chan, Kitten.

For DanyJay:

Danielle's nicknames for Jason: Sparky, My Gentle Storm, My Dearest Jay, Mi lluvia (My Rain)

Jason's nicknames for Danielle: Darling, My Moon, My Love, My Always and Forever, Nightlight

20. Who said I love you first? 💕

Maybe I am cheesy and hopelessly longing for love and affection that I have long decreed my f/o's being the ones to say "I love you" first ;;;w;;; and in that contrasting fashion, I also realized how terrified I am of saying "I love you" first to someone out of that scary fear of being rejected ;;w;; but my f/o's, my dearest Atsushi and my dearest Jason, they love me so much and reassure me that I don't have to say it back when they say it first 🥺🥺🤍🤍

Essentially, Atsushi and Jason are the first to say "I love you" to Dany <3 the amount of surprise and almost question I beg to them that they do makes me cry ;;;w;;; and, of course, am quick to jump and reassure them that the feeling is mutual, but the words just can't come out right then and there. Actions have always been something better of me to do, so I leap in for a sweet and soft kiss that I hope is enough to show that I love them so much. and I say it over and over that I do return their feelings, that it feels like flying, a weightless and light feeling. 🤍

Ah and the smile and silly look on their faces, that is enough for mi tigre and gentle storm ;;w;; for now. They deserve all the love and affection neither got so much of in their past and I want to be the one to love them and be with them through thick and thin. Through always and forever <3

Nevertheless, when Dany does say, "Te amo, te amo con todo mi corazon y mi vida," Atsushi and Jason know how true and real it is! 💕💕🤍🤍
