the thing is. i was always secretly a little worried abt getting a cat bc everyone swore they were incapable of love/showed it only in their own emotionally distant ways. and i am a sensitive soul who constantly forgets my own family likes me (allegedly). so you can see the problem. BUT THE THING IS: i just like hanging out with people! that’s how i show my love! just to be in the same room & maybe even in the same space. what fun to parallel play! what devotion! so actually the fact that my cat likes to just sit around next to me and stare at my face and then also sleep on my lap 80% of the time is literal bliss. your honor he loves me in just the way i need
