#if they're super speedy y'know

Personally i'd just like if there was equal ways on the pvp and pve sides to get the same things and give them similar difficulty 'weights' but thats probably impossible because difficulty is highly dependant on the player
Like its pretty crap that folks who want to play for pve have to go to pvp areas for gift of battle
But it equally sucks people who want to play just for pvp areas now have the soul draining experience of map comp
(Of course you dont need legendaries but it'd be nice if you could choose gift of battle OR map comp and not need both) I think if there was a choice i'd be more likely to flip flop between doing both rather then groan about always having to do both lol
#thoughts from a raid sever i'm in since i'm pretty sure this'll resonate with at least a handful of people#i would prefer the few week long grind of map comp [i don't get many hours to play GW anymore] to needing to go try hard through WvW#the solution in my head is to potentially make it so that only one GoB and one GoM can be given every week so people actually rotate#if they're super speedy y'know#but man it sucks for people who just want to play the game for one game mode they enjoy to have to do the one they hate#no one NEEDS legendaries obviously but gift of battle could have just as easily been tied to fractals for PvE folks#like gift of mastery could have been an extra long reward track in WvW

The G-forces didn’t mess with your head, did they?
"I wasn't going too fast, I think," Jackie says slowly. "And this has never happened before on the rare occasion I took someone with me. Or with myself, ever."
"Yeah, well...you're th' super-speedy-boy, maybe you're immune." Chase's words slur together a bit.
"No, I think it's something else." Jackie walks around Chase so they're standing behind him. They happen to glance down, and their eyes widen. "Oh my god."
"Omigod what?" Chase starts to turn around, but Jackie stops him with a hand. They bend over and grab something. A small dart. It had stuck in the side of Chase's lower leg, near his ankle. Chase flinches a bit as it's removed.
"They hit you," Jackie says quietly.
"Oh. Well that would've sucked 'f we hadn' got away." Chase is swaying again. "Ha, it's funny. I didn' even feel anything."
"That's normal, I guess, there was a lot of adrenaline." But still, Jackie frowns. "Why'd it take so long to take effect? It's been a couple minutes. Something like this should start to affect you almost immediately. And it did, when...when you got caught." They say that last part quietly.
"Y'know, I think righ' now we should be thinkin' about the fact that it's happenin' and not why not," Chase mumbles.
