#if my taste in music or literature is trashy well...I'm not here to defend it. I'm not claiming to be refined.

2. Do you drink tea or coffee? How do you take it?
Yes! Mainly coffee but I can appreciate a good tea and sometimes take it just as a treat. Coffee I usually take black, which is part of why I'm so picky about it - an acidic or burnt brew is impossible to ignore when you don't have a creamer to mellow it. If my stomach's unwell or I'm stuck with a REALLY bad coffee, I'll add a splay of soymilk to mellow it out. Generally I prepare it in a french press, but I have a keurig I lucked out on getting for days when I don't even have the energy to boil water. I have an espresso machine too, but there's very little counter space in my apartment, so since I used it the least, it's currently tucked away. My dream home has a proper coffee bar space. When I'm getting a coffee From Somewhere instead of at home, I like to enjoy a little fanciness - which also hides a bad brew - and get a mocha or latte. I've found bad brews in cappuccino to be similarly impossible to ignore. For these I prefer soy, but if it's not an option, I'll take the next best nondairy choice. Most teas I'll have straight, but I add a dash of soymilk and honey to masala chai and earl grey and just soymilk to an English breakfast or Irish breakfast.
3. What was the last song you listened to?
"Marble House" by The Knife
8. What’s your favorite band/artist?
Spotify thinks it's Garbage, which I do listen to, but they're not an actual top 5 for me yknow? I keep coming back to Johnny Hollow though - they have a very good haunting sound.
It should come as no surprise that I'm also big on Evanescence, too.
27. What’s your favorite book? Or just one you’ve read a few times?
I used to have a stock answer for this that was I book I read and re-read in high school called The Blooding by Patricia Windsor. I'd have to re-read it again sometime, and it's definitely a VERY different read as an adult vs as an isolated teen, but it was definitely interesting. There are definitely a fair amount of trigger warnings I'd have to give anyone who wanted to read it, too - and probably more than I can remember.
As for my favorite book now, I'm not sure, as I haven't actually had a lot of time/energy to read and my memory is incredibly shot. Some fantasy books I enjoyed reading a while ago were Witchmark by C. L. Polk and Vicious by V. E. Schwab. I wish I could remember the nonfiction book on wetlands that I read over the winter because it made me ache in a good way.
Oh! And I'm a perpetual Animorphs fan, but I don't think I need to go into detail about THAT lol
