can you talk to me about Aki? I don't know if you've already told me about him already but I am not familiar with him

first 2 pics: he's on bokuaka level.. nobody play w me. i'm gonna try to not ramble..

aki's motivation is revenge/avenging his family killed by the gun devil when he was a kid.. he blames himself for his brother's death and his survivor's guilt propels him

he's tasked with taking care of denji and power, and while they don't get along at first, they grow closer and they're referred to as the hayakawa (found) family :'(

aki's motivation slowly shifts because with them, he has a family and a reason to live again 🙁

he can be very serious and blunt, but he cares about people a lot... he cries over those that die, and never fully closed himself off from those feelings, even though his job means so many deaths..

self-sacrificing... says he'll do anything if it means denji and power get to survive and be happy... he even does his best to save angel devil despite hating devils + his decreased life span decreasing more because of it...

as for characterization and my writing wise he's kinda like akaashi...? sorry i'm predictable ☹️ my headcanons from 2 yrs ago ... aki to me is kinda like,, if akaashi were more put together... the one popular fanon version of akaashi (/neutral /not mad, just a fan of akaashi who's more of a mess)

takes care of you and is softer/more gentle when it comes to you, but he'll still tease you and give his honest opinion when needed.. a dynamic where i'd be silly and he'd inevitably go along with it. he'd worry if you'd be happier with someone else, if he'll get to come home to you etc, what'll happen after he dies (at some point in the manga/anime, he only has 2 years left to live o(-(...)

aki / the hayakawa family's story is about love and family,, saving each other from loneliness,, resilience,, how taking care of somebody teaches them to care for others,, etc etc... Not that I care or Anything.
