okay wanda i had the world's busiest weekend so i was just staring at this ask for like a few days but YESSSS!

i'm always so happy when anything happens to reinforce jimmy's status as a listener/listener-aligned xD so many people forget my boy. Also, not to be someone who keeps bringing things back to my own fanfics, but it really reminded me of my Listener!Jimmy fic from last year where the Listeners spoke in Jimmy's head the entire time. Like hmm, maybe that's just something they can do,

Also, I like that Grian couldn't see Jimmy. Remember he was confused in the beginning that Jimmy could see him despite not appearing on the tab list? Spectators show up on the tab list normally. Jimmy didn't appear on the list and Grian was like, "I don't think you can see me" until Jimmy started saying what he was doing. Jimmy was logged on in spectator mode, but he was vanished which removed him from the list. Which of course is how the task had to be done, or else anyone on the server could've hit tab and seen that Jimmy was online for some reason. But I also think that's just. very interesting, within the world of the story. Grian's a Watcher but he couldn't see the Listener.

That's fun to me. Do their powers sort of conflict/cancel out? Can their powers hide them from view? Idk but it's fascinating to think about. Also, totally right with the Listener who has to Watch and the Watcher who has to Listen. I'm fond of thinking of Watchers and Listeners as very very similar, and I feel like this just sort of reinforced the idea that they're sides of the same coin or something.

Also it's fun that in-universe calling someone on discord is considered "using ethereal means to set up communication" LOL. jimmy's using magic to talk to grian, confirmed

I’ve been seeing a ton of people share the teams they want for the life series, so I figured I’d share mine!! (Sorry if any of this seems ooc for these guys, I’ve just been thinking,,,,)

Failboy Swagger: Essentially Skizz and Ren being theater kids in the corner while everyone else dies 😭 honestly I made this team because I want scar/skizz/ren to team with Jimmy SO BAD and then added mumbo when I realized the possibilities. This team will either go all the way or all be dead in the 7th session there are NO in betweens

Washing Machine: team name is because of the “etho is washed up” joke & because Pearl/Scott/Joel are three of the best life series players. Started with Scott and Joel because I thought it would be HILARIOUS, added Pearl because she felt like a great fit, and then added etho because it seemed so silly to me (also joel needs a reason to join this team imo and etho feels like a very good reason)! This team is getting to the final 10 and then Scott sacrifices himself to indirectly give Joel the win (PLEASEEE THAT WOULD BE SO GOOODDD)

Bisexuals tm: this is a team I snatched from someone else here because I loved it so much!! Putting these three together would be incredible, they would slay SO hard!!! Also their base would be the most stunning thing on the server, and everyone would probably be vying for an alliance with them bcz they’d have their shit together more than any other team on the server!! They’d make it really far (especially gem!) but not quite all the way I fear

WATCHER LORE PLEASEEE: I had originally put these three together cause I thought they’d have a very fun vibe and then immediately got hit with the Lore (PLEASEPLWASEPLEASEPLWAE) The amount of CHAOS this trio would cause is astronomical. No one knows the truth. The gaslighting is EVERYWHERE! They’d probably spend most of their time messing with Washing Machine and oh they won’t survive to try and break up those teams (maybe failing, maybe not! Who knows!) All the lies and gaslighting would ultimately get them killed tho

Oh they won’t survive: picture this: Bdubs and Tango constantly trying to kill each other while Impulse tries to keep the peace! Impulse probably saw the two fighting when they realized that the teams were solidified and go “oh god I can’t let them kill each other” true to their name they DONT survive (except for Impulse; he makes it to final 5 out of pure spite) and Bdubs’ final death is probably a backstab from Tango as revenge from Last Life (he goes and joins Failboy swagger right after bcz Impulse refuses to stay teamed after the betrayal kill) 

(Personally I’m expecting either Jimmy, Lizzie, or Mumbo dying first this time around! ANYWAYS IM SO EXCITED RAGHHH)
