Honestly, when it comes to fandom I'm a real 'don't shit where you eat' kind of person.

Make fun of 'bad' fanfics and keep dropping unwarranted criticism until making fanworks isn't fun for anyone anymore? Well, better hope you enjoy whatever official slop comes out. Because if it starts sanitizing itself to make money, oops, that's all you get forever.

#I've come to appreciate the purity of amateur hour fics #I'll always take it over focus-tested pumped-out-for-the-masses garbage #When official stuff is good that's great #but oh man when it starts to suck?#Then you're just stuck with that unless you have a healthy fandom.#And I dont think i need to tell you - it WILL suck eventually #if it doesn't begin to suck then it either doesnt have shareholders to worry about #or it aint making money and it's as good as canceled #nuture your fandom and welcome newcomers and let fics suck!
