My friend's cat is unexpectedly staying with me due to the cat boarding situation falling through while he goes on vacation - I'm supposed to drop the cat off at the boarding place tomorrow.
But like... What if I don't 👀
He's a sweet little goober of a cat, only thing that's stopping me from just saying fuck it and having the cat stay with me for the couple weeks is the Bastard Boy. I'll think about it while I'm at work tomorrow, the logistics of it (mostly around food, BB has a special old man diet) and how fair it will be to my Bastard

As a kid I was always kinda bummed that there wasn’t a lot of Zim merch for girls. I wanted a Dib “apathetic face” shirt for a long time and when they finally made one it was only a men's/unisex so I had to alter it to fit me right.
Dib and Gaz’s redesigns are objectively better so if they haven’t made any already they should make a Dib ghost shirt and a Gaz pixel bunny shirt.
Zim has been a staple of Hot Topic for how long and yet there’s never been any Her Universe collection to my knowledge. The show’s aesthetic already caters to the kinds of people whose fashion sense perfectly slots with HT’s clientele, but all they put out is GIR slogan tees. Please, give me some actual Zim inspired fashion.
I don’t know if anyone ever actually did make these, but it seems like a no-brainer to do backpacks like Zim’s PAK or a Swollen Eyeball briefcase/laptop case or even just decals. Another thing that seems like a no-brainer would be Irken antenna headbands. IDK if there are already GIR’s dog-ear headbands.
I saw a GIR-inspired eyeshadow palette that was tempting, but they didn’t list the ingredients and I’m allergic to carmine. I would love it if there were more eyeshadow palettes or a nail polish collection inspired by other elements of the show. Like, Zim's house in particular has a pretty sick teal, pink, and purple color scheme I'd wear.
I also feel like with the amount of emphasis the show puts on snack food it’s a missed opportunity to not have like, candy or cereal or macaroni shaped like Zim characters or something. Or food accessories like lunchboxes or thermoses or popcorn buckets.
And of course we can't forget that one Zim themed amusement park ride that was discontinued.
youtube
As far as I know the only video games Zim's been in are crossover games with a bunch of other Nicktoons. No solo games, aside from that one flash game based on Nanozim that I used to play on Nick.com. Again, seems like a missed opportunity given how much Zim references video games. It certainly has elements that could lend themselves well to an action game with lots of space battles and stuff. But since Zim takes so much inspiration from horror I think it'd be interesting to do something in the vein of like Alien Isolation or Slender, but funny.
If you had completely free rein over it, what Zim merch would you make? (Hot topic has started bringing scene stuff back and my head is so very full)

BRO, THE ONE THING IN THE WORLD I WISH I HAD WAS A ZIM PLUSH THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS
Tumblr media
AND NOT THIS!!!!
Tumblr media
GOD THEY DIDN'T EVEN POSE HIM!!! SJKHFJKSDFK
also since most apparel designs look like someone said ok put gir and a fuckin uhhhh taco next to him and put text that says tAcOs!!!! ok great print it--
i REALLY wish there was more merch of different side characters like tak (and way more gaz frankly) as well as direct references to moments and gags from the show example: death bee merch

Kids - Rip Hunter x Male!OC
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fandom: Legends Of Tomorrow (2016-Present)
Pairing: Vinoja (OC) x Rip Hunter
Word Count: 1362
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Here’s more because the friend I made this for had a bad day and I wanted to help.
Dedicated To: @peccetis
Vinoja sat in a small room on the Waverider, crouched by a chair he had full opportunity so sit on. But, he chose to sit on the floor in front of the chair, leaning back on it. He held his phone in his hands, replaying a voicemail of his over and over.
"Hi, daddy," Jonathan, Vinoja's youngest, had greeted, his dog (Malt) barking afterwards.
"We miss you a lot!" Jane, Vinoja's second-youngest, chimed in.
"But we know you're busy with your friends and your boyfriend, saving the world 'n' all" he could see the warm smile on Sharon’s face as she said that. “And we love you for that, dad."
"We-We're waiting for you with Uncle Hayward back, uh, back home, dad" Marley stuttered, Sloane's giggle just about heard over it. "We- We hope you're safe right now."
"Get home soon, pops, we miss you" Keith finished. "What Marley said was stupid as fuck; you're an Archangel, dad, you have all your powers on you to keep you 'n' your friends safe...we really do love you, though. Time travel faster, dammit."
"We love you!" "we love you" Jane's and Jonathan's voices was heard last, before the voicemail repeated itself.
Vinoja stared off into space as he used his thumb to replay the voicemail, green eyes dull of any emotion. He can only imagine Jane running around to gather her siblings and their dog to use either Sharon’s, Marley’s, or Keith's phone to send their far-away dad a message. Vinoja let his eyes fall closed, rubbing the bridge of his nose as the sound of Malt barking felt like music to his ears.
He misses the feel of his dog's fur underneath his fingertips, JJ's arms around his leg as Jane tugs his sleeve to gain his attention. Vinoja misses the feel of Sharon’s and Keith's curly hair. He also misses combing through Marley’s hair, it's just as soft as his.
"Time travel faster, dammit," Keith repeated, pulling Vinoja out of his celestial head.
A small smile followed after when JJ and Jane repeated their "I love you"s, the Archangel gulping thickly.
"You okay, Wings?"
Vinoja snapped his head in the direction of the door to the room he was in.
Leonard stood in the doorway, leaning against it with his arms crossed. "I'm hearing a kids voice say 'daddy', and I don't like it. Are you okay, or do I need to tell the others you're watching some weeeeird shit?"
Vinoja shook his head, sitting up properly. "I'm listening to this voicemail my kids sent me," he blankly replied, putting his phone down to fix his hair.
Leonard paused for a moment, thinking. "Y'miss them, huh?"
"Yea," Vinoja nodded eagerly. "They're already left alone so often when I do my concerts and tours, now they gotta go fuck-knows-how-long in their time while I'm here travelling through time to stop some smooth-brainer.”
Leonard laughed, looking down to try and conceal his grin. It wasn't whole-hearted, but it was enough of a laugh to make Vinoja proud to know that Leonard finds him funny. "Good one, man. Does your loverboy know you miss your little monsters?"
Vinoja gulped, shaking his head. He slowly got up, dusting off his flashy suit. "No…” Vinoja turned off his phone, putting it in his pocket. “It wouldn't be fair to him. Me complaining about how I miss my very-much-alive kids while he's doing all this to make sure his own kid doesn't die. It'd seem like I'm showing off in a way. I miss my kids who are currently alive, he misses his kid who's dead because this Megamind-lookin' guy cant keep it in his pants for Kendra.”
Leonard scoffed, shaking his head. "If I'd assume you know anything, it's that people shouldn't keep things all bottled up like that.”
"Wow, thanks for the lecture," Vinoja playfully rolled his eyes. “And I know, I know that, obviously. Why do you think I make songs? I mean, sure, it's fun-" Vinoja fell back onto the chair, sitting on it properly, "but sometimes it's the only healthy way to let stuff out.”
Leonard pushed himself off the wall. “Alright. I’ll leave you alone now, but you know where to find me. If you caaaan, tell Keith I said hello. I know I'm his favourite.”
Vinoja nodded, watching Leonard turn around and leave. He sighed softly, pulling his phone back out. Vinoja tapped to listen to a different voicemail.
"Hi, Pops. Keith here. I gotta say, it's kinda hard watchin' the others without ya. Uncle Hayward is a great help, so is Uncle Jack when he swings by," Keith started off, masking how much he truly missed his dad.
"Malt misses you, too," Sharon pipes up. “And Uncle Hayward and Uncle Jack. We can't wait 'til you come home again, from saving the world with your boyfriend.”
"Uh, Uncle Hayward's t-teaching me how to, uh, how to do karate. I don't think my lungs can keep up, though," Marley jokes, forcing out a chuckle.
"Nerd.” Keith insulted
"Pepperoni-face." Marley shot back.
Vinoaj chuckled when he heard Marley's familiar "ow!", knowing Keith most likely shoved him. This voicemail was from about a week ago, the first one was more recent.
"We miss you, dad. A lot." Keith confessed.
"We love you a lot, too. But that's a given…" Sharon reminded.
"We love you, dad. Get- Get back soon!" River would end it, and the voicemail started over again.
"I love you too, kids," Vinoja whispered softly, completely vulnerable. He groaned, going back to the first one so he could hear his whole family. Vinoja leaned his head back to stare at the ceiling, eyes closing again so that his whole world, in this moment, was just the voicemail.
On its third replay, some older voice brought this Archangel back down to earth. Again.
"Am I interrupting something?"
Vinoja's green eyes latched open, as he turned his head to the doorway once more. "Oh...Rip,” he nodded in greeting, turning off his phone at the speed of light.
"I'm sorry, you seemed to be in the middle of something- Leonard came and went quite quickly,” Rip pointed out, walking into the room slowly.
"Oh, uhm- uh, it's nothing, really," Vinoja shook his head, tucking his phone into his pocket.
"Last I checked, I walked in on you listening to some group of familiar children on repeat. Everything alright, dear?" Rip's voice dropped an octave; now it was softer, more caring.
Vinoja cleared his throat, glancing at his empty hands. “It was old voicemails from my kids. That- That I was listening to.”
"I would've assumed so,” Rip nodded for Vinoja to go on. “You miss them, I'm also assuming?"
"No offence, but yea, a lot. I enjoy spending time with you, baby, and the crew, but doesn't mean I can't miss my own kids," Vinoja pointed out. He shrugged.
"Why didn't you voice your frustrations with me?" Rip questioned.
Vinoja mumbled incoherently. “I thought, that, y'know, it wouldn't be fair. Me, complaining about missing my kids, who're very much alive. To you, Rip, when you miss your kid, and he's...y'know...I didn't it to seem like I was showing off.”
"Aw, Vinoja…" Rip gently cupped his boyfriend's cheeks, leaning in to sweetly kiss him. “That's sweet of you for considering it, but I hope you know I really don't mind.”
Vinoja made eye contact with him. “Really-? I dunno, it just didn't seem fucking fair.”
"Vinoja, the whole reason we're doing this is for a better future. Both for your kids, and mine. I need full morale for us to get through with this, so...next time you ever feel like this, come to me, okay?" Rip asked, eyebrows raising. “I care about you.”
Vinoja glanced around the floor, thinking of what to say. “Okay," he agreed, leaning into Rip's touch. “I just- I care about you, too, y'know?"
"I know you do, and I adore you for it. Now c'mon, we're about to travel again and I need you in one of the seats.”
Vinoja nodded, Rip's hand in his as they walked out.
