So the day Satoru chose to fight Sukuna had to be specific. Could have easily said "let's fight a month from now" or whatever. But no. Dude said "December 24th".
The same date Suguru also chose to have a fight and then dies on.
Probably looked at Kenjaku, thought of Suguru and went "Yep, I want to fight on the death date of my boyfriend".
