Just because I saw you mentioning Hilda Furacão again: thank you so much for putting this show on my dash, I've been watching it on and off for a few weeks now (I'd binge it but uni ugh) and I'm really enjoying it haha I also introduced my friends to it by watching a few episodes together and they also like it (one of them bc they're Catholic and the other bc they like the communism aspect, there's really something here for everyone! Personally I just really like telenovelas and Brazilian history lol)
So thanks again 🩷🩷
hey hey heyyyyyyyy I'm ridiculously happy to hear this!! :D I think if anyone is drawn to 1) Brazilian history, 2) the Catholic guilt, and 3) just some delightful historical drama, you should definitely watch Hilda Furacão (Hilda Hurricane in English) 🥰 I had the time of my life watching it, and yes, I also did learn a whole lot about all of the above! sure it's a little slow-paced in parts and (minor spoiler alert!!) towards the end it focused more on the plotlines I was maybe less interested in (spoilers end), but overall I reaaaaally enjoyed it and was hooked from the first episode on 💘
and yesss just like you said, it has something for everyone! I know the word 'telenovela' has certain connotations (and not necessarily only positive ones), but Hilda Furacão is waaaaaay more than just some silly love drama, you'll be in for a surprise 👀
thanks for the ask & have an amazing week & feel free to pop in my askbox again to share your thoughts about the show 🤗
