One thing that I got out of the robodebt royal commission is this weird feeling of unease after hearing about all these people who killed themselves over objectively far less obscene debts than my own, and just realising that actually my own suicide ideation isn't really that unreasonable given the circumstances, those circumstances being most other robodebt victims and even potential victims being vindicated and left alone, while my robodebt has been twisted through a million extremely specific loopholes so that the government can continue to justify threatening me for money.

#my debt was one of the last raised under the scheme #literally it was raised a month before the government caved under legal pressure #all of the 'prospective' debts flagged after this point were cancelled #if I'd just waited literally one month before responding to the government's threatening letters #then my debt would have been voided #but such is life I guess #honestly I feel like I just remain alive out of spite at this point #like how much more bullshit can this world throw at me lmao #if I do end up killing myself tho I'm gonna write an open suicide letter addressed to the Australian government #so they can't keep claiming their scheme hasn't killed anyone #least of all not the 2000 confirmed to have suicided after receiving a robodebt #auspol #robodebt
