Alrighty, so I was tagged forever ago by @a-for-alternative, @angletic, and @senti-renai for
{11} Questions
1. Answer the questions given to you by the tagger
2. Write 11 questions of your own.
3. Tag 11 people
So since this’ll be long, I’ll put my answers under a cut~
From a-for-alternative
1&2. Do you think you’re a ‘good’ person? Do you think the people around you are 'good’ people?
Yes and Yes. The people around me make mistakes and I certainly have my flaws, but I think in general, we’re all trying our best to be good people and constantly striving to be better.
3&4. Imagine the person you’re most reliant on or most love. Now imagine they are an imposter - they killed and took the identity of person you believed them to be years ago. Do you confront them? Would you want to find the body?
I- okay um, so the person I imagined is my mom, and.. I would confront them and see why they did what they did and how long they’ve been pretending, because if I’ve known them all my life then, all the memories I’ve associated with that identity are still true, if that makes sense. I wouldn’t want to see the body, and if they continue as they had been before, then I guess I’d continue as well.
5&6. If you lost all of your possessions, what would be the first thing you would replace? What thing would you miss most?
I’d immediately replace my phone because I need that to get anywhere as I’m completely dependent on rides from other people. I’d most miss any artwork or wips that I never posted because those took a lot of effort.
7&8. What is one thing you would never wish on your worse enemy? Have you ever experienced it?
Depression and yeps :finger_gun:
9&10. Choose 1 superpower. Why did you choose that?
Teleportation bc I’m lazy and scared of driving.
11. What is one piece of advice you could give that you’ve learned about life?
Do what you want and do it confidently. If you have a tall stride and block out the noise, it won’t matter what other people are thinking and you’ll inspire confidence in others to do what they were scared to do too.
From angletic
1. What’s the funniest/dumbest thing you’ve ever done?
I fell backwards onto the floor in my desk chair in my room and just decided to sleep there.
2. What’s your opinions on “cringey” fandoms? (ie. FNaF, undertale, cuphead, MLP, hetalia, etc.)
I haven’t interacted with them tbh, but I think there’s two types of things people mean when they call something cringey. a) Something childish and underdeveloped, something you’d look back on like I can’t believe I was so embarassing, i.e. rainbow mary sue wolf ocs, welcome to my twisted mind, etc or b) meanspirited exclusionist or generally hateful/ignorant comments that physically pain you to read. A) is a sort of cringe that shouldn’t even be cringe just embrace your middle school woes, but B) is harmful and turns people away from otherwise good content.
3. Do you consider yourself to be an optimist or a pessimist?
Optimist~ Pessimism just makes me sad
4. What youtubers/instagram comedians/other social media people are you subscribed to and actively watch?
Thomas Sanders, Dan and Phil, some music ppl like TraciJHines and Lindsey Stirling
5. What are some red flags you watch out for when making friends?
Just the way they treat/talk about other people
6. What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever lost/broken/stolen?
I once took my stepmom’s Dooney&Bourke bag (some fancy name brand) to the movies and left it in the seats when I ran to the bathroom. It had my money and phone in it too. I assumed that they would watch it and got in trouble for it later.
7. If anything, what would you change super mario’s catchphrase to?
‘Pizza go’ no reason really
8. Got any secret/hidden talents you want to share? if so, can you tell what they are?
Secret hidden talents? Um.. I’ve been told I’m good at reading aloud, like I was pulled out of class in first grade to read to visitors considering the school.
9. What jokes/phrases have you seen online that you now incorporate into your daily speech?
I got some writing tics from Mystic Messenger like ^^ and ;; and I say ‘mood’ and ‘me’ a lot in real life.
10. If you could change one (1) thing in the world with the click of a button and have no consequences, what would it be? (you can do anything. want your fav fictional character to exist? there they are. being your fav. solve world hunger? bang. there it is. goth gf? there she is, crying in a bathroom stall)
Give everyone in the world a healthy dose of empathy and communication skills. I think we’d solve a lot more problems that way.
11. What’s a movie/picture/quote etc. that never fails to make you laugh? Post the link!
From senti-renai
1. What’s one of your favourite Death Note headcanons (if any)?
L took the alias Ryuzaki from B who took it from A who also named their cat that. Thanks to aseraphfell. 2. Is there anything that confused you in childhood that you only understood as you got older?
I feel like I still am a child, I’ll figure it out later. 3 & 4. What’s your favourite colour…. and why? (I’m curious)
I don’t have one because have you seen colors, they’re good stuff. When people ask I usually just gravitate towards whatever color fits my mood in the moment. The only color I don’t like is a washed out puke green yellow. 5. Do you see yourself as approachable or are you reserved?
Hm, I think I’m approachable online because I get to talk about my interests and be nerds with you all, but offline I’m just awkward unless I’m specifically making an effort to be friendly *cough* retail *cough* 6 & 7. Are there any dreams you’ve had that have stuck with you/are difficult to forget? If so, what about?
My dreams are so fun! Like when I had to free princesses from crystals cerca Kingdom Hearts style, or pretend play as an unassuming manipulative villain with my friends, or escape from an actual villain who had me kidnapped, or rescue my friends from monsters and avoid murderous snowmen with acid snowballs. I’ll often postpone waking up to finish my dream. 8. What’s your favourite video game?
Go to answer is Kingdom Hearts, though I do tend to play Sims more. 9. Dark, milk, or white chocolate?
Mmm let’s go with dark, though I will gladly take any chocolate. 10. What’s the longest time you’ve been in any fandom for?
Hm, does Disney count because I’ve grown up with that my whole life 11. Favourite fanfic?
Noel. The best. If you haven’t read it, it’s a fandom must. Here you go.
But also this. I don’t even really ship BxL but I enjoyed the case and the exploration of B’s relationship with L and with A and the writing itself. I just remember being blown away by this when I read it, and immediately got a new level of respect for @voldy-in-my-turban.
And while we’re at it, here’s a good BxNaomi one shot I just read recently by @jettiebettie. This fandom has some great writers.
Questions
1. What’s a fic/art idea you wish you could just will into existence without having to write it yourself?
2. Favorite mythological creature?
3. If you could see something that others couldn’t, what would you want to see? (Lifespans, a new color, people’s sexuality, the elemental spirits of the world, dead people, etc)
4. What do you do to calm down?
5. Which character do you wish got more love from the fandom?
6. How do you determine what’s real?
7. You’re a detective on a case and you’ve accidentally gotten really attached to the murderer. What do?
8. What do you need right now?
9. How would you describe your ideal aesthetic?
10. What’s a weird/obscure thing that you enjoy?
11. Are you a protagonist?
And I tag @writer-with-caffeine, @eyecicles, @devilsies, @lawlietislaw, @the-real-death-note-victim, @catfishmaster, @o-zma, @synapsi-s, @american-apple-pie, @welcome-to-my-space, @drowning-in-dn-hell

Another tag game 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
The Rules: answer these ten questions, create ten of you own, then tag ten people.
I was tagged by @merigreenleaf cuz she’s awesome and knows I love these
1. What are your ideal writing conditions? Ie. weather, noise, time of day, etc.
Oddly enough, when I shouldn’t be writing. All my best ideas seem to come to me when I should be occupied with something completely unrelated. Otherwise, when I’m alone and in a quiet space. I usually play Lindsey Stirling while I work
2. Is there anything that prevents you from being able to write?
Moods, I think? Like if I’m all around frustrated I can’t get a single sentence on paper. It sucks
3. Do any of your characters have nicknames?
Olivia: Sushi or Ollie
Remus is usually just Remy or Doc
Will is called William, Willy, Wilbur, and any other variation of his name to tease him
Travis is Tiny T
Otherwise they all have dumb names for each other in their phones. Like, Remus is 'complicated coffee’ cuz of his addiction to dumb Starbucks drinks
4. What mythical creature would you want to own as a pet?
An Enfield. Sure they’re wild and probably really dangerous but if you got one as a baby and raised it you… might be okay?
5. What holidays, if any, do your characters celebrate? (Don’t have to be real world holidays, if you’ve made up your own I’d love to hear about them!)
Most of the holidays in our world still exist but many of them still follow their origins as pagan holidays except like, I dunno, the Jewish ones. I’d go into more detail but I don’t have any more details to go into. The Wolfie's celebrate any and every holiday their schedules will allow
6. Your current read/the last book you read?
My current read is “Simon vs The Homosapien Agenda”. I haven’t gotten very far so I can’t really speak for how good it is yet
7. Are any of your characters living out a dream of yours? If so, who and what?
Um yeah? Olivia is a mermaid, and 90% of my other characters are werewolves which isn’t all sunshine and rainbows but it’s still pretty damn cool
8. If invited to an open themed dress-up party, what would your characters dress as?
The dumbest things ever. Olivia is a sushi roll or a literal fish. Remus would probably be a mad scientist. Travis will absolutely dress in the most dramatic, stereotypical wizard robe he could possibly find.
Tori would be a flapper. 100% this is Canon.
Will would forget about the party and stay home.
9. Are any of your characters religious? (Again, made up religions welcome!)
Dunno about religious but the Wolfie's are very spiritual. I guess their belief in the moon being a goddess would count but 'worship’ isn’t the right word for the relationship so idk
10. Which of your characters would write their own book, and what would it be about?
Gracie would write a sci-fi book. More like a short story.
Tori would write a 'how to lead a pack of weirdo werewolves, for dummies’ instruction manual because she can’t for the life of her figure out why this shit was NEVER WRITTEN DOWN.
I forgot who was tagged in this before so how about @demigodgooglesearches @fanaticfangirl2602 @lynnafred @ageekyreader and that’s all I have

{11} questions
Tagged by @voldy-in-my-turban
Rules: (1) Answer the questions given to you by the tagger (2) Write 11 questions of your own. (3) Tag 11 people.
1. What’s the most cruel thing you’ve ever said/done to someone else?hmm, I cant pinpoint an actual event?? multiple times people say i go “too far” when i dish back the kind of things they say to me, but i dont consider that bad? if i did, it would go against one of my basic principals. I guess the time i really feel guilty for was in 4th grade i’d kick this one kid, jacob in the balls whenever he pissed me off. its okay we’re still friends, but that was pretty dickish of me
2. Do you believe in karma? not in a religious sense, but yeah. if you do something bad somethings else bad is bound to come back and get you.
3. Do you consider yourself to be an independent person? oh yeah big time. i loathe depending on other people for anything, and im entirely self-motivated. my parents aren’t very supportive in their own way so i dont have them to fall back on for help. i kinda have to be independent or else i wont be able to do anything ever haha
4. How do you think the world will end and when? ironically? the world will end by the end of this year damn trump gonna ruin everything, even the quaint little country in canada. unironically? global warming is a big issue and if we continue at this rate, statistics give us a max of 100 years to live due to deadly heat, so id place my bets on that if not a nuclear war between superpowers.
5. What do you do when listening to music and on your own? dude when i listen to music i cant just. sit there. either im not actually listening to the music and daydreaming, or im doing literally anything with my hands (usually drawing bc im an art weeb). its the same the other way. i cant just draw with no background noise.
6. Is there a dark part of your past/present self that you keep hidden from absolutely everyone you know (no need to state what that is)? LMAO YES if i told yall or anyone else about my Hidden Angst™ no one would talk to me. some things are best kept personal, ya dig?
7. How far are you willing to go to see your greatest wish come true? What would you sacrifice? i dont really have a greatest wish, and if i did it would depend on what it is. but for basic outlines, the majority of my wish would have to take a toll on me, and it would just have to minorly inconvenience other people, no matter who they are. if i wanted something that bad id find a way to take the butt end of the stick always.
8. What do you hope your legacy will be and who will it be left to? jesus i just want to be remembered by the world. its one of my biggest goals to do something important enough that my name makes it into a textbook, even for a paragraph. i think this is why im such a tryhard? “lmao i needa legacy let me just fuckinnuuuuuuuhhhh be great at everything. thats a good plan.”
9. Weirdest pet peeve? i have so many obscure weird ones, so ill say 2. when i walk anywhere by feet have to touch the shaded part of the ground an even number of times and the light parts even and the half-shadowed parts even and the weird discoloured parts even. i even slow my walking pace or stop as a whole just so my feet are balanced, and im actively counting my steps. also, when i wash my hands i get super annoyed if i have like a bandaid on one finger/something that cant get wet and when i go to dry them, all my fingers are actively losing water on them except that one dry finger. i have to drip a couple drops of water on it and then dry it or else im uncomfortable the whole day.
10. If you had the chance to talk to somebody (be it a deceased acquaintance, an idol, a long lost friend… anyone really) for an hour, who would it be? iiii uuhhhhh id want to talk to future me!! i wanna know if that bitch is still angsty and hopeless and i have to fix it or if i actually do cool things and i can narcissistically praise myself
11. Nap under the shade of a tree, or dancing in summer rain? hmm... i dont like sleeping on the ground outdoors due to paranoia (i have to be in a branch or a tent or something lmao what a pansy), so id have to go with summer rain. especially a thunder storm? at night? that sounds fucking awesome sign me up
questions and tags under the cut (Idiot Angletic decided itd be a good idea to NOT cut the questions she answered but leave? the tags cut? moron. boo)

50 More interesting questions
Rules: fill this out and tag at least one person you’d like to know more about! Or just fill it out! Or don’t! Answer only some of them! Make up your own questions! “What kind of requirement is that”, you ask? A reasonable one! Who am I to tell you what to do? Anything goes!
(Original questions authored by @cavern-of-bells , thank you!)
Hypothetically tagged by @redpantychan XD
1. What kind of food can’t you stand?: I'm not incredibly picky, buuuut bitter food. Like bitter melon.
2. If you could choose one minor inconvenience to never have to deal with again, what would you pick?: Hiccups.
3. Have you got any useless talents?: I know Roberto Button's birthday (October 23), zodiac (cusp of Libra and Scorpio), and height (5'10") off the top of my head.
4. If you could be really really good at one thing, what would it be?: Putting myself out there more.
5. Name a few people you think are extremely good-looking: UHHHH real people? Chris Evans maybe??? Uhhh idk I don’t follow celebs at all SO Okita Souji is SO PRETTY (his eyesss) and also Hachiro Iba is so pretty. Also Olivia from FE:A, I love her hair?
6. What was your favorite way to pass the time as a kid?: Writing stories, playing games, reading books. ie. all the stuff I still pass the time with now that I'm 25, lol!
7. What is something you’re proud of?: I've gotten back into reading for fun, and I can see an improvement in my writing as a result.
8. What’s one character flaw in people that you just can’t tolerate?: Intentional passive aggressiveness.
9. Do you consider yourself to be more of a leader or a follower?: I'm okay being both, but it really depends on the situation.
10. What kind of student are/were you?: I was a good student in high school, but I never learned how to actually study because I generally found the classes/homework pretty easy. Then I got to college. *explosion noises*
11. Butterfly effect question! Has there ever been a seemingly minor decision you’ve made (at the time) that ended up having a profound influence on your life?: I started making otome parodies and posting them. XD That got me interested in learning about audio equipment/programs/techniques, which led me to apply to an audio internship at a publishing company, which led to a regular salaried position/promotions at the same company.
12. Name your most irrational fear/aversion: I have a list. ;3; Buuuut if I had to name one, uhhh I really hate strong storms. A little lightning and thunder is cool and I enjoy wind and rain, but I tend to freak out if storm watches go out, because my mind instantly goes "NEXT STEP IS A TORNADO WARNING AND THEN EVERYONE'S DOOOOMED." I've gotten better at distracting myself when that happens, but yeah.
13. Are there any fictional characters you find especially relatable?: The characters in Hakuoki. Not because I've ever drunk a vampiric potion or because I've been in a police force or in any conflict beyond a thumb wrestling match. But a major theme in the game is very much about personal beliefs vs. what others tell you, and struggling to adjust to sudden changes in life. I just find that despite the hot otome guys and fantasy elements, it's a very human story in that respect.
14. If you drink, what kind of drunk are you? Alternatively, what sort of person are you at parties?: I can't really drink a lot because of the meds I take (trust me, the “don’t take with alcohol” warnings are on the bottle for a reason), but also because of my small frame I get tipsy SUPER FAST. I get kinda relaxed and giggly when that happens. I'm an introvert, but at parties/events where I'm comfortable and excited to go, I'm usually okay talking to others, dancing, etc.
15. Do you fall in love easily? Or does it usually take a long time for you to trust someone?: With fictional people, I see one CG or screencap and I'm just "I'M GONNA MARRY THEM AND WE'LL HAVE BEAUTIFUL BABIES TOGETHER." But in real life, it takes me a while to open up to people, and I've never had a serious crush or fallen in love yet.
16. Would you rather have one close friend or 100 casual friends?: One close friend. I'd rather have someone I can absolutely rely on even if we have rough patches together and have them know they can expect the same from me, rather than friends I can have fun with but they go AWOL when personal issues come up. I'm not the best at communicating, so it's a work in progress.
17. Do you consider yourself to be more of a slob or a neat-freak?: When it comes to work, I am SUPER METICULOUS. I organize my files and my inbox and I write protocols for everything. But uh, if you plan to come over to hang out, let me know in advance so I can pretend my room is neat all the time, lolol.
18. Describe a place (imaginary or real) that you would find incredibly cozy: I imagine the common rooms at Hogwarts to be safe and cozy and warm for their respective houses. So I guess the Ravenclaw common room, since that's my house. XD
19. Do you have kids? If not, do you want them someday?: No kids yet, lmao. I would like kids of my own someday, but not anytime soon.
20. What was your favorite book as a child? A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'engle. It was the book that made me go "Hey I want to write, too!"
21. Name one thing you just don’t get what all the hype is about: fidget spinners, same as Chia. XD
22. Name one thing that you think is tragically underrated: The Story of Saiunkoku. It’s a great anime, watch iiiiit!
23. If you had to be glued to a person for a month, real or fictional (who you have never met), who would you choose?: Someone who can keep their head and be optimistic, but at the same time know when I need Introvert Time(TM).
24. What’s something you’d like the chance to do someday?: Travel more.
25. Do you typically speak your mind when you have a controversial opinion? Or do generally prefer to not rock the boat?: If I'm with people I trust, maybe. Otherwise, nope.
26. What’s the dumbest fad you’ve been caught up in?: Beanie Babies. My mom once stood in a line to get one for my birthday even though looking back she definitely thought it was the stupidest craze ever, ilu Mom. XD
27. What’s something you thought was cool as a kid/adolescent, but now cringe at yourself for?: I pretended to have a crush on Lance Bass in grade school because I thought I needed a "celebrity crush" to "fit in."
28. What’s a trait you consider to be very admirable?: The ability to admit when you have done something wrong, acknowledging someone else's feelings/POV, and THEN taking actual pains to not repeat it. Basically when you actively consider taking the other person in a relationship (platonic, familial, romantic, etc.) seriously more important than "being right."
29. Is there a particular kind of item people always tend to give you as gifts? (For instance, people always get you things with ducks on them because you like ducks, etc.): My parents give me socks a lot. When I was a kid I was like "why" but now I'm all "YEAAHHHHH SOCKSSSS YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST." Also I get books and notebooks/pens. My college friends used to get me stuff with owl designs.
30. Do you speak multiple languages? Which ones?: English. Trying to learn Japanese on Duolingo. The language of love. Altarian.
31. Would you rather live in the big city or the countryside?: Countryside, no doubt.
32. Has there ever been something you were certain you’d hate, but ended up loving?: I don't recall. I mean, I'm sure there's been lots of things, but nothing I really remember. XD;; Now I try to be more open minded when I try new things.
33. Do you mind being the center of attention, or do you prefer the spotlight to be on someone else?: I can be kinda self-conscious, but at the same time STROKE MY EGO AND TELL ME I'M FABULOUS.
34. Favorite holiday?: Christmas, because my family takes time to spend it together and I have lots of good, cozy memories associated with it.
35. Are you a more go-with-the-flow type of person, or do you need to have things planned meticulously?: My heart says go with the flow, my head says "PLAN OUT EVERYTHING OR ELSE YOU WILL DIE" (thanks anxiety).
36. Is there something you loved so much you wish you could forget it and experience it all over again? (A tv show, book, series–anything.): Yeah, lots of books/games. XD;; But I like to replay/reread favorite series of mine a LOT, so each time I feel like I experience it a new way.
37. What hobbies do you have?: Otome, staring at Roberto, writing fanfic/original stories, staring at Saint-Germain, reading, staring at Okita, playing piano, staring at Xander, singing.
38. If you could have a superpower, but it was only mildly useful, what ability would you want to have?: Oooh, interesting question! The ability to help soothe people or help them feel a little more optimistic. It wouldn't change their life or help their situations directly, but if they're in a bad place then even just brief reprieve from feeling shitty might help their mindset.
39. Something people are always surprised to learn about you: People sometimes have the impression that I'm all sweetness and butterflies at first but then we break out Cards Against Humanity and I rack up a ton of black cards and they go "oh wow it's always the quiet ones."
40. Something that took you way too long to figure out: That nobody "figures everything out" when they "grow up," and it’s okay to go at your own pace.
41. Worst injury you’ve had?: Sprained ankle.
42. Any morbid fascinations?: *looks at angst idea backlist* idk bro, skeletons maybe so spoopy amirite.
43. Describe your sense of humor: Puns and terrible memes.
44. If you had to be born in another era/place, which would you choose?: If we're talking about the past, then I wouldn't choose, namely because I have some health-related issues that would be hell in past eras. If we're talking about place, I've already been born in a different country than the one I was adopted into/currently live in, so I wouldn't choose a different one either because that doesn't really matter to me.
45. Something you are irredeemably bad at: Being patient.
46. Something that sucked but you’re glad you went through: I can’t think of anything negative that I’m glad I went through; but I can be glad I got through it and can look at things more objectively so I can work on moving on.
47. Would you rather have a really godawful ugly tattoo in a place that is only slightly inconvenient to conceal with clothing (upper arm, thigh, etc.), or the coolest, most beautiful tattoo ever in the middle of your face? (Neither tattoo can be removed or concealed with makeup, and the ugly tattoo will deeply offend anyone who sees it.): A cool, beautiful tattoo on my face. If I actually got a tattoo it wouldn't be huge and super-colorful anyway, so it would be really small, probably a little star.
48. Are you more of an optimist or a pessimist?: Pessimist, but I make an effort to be optimistic when I can.
49. What would be the most flattering compliment someone could give you?: Saying they like something I've been actively working on improving, for example my writing or my singing. Those honestly make me SO HAPPY.
50. Something you feel people often misunderstand about you: Just how deeply emotional I can get about games/books. *CLENCHES FIST*
TAGGING: anyone who wants to do this! :D

I have taken a ton of classes over the years. Many of the classes were just to gain extra knowledge in a specific area. The funny thing about me is that I never received an actual degree for anything.
To this day, I still feel that having that piece of paper hanging on a wall somewhere in my life would not make a bit of difference in the amount of knowledge I have accumulated. My father always wanted me to get one; in his eyes, it was a sign of prosperity.
Please do not misunderstand, I agree that in certain fields a degree is preferable: Doctor, Lawyer, Scientist, and any profession that puts someone else’s life in your hands. I want to know that the person that pulls me from a burning building, pulls the knife out of my leg, or protects me from a Road-Rage whack job; has had the proper training and education to handle these types of situations.
When it comes to me and professional learning institutions, we butt heads. My first experience left me feeling that I was taking a bunch of “extra curricular” (E.C.) classes that were required, but to me felt completely useless. I am never going to EVER use physics. I knew it back in my early twenties and by golly, I was right. My closest connection to it would be through the show The Big Bang Theory, which I absolutely love. (FYI, my favorite person is Penny.)
(If you have never seen, check out the Halloween and Christmas – Bath Item Gift episodes.)
I felt that all the extra classes a person is forced to take to get that piece of paper was ridiculous, but I wanted to learn.
This was Hint #1: The thrill of learning new things.
I took a small business class because I wanted to run a small business. Part of the class required Accounting 101 – made perfectly logical sense to me. As that turned out, was when I fell in love with Accounting. I looked further into becoming a C.P.A. (Certified Public Accountant) – but then again, I would have to take all the E.C. classes – grrr. I found that I was overly excited about learning more about Accounting, but not so much in the other gunk.
My next hint came several years later. I had a job that was alright. It allowed me to work in an accounting field – Bookkeeper which kept the thrill going for a while. But I needed more and I was not sure what “more” I was looking for. A friend told me about The Aptitude Test that the local community college provided. The first time I took it, I had to pay ten dollars for the results. It was all hand written back then (The old-fashioned pencil and paper type. Man, I am old – eeek!) and took about four hours to complete.
I hate tests. Every time I take one I panic. The normal grade school through high school tests were alright, but then I took a Speed Reading class which, as it turns out, blew it for real testing. Yes, it taught me how to speed read, but the down side to doing it is missing the important details. Well, I was glad to know that this was not that kind of test. There was no judging, no grades, and no pressure to finish on time. The test is simply to help you to understand what you currently hide in your brain, vs. things you have a passion for but may not know yet.
I received my results in the mail along with an in-depth explanation of how to read and interpret the graph. They also included long lists of the types of jobs related to the different fields on the graph. According to my results, I could have been in:
Customer Service (that was a given due to my waitressing years),
Accounting, or Math Related field (They had me at Accounting.)
Then it actually said that I could have been a Nuclear Physicist – me? I don’t think so Lucy!
The results even listed a Psychiatrist as a possibility. I found this very funny because I had been a bartender several times in my life. I used to make-sport of the fact that I should have been a Shrink after listening to everybody’s problems in the bar. The bummer of this is I have somehow earned The Bartender Face, not by choice, it just happened. People you do not know will just start spilling their problems at you. I have seen others with this face. If you have ever been a Bartender for more than six months, you will get one.
(The face on this guy tells me that he has been dong it for way too long!)
Hint 2: Understanding that I have an Impatient Passion for doing many things.
Then my ultimate favorite thing ever happened…The Age Of Computers (insert dun-dun-daa sound here!). The amount of information a person can get, and store, was amazing. My main thrill was not in the storage, but in the information. One class that I did take, complete, and get a certificate in was Computers 101. This was way back in the early 1980’s. We got to dissect a computer just like you would a frog. Somehow tearing the box and its guts apart was calming for me. The whole thing boiled down to bits of metal and wires.
This was followed up by two more historic moments for me:
Having an employer that paid for all the office related computer classes that I wanted to take – so I did.
Getting to know a Computer Tech who told me: “There is nothing you can do in that computer that I cannot fix.” Best, dumbest, words ever spoken. I made it my life task take him up on that. During the day, I got to take all the “heater” calls. Then, when everyone else got to go home at five, I got to work with the I.T. department. I made him live up to that statement (for a story at another time).
The very first time I got to push buttons and see something happen I was hooked (yep, a button-a-holic also.).
10-Key by touch.
Type 100+ w.p.m.
Obsessed library researcher
Persistent question-asker.
Roll those all into one and you have me with a computer. The best thing the computer age has brought about is learning. There is nothing you can’t find, do, or save in a computer. I have even taken multiple classes through my computer. This thought led me to the final definition for a Learn-A-Holic:
Hint #3: You have several projects going at the same time.
I currently have the following:
Knitting projects
5 working
Crochet projects
7 working
Card Making
Valentines and Happy Birthday (hope to complete 20 of each by month end)
Blogging
3 working blogs, 2 of which I try to post at least once a week.
Surveys for cash
Signed up for 3 different ones with a goal to complete 1 survey on each per day.
Writing
Working on 3 how-to e-books.
Farm/gardens
Day-to-day standard duties (feed, water, clean up, and prep for next season.)
Taking online classes through Udemy
26-hour, slam-dunk class on Character Drawing.
Marketing Strategies (something I am in DIRE need of!!).
Learn how to use Canva (my fav right now).
My mind and my hands must be busy at all times! I even find that when I sleep, my fingers still move about. I know my mind wanders because of my various dreams. This, to me, is the biggest part of a Learn-a-holic.
You never stop.
You do not have to go fast,
There is no set speed or time limit except for the ones you set on yourself.
You may also have several projects going on at the same time, like I do. You maybe lucky enough to only have one big project going on, and all your being is tied up in getting it done. It doesn’t matter how you handle it, you just have to keep learning something new or you think you will die.
This all came about because I received the following email article:
Will Traditional Colleges and Universities Become Obsolete?
I used to love going the traditional route, but for the last eight years or so, it has become faster, easier, and better doing it online. This makes me happy and sad at the same time.
WE NEED TEACHERS! Yes, I am yelling that out because I firmly believe it. I can teach a few things that I know well, but I don’t believe I have the patience to be a full-time, in front of class type of teacher. If it’s one-on-one I do OK. This is what makes the Learn-a-holic in me feel sad. What if shutting down the colleges, turns into no one wanting to be a teacher anymore? How awful our world would be without them? So I give Kudos to all those Teachers in my life – past, present, and future. We Learn-a-holics could not survive without you!
