I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out yet, but something has been bugging me about the homoerotic stabbing scene.

Ed says "Science tells us all the important organs are on the right" and Stede questions this, bringing up the liver...

...but the liver is on the right.

Organs actually on the left side of your torso include the spleen, most of the stomach and pancreas, more than half of the large intestine, and much further up, the bulk of the heart. And of course there's a lung, a kidney, and half the small intestine on each side (plus further down the bladder and bowels are bang in the middle).

I'd be fascinated to know what "important bits" Ed thinks are on the right side of his body (and why Stede is convinced the liver, which Ed clearly doesn't consider important, is on the left)
