Corpo Elegy AU

In this AU, Elegy's parents were never fired from Fukuoka's Arasaka facility upon it being sold, and rather they got moved to the Tokyo HQ.

Since Elegy's birth it was clear that she had no other choice than joining Arasaka in the future. She went to their private school, where she was noticed as a promising netrunning talent - her results were outstanding for her age.

When her parents received the news they thought this was a great opportunity for their child and agreed to send her in for training - little did they know that she would hate their guts for the rest of their lives for that decision.

At first, it was strictly netrunning training in an undisclosed underground facility for years - it was like a prison. She became the best of the best, thinking it would save her from being trapped underground without any windows and no mirrors - only to receive a "honorary trip" to Arasaka's Hokkaido Training Camp.

There, they made her focus on a stealth approach - she became one of the most successful trainees for espionage missions, although it cost her everything.

She spent her whole childhood and teenage years separated from society, trained like a dog - she never formed a friendship (all trainees were kept separate due to an accident that happened recently in one of Arasaka's secret netrunning training facilities), she couldn't indulge in any hobbies - she was left a husk full of hatred towards the world and everyone in it.

When her efforts finally paid off - when she heard she got herself a cozy place for the rest of her life - she didn't feel anything. As she arrived in her new apartment in Night City, the first thing she did was creep awkwardly into the restroom, staring into the mirror like a deer in the headlights.

She hasn't seen how much she changed during these years - she was an adult now. She ran her hand through her buzzed hair and felt uneasy - they were always so rough when shaving it off. It was her first independent decision to let it grow out - and never cut it short again.

She dyes her hair in light colors as opposed to her dark, natural one - it reminded her of her past, especially her parents. As for her full black eyes, she got them to seem more intimidating, but also for advantages of her targets not knowing where she's looking at all times.
