idk if i already said it here but i think level-5 is a monument for character design. their characters are memorable in any games or series they produce, even when they're a little too much, their designs have a peculiar, lovable charm, i really really like them.

anyway here's me rating the GO designs of the OG characters :

endou is the fucking favorite. you can tell the studio really did their best for him. even without watching GO, you can tell he's still his old passionate self but in a cool and matured way. you can tell he's coaching kids and you can tell the kids love him and he loves them in return. 10/10.

kidou is great. of course he would be wearing a suit to coach middle schoolers, this is what being kidou is about !

i do think the new goggles are a little goofy, but haruna gave them to him, so of course he would wear them without hesitation. you can tell he's still awfully serious, but also no longer ashamed to monologue about his (occasionally stupid) special interest of the week if asked.

i would have advocated for longer dreads rather than, idk sorta untangled dreads ? but you know what, this is great. 9/10

ok so final thoughts on high school frenemy, going backwards from the ending to the beginning. I think the ending was significantly weaker and also i'm just a negative person who has to get stuff I dislike off my chest before I can discuss the positive aspects so- I swear I didn't hate this show but

the Jan plot at the end annoyed the fuck out of me, I won't lie. While Jan's trying her best and she's a sympathetic character, she did in fact choose to go along with the principal's ideas and select Peeta instead of Eve and thus, act as another cog in the machine that's always going to give preferential treatment to kids who have wealth and power at their disposal. Her actions have a direct impact, they have consequences, and her inability to acknowledge the violence that SHE had part in perpetuating irritated me so much. It does in fact look like she's giving preferential treatment, like she's spinelessly bowing down to what the administration and parents' association wants- and the kids ask her, their initial response even is to understand that forces above her probably forced her hand and Jan's the one who insists on taking responsibility for the decision and seriously, how can she blame them for not trusting her afterwards. And then the girls having to apologize to HER instead of her at any point apologizing to them for betraying their tentative trust?

also like 3 different groups of people had to come to her house to get her back, I was so sick of this nonsense

the dragon fang(?) ending fight was so lame. I expected Saint with his steel body and reputation to have gotten some more fighting done. Sung singlehandedly beating the entire gang felt soooo teacher ex-machina, like yes his backstory involves him being part of a gang back in the day but idk, I don't think he had the credibility to pull this off even though I did expect some involvement from him

I also wanted the whole thing about Jung's brother to be brought back in that jung-sung confrontation, like I was anticipating some kind of devastating emotional attack from sung yk and was sorely disappointed

ken's final arc, the saving him from the gang or whatever was fairly good, I liked how resistant Ken was, Kay did some fantastic acting in that section.

the whole 'oh we're all friends now' shtick didn't really work for me

i think this is one of those shows where i'd be ok or even encourage them to have ambivalent or slightly hopeful endings instead of 'happy ever after'

andl I got fatigue from all the dramatic resolutions happening back to back for like 3-4 episodes straight

especially because the plot distribution up to this point was like 85% shinsaint 15% everyone else and then tipping that so much so suddenly made the unevenness stand out more? if that makes sense?

let's talk about the girls now because man- first of all, who told these writers that girls can't throw a punch and instead solely fight through pulling each other's hair? Let's please stop this

secondly- i've never said this about view but I didn't like her character. She's pulled characters that are very reminiscent of this before- 23.5, I think trainee from the little i've seen of it, my precious to an extent, home school I think, but in this genre and setting, it felt so fake and unrealistic. No one acts like that. (this was so painful to me because view's my favorite actress at gmmtv and I have never once criticized her)

viewjune as a whole felt like echoes of their 23.5 dynamic but like not in a way I can describe, rather just the vibes

i also felt that the focus on them as a 'ship' meant that they had like 0 interactions with anyone else except peeta

we see eve and saint be friends at the beginning and earn's character also be friends with them as a little trio and never see that again

they could've also leaned into the love triangle aspect with peeta/eve/airey? more

overall I think the way they depicted the school ecosystem and all of its players and how they interact w/ each other was fairly decent until the last act

i liked in the beginning how Jan was trying to do good and it wasn't working or it wouldn't turn out how she wanted

i liked how Jung and Jan played off of each other

like it touches on the systemic and cyclic nature of what happens at the school even if lightly and similar to every other school-based drama out there, I still liked it (initially)

I love Took, I think she needs a gl, like a slice of life where she's a single mom and idk falls in love with her kids teacher or someone at the convenience store next door etc. Tons of possibilities. I thought it was hilarious whenever she slapped Saint and also very understandable. I wish we just got more of her in general?

also- that scene where shin and saint basically come out ab their relationship or whatever reminded me soooo much of in something in my room where her son also comes out about about his relationship

the way that shin was like "I know he broke my leg and destroyed my dreams and left me traumatized and depressed but I LOVE him mom" = phat in simr saying "I know he's literally dead but I LOVE him mom". Took's always having to deal with shit like this I swear

I think Shin's by far the more likable and sympathetic one? Is that just me?

like even in the beginning when saint's doggedly following him around with dejected puppy eyes, it's so clear on shin's face how affected he is by saint's presence and how the fear of getting left behind and hurt by saint still haunts him

even when you don't know exactly what happened you can't help but chafe a bit against saint just barging past any boundaries shin tries to set (which in hindsight was one of the few things saint did right but still)

Shin in general is just sooo precious

He absolutely cannot hide anything on his face

I just love characters where they're super snarky and sharp on the outside when they care deeply on the inside

It's just such a vibe. So I LOVE shin

I love saint possibly more but it's because I find him to be such a flawed annoying little thing

Saints just so frustrating that it makes him interesting

Like I'm just as annoyed as shin when he tries to goad saint into fighting for him, into being possessive and resolute, and then saint starts the 'oh I'm not good enough to stay by your side but I still want to' shtick and I'm sighing in tandem with shin (which btw, that whole little routine is so funny because by the 10th time, shins so fucking annoyed and it bleeds through the screen)

Saint just keeps shying away from his own decisions and being wishy washy and it's so funny the way that it's in total misalignment from whatever shin wants and is feeling at any given time.Like these two have dogshit timing and I love that for them

Unrelated but it's hilarious whenever they keep getting sucked into their own little world and people have to remind them that other people exist too

Overall, I think the show was fairly solid if a bit repetitive and even it's weak third act wasn't unforgivable compared to some of the horrid third acts gmmtvs given us this year

i read a fic where gojo gives nobara his eye as soon as he gets out of the box bc he feels like he failed his student and he wants her to succeed. and it just HIT DIFF.

gojo's emotional arc of "being the strongest means being unable to connect to others" has always been so muddied by suguru and megumi and even yuji and nobara.

like? he obviously CAN invest himself emotionally in others, but the manga heavily favors showing him being arrogant, being invincible in battle, beating the crap out of people. or locking him in a box sdfgjhklshg

his character as a whole would have so much more depth if gege put a spotlight on gojo as a teacher, which is where all of his humanity is. gojo's not fighting to protect the world or whatever. he wants to protect his students.

he wants to raise up new, powerful sorcerers, he wants to feel less alone, he EXPLICITLY wants to form a connection with these young people he's personally mentoring. we find out he hid straight up HID sukuna's final finger just to protect yuji!

ok SO i'm sorry this took forever but i just had no idea what vibe to choose for kendall and logan. their dynamic is so complex. but i gave it a shot

first up - flowers by porridge radio. everyone knows i love porridge radio and this is one of my favourite songs because i relate to it so much.

"is it funny? / you can't stay away / i'm in your blood / im in your veins / the worst things i could do / the worst things i could say / couldn't keep you away from me / keep you away from it". - for me this is like. it doesn't matter what logan says or does, ken keeps returning to him - whether as a son, an adversary, an underling etc. he can't escape his father's orbit. it's literally in his blood - in his veins.

Alsoooo "you cut tomatoes, they're soft to the touch / when will you punish me for what I have done? / you cut them straight through, fall apart in your hands / if i am punished, i am free from the bad" - for me just epitomises kendall and logan's interactions in season 2. he wants absolution for the maslaughter but the coverup has removed any chance for that. and kendall now "owes" logan for saving him which would inevitably make ken feel like he's just waiting for the punishment / for his debt to be called in by logan

second - wild pack of family dogs by modest mouse

"a wild pack of family dogs came runnin' through the yard one day / my father got his gun, shot it up, they ran away, okay / a wild pack of family dogs came runnin' through the yard / and as my own dog ran away with them / i didn't say much of anything at all" - idk to me the wild pack of family dogs is like freedom and independence. logan keeps that away from kendall and isolates him from outside influence. ken's own dog (stewy / nate / naomi / rava / other friends or significant others in his life) runs off at some point and ken stays with logan.

aannnddd "a wild pack of family dogs came runnin' through the yard / as my little sister played, the dogs took her away / and i guess she was eaten up, okay, yeah, she was eaten up, okay" makes me think of shiv pursuing a career outside of waystar and how ken might have felt about it.

last - avalanche by leonard cohen. i like this because a) i just love leonard cohen but b) kendall, logan, and religious imagery is special to me.

"you strike my side by accident / as you go down for your gold" - this makes me think about business always coming before family and kendall being harmed in various ways for the company

"your pain is no credential here / it's just the shadow, shadow of my wound" - this is logan and kendall to me mainly because it brings to mind kendall trying to give money to the family of the waiter. he tries to find absolution and logan treats the situation as completely inconsequential. so kendall's "pain" is a shadow of the parent's pain at losing their son, and logan's pain is a shadow of kendall's pain. idk if that makes sense. like the parents are grieving, kendall feels guilty, and logan feels inconvenienced.

"do not dress in those rags for me / i know you are not poor" - for me this is like logan saying to ken that he can't break away from waystar while also wanting logan's approval. kendall can't pretend he's a kid while also wanting to be the boss. now obv logan is the reason his kids depend on him so much. he literally designed it to be that way. BUT idk this just reminds me of their relationship dynamic.

Favourite season and why? winter! i like when it's cold and you can wrap up in blankets; i like those really cold mornings and cold nights and the frost and ice; less people are out when you go to parks/outdoor places; there are several things that can't happen in winter and those things give me anxiety; i have work and while it's stressful, it's not intense like other parts of the year

Favourite book(s): Villette by Charlotte Bronte, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte are my top three

favourite aesthetic(s)and why? I think 'cottagecore' is pretty cute, or like, space aesthetics or 'arty' ones - oh, and like, horribly gaudy rainbow ones. Idk all the proper names but those ones just appeal to me

With books, I like 'literary' fiction, classics, historical fiction and short stories too? I guess I like the analyse stuff when I read, to look at the layers and structures, and I find those genres lean more easily towards that.

sam's halloween costumes 2013-2020

certain things that i planned to post fell through, but luckily for me an anon asked "I feel like you'd be the one capable of doing this. Can you make a compilation separately of Sam and Colbys costumes over the years?" and since it fits right in with what i've been posting, i figured i would post this instead of what i was planning to post because not everything works in my favor, apparently lol

so now i present to you, sam's halloween costumes thru the years

(i might have missed one or two, but i'm pretty sure this is all of them)

also... i'm gonna rate them for shits and gigs lol

starting with 2013, sam dressed up as a greek/roman person. it was a couples costume with his girlfriend at the time.

sam (as you will see) goes for couples costumes almost always. that's not really a problem, but i do have a sneaky suspicion that he doesn't really choose the costume and it's his gf that does it lol

rating: 2/5, kinda boring, not creative, but not the worst

2014 is the only year i couldn't find a single costume for him. if you know, feel free to let me know bc i couldn't find anything that told me what he dressed up as.

the next year, in 2015, sam and colby dressed up together, which is so cute and one of the few (if literally the only time) they were in a couples costume sksks

they were mario and luigi

i think it's fucking hilarious that the suspenders are just black tape on their shirt. also... mario and luigi don't have suspenders??? they wear overalls.

rating: 2/5, kinda dumb, but the black tape is funny enough to keep this from being a one lmao

in 2016, i couldn't really find an actual costume that he wore, but i did find this screenshot from some video wear he rewore the mario costume

i'm like 99% sure that he's wearing a red shirt turned inside out with black tape overtop again..

for halloween in 2017, technically sam and colby weren't in the country (they were in egypt with elton on a tfil trip) but sam and kat were finally a couple so you know what that means.... sam doesn't have to decide what to wear lmao

the costumes are really cute, obviously just bits and pieces that they both owned and probably bought from party city and honestly, i sometimes like a simple costume.

rating: 3.5/5, adorable, and sam hasn't worn that hat in a long time

2018 was the first time that sam had two different costumes, both of which i thoroughly enjoyed. and again, i just have a feeling that sam didn't come up with neither one. but that doesn't matter.

peter pan and tinkerbell is adorable. personally i would have went with peter pan and wendy but nonetheless it was cute. and then barbie and ken is a cute idea, but you can tell it was a last minute costume since they aren't a specific barbie and ken. i also feel like they could have based their outfits more off of each other and did more makeup or hair. just something else that would have made it more special.

2019 also had two costumes. and again, it's kinda the same deal as the previous year: one costume is more thought through while the other is a last minute one.

the corpse bride costume is fucking awesome, and it's only that good bc he's in a suit (bc every man looks hot in a suit) and the makeup !!! idk who did it, but props to whoever it was. the fireman costume... it's fine. not my fave tho.

and then in 2020, they repeated themselves again: one great and one mediocre costume lol

the beauty and beast costume is so adorable, and sam dressing up as a prince is something i need more in my life. i kinda wish kat's dress was an actual dress, but beggers can't be choosers i guess.

and the second costume... is barely a costume. sam is wearing his regular clothes with the jacket from love for hire (rip). and kat's cheerleading costume is cute... kinda boring tho.

overall, sam only succeeds at wearing the costumes his gf puts in front of him. i would love for him to have his own separate costume one year. he can still dress up with kat in a couple costume, but have a different one to just post in or go to a party in. also, while i get the lazier costumes are for parties... you can still be interest with a simple costume. the nerds one is proof. that one is interesting. the others are just either really generic or too simple that they look like clothes.

** blazing saddles is a mel brooks movie, and he’s REALLY offensive and inappropriate in his satire. it’s definitely an iconic comedy, but not to everyone’s taste. it’s one of those movies where you’re actually allowed to laugh at the really horrible jokes because it’s an equal-opportunity offense-fest lmao

So, Mr. Lee Jinki, the reason I am here today. This beautiful man stole my heart the instant I heard his voice in the OST for To The Beautiful You. His voice spoke to me and still does to this day. His smile is gorgeous and never fails to make me smile as well. I'm gonna die when he enters the military but I will be here waiting when he gets back.

Shinee Bias Wrecker: None(?) /All

Um, I can't really choose one after Onew because I love them all so much. OT5 will be forever and as weird as it may be every time I see the moon I know it's Jjong. Key is my sass twin. Taemin is my little baby even though we are the same age 😂. Minho is a literal angel and deserves all the love. Shinee are so unique and so talented and have worked so hard. There really isn't a reason to not love them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Vixx Bias: Leo aka emo Prince

This emo cutie I have no idea why I fell for him. Other then I have a thing for shy, cuties who get embarrassed easily. Also he is one of the only idols that are *cough* taller *cough* then me. Well him and most of Vixx. But anyways I love his shynees and the head fairy. But I do adore his new found confidence. His voice is unique and gorgeous. He is a piano player too so I'm weak.

Vixx Bias Wrecker: Ken and N

What can I say Ken's voice does things to me 😍 and he is such a softie and a cutie. Hakyeon idk he is so gorgeous and demands attention when dancing. He has this power about him that's just super attractive plus he is totally a mom and I'm totally a dad despite being a girl 😂. So vixx hyung line are murdering me. Ravi is working his way in too. Vixx in general man 😍

Monsta X Bias: Shownu

My papa bear once again a shy, cutie ❤️❤️. Told you I had a type. But he is big and strong and yet seems so gentle. And like as he said he doesn't like power using atmospheres so like he is just a babe in general. But seriously he is awkwad but he puts his everything into the boys and its just such an attractive trait. He even gave up his money from his commercial filming. And anytime he is doing something solo he talks about the boys and how they are 7 and I just think that's adorable how much he loves them.

Monsta X Bias Wrecker: Jooheony

So this cutie has always affected me but it was just solidified recently when I met him at their concert in Atlanta. To this fucking day that smile he had when I gave him a high five makes me weak. It was just so bright and beautiful and I have it engrained in my mind. Also his rapping is just spot on when he growls or rolls his r's ☠️. His singing deserves so much attention. Shownu and his stage was just fire and so good and Jooheon's singing voice is just amazing ❤️

Exo Bias: Kyungsoo

So, this little goth penguin. Is me in short, male form 😂 I'm sorry but he is like 6 inches shorter then me. But I still love him. His voice is to die for and when he smiles he looks like a child. But, like when he hits chanyeol its hilarious to me. Like here is chanyeol who is twice his size and here is him cowaring to Soo 😂. I love it! Seriously though he is so caring, shy, and cute. His singing is gorgeous and his acting is amazing. What can't he do ♥️♥️

Exo Bias Wrecker: Xiumin

This man's eyes fuck with me ok! Like they are pointy, and cat like and beautiful and they affect me in ways I don't like to admit. Also shorter then me 😂 but gorgeous as fuck. Can go from man to child in an instant and it's like having whiplash. Black hair is the best look don't argue with me please. Because then I have to get prove and I'm gonna die over and over again to get the proof. Singing on point dancing in point.

OK, so I think that's it. If you made it all the way through this I applaud you. As you can see I have a type and like I'm just gonna go die in a corner now cause I had to go through all my feels. There is so much more for each of them but I would have to write like a 10 page paper for each to get everything out 😂

I am not sure What yo think about this episode, at first I liked It, but after all Evan and Kentin's thing I'm confused. What about you?

The beginning of the episode was so funny to me bc I called the sex ed thing FOR MONTHS (back in ep 34 i think) like… I knew it lmao let me be happy about this im a child

The sex ed class in itself was interesting… but so cringy lol, when Delanay started looking for someone to do the demonstration… I started switching tabs to avoid the moment when she would choose Candy… tried to delay the inevitable… it was so embarrassing i was cringing so hard i almost died. thank god Rosa did it plus i love the illu (illus were kinda hard to get ?? i still don’t understand è_ê)

When Candy wondered “Do I want to have sex with Armin ?” i was like “aw Candy” but also “Candy, fffufck watch what ur saying this is a game for KIDS”. But im glad shes actually wondering, it feels realistic. Armin is as chill as ever with the the whole sex ed thing but Candy can feel that he’s a little embarrassed too. And you can really feel that they’re attracted to each other so \o/

also the characters kept mentionning how hot it was… so I guess we’re at the end of the school year ? To me it feel like Candy��s gonna be a senior next year but maybe i misunderstood and she’s actually going to college next year… idk lol at least we got confirmation that they’re not majors :’)

NOW for the whole Evan/Kentin thing… at first i thought Evan would be a good guy lol he’s super buff but at the same time he has a baby face ?… kinda lol and he keeps blushing at everything. too bad he’s an asshole who feels like he has to prove himself no matter the time. and the fact that he dragged Kentin down with him… yikes.  I’m rly disappointed with him, I rly thought he would be a kind guy at the beginning of the ep. I want to kick his ass, idc if he’s my…. MY,,,,,, brother in law…… YIKES

I’m not a fan of Kentin but I don’t hate him either. That huge drop in LOM at the end of the episode hurt me too. I hope he’ll realize that Evan is not a good influence on him and that he doesn’t have to prove himself to anyone. He’s trying to suppress “Ken” by playing the tough guy but he probably knows that this isn’t who he is really. imo Kentin is a pretty sensitive guy but being sensitive doesn’t correspond with the image he’s trying to build for himself to impress other (mainly Evan and his father too). He’s just scared to become a victim again and he’s self-destroying in the process to not be hurt again. And he’s pushing away the people who could really help him

That being said, THE ARCS ARE COMING TOO FAST, i rly thought we were gonna party this ep T_T let me chill pls. also omg~~ Armin and Alex’s brother is Kentin’s bff from military school~~~~ what a coincidence !! the world is small isn’t it ? :) (sarcasms) (that’s some big coincidence but my suspension of disbelief is always ready for u chino) (lol we all feared that Kentin would be related to Alexy but in the end it was the complete opposite lol)

also i didn’t lie to Mom it felt so great
