Wild thought on the Walking Dead show (which is finally over? wow?):
Why do they always go to urban/modern utility areas? Old towns, repurposed suburbs, a prison, train station. I mean, zombies are going to linger where there are people. Those zombies can't move very well on tough terrain. They move in huge hordes that number in the hundreds on highways and roads. Big hosts of the undead.
Just... Head for a mountain? Do you realize how many ski resorts there are? And many of them are very empty and unbooked in summer seasons, because there is no snow? And the TWD apocalypse strikes in around late spring-summer?
Bruh just get a good possy of folks and a good car, clear out a ski resort, and chill there. Most resorts have sporting goods stores nearby or built into their hotel so guests can buy gear. In some cases there are camp grounds a few miles away. They probably have independent generators and there's probably enough gasoline as emergency backup on sight to last you through the first winter WITH refrigeration.
IDK it might have been interesting to see all these clearly urban Georgians fumble around in a ski resort while Daryl just watches the chaos unfold at a distance. A more interesting show for me than perpetual violence for no useful reason.
