Memories of the past, Joys of the present and Dreams of the future
There wasn't much Gajeel missed about the days before he had joined Fairy Tail. In fact, it was only one thing. Skateboarding. He had been pretty damn good at it too, before he had developed motion sickness.
He wondered if the twins would grow up to enjoy it as much as he had, or if they would like different things entirely. The had only been born about six months ago, but he loved them with all his heart, and it sucked that he couldn't share this with them.
"What wrong Gajeel? Are twins okay? Are you okay?" Levy asked gently.
"Yeah. Just thinking."
"Don't hurt yourself." She joked before getting serious "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really. There's not much I can do about it anyway." He had more important things to worry about, like taking care of his kids, or his upcoming wedding. Or even the fact that he and Levy didn't really have time to do anything together anymore. When one went on a job, the other stayed home with the kids. His guildmates helped out sometimes, sure, but he could probably count the amount of people he fully trusted to take care of two babies on his hands. Bisca and Alzack. Maybe Mira or Freed. Maybe. No, Mirajane wasn't a good influence. Lisanna? He didn't really know her, but she seemed sensible. Lucy helped sometimes, but she didn't have much experience with babies and she had her own life. Rogue was the third best choice, after Bisca and Alzack, the fact that his frog was still alive was a testament to that. He had watched his niece and nephew on a couple of occasions, but he was helping Sting with Sabertooth.
On his way back from a job with Jet, Droy and Lily, he noticed a skate park. Several people were skateboarding there, having the time of their lives. Blasted motion sickness. That was also why they were walking.
He didn't know why the grief over not being to go skateboarding anymore was hitting him now. Was it because he would never be able to share the joy with the twins? He tried to conceal it from Levy. They both had bigger things to worry about. Or so he had thought.
It took Levy two weeks to drag Rogue into it. Gajeel, half asleep on a Sunday morning, could hear them through the floor.
"He won't tell me what's wrong, and Lily has no idea either. Whatever it is is clearly bugging him and it's not going away. Please just try." Levy was clearly at her wits' end. Gajeel hadn't wanted to worry her. He got up and got dressed. He needed to come clean.
"Alright, but if he hasn't told you or Lily, he probably won't tell me either." Rogue agreed.
"Fro thinks so too!"
Gajeel came downstairs.
"Morning." He said, not sure where to start.
"You heard us didn't you?" Lily stated more than asked.
"Yeah. Didn't wanna worry you. It's not a big deal. But I guess it's too late for that."
"What happened?" Levy asked.
"It's stupid. I used to really like skateboarding, but then my motion sickness, well, happened, and I couldn't do it anymore. Then a couple of weeks ago, I realized I'd never be able to teach the twins how to skate, even if they were interested."
"That's not stupid. I remember you doing it all the time. Of course you'd be upset about it." Rogue said.
Levy thought for a moment.
"Say, Gajeel? Did Wendy ever use Troia on you?" Levy asked.
"Nah, what's the point? It'll stop working anyway."
"Yeah, if you overuse it. Using it once or twice a year probably isn't going to do that. Or if you want to be sure you get to skate with the twins, once every two years. But I think once a year would probably be fine." Levy explained. "So you don't forget. You could even teach us, as practice."
Gajeel froze. Was she suggesting what he thought she was?
"Sounds fun. All we need are some skateboards. You and Frosch coming too, Rogue?" Lily asked.
"If you'll have us." Rogue smiled.
"Fro thinks so too."
"You mean now?" Gajeel asked.
"No, we need to find someone to watch the twins and rent some skateboards. And ask Wendy to cast the spell on you two." Levy reminded him. "Next week. Should we go rent the boards on Saturday?"
-
"Hey, little blue! You got a minute?" Gajeel asked a couple of days later.
"Yes Gajeel? What's up?"
"Me, Lev, Rogue and the cats are going skateboarding on Sunday. Could you cast Troia on us and do you want to join us?" He asked.
"I'd love to come, but I don't think that spell will work on me. I can definitely cast it on you two though." Wendy said, a little sad.
"My bad, kid. Wanna go get ice-cream with us afterwards?" Gajeel frantically tried to cheer her up.
"Yep. See you on Sunday!" It had worked. Gajeel doubted he would have any trouble convincing the rest to get ice-cream.
Meanwhile, Levy had convinced Alzack and Bisca to watch the twins for the afternoon, so that was taken care of.
-
The group looked around the shop for skateboards, in the for hire section.
"No, Rogue. That skateboard is too small. No, Rogue, I don't care if it has frogs on it, you're going to get hurt." Gajeel insisted. "And before you ask, it's far too big for Frosch."
There was a clatter as the exceed in question launched herself into a stack of skateboards while riding a penny-board.
"Frosch, are you alright?" Rogue dashed over to rescue her.
"No testing the boards inside the shop!" The salesman scolded.
"Don't you think she's learned her lesson? Hasn't she suffered enough?" Rogue asked, clutching Frosch to his chest. Gajeel walked over to make sure Rogue didn't get them kicked out or arrested. But since the exceed was safe in his arms, Gajeel doubted it would come to that.
"Fro thinks Fro's going to fly."
Babysitting was hard. At least Levy and Lily had found boards that wouldn't cause them to fall flat on their faces. The idiot he was trying to wrangle, however, was still wistfully looking at the frog board.
"For the last time, Rogue-"
"Wait, hear me out! I can use my magic if I fall off, so it's fine." Rogue suggested.
"You'll be doing that anyway. Come on, there are loads of cool boards."
"Listen to Gajeel, Rogue, he knows what he's doing. Look, that one has a tiger on it!" Levy thankfully jumped in. It was nice that Rogue finally got to act like a kid, he'd definitely earned it, but when it was putting him in harms way, it got exhausting quickly.
"Yeah, it's pretty cool too. What do you think, Frosch?" Rogue agreed. Luckily, that board was the right size. He wasn't sure what he would have done if it wasn't.
"Fro likes it. It's pink and green, like Fro!"
-
It had been agreed that Rogue and Frosch would spend the night over at Gajeel and Levy's so they wouldn't have to travel all the way from Gazania. It was honestly impressive how much more responsible Rogue became the second he was around the twins, or literally anyone less responsible than him.
Right now, Gajeel was holding his children while Rogue cooked and Lily set the table. Levy was reading a fairy tale aloud to Frosch and the twins.
"Rogue, you'd better not be making fire in there! It'll take Salamander fifteen minutes to get here, even if he picks up his damn lacrima." Gajeel said when he smelled a faint burning smell. He didn't need to shout, Rogue wasn't deaf.
"It's fine, it's under control. And Natsu and Sting owe me 5'000 jewel now." Rogue said smugly from the kitchen.
"Why, did you bet on who could set my kitchen on fire first?" Gajeel asked.
"No, Sting and Natsu bet on who could set water on fire first, and before you ask, no, I don't know why, and I said I would because I'm sick and tired of having to turn off the fire alarm. He set everything except the water on fire."
"You set water on fire! How?"
"It's really easy, do you want to see?"
"No! Not in my house."
Levy had stopped reading, giving Gajeel a concerned look.
"No, it's fine. He's not going to set our house on fire." Gajeel reassured her.
Dinner was served soon after, surprisingly unburnt. It was spaghetti and meatballs. And chocolate cake.
"Okay, but how did you set the water on fire?" Levy finally asked.
"Oh, there was oil in the pasta water, so I set that on fire. Then I put the lid on it to put it out." Rogue explained. Gajeel couldn't say he hadn't done stupider things with less care. At least Rogue understood how to put out an oil fire.
"It was a good idea, but could you not do that in our house in the future?" Levy requested.
"Yeah, sorry. I really should have asked first." "Fro thinks so too."
Rogue looked even guiltier than before, and Gajeel knew he wouldn't do it again.
"It was a pretty neat trick. I'll take the twins to Saber and you can show them there." Gajeel suggested.
"Do you want them to turn out like Natsu?" Lily asked.
"Do they owe you 5'000 jewel each or together?" Gajeel changed the subject.
"Each. They really didn't think I could do it."
"Wow. You should take bets from them more often." Gajeel said. Levy shot him a warning glare, which probably meant he was being a bad influence. Scratch that, he definitely was.
"Guess it pays to be the smartest idiot in the room." Rogue joked.
"Don't do anything stupid. Your reputation as the smartest Dragonslayer is in danger." Lily warned him. "Wendy'll come for your title, and if you keep listening to Natsu and Sting, so will Gajeel."
"Terrifying. I'll be careful." Rogue promised.
-
It was finally the day. Gajeel hadn't realized how excited he had been until the time had come. Wendy had cast her spell on them and everyone was ready to go.
"Helmets, everyone." Levy reminded them. Rogue was already wearing his, so the comment was directed at him and Lily, who was in his combat form.
"Fro doesn't need a helmet." Frosch proclaimed. Gajeel knew it was because she had opted out of actually skateboarding, but there also wasn't much brain to damage. The same could be said of him though, so he shut up about it.
As soon as his helmet was on, Gajeel sped off. He didn't know the names of most of the moves he did, since he'd rarely spoken to anyone about skating. But he jumped all of the ramps just fine. He had missed this so much, and now he could do it again. Out of practice, he fumbled the landing, landing on his hands and knees.
"Are you alright?"
"Yep. Happens to the best of us. What's important is to get right back up."
The first hour was fairly slow, with the other three trying to get comfortable with the boards. Rogue and Levy picked it up surprisingly quick, at least on flat ground. Lily struggled a bit, but Gajeel himself hadn't become an expert overnight. He taught them how to do an Ollie next, in part because it was fairly simple, but mostly because it was the only move he could name.
Levy took a while to position her feet correctly and decided to take a break to properly observe the difference between what Gajeel was doing and what the others were doing after falling down half a dozen times.
Rogue fell into his shadow the first few times, but perhaps as a result of that safety net, he was braver about it than he would have been otherwise. He was the first to master it among Gajeel's students. Once Rogue had succeeded, Levy decided she had observed enough and tried again. She had improved considerably, and Gajeel was once again impressed by how far taking a step back and watching had gotten her.
Lily, despite being otherwise physically capable, seemed to have some trouble grasping it. Remembering how Rogue had used his shadow, Gajeel led him to the lawn.
"Try practicing here. The board won't slip so much and the landing will be softer." He suggested. After a few more tries, during which Rogue and Levy practiced turning, Lily had managed to do an Ollie. It wasn't the most magnificent one Gajeel had ever seen, but it was an Ollie.
"Do you want to try on the concrete again?" Gajeel asked. Lily grinned.
"Of course." He fell a few more times, but he was succeeding more and more often. Gajeel patted him on the shoulder, concratulating him on his improvement.
He left Lily to practice a bit longer to check on the other two. Rogue had figured out how to spin mid-air, though he fumbles the landing and fell into his shadow, while Levy was doing laps around the park. and Frosch flew back and forth between them. He waved her over and walked over to Rogue. Levy drove over and tried to stop, but she miscalculated and crashed into Gajeel, who caught her. F
"Sorry!" She squeaked. Gajeel chuckled.
"Nah, don't worry. You're doing great. You both are." He praised them, and both grinned. "If you want to try some of the ramps, I think you can pull it off. Just be careful."
Rogue and Frosch sped off to try out the ramps, while Levy went with him to check on Lily.
"Lily and I can race each other around the park, if you want to do some ramps." Levy suggested.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, you're the one that wanted to skate, it would be a shame if you didn't." Levy insisted, Lily nodding in agreement.
Gajeel smiled and took off, joining Rogue on the half pipe.
"Hey punk! Watch this!" He bragged, speeding up the pipe. He made it to the top and flipped over, flying through the air. The familiar rush of feeling the wind in his hair and nothing but the board under his feet washer over him. He landed at the top of the opposite side and skated down, coming to a stop.
"Wow! That's awesome!" Rogue cheered, while Frosch flew in circles around both of them.
"Gajeel flew like Fro! Like Fro!" The exceed laughed.
"Can I try?"
"Normally, I'd say no, but with your magic, the worst that could happen is that you'd look stupid."
Rogue smiled at that and skated to the top of the half-pipe, standing at the top. That was how Gajeel had started off too. He drove down at full speed and came up on the other side, flying straight into the air and straight back down onto the pipe before rolling back to the side where he started and rolling down again, stumbling to a halt at the bottom, without the help of his magic, Gajeel noted.
"Nailed it." Rogue said flatly.
"Good job. Not what you were aiming for, but it's still a solid trick."
"Fro thinks so too!"
Gajeel went to the other ramps to practice, leaving Rogue to practice his flips. He cleared the obstacle courses a few times before turning to watch Lily and Levy race. Lily was a little clumsy in his driving, but was maintaining decent speed, to Gajeel's pride. Levy, meanwhile, was matching him elegantly. A small rock, maybe the size of Gajeel's fist was in her way, but instead of swerving to avoid it, she jumped over it. He smiled as he heard her laugh aloud and sped off to join them. Lily fell back as he approached, granting them some time alone.
"Nice jump, shrimp! Hard to believe it's your first time."
"Thanks. It's hard to believe I'm finally skating." Levy admitted.
"Huh? You've thought about skating before?"
"Yeah. I've always wanted to learn, but there was something else that came first every time. It's more fun than I expected, you know." Levy's smile could have blinded Gajeel then and there.
"Glad to hear it. Do you want to try on of the obstacle courses with me?"
"Sure do!"
Gajeel led her to the simplest one, two bars, followed by a rise and then a small ramp with a stream the size of his forearm between it and the landing space. The whole park was much fancier that the one in Oak Town had been.
Gajeel did a double Ollie over the bars and casually drove over the rise, winking at Levy as he passed her. Then, to show off a bit, he did a flip over the ramp, which easily cleared the stream.
"How was that, Lev? You think you can do the course?" Gajeel asked. Levy grinned confidently.
"Watch me."
She cleared the bars, a little awkwardly, Gajeel admitted, but she stuck both landings. Then she turned her skateboard around to face him before going over the rise, where she winked at him. Turning to look ahead, she faced the ramp, flying into the air before hitting the ground and skidding to a halt. She almost fell over, but kept her balance and gave him a thumbs up, which he returned. When he placed his foot on the board, a now familiar wave of motion sickness washed over him. He picked the board up and walked over to Levy instead.
"Did the spell wear off?" She asked.
"Yeah. Guess it's time to get little blue the ice-cream I promised her." Gajeel confirmed.
-
They entered the cafe Wendy had chosen about an hour later, after dropping the skateboards off at Gajeel and Levy's house.
"Thanks kid. Today was great." Gajeel told Wendy. He looked at everyone. "I'm paying, buy whatever you want."
Lily was thrilled to learn that the shop had kiwi ice-cream as a temporary addition to the menu, and Wendy admitted that that was what made her choose the shop over the other one she was considering. Levy, out of curiosity, had a scoop of kiwi ice-cream and a scoop of vanilla. Gajeel mixed chocolate and raspberry. Frosch chose one scoop of bubblegum. Wendy had white chocolate, strawberry and bubblegum, which Gajeel doubted would mix well. Rogue chose white chocolate and mint-chocolate chip.
"Natsu set Lucy's house on fire today." Wendy told them mid meal.
"Really? What happened?" Levy asked. Gajeel and Rogue exchanged looks.
"Apparently, he was trying to burn water. Happy banned him from trying it at his house." Wendy seemed thoroughly confused. Levy looked at Rogue, who cleared his throat.
"Tell him Sting and I are inviting him to dinner in two days. Tell him to bring 5'000 jewel." He asked her.
"Sure, but why?"
"You'll see. Can the squirt and I come too?" Gajeel asked. Rogue agreed.
"Tell me how it goes." Levy asked.
"Don't you want to come too?" Rogue invited her.
"Nah. I'm going to stay with the twins."
"Lily?"
"I'm good. Maybe Levy and I can finally finish that rom-com we were watching."
-
"Hello, welcome to our house!" Lector greeted Gajeel, Salamander and Wendy.
"Rogue! They're here!" Sting called out excitedly, rushing to the door. "Natsu, did you do it yet? The water thing."
"...No." Salamander admitted reluctantly.
"Me neither. Don't think Rogue has either. Don't think he really tried."
"I'll figure it out first!" Salamander declared. Gajeel suppressed a grin. Once he and Sting had gone off to see Rogue, Gajeel turned to Wendy.
"Did he bring the 5'000 jewel?"
"I made sure. But why?"
"He's about to lose a bet. Surprised he didn't guess."
The six of them sat at the kitchen table while Rogue brought the food. Gajeel noted the soot stains that marked the area around the stove. It was spaghetti again.
Rogue brought the pasta water over, earning him some questioning looks from everyone except Gajeel and Frosch. He pulled out a lighter and turned it on, trailing it over the oily water. It caught fire instantly, burning brightly. Salamander, Sting, Wendy and Lector gasped.
"5'000 jewel please, gentlemen." Rogue requested as Salamander ate the fire. Salamander looked upset at losing the bet, but Sting stared at Rogue in awestruck shock. Gajeel hoped he didn't look like that whenever Levy said something smart. Sting went over to grab his wallet to hand Rogue his winnings, and Gajeel nudged Salamander to do the same. At Rogue's insistence, they washed their hands afterwards before tucking in.
This was lining up to be one of the best weeks ever.

Heat radiates up from the pan over your wrist as you cook your breakfast, stirring mindlessly as you lose yourself in thought. The rattle of your phone against the counter interrupts you. Turning the stove on low you flip your phone over from its downward position to see Levi’s contact illuminating the screen. Immediately your chest tightens up. It’s only been two days since you last spoke to him. You let it ring for a few seconds before slowly sliding your thumb across the screen to answer.
“Hello?” You hold your breath, hoping he doesn’t notice.
“Morning,” Levi starts, his tone causing your nerves to fray more than they already were. “I reviewed everything you sent over and drew up a recovery plan. If possible, I’d like to go over it in person.” It’s still overwhelming to know just who it is you’re talking to.
“Okay sure.. When?” You ask.
“Today?”
Your eyebrows shoot up in surprise. Moving things along this quickly isn’t exactly what you expected to happen. “Yeah, I can make it in today.” You confirm.
“Eleven work for you?” He asks.
You glance over at the clock on the stove, seeing you had more than enough time to get ready “Perfect.”
“Alright. Sina training center, left wing. My office is on the second floor. I’ll text you the address. See you then.” He hangs up and seconds later your phone buzzes with the address as promised.
***
Sina Training Center is on the opposite side of town from the arena you trained at for Worlds. Having lived in this city for less than a year you’ve only ever seen it in passing. When you finally find a place to park it’s quite the walk before you make it inside, and when you do you’re shocked by the size of this place. It’s a huge lobby, different areas lead you to sport specific sections of the building.
You head left and follow the signs that direct you towards the ice sports wing. On your way to the elevator you pass by the large window. Ice is on full display through this window, causing your stomach to tighten. You stop and observe as three girls train with their respective coaches on the ice. An ache grows in your chest as you watch them.
When you step off the elevator onto the second floor and make your way into the waiting room, there’s a man standing in front of the door that leads to the offices looking down at an iPad. You walk up with the intention of politely getting past him, but when he looks up to face you your heart stops.
That scar is unmistakable. A clean cut that trailed from above his eyebrow all the way down through his lip. Small dots on either side from the stitches even after all this time, and a white glaze over his right eye. Even so, the man in front of you was breathtaking. It was definitely him.
“Wouldn’t have made it very far,” he breaks the silence causing you to snap out of it, and you definitely feel like an ass for staring.
“I’m sorry?”
He quickly shifts to the left of the door revealing a key card scanner, “and I never mentioned which office was mine.” He sounds just like he did on the phone, so.. abstruse? If this wasn’t a professional setting you’d believe he already hated you.
“Levi.” He states, extending his hand out for you to shake. You can’t help but stare. You’re standing in front of one of the most unrivaled skaters, even the accident couldn’t take that title from him.
“Nice to meet you.” You finally muster up. He’s silent for a moment, seemingly observing you.
“Likewise.” He finally says before looking back down and wrapping up whatever it was he was doing on the iPad. He holds it at his hip and digs through his pocket, pulling out a blue lanyard with the training center's logo lined across it, at the end hangs a small white card. “This is yours.” He says. You grab it from him and take a look. It’s a key card with a barcode and your name printed on it. “This will get you into any area designated for skaters, and past this door to my office.” You swear you can hear his voice lift at the second half of that sentence. “Follow me.” You nod as he leads you back into the elevator. Once you’re on the main floor again he points to the rink you passed on your way in.
“That's the common rink, used for general training and classes.” He explains, leading you in the opposite direction down the hall and stopping at a pair of double doors. He presses his key card against the reader on the wall and quickly walks in as they open. When you follow in behind him, you’re stunned to see another large common area lined with equipment shops and a small snack bar section. To the right are two more ice rinks, one immediately to the right of the door you came in and the other’s entrance on the far wall straight across. “Those are the specialty rinks, I call them the rehab rinks.'' He starts, heading in that direction. “They both serve the same purpose though, one is generally used for the hockey team to train off-season. Eventually, we’ll be over there in the third one.” He gestures for you to follow him inside, scanning his card at the entrance. Your breathing nearly seizes. This is the closest you’ve been to the ice since February.
“It’s our smallest rink. Reserved specifically for those recovering from injury who need a less congested area to work in.” He walks the edge of the boards with you in tow, eyes glued to the ice the entire time. “Locker rooms.” He says. You almost ran straight into him not noticing he had stopped to point them out.
Circling back and crossing the large common area with you, he scans his key again. “This is the gym, and past that door is the PT area.” he points past another set of locker rooms. You’re already so overwhelmed, even for you this entire building was so high profile. You felt out of place. “For the next few weeks, we’ll be spending most of our time here.”
You're so sick of physical therapy and just want to be back on the ice already.
As the two of you walk back out towards the elevators to get to his office, he looks over to you. “Do not use any facility without me there with you for now.” He says, and you can tell he’s serious.
***
Levi pulls a folder from his desk as you sit across from him. “Your current recovery plan is nauseating.” He says bluntly, dropping the folder onto the desk.
You’re stunned by the quick change in his tone. “Excuse me?”
“First of all, they set you up for failure before you even left the hospital.” He starts, pulling out printed copies of everything you sent over from the folder. “Ice? Really? Are we still living in the stone ages?” He scoffs “You should have been doing small movements for that ankle since day one, and I don’t see any recommendations here for that.”
“There wasn’t..” You confirm, eyes so wide they could fall out of your skull. It was hard to believe how involved with your recovery he was, not expecting him to review your progress from day one. You figured he would just pick up along with where you already were.
“Of course, and you weren’t referred to the proper resources. Standard physical therapy would never have gotten you back on that ice. It’s up to you but I think you’d do better full time here.” He says, shaking his head. “Christ, did your coach do literally anything for you?”
You wince at the mention of Coach Tarasov, having ghosted her after she drove you home from the hospital. You haven’t reached out since, positive it’s too late now. Getting a new coach was just another thing you’d have to do to get yourself back up. “I didn’t really give her the chance to..”
Levi hummed in response. “You moved on from basic balance too fast, that’s why you’re struggling so badly now. Balance is the most important part of this, you’re a figure skater. We’ll start our assessments there.”
“I don’t have the time to start over.” You reply immediately.
“Do you think you’ll have time when this happens again because you re-injured yourself?” He asks flatly and the question sinks deep. “You won’t, and we’re not starting over. I’m assessing where we are now.”
We.
“Okay.. you’re right.” You exhale and let yourself lean back into the chair.
“I know I am.” He pulls all of the pages back together and slips them back inside your folder. “Three days a week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, seven to eight?” He asks as if it were a question.
“Yes, that works.” You affirm. This was your only option and you had a feeling he knew that too.
He nods and pulls another packet out, sliding it towards you. “Review and sign these.” He says. Flipping through it you recognise it’s the plan he just went over with you, and you sign when prompted. He reaches his hand beside his computer and slides you another white card. “For the parking garage.”
***
The next day you park in the garage and it’s a much easier walk inside, considering it happens to be attached to the skating wing of the training center. You scan your way in and head through the gym, and into the physical therapy room once you throw your stuff into a locker.
When you walk into the room you see Levi talking to what you assume to be another employee. He’s tall, muscular, blond. It looks like he’s actually enjoying their conversation. The discussion seems to stop when Levi’s eyes find you, and he gestures for you to follow him. Racing to catch up with him, you see the man eye the both of you before turning to leave.
“Who's that?” Curiosity gets the best of you.
“Erwin, he’s a personal trainer in another wing.” Levi responds without delay. “Sometimes comes and bothers me between appointments.” As harsh as that sounded, you could tell it came from a place of adoration.
Levi has you sit down after taking your shoes off. You’ve been here before, it’s the same place you got assessments done the first time. You watch as he kneels down and sets the tablet beside him on the mat, gently pressing his thumbs into the front of your ankle and asking you to move your foot in several directions. He feels like a different person in this room than he was in the office or on the phone. He’s gentle and precise, jotting down notes in between every test he does, and making sure you’re comfortable. He's way more involved than your last therapist and you haven’t even gotten past the assessment.
“Let’s try something.” Getting back onto his feet, he walks across the room and grabs an object from the ground. You immediately recognize it as a balance board. It’s a flat square board with a rounded bottom. He places it down on the floor and gestures you over. “Go ahead and step up here.” He reaches his hand out for you to grab. You nervously place your hand in his and step onto the board with your left foot, relying on Levi to support you while you find your balance.
“Great.” He encourages, his tone setting off tiny flutters in your stomach as you attempt to balance yourself. He takes a small step back, seamlessly supporting the weight you’re pushing onto his hand. “I’m going to let go, see how you do here.” He says and waits for you to center yourself before slowly pulling away. He continues to hold his hands out in front of you, palms facing up so you can hover yours above incase you need help with balancing.
Immediately after he retracts his hand your ankle shakes, a reminder of just how far behind you are. A few seconds later discomfort takes over, sending a sting up the inside of your leg. You let your fingertips fall onto his, your eye twitches as you try to avoid relying on him for balance.
“How does that feel?”
“It kind of hurts.”
“Stop.” He grabs your hand and helps you back down off the board. “Then we aren’t there yet.” He comments, jotting the notes down quickly.
You let out a sigh, this is what you meant when you said you couldn’t afford to start over. “I should be on the board by now.” You think out loud.
“Not if it hurts.” He quips, letting the iPad rest against his hip from the strap hanging off his shoulder. “If you can’t balance on that board you won’t be able to balance on a blade.”
“I’ve been in therapy for weeks,” your thoughts quickly spiral, having the determination to recover means nothing if your body works so hard against you. “If I can’t get back on the ice by-“
“I’ll get you back on the ice.”
Your thoughts lapse. The way he said it with such certainty makes you want to believe him that much more.
“Look, I told you your last program was shit,” he sounds like he’s trying to be comforting “it’s not going to happen overnight, and definitely not with that attitude.”
You don’t know how to respond to that. You know he’s right. Again.
Levi leads you to the center of the room for mobility stretches, another exercise you’re more than familiar with. He watches as you shift your weight onto your right leg and tip your left foot outward, it doesn’t hurt but the pull is uncomfortable. You inhale harshly through your nose, pushing further against the strain.
“Don’t force it.” Levi instructs, keeping a close eye on your form.
You switch from stretching to the side to stretching your ankle forward. After going back and forth between the two for about 5 minutes Levi stops you again, moving on to the stationary board for heel lifts. You step up and let your heels hang off the back of the board, every raise has your ankle shaking. You watch Levi in the mirror in front of you, he has a peculiar look on his face. He slowly kneels down behind you to watch closely as you continue to rise up and down on the board.
“Stop, get down.” Levi says firmly.
You oblige, immediately stepping back down onto the padded floor. Levi picks up the tablet and starts quickly swiping across the screen, eyebrows raised and lips pressed in a flat line.
“Your old therapist,” he starts, still quickly filing through pages on the iPad, “did they massage that ankle.”
“No.” You confirm his suspicions.
“‘Course they didn’t.” He mumbles, rolling his eyes as he lets the iPad fall back down against his side. “It’s stiff.” He’s already walking back toward the tables.
You follow behind him nervously, sitting up on the table when prompted. You watch as he methodically washes his hands in a nearby sink. When he comes back he tells you to lay back. He stands at the end of the table, gently bending your foot toward him. You chew the inside of your lip as he slips his hand under your heel, pressing his thumb gently behind your ankle bone and guiding the pressure up. Your breath catches at the slight discomfort but it's slowly replaced by a sense of relief. He continues in that same upward direction, adding a gentle circular motion after a few moments. You turn your head away, fidgeting with your shirt as your heart rate seems to accelerate.
You aren't sure what it is about him. From the moment you knew you’d be working with him it’s all you could think about. At first you chalked it up to admiration. Maybe it was the way he cared, even underneath all the dry conversation and formalities you could tell. Or maybe it’s the way he carries himself. Could be that he’s stunning, like a sunset that perfectly contrasts a clear blue sky. Even now, when he's right in front of you he takes up your mind. Just when you entertain it, imagine his hand sliding up your leg–
“Let’s try again.” His voice startles you out of your thoughts.
You stand back on the board and Levi kneels down again. You lift up once more and your eyes widen slightly. Not only has the discomfort decreased but your ankle doesn’t shake as bad. It’s not perfect, you still feel the tightness and resistance. That last thing you expected was to make progress during your first session with him. You snap your attention to him, back on the tablet adding data. The corner of his lip upturned in a subtle smirk like he just found the last missing piece of an unfinished puzzle.
“It was healing stiff.” He comments, switching you to another exercise. “You’re lucky we caught it when we did.”
“It’s reversible?” You ask, but it comes out as more of a plea.
“It is.” he confirms. You leave the session that day with a detailed print out of exercises from Levi, instructed to do them in the afternoon of your session days and twice a day otherwise.
That night as you do them, his voice echoes in your thoughts
I’ll get you back on the ice.
***
From that point on, your sessions start with a fifteen minute meticulous ankle massage. By the end of the first two weeks you can hold your balance on one foot for thirty seconds with minimal shaking.
Throughout your third week you make miraculous progress. You’re up to forty five seconds of balance on one foot, and painless single heel lifts off the floor and the stationary balance board.
The last 10 minutes of your Friday session Levi has you balance on one foot and places a tennis ball down directly in front of you.
“Pick it up.”
You nod, extending your leg behind you as you slowly bend your knee. Once you have the ball in your hand you slowly rise back up, placing it back in Levi’s hand. He shifts over, setting the ball down to your right. Again, you lower yourself down and back up on one foot with ease. One last time he sets the ball down to your left. When you drop it back in his hand you bring your elevated foot back down to stay stable. He lets out a satisfied huff and walks away, returning with the balance board from a few weeks back and drops it down. He helps you up and this time you pull away from him, quick to neutralize your weight. You make it look easy now.
“Not bad.” His tone sounds indifferent but he has that same look in his eyes, he has it every time you hit a milestone.
Like every win is yours to share.
On your way out, Levi stops to face you. He opens his mouth to say something but quickly closes it again, seeming to second guess himself. “See you next week.”

Randomly generating Ultimate Talents for the DRDT cast and ranking them on how fitting they are (Tetro Danganronpa: Pink Edition):
Teruko Tawaki, Ultimate Bounty Hunter
9/10: It's the Maki Harukawa-energy for me.
Xander Matthews, Ultimate Zoologist
8/10: He would be only the most fanatic of conservationists!
Eden Tobisa, Ultimate Figure Skater
7/10: Call that "Yuri on Ice"!
Hu Jing, Ultimate Superhero
9/10: Two words: savior complex. Also, the concept of buff Hu is heavenly!
J Moreno, Ultimate Impersonator
6/10: I can imagine that their background in acting would lead to them being excellent at impersonation, but doesn't feel nearly as fitting, compared to the previous talentswaps.
Veronika Grebenschikova, Ultimate Demonologist
10/10: ...Too easy.
David Chiem, Ultimate Internet Idol
10/10: Ai Hoshino/KAngel-core!
Arturo Giles, Ultimate Quiz Show Champion
6/10: If the topic is celebrities, Arturo would be a king at quiz shows!
Levi Fontana, Ultimate Gymnast
3/10: I kind of headcanon that Levi is not flexible in the slightest. Too much of a brickhouse.
Ace Markey, Ultimate Fire Dancer
9/10: You barely have to change anything about Ace's design for him to pass as a fire dancer. Also, imagine him having both stage fright and pyrophobia!
Min Jeung, Ultimate Mask Artisan
8/10: Don't know why, but this talent feels oddly fitting for her.
Whit Young, Ultimate Student Council President
7/10: Sure, Whit is a goofball, but I feel like he'd do his best to make school a fun and easy experience! (Also, Whit always seems to get academic talents in these talentswaps!)
Charles Cuevas, Ultimate Illustrator
8/10: I actually headcanon that Charles is great at drawing, so this talent is fitting for him, in my eyes!
Arei Nageishi, Ultimate Fashion Designer
10/10: Possibly one of the most fitting, non-athletic, talents for someone like Arei!
Nico Hakobyan, Ultimate Crime Scene Cleaner
7/10: It's just a feeling, but I could easily imagine them cleaning up a crime-scene with a straight face, a far cry from the timid soul first impressions would suggest.
Rose Lacroix, Ultimate Child Actress
8/10: I'm just imagine the Spurlings running the film industry, and hiring a young and destitute Rose as a child actress, with her photographic memory helping her memorize her lines.

Anxiety was rolling off you as you sat next to Levi. No matter how much you tried to calm yourself, it wouldn't work. However, a sweet and delicate touch from Levi made your heart slow down a little. The soft gaze of his steel blue eyes made you so deeply happy and loved. Everything you worked for was building up to this moment.
You smiled sweetly at Levi. "I'm glad you are here with me. I don't think I could have made it without you." You leaned over and kissed him. "I love you."
Levi's cheeks burned. "I love you too."
You rose to your feet and let out a long sigh. "Okay, it's time." You glanced back to Levi. "This is dedicated to you, Levi."
"I...I'm honoured."
Levi took your jacket and gripped it tightly as you walked to the rink. He held his breath as you moved to the middle. Every inch of Levi hoped everything went perfectly and you weren't hurt. Music was important in this moment. Even though you looked gorgeous, the music needed to play perfectly so you could perform.
As the music played there was a sense of relief from Levi and your coach. Silence came over people watching because you were so graceful and beautiful. Levi could not stop watching you as you twirled and danced.
There was something about the music and the way you danced that just moved Levi. He was lost for words as his heart fluttered in his chest. He had watched you countless times on the ice, but this dance and music was a surprise. You had practiced this without him knowing and you both knew everything about each other.
Tears filled Levi's eyes as he felt so moved. The love you had for him was rolling off you and flowing into him. A blush covered his kissable cheeks when you skated by and smiled so lovingly at him. He held his breath when you picked up speed, he knew you were going for a big jump and spin.
He gripped your jacket tightly and saw you throw yourself for a dangerous move. He rose to his feet as everything seemed to slow down around him. His eyes widened when you landed it and posed causing and eruption of cheers for you. Levi was so proud of you.
The song slowly came to an end and you gave it one last pose. Levi felt like he could just cry, you were a dream. He hurried to the edge of the rink and gripped the edge tightly. A smile spread on his lips as you skated over to him with a shy smile.
You climbed off the rink and panted. "How was it?"
Levi yanked you against him and kissed you with all the love and passion in his heart. He didn't care that people were watching you both, or that cameras were on you. The only think that mattered was you and his love for you.
He pulled back and panted. "You were like a goddess."
You hugged Levi tightly. "I'm glad you liked it."
He lifted you up making you squeal with laughter. "I am so proud of you."
"Thank you, Levi. I don't care if I get an award. All I want is for you to be happy and proud of me."
"I am incredibly proud." He kissed you again before leading you to a seat."You want something to eat and drink?"
You gazed at him with loving doe eyes. "Please."

Parrings ~ Kylian Mbappé x reader
Summary ~ Your a pro ice skater in Madrid, when you heard the famous Kylian Mbappé was coming to Madrid you followed him, and he followed you too. So what happens when he finally lands in Madrid?
Warnings ~ nun
A/N ~ last chapter😓
Pt.1 pt.2 pt.3 pt.4 pt.5
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night Kylian stayed the night at your apartment. You didn’t want him driving that late at night so offered him to stay the night. He laid in bed with you, holding you close to him as you slept. You both slept with a smiles on your faces.
~~~~
The morning sun creeped through the curtains. Kylian looking down at you, the sun hitting your face just right. It peppered kisses on your face and neck, slowly awaking you.
He saw your eyes fluttering open and smiled softly. “Morning beautiful.” He said, his voice a bit sleepy. “Morning.” You replied with a smile on your face. “I could get used to waking up like this..” he said bringing a hand to caress your cheek. “Me too.” You said leaning into his hand.
“You know, I don’t have training today or anything.” Kylian said quietly. “Then let’s stay like this.” You suggested. “You read my mind.” He smiles.
~~~~~~~~~~~~few years later~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a few years later, Kylian still played for Real Madrid. You had retired from figure skating though. You had you reasons, very good reasons.
It was around 8am Kylian had a match today. You sat and bed, watching as he moved around the room getting ready to head to the Real Madrid facility to get on the team bus.
“Okay love, see you later.” He walked over pressing a kiss to your lips and then your forehead. Grabbing his bag and leaving.
It wasn’t till about 9am you got up and got ready, having a cup of tea. It wasn’t long till you heard the little steps of feet coming to the kitchen. You see your very sleepy 6 year old son, Cameron. “Hey baby.” You said softly. He walks over to you and hugs your leg.
He knows you can’t pick him up anymore due to the 5 month pregnant belly you have. “How about we got wake up Levi and I can make you both breakfast?” You asked him and softly rub his head. He nods and follows you to his little brothers room.
You see the little 3 year old boy sleeping in his toddler bed. You walk over and rub his back to gently wake him up. Levi woke up and looked at you. “Mama..” he said tiredly. “Yeah it’s mama baby, come on it’s time to wake up.” You said softly.
He got up, and rubbed his eyes. You then walk back to the kitchen, Levi and Cameron in tow. They both sat at the table as they wait for whatever you make for breakfast.
You quickly just made them some eggs, and some fruit on the side. You place each plate in front of them. “Okay eat breakfast so I can give you each a bath so we can get ready and go watch daddy play.” You told them.
Around 11am you had the little boys bathed and ready, before you got them in their car seats to drive to the Bernabéu. The drive was about 25 minutes to get there.
You take the boys out their car seats and hold their hands as you walk into the stadium and up to the vip box. The boys sat happily in their seats ready to see their daddy play, wearing their full Real Madrid kits that say ‘daddy’ on them.
~~~~
After the match, Real Madrid won 3-0, kylian coming up to the vip box after changing. He smiles when he sees his beautiful wife and sons. “Hello my love.” He said kissing your forehead and rubbing your belly. “Hey my pretty girl.” He said pressing a soft kiss to your stomach.
He then walks over and messes with Levi and Cameron, picking them both up and smothering them with kisses.
You truly couldn’t ask for anything better…
The end…

The cold, winter air stung on your skin as you leaned over the railing looking into the river, the hum of people chattering and children running around lost in the background of the carnival behind you.
Levi hated these things, but he knew that you loved them and that was enough to get him to drag himself out here.
He hated seeing you stressed, but he knew that he was really the only one that knew how to alleviate it. Having known you since childhood and being your only reliable friend throughout the years, he did feel privileged enough to say that only he was really able to help you truly feel better.
That didn't mean that his hangouts with you were flawless however. Ever since arriving to this local carnival, problems began appearing non-stop. At first you lost your tickets, then every ride you were interested in either had stupidly long lines or were under service, every game that you played ended horribly, and any food you wanted to buy was out of stock. It seemed his plan to get you to destress was backfiring.
He leaned his back on the railing next to you, quietly watching you.
"Sorry this day has been just one shitshow after another," he muttered.
"Yeah," you said with a chuckle. "It really has."
You looked down at the river, your eyes following the tracks on the surface that the ice-skaters during the day had left.
"You know," you spoke up again. "I once heard somebody say 'if you want to save the moment, you should totally kiss'."
Upon Levi's lack of a response, you suddenly realized the implication of what you said, your face flaring up in response.
You glanced over at him and noticed that his body posture had also somewhat tensed.
"Then should we?"
You were not expecting that response.
"Wh-What?!" you shouted unintentionally, internally cringing at how loud you suddenly became.
You glanced over at him and saw that he was looking at you.
"What?" Levi asked, as if he didn't understand why you were reacting the way that you were.
You turned away from him again as your face continued to heat up.
A subtle smirk appeared on his face as he saw how bashful you suddenly got and you immediately frowned when you turned back to him and saw his expression.
"You're a dick."
"Am I?" he asked, tilting his head at you, clearly amused by this interaction.
As aloof as the both of you were, you'd both be lying if you said that you were only best friends. Sure, it might have started off that way, but there was no doubt that it had evolved into something else throughout the years, although you couldn't quite pinpoint what it was yet.
Levi looked away at you and back towards the shitshow that was called the carnival in front of him. He didn't know what was going on between the two of you either, but it didn't matter to him at this point.
All he could think about was that he should take you on these outings more often—and maybe one day follow through with your not-so-innocent comment.
A/N: i have delivered as promised!!!! also now i rly want more carnival levi oneshots/drabbles :(

It's been snowing the past days and my cozy gajevy insanity is growing ever stronger. So have some cozy winter gajeby thoughts (some of these only make sense in my culture but it's my headcanon so deal with it :p):
- Gajeel is a pretty good ice skater (he regularly eats shit when normally walking on ice though)
- Levy absolutely loves snow. Like she can sit there and watch the flakes dance for hours.
- They go for walks if it snows at night no matter how late. Gajeel complains, but he'd never say no because he can't get enough of just the two of them, the quiet snowy town and the light in Levy's eyes
- Gajeel cooks Christmas dinner obviously, but Levy is an absolute cookie ace and loves to make literature themed cookies
- Levy loves warm spiced wine, Gajeel doesn't and usually opts for the alcohol free version, but feels stupid ordering it when it's advertised for children, so Levy orders for him (and he orders for her if the people running the stall think she's underage)
- They both like chocolate-covered fruit, but Levy prefers normal combinations like strawberry or banana and Gajeel likes pineapple and watermelon like some kinda lunatic
- Neither of them are really invested in decorating, but they like to get a Christmas tree and decorate it together
- This tends to be a bit chaotic since they have very different opinions about what looks good
- Gajeel has a custom-made "Merry Crisis" shirt with a picture of a disgruntled Lily in a Santa hat (he's doing that thing cats do when you put something on their head and they can't quite get it off, so they just despair)
- Gajeel is actually a pretty good singer if he's not focusing on it. Levy knows this because she falls in love all over again every time he softly sings along to Christmas songs.
- They don't always do gifts, sometimes they get something together or skip it entirely
- Levy is always chilly, so she wears socks and likes to huddle in blankets, but Gajeel is usually warm and he's fine in a shirt and shorts at home. (they look a bit funny next to each other)
- Their favorite cozy hot drink is tea, Levy likes green and oolong, Gajeel likes black and matcha
- despite not being big into gifts and decorations, they love advent calendars and get each other one every year

NIKOBRAN kids PT2.
........
Physical appearance of the triplets.
Jet- Black hair, Pin straight. ( Originally I was gonna go with blonde hair , but I realized both nikobran have dark hairs so I wanted them to match🥹)
Ice- Blue Eyes. / Sleepy eyes
Symmetrical face ( Exactly like how bran described Niko)
Tall-ish( 1.67~69cm)5'6
.......
-Irina keeps her hair longer ( up to her waist) and always down( as a figure-skater she has to always put it in a bun , so she likes it when it's just down)
-Jas's hair is a bit below her shoulders ( mid back?) She always loves to style her hair. It takes her an hour to style her hair.
-Jamie has a short hair upto her chin. She hates wasting her time on her hair and calls it bothersome most of the time, so she always cuts it short.
.........
Irina is hella competitive in her nature. She absolutely hates being second to someone. Anything she sets her mind to , she's coming out of it as a champion.
Jas is also competitive but she gets bored halfway through. She LOATHE math from the bottom of her heart. She bribes Irina or Jamie to do her homeworks.
Jamie is so thoughtful to others that she'll gladly give ypu her place if she thinks you'd want it. She will help you with anything if it's in her power. She's the type of person who'd call animal shelter if she sees a stray cat or any pet animals ( even though She's terrified of them shit less)
- All sisters are fluent in Russia ( Rai is proud)
- Irina and Jas play Football ( Levi couldn't be more happy) Jamie: " I'm not chasing an inanimate object around 😑"
-Jamie is a big swiftie
-Irina doesn't have a specific favorite for a music, she just listen to anything that slaps. ( Lana del rey is her go to though)
-Jas is an Anianator through and through.
.....
Personality wise.
Irina is always the person who's down to do anything. She's that friend that's always hyper. She gets drunk on orange juice type of person. SHE EATS A LOT!Sometimes her and Niko starts singing on top of their lungs when they feel like it. She has that unnerving 6th sense where she knows something is about to happen before shits happen.
Jas need a bit convincing but she's hella funny when around. As soon as she sees Irina or Jamie agreed then she's down. She hates being separated from her sisters, and always demands a recharge aka group hug. She loves way to deep and gets hurt easily. * Irina had to punch a few waste of space people and gets suspended from school. With Jasmine of course since she's the first to throw hands when provoked *
Jamie hates being in a crowded , loud places. She'd rather go to a museum. Her only exceptions are to a concerts. Irina and Jas have to practicly get on their knees to convince her to go places. Jas being stubborn uses her charms and she agrees. ( Niko always calls her little bran)
.....
Their Fear
Irina is afraid of failure , losing, commitment
Jas is afraid of insects , losing people
Jamie is afraid of cats/dogs , crowded places.
......
Ok I'm running out of ideas 😭. Again this is just a silly thing that's making me happy and not serious 🫶🏻.
I hope you enjoy 🫶🏻

Uno reverse top 5 male characters (can be of anime or all time)!!
~ Ask me any top 5/10 ~
I’ll have you know picking only 5 was a challenge 🤣 I tried to think outside the box and go with characters I find personally admirable rather than just having a strong attraction to (though there is some overlap lol), I also decided to pick animated men just because lol, so my options are limited because there are so many series I haven’t finished 😫
1) Levi Ackerman - obviously he is a solid character I don’t have to say much about him around here 🤣
Tumblr media
2) Soshiro Hoshina KN8 - very similar reasons to Levi, he is a golden leader who cares for those who work under him and worked against odds to hold the position he’s in on the show
Tumblr media
3) Link LOZ (all Links but bonus for skyward Sword & BoTW/ToTK link) - truly a hero of all definitions, courageous by nature but not depicted as perfect, I admire his dedication to his given duty.
Tumblr media
4) Yuri Katsuki (Yuri on ice) - as a figure skater his dedication to succeed is inspiring to me personally, I love him to death 🥹
Tumblr media
5) Zuko (ATLA) - he has one of the most beautiful redemption arcs I’ve ever seen in media, a shining example of how people can truly change.
Tumblr media
Thank you for the ask Bee 💗💗💗

Omg!! Thank you so much for sharing your art with us <3 I would like to request Levihan, prompt 05 <3 thank you beautiful human
Hi anon! Sorry for the wait but it is here! First, let me apologize that it has been a year since I wrote Levihan, so the characters may be oc. I tried to capture how they were when I was into Levihan tho. I hope you like it!
Prompt 05.  I’m a pro-athlete at a press conference and I make a comment to my buddy about you because I forgot my mic was on
Note: Modern au (Winter Olympics), fluff, potential for something more, fem Hange
Word count: 1k
Warning: not beta read, possible OC characters, and idk much about the Olympics besides what is on TV/TikTok
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The infamous Ackerman siblings. Levi and Mikasa Ackerman, also known as the Monster Siblings, due to their "awakened" abilities the moment their blades touch the ice.
Two of the greatest Olympic skaters in this generation with a gold medal in ice dancing during their debut year. They even had more medals under their belt from other events.
Levi Ackerman was used to the attention. The lights and cameras took some getting used to at first. Now, seven years later, Levi could care less about them before their third Winter Olympics.
The same applied to his little sister, Mikasa, who typically kept a stoic face on camera except when she won. Of course, this meant the world had nothing better to do than get into the sibling's business. Especially now, after their recent win and the gold medals to prove it is shining around their necks.
"Question for Levi, when are you thinking about retiring?"
Levi's face remained stoic, but he wanted to groan in annoyance. Luckily, for Mikasa's sake, he refrained from it. "Not thinking about it. Next question."
The reporter looked away and turned to Mikasa to address it. Mikasa smiled before rambling on about whatever her answer was. Levi leaned back and internally thanked his sister before letting his eyes wander through the crowd.
There was a tall guy with a horse-like face, another guy with the ugliest bowl cut Levi had ever seen, and a woman eating a plain potato.
Seriously, who let her in her? Levi grimaced as the crumbs fell on the floor. He mentally made a note to increase security for the next press conference and clean that up later. Levi's eyes wandered some more as Mikasa continued about today's performance.
There was a very tall guy with blond hair covering his eyes, a woman with short banana-blonde hair, and another woman. who had-
"The most shittiest glasses I have ever seen."
Many eyes turned to face Levi, including the woman who had the supposed "shitty glasses." His eyes widened slightly as the woman's eyes met his. The woman was not the only person wearing glasses, but her oval-shaped glasses stood out to him for some reason. They were due for a cleaning, too, and Levi had to stop himself from wiping it with his handkerchief. Instead, Levi mentally prepared herself to face the stranger's wrath but was met by the woman grinning wildly. Meanwhile, Mikasa turned to see who her brother was looking at and the woman, connecting two and two together. She cleared her throat and spoke into the mic.
"What my brother means is that everyone here has nice glasses. He has a shitty way of expressing it." She said with a closed-eyed smile. Despite his sister not looking angry, Levi could sense it from where he sat.
Levi sighed and took a sip of his earl grey tea nearby.
This was going to be a long day.
---
Hange scribbled down her notes gleefully as she reflected on her day. First, her puppies, Sawney and Bean, were the most absolute angels she had ever met. Then she met up with her co-workers to head to the Olympics. Finally, she was noticed by Levi Ackerman. The most famous ice skater of the century! Sure, she was noticed in an abnormal way, but Hange did not mind. Her favorite celebrity acknowledged her, and it could not get any better than that.
"We are going to head out, Hange," Erwin said, and Hange smiled.
"I'm just finishing up, so you can go ahead. See you tomorrow!"
"See you tomorrow!" Nanaba replied, and Mike nodded before leaving.
The center hall was silent, minus a few voices around here and there. Hange was on her last note when she heard footsteps heading closer in her direction.
"Oi, Shitty Glasses."
Hange could not hide her smile, practically ignoring his insult. "Levi! Nice to meet you! My name is Hange. Do you need something?"
Levi shuffled around awkwardly like he was contemplating what to say. "I just wanted to apologize for earlier. I should not have said that for the cameras to hear."
Hange laughed loudly. "It's alright. I was not offended. I was happy that you acknowledged me, though. You are one of my favorite athletes in the Games."
Levi's mouth curled up slightly. "Thanks. I appreciate that. Just don't let my sister know, or else she might do something about it."
Hange moved her fingers along her mouth and threw the imaginary zipper to the ground. "Don't worry, that will be safe with me."
"Thanks. There is something I want to do before I head back to the Village."
"What's that?"
Levi held his hand out. "Hand me your glasses."
"Okay…" Hange replied in confusion as she fulfilled Levi's request. She watched Levi pull a handkerchief from his pocket and gently wipe it along her lenses. Hange heard rumors of Levi being a clean freak, but seeing it in person amazed her. Levi meticulously cleaned and often held it to the light to ensure no dust remained. He returned the glasses back to her once he was satisfied.
"Here. Make sure you maintain it, or else you won't be able to see."
"Thanks, Levi." Hange placed the glasses back on her, and her eyes widened in amazement. "Woah! Everything looks so much clearer now! It's like those commercials!"
Levi's smile grew a millimeter bigger. "Don't sing the song. But I have a question to ask before I go."
"Shoot."
"I have a free skate coming up. You can watch it if you want as an apology for earlier. I can even set you up with seats that are close by. You will just be sitting with my sister."
Hange grinned from ear to ear. "YES, YES, I WILL DO THAT!"
"Good." Levi dug inside his pocket again and handed Hange a slip of paper. "Here is my number. Just text me later, and I can send you the details."
Hange grabbed the paper and stuffed it in her purse. "Thanks, Levi." She glanced at her watch and shot Levi an apologetic look. "I need to get home to check on my pups. See you later, Levi!" Hange yelled as she ran off and waved goodbye.
Levi only waved back as he watched her move farther away, his heart beating a mile a minute for some reason. "See you later, Hange."

Wanted to expand on some of the stuff I wrote down on the religion hc post the other day + expand on the Julian stuff + … oh who am I kidding you guys know I’d just snap up any excuse to draw em rn I make no efforts to hide it /lh.
But on a serious note, the human-au specific notes;
1. Tailor develops his first crush on a classmate at the age of 10 on the boy that sat next to him during his Sunday Hebrew School; Noah Rubin. Noah was an intelligent and studious boy, Tailor finds himself coming over quite shy whenever he sees him, and he has a strange fluttery sensation in his stomach if he thinks about him … hm what could this mean?
2. Tailor talks to his synagogue’s Rabbi Levi. A compassionate and genuine man, Tailor felt safer talking to Levi even before his parents.  As expected, it was good call. They had a very genuine conversation that day about being born the way you’re supposed to be. Levi also knew Modiste and Yarner well enough to encourage Tailor to talk to them openly, which of course also goes well :)
3. The textile trio have a teenage talk some years later. All 3 discover none of them are straight and in Weaver’s case, not cis either.
4. Teen!Tailor meets a local sports star Julian Adkins. Julian is a regional champion ice skater, with the costumes to match. He’s confident, charismatic, charming … at least to begin with.
5.Yeah that smooth personality didn’t last long. Julian’s true personality comes out once he thinks he has Tailor on the hook. Selfish, manipulative, egotistical … Julian was only really after some fashionable clothes and a warm body for free. By the time Tailor got the sense to leave him it had already done some damage to both his optimism and his graduate programme, which he dropped out of due to having to see Julian on campus so much.
6. Adult!Tailor takes up his cousin’s offer to come and be their business partner in a little start up village they’ve heard about in Europe. The town could do with some clothes makers and the three think it would be an excellent start-over. Tailor thinks this might be a good opportunity to make some new friends at the very least … the villagers seem nice :)
7. Several months after his wedding, Tailor Nudell-Cotter wrote a letter to Rabbi Levi. It mostly wished him well but also thanked him for being the first person he spoke to all those years ago, and reassured him that Tailor was truly happy where and who he was with now. He received a letter back a couple of weeks later that was genuinely proud of him. Tailor keeps the letter in his nightstand. He still looks at it sometimes.

Just some AOT things that’s been going through my mind these past few days:
- modern AU Eruri adopting baby Gallibros
- Modern AU Levi going on a first date with Erwin and straight up telling him he only wants a husband real quick so he can adopt all the kiddos, which has Erwin head over heels immediately
- Porco and Marcel on Paradis joining the 104th
- Modern AU Porco owning a huge doggo he goes on runs with
- Porco as an ice hocked player, Marcel as a figure skater
- Porco is a snowboarder while Marcel prefers skiing
- Jean having an alcohol problem, especially post Rumbling
- Modern AU Eren doing a PowerPoint presentation about his past lovers (he dated everyone) and he’s dedicated most of the slides to Porco, which Po can only roll his eyes at
… and probably some more that I forgot
